Abandoned 1950's Luxury Ski and Honeymoon Resort (Time-Capsule)

[Music] what's going on everybody right now in this video we're going to an abandoned honeymoon resort from the 1950s we have to hike down like three miles we're in the woods right now or hiking for a little bit and right now we're in front of the end to what is the ski lift for this old resort we're gonna hike down there and once I get to the location I'll give more history so let's go let's go oh there's the lift slowly we're getting down here covered a lot of ground so far that building right there with Depot for all the people to wait to go onto the ski lift so back in the winter time this whole place would be filled up with snow and what the riders go up and down that's basically what we're walking on over it now so basically the history of this place is it was built in the early 1900's specifically 1903 and at the time it was the most luxurious resort in the in the areas like in all states coming around us it was under new owners in 1950 and then they repurposed it specifically to be a vets resort for people coming back from World War two since then they haven't done much it closed down in the late 2000s and you know like everything else on my channel they've got left to rot so we had a couple friends come here I've seen some pictures there's a lot untouched like nearly no graffiti and there's a lot of natural decay so let's hop back in this time capsule see the glass so they'd be a fire pit right there so I got the logs and I everyone goes around now it's a pool so cool how to solve the ski rentals all around here got the boots I was a kid and when they say they left everything behind oh my god everything is here it's going that these are probably worth some money it smells horrible in here smells like feet I'm kidding either it's like they literally left this place couple days ago everything's still hanging out courtside of the ice rink we're heading into those buildings max don't know where that's gonna be in there probably a pool maybe a theater and that those big building I'm thinking oh there's a fox that was cool Wow and like I say if you've a big building is probably where everybody slept so let's go check out Oh Jim oh there is a pool now it's really certainly look like a hotel almost look like the lights are on beauties of skylights tennis and racquetball Nature has taken this place over they locked it Oh broken window I'm stupid oh it's so dark in here it's a huge a big warehouse space but there's no nuts or anything so these must be the locker rooms it smells horrible wow this must be the sauna wow that's huge I have no idea no idea where to go oh wow I didn't see that this whole time little mattresses for the place or at least this building everything outside you see it's more abandoned buildings lot explore see the luggage me everywhere the place totally looks like 1950s era yeah see architecture right there is that a bar yeah the Christmas decorations man I understand as this fancy and this you know expensive luxury I understand how it ever goes out of bit since I don't know how they ever just leave it took so much money to probably build this place current staircase there with the lobby its art right here though is what I have my eyes on it's the horror cafe Wow little dining room oh wow this place is huge oh I see some really cool paintings on that wall let's go down the master staircase open this place is giving me like at your noble vibe just you know if you've seen Chernobyl stop her play call duty you know what's there said I'm talking about [Music] is a toad in here Oh scared so as you could see in the background where literally I was a hawk we're literally in the mountains over there is the outdoor pool we already checked out the inside that's probably a pool house if some really cool building some villa looking architecture they go to you and we have the big probably dormitory with the patients I said patients where the resort errs where the vacationers would sleep oh the floor is super soft yeah watch your step in here yeah this is maybe where workers did stay because there's a lot of personal belongings in here at least more stuff than that would be taken on a trip we have now confirmed that the building we are in currently was used to house workers that have been here and work here pictures are found everywhere in this building that's literally the same exact racket that we just saw on a picture this is the creepiest thing because I could be I'm standing in these areas where these workers once you lived and what if it's so creepy to see it completely parallel to what they're used to you're way used today so apparently according to this picture to Wayne the rock Johnson stayed at this very resort that's crazy it's a picture home in 90s beautiful side all the doors to this place or wide-opened who a lot of mold kind of building is this Bobby I kid you not this place literally smells like a hotel all the rooms seems to be empty you though I guess we'll just keep going up got all the keys to every single room got the marble all behind the elevator so first steps in through this floor we have beds we have furniture I thought this building was going to be nothing wow TV still in here too I was hoping we were gonna be able to see how these people stayed oh my god this room is absolutely beautiful this time this must have been like the nicest suite you can get up in here wow this place is beautiful this room that we're in right now has to be one of the most amazing rooms I've ever seen while exploring it's like we just walk into a completely different era and everything is just completely decayed it's so perfect for photography for filming this is literally why we do this step into a time capsule see what the past was like so cool it's he'll sit on this floor that's probably the best we're gonna see though oh my decay in these built these rooms are insane this room even had a library to all the books on the floor pretty much your own kitchen if the old stove I love this print I love all the metallic and all the fonts and everything everything's real metal swish font we'll go back to that or honestly it's so it looks so much better than just plain I can get lost in here this building has to be top five places I've ever explored I've been to a lot of places but just this floor alone full of everything beats nearly everything I've ever done exploring the decay just everything left behind how it is it's just it's beautiful if you enjoyed this video right now give it a thumbs up I mean this is I know if I time that's all it is it's crazy it's like a maze through time sweet after our pool while those seventies colors right there take a shot right there so looks like this little deck up here was the little chill-out spot might have had a bar or grill or both back here and we have the pool overlooking a tall beautiful beautiful location this place in its prime must have been top ten best resorts you could tell the money they put into it [Music]
