welcome back I'm Robert breaker and I've got a doozy of a message prepared for you today I want to talk about a change lifestyle question mark you know there's a lot of preachers around and they go around and they say well you got to have a change lifestyle you and your life has to change after you get saved and they call themselves I guess fruit inspectors and they go around say we got to look for fruit in your life and if their fruit have you any fruit for Jesus because that proves if you're saved or not and I rejoice I say man that's good that's good you know on salvation there should be a change because you change for being lost to being saved and you get the only spirit within you and there should be some things that are different after you're saved than before but a lot of these folks that run around I'd like to ask you if your lifestyle changed it's interacting to me how they they are looking at certain things that they perceive as changes without looking at the scripture to see what the scripture says is supposed to change so I'm going to come at this to you today from the Bible and we're going to look at some Bible verses about whether or not you are truly saved and we can look at you and look for fruit but we're going to find out what that fruit is supposed to be from the scriptures so let's go to Matthew chapter 7 first of all and I'll begin reading in Matthew chapter 7 verse 13 and all I want to do today is give you Bible I'm a King James Bible believer but I'm also a King James Bible reader and also a King James Bible practice sir what the Bible says that's what I do that's what I believe and I practice what the Bible says I want to be a true Christian that really does do right so let's look at this Matthew chapter 7 I begin reading there in verse 13 Jesus is speaking in Jesus says enter ye in at the strait gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go there at because Strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life and few there be that find it isn't that sad few find the true way many are going through the wrong way through the wrong date the verse 15 says and Jesus is warning us he says beware of false prophets which come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ravening wolves notice what he says there he says they outwardly are a certain way but he said inwardly hello they're like wolves interesting and then he says here in verse 16 you shall know them by their fruits so Jesus is saying look at those people they might look great outwardly but inwardly they're bad so watch for their fruit to see who or what they may be do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles verse 17 by the way thorns thistles they're sticky they stick you ingenious saying watch out for people that go around he's trying to stick you all the time until it sounds like but he says even so every good tree bring forth good fruit but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit every tree verse 19 that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire verse 20 wherefore by your fruits you shall know then okay now look in verse 21 not everyone that saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven so wait a minute Jesus says not everyone that comes to me with their mouth and says Lord Lord and calls on me shall shall make it into the kingdom huh so not everybody that calls it well anyway that's a different subject listener I think it says not everyone that saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven number 22 many will say to me in that day Lord Lord have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils and in thy name done many wonderful works what will happen to those what is that day well that day is the day of the great white throne of judgment these are people who were religious they called on God but they weren't saved and they said Oh God Lord you know we we thought we were Christians look at all the stuff that we did outwardly and they're standing at the judgment thinking that they should be deserving heaven because of what they did and look at verse 23 and then will I profess to them I never knew you depart from me you that work iniquity here are some people that thought they were Christians they said Lord Lord and they did all these wonderful works in the name of the Lord and they were lost and God tells them depart from me I never knew you what does that mean it means go to hell Jesus literally sends these people that called upon him and did good works for him to hell because they weren't saved and the context is they had bad fruit hmm all right so let's start out today with this let's look at this again there's a lot of people that run around and preach on this topic of well when you become a Christian a Christian had good fruit it buy your fruit you know them so they say I know I'm a Christian because my life chop style changed after I got saved you know I used to go out and go to parties or I used to drink rice to fornicate or I used to do these horrible things well that what I'm saying I don't do that anymore good hey man I applaud you but according to the scriptures you can change your life and still be lost just changing your lifestyle doesn't mean you're saved there's something that needs to take place and what are you doing you're judging your lifestyle based upon what you do outwardly but I Got News for you that salvation is something that takes place in word now I'm getting ahead of myself let me go ahead and quote this 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 and verse 17 senator 85 5:17 says therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things are passed away behold all things become new so there's not just some things that change in your life the Bible says all things change in your life and you become a new creature in Christ so yes there should be a change lifestyle for a child of God for a Christian there are some things that should change after you're safe what should change well what happens in salvation Salvation believe it or not is not what happens outwardly when you're saved God doesn't clean your outward self yes that's a good thing that you outwardly clean up your life when you get saved but salvation is inward when you're saved the Holy Spirit of God comes inside of you and guess what there's a change that's supposed to take place within you see a lot of people all they want to do is they want to look fruit outwardly and they focus on the outward they're not looking for fruit inward you know it's not just the outward that makes fruit there should be fruit inward as well let me show you Jesus said in Luke chapter 17 when he was talking about the Pharisees by the way who were the Pharisees while the Pharisees were those guys that had dirty evil hearts that were wicked and violent and godly full of pride and envy and yet outwardly their lives looked so holy to the people of Israel they would walk around like I am the most holy person in the world look at my lifestyle how I've changed but how good I live look at me and Jesus said you're lost your lawyers here hypocrites see what they did they only focused on the outward fruit they didn't focus on the inward look at what Jesus says in Luke chapter 17 verse 20 and 21 when he was demanded of the Pharisees when the kingdom of God should come he answered and said unto them the kingdom of God cometh not with observation it's not something that you see outwardly that's the kingdom of God now the king of heaven when Jesus returns at Armageddon well that's that yeah that is outward observation every eye shall see him but salvation the kingdom of God getting saved is something that takes place within your heart and a lot of people don't see that and they want to see that they want to see you do something outwardly so think about he's saved because what he did outwardly but you're saved when something takes place within what is that believing the gospel from the heart it's an inward thing from the heart you trust in the blood of Christ but Luke 17:21 here's the kicker here's what Jesus says neither shall they say lo here or lo there for behold the kingdom of God is within you so it's within you Oh so salvation is something that takes place within you so it's not just without that we should be going around looking at you see the Pharisees the hypocrites the people that were against Jesus the ones that Jesus warns us of were the wolves in sheep's clothing were the ones that robbed focusing on the outward that look let me put without or outward they're always looking upon the outward appearance and so they say look at me look at me how great I am because look at all the good fruit that I have and the good things that I do outwardly and Jesus was always rebuking those Pharisees saying yeah but what about what's within you what about what's inside of you you Pharisees you hypocrites you - you're vipers you sinners you wicked people full of envy and murder and lust so there's some things that need to take place within and what God looks at is not be out God's looking what's inside God focuses on the inward not just the outward look at 2nd Corinthians 4:16 for which cause we faint not but though our outward man perish yet the inward man is renewed day by day well we become sane we've come a new creature all things become new not just the outward things are changed but there should be an inward change and the inward the inside is called the new man the inward man the Bible calls it but Paul says in Romans 7 22 I delight in the law of God after the inward man see I'm not what you see that's just my body I'm the guy inside the body I'm the guy inside you it's my inward man what does the Bible talk about what it talks about the inward man well Romans 12:2 Romans chapter 2 verse 28 29 says for he is not a Jew which is one outwardly neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh but he is a Jew which is one inwardly and that circumcision is of the heart in the spirit and not in the letter whose praise is not of men but of God Jesus said the fear of man brings the snare the Pharisees were always going around and saying look at me outwardly what I do outwardly look at me look at me and Jesus wasn't looking at anything they did outward he was looking right into their hearts knees going Bob pride Envy hate lust murder and he's saying wow there is no no real through lifestyle there these people are lost religious hypocrites that only care about themselves and doing good works before man so that men will think they're so great and they don't care about what God truly thinks about them inwardly Philippians chapter 1 in verse 5 the Apostle Paul tells us he says being confident of this very thing that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it unto the day of Jesus Christ when we get saved there's a work that takes place within us and in the Bible the change is supposed to be the inward change not just the outward change so there should be a change in our heart it's interesting that the context of God working in you is the gospel Philippians 1 5 cents for your clothes have been the gospel from the first day until now then 6 says being confident of this very thing that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it in to the day of Christ verse 7 even as this is meat for me to think this of you because I have you in my heart as much as both in my bonds and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel you're all protectors of my grace so the context is you got to believe the gospel and when you trust the gospel accept the gospel by faith then God begins a good work in you and that work is to come out of you so it's not in changing your lifestyle and cleaning up the outside even though that's good and that should happen it's concentrating on the inside and then being what you should be within and then working that outwardly a lot of people they miss that they don't understand so today we'll only focus on the outward change of their lifestyle and they said well I don't smoke anymore or drink or chew or fornicate or cuss or run with those that do unchanged look at my change my style look at me outwardly how I'm so different but there's no change whatsoever inwardly so what are you your Pharisee you have changed outward and you have a man to say look how I'm different but are you any different whatsoever inside you see people can change their outward lifestyle without being saved it happens all the time people have religious experiences but they don't get our salvation they don't get saved and so they change their life they clean up their life right so I don't drink or smoke anymore and I go to church I do all this stuff and they're in the flesh glorying in the flesh trusting in the works of the black and such people are trusting in their works to save it but has there been the work in their heart of salvation that's a good question so how do we find out how the Bible says by your virtue shall know them are there certain fruits that we can look at in the life of a person and you know we can't know if a person saved or not but we can look at that person and we can try to figure out I wonder if that guy saved is there a way to try to judge I mean you're not supposed to judge but is there a way that we can try to you know just kind of ask the question it's so and so saved or not is there is there a fruit that we can look for well the Bible says there's what's called the fruit of the Spirit oh the fruit of the Spirit okay well the fruits of the spirit are in Galatians chapter 5 so I ask you to go there because it's the spirit that saves us when we're saved were saved and the Holy Spirit is what's supposed to come inside of us when we're saved so that's the inward fruits a lot of people all they want are the outward fruit all they want to do is focus in on the flesh and say look how my flesh is change look how my blessings change look at what I do and the flesh is different but the Bible says no no no no I don't care about that what is different within it because it what's right in your heart is correct then that will come out over here you see people can do good works and still not be saved but when you get saved there's a work that God does in your heart and there is a fruit that is called the fruits of the spirit and that's what we should look at to see if a person synched or not that's what the determining factor is a person has really has a change lifestyle is what's inside of them has changed so let's look at what the fruits of the spirit are Galatians chapter 5 and verse 22 look what it says I'll read from verse 22 all the way down to verse 26 notice what the fruits of the spirit are but the fruit of the Spirit now says for it's singular but there's nine of a mention here nine of them so I put a plural fruits of the spirit I'm not changing the King James Bible and adding a letter if it makes you feel better I'll just take that off and we'll use the Bible term fruit of the Spirit but there's nine different things that the Bible calls the fruit of the Spirit it says in verse 22 but the fruit of the Spirit is let me write these down there's nine of them I want you to remember this because this is how God judges the changed lifestyle of a person to see if they're saved or not but the purlins spirit is love joy and peace okay we got love joy and peace then it says long-suffering gentleness goodness long-suffering gentleness who a heartless and honest heart be gentle gentleness and goodness and in the last three it says our faith meekness and temperance faith meekness allows that's oh that's a hard one sometimes it's hard to be a weak person and then it says temperance so this is what the Bible is talking about when it talks about the change lifestyle what should change in a man after salvation is not just the fact that his life changed outwardly and that's a good thing I'm not putting that down yes I'm glad you don't longer smoke or drink or chew or cuss or do although that's great but that's not what determines whether you're saved or not lost people can change their lifestyles what determines if a person is saved or not is if they have the fruit of the Holy Spirit you see by their fruits you shall know them do they have any of these I've known Christians that claim to be Christians that I've met some of the meanest most hateful just angry people you didn't even want to be around them and they didn't love you and it's obvious because they probably didn't even love themselves and you look at such people and and I look at it my saying well didn't have any love no no does it have any joy it's Noble does it have any peace not really to have any long-suffering gentleness goodness no I don't I don't see that in their life then they have anything they're making this or temperance stuff no so if we're going to be fruit inspectors and we're going to look at people's lives and we're going to declare someone saved or not which oftentimes we shouldn't do we can't just look at their flesh and say well Albert Lee he's not drinking he's not smokings not cussing and not doing it so he might be saved because outwardly look what he's doing but you never look at one of they are inwardly I have a question what if a person claims to be a Christian but he doesn't show any of the fruits of the spirit not even one what do you do with that do you declare them lost do you say well there's no fruit he claims to be saved if he's saved what does I mean he's got the Holy Spirit inside of him if he's got the Holy Spirit inside of him that he would have fruit of the Holy Spirit and he would manifest some of these at least one of these but yet I have known Christians they don't have one note not one of the fruits of the spirit so I ask the question are they are they safe or have they just change their lifestyle without trusting in the blood atonement of Christ and they're thinking in their mind I'm saved because what I do look how I'm different and they've never gotten saved and that's why inside they're no different than they were before you see people say I got saved and I don't longer go to parties subtle longer listen to rock music I no longer fornicate and do all this stuff and you say okay well how about this do you have any love anymore or do you still hate people like you did before do you have any joy you have Pease do you put up with people are you gentle and meek are you still angry in attacking and making fun and ridiculing and mocking it and full of pride like you were before you got support we've got to ask the question if we're going to be fruit inspectors like people want to be and we're going to say that when you can say there's a change lifestyle then we have to preach what the Bible says the Bible says this business fruit so do you have any of these it's good question isn't it so let me continue reading there Burke 22 it says these nine things on the fruit of the Spirit and it says verse 23 against such there is no law verse 24 and they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts if we live in the spirit let us also walk in the spirit now look in verse 26 this is what a Christian who wants to show fruit is supposed to be like in verse 26 let us not be desirous of vain glory provoking one another or envying one another so what we should do is we should love one another and we should show long-suffering gentleness goodness meekness temperance and we should show this toward others and that shows fruit that hey we have truly been saved and we have the Holy Spirit in us that teaches us that this is the fruit that we as Christians practice now in the same very same passage in Galatians chapter 5 we have what are called the works of the flesh if you know I went one time and I went through my Bible and I numbered each one listed here and I came up with 18 different works of the flesh I thought that was so interesting 18 that's 6 plus 6 plus 6 so 6 6 6 18 works of the flesh let's look at what the works of the flesh are but let me let me back up and read from verse 13 all the way down to verse 21 and let's look at what the works of the flesh argue so people say well absolutely look at me how different I am look I've changed my lifestyle have you really are are you still in the flesh let's find out let's ask that question verse 13 for brethren ye have been called unto Liberty only use not Liberty for an occasion to the flesh but by love serve one another what love that's one of the fruits of the spirit love one another serving one another but love 14 for all the laws build in one word even in this thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself verse 15 but if you bite and devour one another take heed that you be not consumed one of another oh we should invite and devour one another and consume one another well that's not love that's not isn't isn't nice sixteen this I say then walk in the spirit that ng shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh 17 for the flesh lusteth against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh and these are contrary the one to the other so that you cannot do the things that you would so the flesh is against the spirit so we want to brag on our change lifestyle in the flesh shouldn't we make sure that what happened is there was a change inside first I know a lot of people claim to be Christians they have a change lifestyle but yet they don't have any of these they're still biting devouring one another being mean and evil and doing bad things toward others they're literally in the flesh not in the spirit hmm and you can be saved and be in the flesh and a lot of people are unfortunately and yet they're bragging on their fruit when this is the true fruit what's in the heart interesting in the Pharisee seat I wonder but anyway it says here in verse 18 but if you'd be led of the Spirit you're not under the law now verse 19 the works of the flesh now the works of the flesh are manifest which are these all right the first one is adultery fornication uncleanness lasciviousness a lot of people say well I'm not guilty of those so I'm doing good I don't fornicate or do this thing okay well let's go to verse 20 idolatry witchcraft they say yeah I'm good I'm not an adulterer I don't practice witchcraft I'm Gracie I'm saved and my lifestyle proves that I don't do any of those things we'll hold on a second because that there's a whole lot more look what it says here hatred if you're a Christian and you hate somebody uh that's right next to witchcraft [Music] hatred is the work of the flesh and if you're currently saved and you want to show your fruit of salvation then you should get rid of hate because hate is the opposite of love so yeah you might have a change lifestyle you don't do those things but you're full of hey oh do you really have a change lifestyle look at the next one variance emulations wrath strife seditions it's person that claims to be a Christian that's full wrath and anger and wants to cause strife and seditions and put Christians at variance to one another and just goes around full hate just I don't like this guy this guy's evil and name-calling and attacking you really got to ask so really a change lifestyle in that person I mean seriously because maybe they change some of their sins and cleaned up some of their sins but what they're manifesting are not the fruits of the Spirit of God to the same man supposed to have they're still manifesting the works of the flesh so either they're lost or they're a carnal Christian who's still in the flesh maybe they are saved but they're in the flesh well that would be scary wouldn't it the next one after seditions is heresies you see you start going down that road of hate and anger and strife and bitterness and you start in the flesh it'll eventually end up in heresies boy that's why I want to be on this side I want to show people my change lifestyle not just by how I live and yes I do live right I don't cuss or steal or cheat or lie on I make sure I try to live a holy righteous life but I want to show people my fruit by practicing these things because these are the fruit of the Spirit amen and by so doing the Bible gives me a promise that I won't fall into false doctrine because I'm practicing what the Bible teaches now the next thing is envyings murderers I've met some Christians that are envious and have much heat in their heart for other Christians they really wish that other Christian would die well you've committed murder in your heart already murders drunkenness revellings and such like from the which I tell you before as i have also told you in time past that they which do these things or such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God now people say well that means they can't be saved no no no inheritance says inherit your inheritance is what you receive when you get to heaven as a Christian it's the rewards so what he's saying there is that if you're full of hate and invariants and emulations and rats and stripes and seditions and heresies and these other things and you're a Christian then you're losing rewards in heaven because you're in the flesh and not in the spirit it's going to lead you down a path to the wrong way it's going to take away your rewards so then he starts in verse 22 but the word but is a contrasting wording the contract this is how you might be acting but this is how a true Christian according to the King James Bible is supposed to show fruit as a real Christian Wow isn't that interesting so some Christians don't walk in the spirit and show their spiritual fruit rather their fruit literally stinks because they are still in the flesh and they might say well I don't murder I don't drink I don't steal I'm not those ones that do witchcraft or fornication but you're those other ones on the list that practice hatred variance emulations wrath strife seditions in beings you do you see what I'm saying so many today are so self-righteous as they want to pry themselves on look at me I don't do the outward things in the flesh that people can see yeah you do those sins inwardly that people can't see and yet you're bragging on your change lifestyle uh why don't you just just settle down and then when you get your heart right with God and you get those things right then go tell people that you really have a change lifestyle because salvation brings more than just the fleshly change salvation is a work within you that changes your heart so that you are now someone that truly loves other Christians and has joy and peace and someone that truly has gentleness and long-suffering towards others and that truly practices meekness and temperance and love of the brother well there it is say man that's what the Bible teaches Paul dealt with people that were Christians that they might have had a changed outward lifestyle but what he was always running into was people that were Christians that didn't have an inward change and either they weren't saved or they were as Paul says carnal they were carnal they were carnal Christians and carnal Christians would just read have no inheritance in the kingdom of God that means they won't get any rewards in heaven because they're serving Jesus in the flesh and not in the spirit the Bible commands us to walk in the spirit will we walk in the spirit guess what we're going to have a change lifestyle and we're going to manifest the fruit of the Spirit and people will see in us that we do have the Holy Spirit and we are true Christians and people see that people see how you act people see your demeanor people see your reputation your your your way of living your what is the word I'm looking for your your attitude people see your attitude and they judge you not based on how good of a Christian you are because you don't drink or smoke they judge you by whether or not you're manifesting love joy peace long-suffering gentleness goodness because that's what the Bible says is the fruit and yet you still brag on but I have a strange lifestyle look how I don't drink or smoke yeah but why do you still hate other Christians and but you get the message I don't have to repeat myself I mean the Paul says in 1st Corinthians chapter 3 he says and I brethren could not speak unto you in spirit unto spiritual but as unto carnal even as though to babes in Christ he says you're nothing but a baby you're a babe in Christ what is the babe what is the baby it's a young person you see we as Christians we're supposed to grow and mature a grown mature Christian is a Christian that focuses more on this than this and if the change hasn't taken place in the heart from hate and variance and strife and in being ttan and meanness then there's still a baby in Christ hmm my old pastor was the interrupt man I said it before I'm not trying to hide that I mean a great Bible teacher but he had some problems he he wasn't very good at showing this I hate to say that he was in the flesh but if you ever listen to some of his preaching who ever knew Peter ruckman ever read his commentaries you see that a lot of times he would he would get angry and attack other people and you know sometimes rightly so I mean the people he were attacking was was apostates that were attacking the gospel that were attacking the doctrine of salvation and the doctrine of the inspiration and preservation and they would attack the King James Bible but learning from his life I learned a good doctrine but also learned I don't want to be a minister who is in the flesh I want to be a minister who's walking in the spirit and I want to focus more on my change lifestyle in Word and I want to show that outward because if I write here then my outward life will be right does that make sense I hope it does so Paul says look I couldn't speak unto you at spiritual but as a carnal even has been to babes he says you're a baby if you don't learn the true fruit which is the fruit of the Spirit that you're supposed to manifest as a Christian verse 2 says I've fed you with milk and not with meat for another two you were not able to bear it neither yet now were you able verse three for ye are yet carnal how do we know if a person is a carnal Christian will Paul lays it right out for you he says right here in verse 3 for whereas there is among you in being strife and divisions are you not carnal and walk ISM in so the mark of a carnal Christian is someone that devotes their time to envy strife and divisions he's trying to divide the instead of uniting the brother he's causing strife among the Brethren and he's in v8 he's wishing I wish I had with that guy had and I wish I had this night that is a carnal babe in Christ how should a Christian act or live to show his truth fruit to really really prove that he has a changed life stuff what really marks the change lifestyle of a Christian let's look at some verses about that I want to show you what Paul says a Christian should be like and when a Christian is like this then he is really showing his change lifestyle because I've known people oh no so many of them and I just switch all myself from them because they bring me down they really do they bring me down I don't like being around people that are in the flesh all the time I like being around spiritual people that love God and get together and just talk about the Bible and fellowship in the word amen but I've met these folks and that they're just there they're attacking and yet they pride themselves on look how great on them I am as a Christian because look at all the good I view and look how I don't do these things that other people do and it's all about the outward to them it's not about focusing inward on themselves and making sure that they have all of the fruits of the spirit so Paul says this is how a true Christian should live 2nd Timothy 2:22 I'm going to read down to verse 24 we also use the lust but follow righteousness faith charity peace with them they call the Lord of a pure heart so a true Care Christian is someone that's following righteousness faith charity peace and it says here in verse 23 but foolish and learning questions avoid knowing that they do ginger stripes a Christian who who's not manifesting the fruits of the spirit is someone that always is going around trying to start strife how about that in that weird if the Bible tells us and warns us about certain things so these Christians these based in Christ all they want to do is go around and ask fool questions verse 24 the servant of the Lord must not strive what give me a true Christian a true minister a true preacher his job is not to strive it says but be gentle unto all men apt to teach patient so a true Christian is supposed to be gentle and he's supposed to be apt to teach not attack and it says here what else is he supposed to do he's supposed to not gender strife but be patient so apt to teach patient huh patient will be spelled right there patient so that's what a true Christian is supposed to be so if we really want to look at the change lifestyle of a person that going to be Christian they say I'm a Christian because look at my change lifestyle well that's looking left out the question are they gentle are they apt to teach are they patient with others do they have as we read in the early part of the verse charity if they don't then they're carnal Christians and they're not manifesting a true change lifestyle they're actually still in the flesh interesting Colossians chapter 3 look what it says closet 3:5 says mortify therefore your members which are on the earth upon the earth fornication uncleanness inordinate affection evil concupiscence can Koopa sense and covetousness which is idolatry for which things sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience in which you also walk sometime when you live in them so before you were saved you did these things fornication and doing these horrible things idolatry yeah and a lot of people still say I don't do that so that proves I'm a Christian Paul didn't stop there look what he says in verse 8 but now now that you're saved now you also put off all these Paul says now that you're saved I want you as a Christian to put off these things watch what he says put off these things anger are you angry if you are you're not manifesting a change lifestyle you're supposed to have peace as a Christian not anger put up all these anger wrath Christians shouldn't be wrathful and angry toward other other Christians malice what is malice spite and malice malice is just other spikes I just want to do mean to you how that's not something that manifests they change lifestyle of a Christian it says here blasphemy blasphemy filthy communication filthy communication I'll just I'll change that to filthy words I'm not changing the scriptures I'm just putting words because it's shorter to write it should take filthy communication out of your mouth lie not to another so you shouldn't lie seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds covers 10 says and have put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him oh so what we're supposed to have is this the verse of the Spirit that sure truly shows that we have fruit and that we have a change lifestyle and if we have any one of these we are not obeying the truth we are not obeying the scriptures and we are not being a true spirit-filled Christian as we're supposed to be we are being a carnal baby who is showing the whole world that we really are nothing but in the flesh and not in the Spirit of God Wow notice what he says there in verse 12 put on therefore as the elect of God holy and beloved bowels of mercies that bowels what are the ballot there the lower inward part of you he's basically saying you ought to have so much mercy toward other people that it ought to be like just stirring up inside of you just flowing out bowels of mercies so we're supposed to have mercy toward other people that are Christians wow that really shows that change lifestyle but what does it say their kindness oh boy we're supposed to be kind I'm in Colossians 3:12 humble this oh we're supposed to be humble that's showing a change lifestyle meekness I'm not going to write that there because it's already one two thirds of the Spirit and long-suffering it's also there this is what marks a man is really saved this is what shows whether or not you really had to change lifestyle not whether or not you don't smoke or don't cuss or don't fornicate anymore know what is your heart like because salvation changes your heart not just your lifestyle and if your heart is changed then your lifestyle will be changed but if your heart's not changed you've got problems you might be able to fool people by saying I don't do bad stuff outwardly but you'll never fool God with all that sin inward all that evil inside of you because you're full of anger and wrath and malice and other things galatia Colossians 3:13 forbearing one another and forgiving one another If any man have a quarrel against any even as Christ forgave you so also do you do you I've had people you know that have a quarrel against me and say oh I think you're wrong this without the other thing you know what I do my wife will tell you as soon as that thing happens I get down on my knees and say Lord I forgive that person I really do I love them in the Lord I want to see them get right and I forgive them and that's what I'm supposed to do as a Christian I guess that just shows my change lifestyle because inwardly I'm following the scripture and I want to make sure that I'm showing the true fruit of the Spirit what does it say here verse 13 of 14 Colossians 3:14 and above all these space put on charity which is the bond of perfectness above all things we're supposed to have charity you want to tell me that you're a Christian and the reason you're telling me that you're a Christian is because you have a change lifestyle then where is your charity I'm not going to believe a word you say if you brag about your flesh and how you change certain things in your lifestyle if I don't see any charity in you to me that's what shows you've been changed because before you were saved you didn't have any charity after you're saved now you do so don't you tell me how to save many other night I love God and I'm Christian because my change lifestyle proves I'm safe no lost people can change their lifestyles and stop doing certain sins I want to know what's in your heart and I want to know is there any of these things in your heart because if there's not don't you give me this garbage that your lifestyle changed no it didn't all you did was change the outside but you're still as dirty as you ever were on the inside I'm nice day Peter I want to do that sometime he preached something and he don't have a nice day well amen above all things put on charity which is the bond of perfectness verse 15 and let the peace of God rule in your hearts to the which also you're called in one body and be ye thankful for that that'll thrust a sword right into some people's hearts because there's a lot of Christians are unthankful and one thing that we should be as Christians we should be thankful verse 16 let the peace of God dwell in you richly it says there ended up teaching in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord why we as Christians we should have some grace where does grace come from from the heart when you're saved God gives you a new heart and changes your heart and you should have these things in your heart because that's the fruit that the Spirit gives you if you claim to be Christian and there's no grace of whatsoever you have no grace with others it really really really makes me wonder if you really are a Christian or not because there's no change in your heart you want to talk about your change lifestyle all day and have you change the flesh all I want to know is what is your heart change when'd you get your heart ride with Jesus have a nice day okay so look at this verse 17 whatever you do in word or do you do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father by him Colossians 4:6 let your speech be always with great season of salt that you may know how to to answer every me grace do you have grace do you have charity do you have peace do you love the Brethren Romans 12:10 says be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love in honour preferring one another the Bible tells us that when we're saved and we're Christians we should literally prefer other Christians above ourselves we should never come to the point in our hearts or in our lives or in our lifestyles where we think we are better than other Christians we should always esteem them the Bible says more highly than ourselves did you do that do you do that verse 11 not slothful in business fervent in prayer experience serving the Lord let me back up to verse 10 in honour preferring one another you ought to have some honor what does that mean you ought to be honorable I've met a lot of Christians that are very dishonorable they do these honorable things because they have no honor in their heart oh that's sad and that's sad and yet they claim they have a change lifestyle that they prove by their dishonorable actions that there's no change maybe outward but not inward not in word verse 12 rejoicing in Hope patient in tribulation continuing instant in prayer distributed to a necessity of saints give it a hospitality bless them which persecute you bless and curse not rejoice with them that do rejoice weep with intimate weep verse 16 we have the same mind one toward another mind not high things but can sin condescend to men of low estate and then it says right here in verse 16 the very end of this verse be not wise in your own conceits one of the marks of a fleshly carnal Christian one of the marks of them is that their self-conceited I believe it was Paul that talked about these self-conceited brothering and he said you know these people are self conceited and said watch out for them what does it mean to be self-conceited it means you think you're right everybody else is wrong so you're going to go out and land blast everybody and unless everybody believes like you do well then they're a bunch of morons and idiots because you're right and everybody else is wrong who really proves your change lifestyle doesn't have a really nice thing visions for chapter 4 verse 23 through 32 you know I'm almost done I really couldn't keep going I've got a whole other page of vs. you know I've got time I might little reader I just want to give you what God says I mean this is not Robert breakers speaking and telling you what I think this is Bible and what God says a true Christian should be and how do you show that you have fruit of the Spirit and you prove by your fruit that you really are a true Christian that's what this whole video is about seasons 4 23 through 32 and be renewing renewed in the spirit of your mind and that you put on the new man after which God is created in righteousness and true holiness what if we're putting away lying speak every man truth with his neighbor we are members one of another be angry and sin not let not Sun go down upon your wrath there's a word wrath let in the stole steal no more but rather let him labor working with his hands the thing which is good that he may have to give to him that needeth 29 let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth but that which is good to the use of edifying that it may Minister grace unto the hearers that's how you prove you have a real change lifestyle you're showing the grace of God because you've been saved by the grace of God you're not showing the flesh and the things of the flesh abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh listen to what a man talks about and that will really help you to know that me if all he does is talking about how this guy is wrong kind of like a man he's being around what you have is a person that's full of hate in their heart toward others but if you listen to a man a man says man I love people that we should love one another and God loves to us and I love the Bible what does the Bible say it with that shows the man that cares about God in the scriptures and he's trying to preach to you what the Bible says whatever a person talks about is the thing that they love learn that a long time ago so let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth but that which is good to the use of edifying that may Minister grace to the hearer unto the hearers verse 30 in grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby you're sealed unto the day of redemption Ephesians 4:31 and 32 are two verses of Scripture that I had put on the grave of my grandmother everyone that knew my grandmother they always said she was a bitter woman and she was just always telling how awful everything was and she always dwelled on the bad things and how horrible life was and very seldom did she ever talk about how there were good things in this life not until she got saved and you know when I when she got saved she was 89 years old 88 89 somewhere like that and she was so old she couldn't show in her flesh it changed my style I mean she did she couldn't no doubt of that I'm saying now I don't smoke I don't drink I don't for negate cuz she thanking 90 years old she didn't do that to begin with but you know what I saw in my grandmother after she got saved by trusting the gospel by faith from the heart I saw some of that bitterness go away I saw her having more joy I saw her having more peace I start being more long-suffering toward others I saw changed her heart and I saw a change lifestyle my grandmother I know she got saved because I saw what the Bible says are the fruits of the spirit it's so tired these Pharisees go around declared your save denied and they say oh that breaker guy is not safe or that other guy's not safe because he does to do what I do how do you even know you don't even know me they're going to go around and tell people that I'm a sinner and and that that I'm holding on to some sin and I enjoy sin and you don't even know me I hate sin I preach the message called grace not an occasion to sin I don't want to sin I want my heart to be right with God and when my heart is right with God blessed God then my life will be right there's many people all they want to do is go around and judge the fruit and they want to look at the outward and they want to declare someone saved or not whether by how they don't do certain sins anymore and they could care less whether or not the person changed on the inside there was a change in the heart my grandmother it called the fruit of the Spirit and I saw it I saw that change lifestyle have you got to change lifestyle for reals you might have changed something outward because you get changed inside no you're just as mean as you ever were my old pastor Peter ruckman he used to go to a Bible College years ago that was started by a man named Bob Jones and Bob Jones has all these different sayings that he used to preach and one of the things that Bob Jones used to always say was quit your meanness quit your meanness that's the famous quote when you get say if you get a change lifestyle in the sense that you quit your meanness if you're saved and you haven't quit your meanness I wonder if you have a change lifestyle you see God is interested in changing your heart it's not just whether or not you changed outwardly well I went ahead in that point Ephesians 4:31 and 32 on the tombstone of my grandmother so that anyone that went to see that tombstone and remembered how she really was that they that they would read this verse and they say wow wow that's how we should be and it was kind of a testimony this is how she was before but this is how she became later and so don't remember her as she was remember this what does it say Ephesians 4:31 and 32 let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice be ye kind one to another tender-hearted notice the lifestyles about how tender your heart is not how much you changed your flesh forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven God forgives you of all your sins wonder why Christians can't forgive others of all their sins Titus chapter 2 verse 7 and 8 tells us how a true Christians lifestyle should be plenty 2:7 says that in all things showing thyself a pattern of good works in doctrine showing uncorrupt ness gravity sincerity sound speech that cannot be condemned that it's that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed having no evil thing to save you if you're a Christian it's in the flesh and all you want to do is be angry and have malice and wrath and use bad words and lie about others and be self conceited in your own wise and your own conceited and just attack other Christians you ought to be ashamed y'all be ashamed I don't have any evil thing to save you I'm not going to say anything about you I've never mentioned you by name because I love you in the Lord and I want to see your heart get right and I try as a Christian to show you what a true lifestyle of a Christian really is and I hope by example you'll come over to what the scriptures say and try to practice what the Bible says Titus chapter 3 this is how a true Christian is supposed to act this is what shows that a true lifestyle change Titus 2 3 through 8 says to speak evil of no man to be no brawlers but gentle showing all meekness unto all men verse 3 for we ourselves also were sometimes foolish disobedient deceived serving divers lusts and pleasures living in malice and envy hateful and hating one another now watch what he says in verse 4 but after that the kindness and love of our Savior appeared to all oh man so what is he saying literally in verse 3 that before we were saved this is how we were we were foolish we were disobedient we were deceived we serve diverse lessons pleasures we lived in malice and envy and hate he said we hated one another before we got saved that's the lost man and he says but now we're saved what is Paul saying he's saying if you want to really look at a Christian and see if they have a change lifestyle look at their heart and see do they have any more envy or anger or wrath or malice toward others because if they do that haven't changed there's no change lifestyle you see the holy spirit is what brings that change to tender heart you want to talk about a broken heart come to God broken when you get saved it breaks your heart to me being to others when you get truly born again the Holy Spirit's inside of you it's very hard to hate and to have app wrapping and mayor and be mean to other people because it breaks your heart to know that that's how you live before you were saved now that I'm saying I should have a change lifestyle change heart I should treat people differently after I'm saved than I did before there I say it again have a nice day not that it works of righteousness which we have done worse by but according to our mercy he saved us by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost if you could read on the rest of that there versus threat verse 8 we always talking about salvation verse 7 justified by grace verse 8 of Titus 3:8 this is a painful thing and these days I will that thou affirm constantly that they which I believed in God might be careful to maintain good works these things are good and profitable unto all me you see what shows whether you have a change lifestyle is not or not as a Christian is whether or not you want to do what's profitable to other men you're trying to help other men for their profit to help them grow and grace it's not about putting them down and attacking and tearing them down and destroying them it's about edification and edifying them and building them up in Christ and in the Word of God so Christians are supposed to love one another do good to others to be caring compassionate charitable hospitable and this is what shows a change lifestyle this is what shows the fruit that they are indeed a Christian fruit comes out of you your fruit is not just what you do outwardly in the flesh the fruit is what comes from within and why it's done what is your motive for what you do if your motive for serving Jesus is because you hate others and you're envious of them and you hate them and you just want to put them down you're showing a dirty heart and you're showing my heart proves that I don't have a change lifestyle I'm just as dirty and mean and hateful a person as I was before I was saved I'm not really showing a change lifestyle but yet I want to go around to everyone and brag how to look at my life changed did it really yeah you might have quit some sense and that's good but you haven't quit being yourself you're the same old dirty rotten lousy person you used to be before have a nice day hebrews chapter 13 verse 21 says make you perfect in every good work to do his will working in you that which is well pleasing to his sight through Jesus Christ to whom be glory for ever and ever amen God says he wants you to do good works but he also says that he's working in you so that you might do that which is well pleasing you see it's all about what's in here to God salvation is supposed to work a change in your heart if there's never been that change in the heart then I have to question if there's ever been something you want to preach you want to talk about you want to brag about look at my change lifestyle look at me I used to go to you know devil things and I used to do evil wicked stuff and I used to listen to this horrible music and and I don't do that now that's all outward what about what's inside of you has what is evil inside of you gone what if it's still there wonder if you're even saved I hope you are I hope you saved your just a carnal carnal Christian if that's the case we'll then get down on your knees and get it right obey the scriptures that tell us to act like this instead of acting like yes I'm almost finished I'm going to close with Philippians chapter 2 verse 12 to 32 16 the libyans to 12 wherefore my beloved as you have always obeyed not as in my presence only but now much more in my absence work out your own salvation with fear and trembling I've had people email me that believed that salvation is by works and they say well it says work out your own salvation and that means your works what you do is what saves you that's not what he's saying he's not saying work out your own salvation in the sense do good works and that's what saves you that is not what the Apostle Paul is saying you know how we know that because the very next verse the very next verse in Philippians 2:13 says for it is God which worketh in you salvation is a work in your heart when you come to Christ when you trust the blood of Christ you trust the gospel your sins are washed away the Holy Spirit comes inside and begins to work in you of changing your dirty old heart from being like this to learning to be like this and this is how you should be acting from now on this is the fruit that proves a change lifestyle so Paul is saying work out what God has worked in you what does that mean that means God worked in my heart a love and a joy and a peace and a long-suffering and a gentleness and meekness and temperance and a faith and a charity and a kindness and a mercy and the patience for others so I'm going to learn how to toward others be kind and patient and loving and long-suffering and charitable and yada-yada-yada I'm going to work out what God has worked in my heart if all you know is hatred bitterness and anger and malice and bad things and you're working that out then that proves that's what you'll have working in you and you need to repent you need to get your heart right with God you need to get down on your knees and say oh Jesus I'm sorry my fruit stinks God my heart is wrong but I'm sorry Lord I want to be a true Christian I want the whole lifestyle change I don't just want to change the flesh to do right I want my heart to change so that I live right and I love right told you I'd read all the way down to verse 16 so I will Philippians 2:14 says do all things without murmurings and disputing that you may be blameless and harmless the sons of God without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation among whom he shine as lights in the world 4:16 holding forth the word of life that I may rejoice the day of Christ that I have not run in vain neither have I labored in vain what is he saying there he's saying can you imagine if you're a minister that's your entire ministry everything you did you did in the flesh and you get to heaven and you stand before the judgment seat of Christ some people call it the Bema seat and you say Jesus look at how great a Christian I was did you see my lifestyle change did you see what I did and how much I served you and Jesus looks at you and goes so disappointed in you everything you did for me you did in flesh why didn't you walk in the spirit so that you fulfill not the lusts of the flesh why didn't you hold forth the word of life why didn't you teach people from the Scriptures how a true Christian is supposed to act and live and why didn't you tell them about the change lifestyle of the heart that this is what shows that fruit of a true Christian you have labored in vain you've run in vain all I wanted was to you could be good to other Christians and you blew it well I would sure hate to be in your shoes at the judgment seat of Christ one question and I'm done do you truly have a change lifestyle really argue all you have is I don't do the things in the flesh that I used to do but I'm still the dirty hearted old person that I used to be and I still and full of anger and hate and malice just like I used to be which is it do you have a true change lifestyle of both your heart and your actions are you a Pharisee achill Christian that has cleaned up the outside right here without but nothing has changed within it's on you it's all on you you know you know so I'll pray and I'll leave it in your hands and I'll ask God to help you get right god bless you and I thank you for watching we'll see you next
