oh look at this Casey MXM 175 it's not wanting to start I just I really didn't plan on doing that today that was kind of one of those unforeseen things came along I'm gonna run down here see if we can figure out what's going on with that okay well you guys want to see a pile of fumigation plastic that gets build-up now that we're having our trade war with China and there's no harder to go for this this is where this classic was going it was going to China I don't know long just I'll just show you how much plastic we're sitting here we'll drive over here real quick so I was taking this stuff and recycling it using it I think about half the you buy a Walmart a lot of it was coming from fumigation plastic I mean there's probably ten acres right here elastic drip tape move all the way over there nowhere for it to go nobody will take it I don't know I don't know what these guys are gonna do about this stuff have a mess that's the thing I would you know I think you almost got to do something I I would think I would tell the nursery that you know you bought all right I'd me myself I think I would say that you bought the fumigation plastic when you had the fumigator come out and fumigate your field so you will go pull the plastic will Bale it you figure out what did hell to do with it it's not our product that's what I'd be doing why why should you have to figure out what you're gonna do with this crowd basically that's kind of the way I look at it when they you know they bought the plastic because you know that the Jima Gator charges them for the plastic they bought it already it serves no I don't know that's just my thought on the whole thing said of these guys here they don't I mean this guy here is not the nursery this guy here bought this piece just for just me this is all they do they pull plastic off fumigation filter the outfits called pastas recovery systems that's all they do is go out and they've got a big three of these big plastic Baylor's they hand-built you know custom fabricated and and they go out bail this plastic off these fields but I don't quite understand why they're holding on to it like this why they don't tell the the nurseries that you know are not here to consume your plastic and kit and get it off your hands you're here to bail it and get it off your field we'll put it in a holding area and you're on your ground and you figure out what to do with it that's kind of that's kind of what I would do anyway but maybe it doesn't work that maybe maybe okay here don't be running off [Music] don't be running off turkey what we've got going on here lay them sunglasses there so what are they crack and they said I the Kraken has to get the beat up let's see this move just half the time these little bleeders yeah it's good some think they're starting to show its age okay let's see what if we get a bunch of air out of that I think we got this door here all screwed up we won't open gasps owners going off the door boy these guys don't take care of don't take care of nothing that door stay open maybe well we can look at something hello no why would that happen like fuel pumps around I don't see really any air coming out there something's loose there cuz it's leaking letting right something's going on there nice leaking yeah they can stir it for like animals well you have to get an elevator something like a PC use I didn't inhale that things on there right there bill ring pinch don't see here another o-ring on it he's trying to key off her isn't it your weddings a lot of work hey guys the seed how good looking good leaking huh yeah just playing us up a little bit there Dukas certificate Alan had both of those gonna leave a moose little bit to figure that exactly going off had to take this back off I looked at the I looked at the line come into the filter bed going back I didn't see anything there and that line goes right back to the tank right here take them quick connect things and what said holding that inside that line it goes over the nipple on the butcher head wouldn't think so have you ever seen one go bad I don't know this Jefferson gave a lot of hours on it hours a lot of years the part abused use yeah I pulled this thing off your was in chicken haven't evening wrong with it I thought maybe that plastic line might have been rubbing somewhere and rubbed a hole in the in the suction line he's hauling justice off they said when he left offer just a couple I mean just a minute you shut it off to talk to somebody and it started it wouldn't wanna start again being anything on it I can't stand guys you can't just can't do something as simple of pop a gas cylinder on the damn door Oh case you start right up now let's put the Ellen heads in it we'll try it again hey guys so yet again here for some reason my GoPro camera for it it'll just lose the sound the sound tracks the audio tracks to the clip but anyway what ended up doing is I went back out there I went and worked on a little Ford tractor and I went back like two hours later to try to see if that tractor would start again and it would not start it would dis crank and crank and crank and I had to and and I really didn't even have to bleed it I just crank and crank and it started but I probably cranked on into good 30 seconds 30 seconds straight for it finally started so I knew that I had a problem with the injection pump was in prime or the cylinder head may be leaking off and going back to return so what I went out there did what I what I've got in my hand right now is what they call an overflow return valve and one end of that screws inside the injection pump and what that does is that keeps the fuel inside your injection pump so I pulled the tease one line goes back to the tank coming off of it and then once it's coming from the injectors for them in return going to the T also which tees into the return line going back to the pump or two tank so right now I'm blowing through it with my mouth they're supposed to take 14 to 16 psi for that to come out of the pump back to return so what it's supposed to do is supposed to keep your pump primed the way I figured it out I thought man I'm loosening my prime somewhere so what I did is I took the line off where T's coming off the injectors it's a straight up it's straight up and the other ones parallel going back towards the tank the one that's vertical going from the injectors I pulled it off and it's a pretty good little stand pipe it's probably two inches three inches long and it had pressure on it with the key off you know engine not running and it was pushing the fuel out of there and I said man that just you're right that's not good that just can't be right so I took a pair of vise grips and I took that plastic line it was coming off the injector return line going down to the tee I I took a pair of vise grips and I pinched that line and to isolate the injector side of it so well I actually pulled the line off going back to return on the tank is what I did and then I pinched the line going into the tee I hooked it back up coming from the injectors and it didn't slow down the fuel flow at all so I thought man it's it's it's coming out of the injection pump and going back to tank it's bleeding my pump off is what it's doing and and sure as hell I I took it out of the injection pump and I remember I had one on that 24 valve Cummings and a Dodge pickup one time with a VP 44 pump this actually is a box VP 30 pump and I remember looking at this 14 16 psi this was supposed to overcome that to go back to return so yeah I knew when I blew through it with my mouth it was junk so anyways we've got that figured out and that's that hey guys this is that e4od transmission on that 1964 I just dropped the pan on it to see what things look like I've never seen this before I'm sure you guys have dudes automatics quite a bit yeah this is the filter out of it this is melted the oil got so hot this is the nipple where it goes up into the pump it's melted off of there and it got so hot I don't know if that that's look how it's all concave and melted in there [Music] first I've never seen that [Music] I've never seen that happen before it's crazy very 4od got the extension how no off there's your park gear and all that mechanism and stuff back there go ahead and get the pan stinking nasty thing that pressure wash it but it didn't do a very good job I knew that was coming this one's burned up pretty bad I got all the here [Music] pick up my hammer CT for DS plus these board transmissions have got some threaded holes in the actual pump body and you take a slide hammer and slide him out of there but there's another way I'm getting it out of there and this thing got hot this thing really got hot it melted that seal I can't kind of can't wait to see what once they get this metal body off I think I'll pull this valve body off the air and pull the manual lever position sensor off there my bench here cabinets are spaced high enough from the leaf feeling the cabin he's actually come off pretty late not like this little sixties where you're gonna pry them off so on these be 400 or 100 I'm actually gonna have your bowel body and you're accumulating the body here's your accumulator body these are actual shift valves here this is your accumulator body shift house solenoid pack right here [Applause] okay and it's not magic transmission then there's oil everywhere crazy really really bad look at the metal right here condition Rosalie [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] stinking birth transmission one this go to the hole on the bench little drain into the bucket in here nasty [Music] pretty tough shape and this is an e4 would be nice book let's see if we can find it I'll so yeah it'll it'll show you in here your check ball configuration somewhere these equal these were made quite a few years for span of years and they change their check balls around and quite a bit of stuff on them so I know there's a chassis right here well these are air prep air pressure check locations but there's a spot in here that'll say yeah what for what exactly forty you're working on what your check ball configuration will be I know it's in there somewhere no you just did a hundred times anyway you want the disassembly pull your feed bowls out let's these three bolts here these are notorious for coming to lose and burn em all seeing that when there was a pike makes you wonder if it was leaking through there and the kid will use a gun with new feed bullets notice it too they had the same sized head on the actual diameter the thread of the bolt is different okay means I didn't bring my slide camera with me sometimes a guy can get lucky and just take a rubber mallet and whack it on the stator the pump here just kind of have to work it back and forth pull the shaft out - you forgot your intermediate shift that's one way that you can pull your pump out without using a slight hammer first washer and man this one got hot and I bet you that pump has smoked we're gonna take that pump apart this thing got hot man really hot almost like a reman transmission by the tempered in because I think we have to change everything in it okay let's see here you got a big snap ring here okay so you take out the ghost clutch assembly just bearing in here all right and you're gonna have snapping here your overdrive here just looking in the book there to make sure I was getting my terminology right this is a flat snap ring so it's not tapered or anything pull out your photograph pressure plate let's look at these overdrive bird never pretended you didn't completely destroy him but not any good and this would I always see with these transmissions the snap rings come off of here see that's not supposed to be like that there's a new spiral snap ring and that baited snap ring to put in here that's a lot better well we'll put that updated snap ring in there there what's your overdrive ring gear and you get your Spragg in here maybe a Sun gear that's in there as hot as this one gets we're gonna really gonna have to take a lot of stuff to make sure it ain't really smoke below the spring there's a piston there that's that spring they're supposed to retain that below the spring and of course it's not really doing much that's where - like me - yes necessarily gonna need us to pull it apart but you got to have it put it back together usually you wouldn't do this I'm gonna go ahead and do that on this one cuz the snap ring missing is anymore so it makes it just a little easier to get to to find that tool that I made years ago compresses this is what it does after they built the onesie for a while you can get it out of there get it apart without the tool they try not to keep the snap ring and Terry good thankful your size support out make it begun on and send a begun there sometimes I'll do that right there to bind up Anya okay that's the spring you're trying to collapse right there and we'll stack all this to the police there's a center support actually gone wrong that's not the center support this is the center support right here washer there although there's a bearing in here that there's a couple bearings in this fail and they can be tight really look at these there's a bearing in here a roller bearing replace that bearing or it'll bite you okay and we please Spragg just brag pressure plate you know there would be nice the band mr. Sprague back on here no everything's just kind of lined up you'll see a big plastic vest washer here one piece of the Spragg is still on and these flags every place and I just replace them wanna clutch back in there the rest of it should be she'd have a little reverse back here this is gonna be another clutch back and I can see this one smoked and then the gear train really hard towards this thrust washer up I hit that just well I can see it my planetary see how the turkey was going off of it we're gonna change that so it's washer is junk planetary 0p Havel I just got so damn hot yeah in our son Jill there's the scratch inside here from you've ever told one of the world 6850 transmissions before they get a sunshield kinda like this and they're a Porteous for and notorious for breaking this with his son there's a little bit different setup but there's some some year goes to the center of the a little break or the sunshield soap will break or the splines will strip out on it okay I can pull down it in there coming off there like there's a snap ring in there and on the L please yeah that has to come out forgot about that one how's it snapping on the output shaft way back in there that's got to come out okay here we go yet with another track of audio that's missing I think it's about time to shitcan this GoPro and get a different one but anyway so here's the pump we're gonna take this thing apart and to be honest with you I probably I'm just guessing I probably do I don't I'm not like an automatic transmission shop alright rebuild you know a hundred he's a year or more I probably go through probably ten of these a year for people I kind of like doing them I like doing until one of them comes back on me I've had a I've had a couple come back I mean these these automatic transmissions are very complicated there's a lot of things then you got to look out for and a lot of things you can go wrong they're not near as heavy built as a power shift transmission in a in like a tractor I don't ever see too many things come back on me on power just because they're so you'd be officer there's so more well built and these things these everything on these things it's like dude either they're really like duty and you really got to watch all these parts because if they get hot one time they're done so well if you get one like this it's been really hot change all them sprags change all that kind of stuff change your pump look at this pump though uh this missus I've never seen in all the years I've been doing this one of these pumps like this it it basically sees the pump and the torque converter can kept trying to turn it but it broke the internal it's an internal gear pump that's what Ford likes you use heavy let's use a vane pump like the 4l60e s do and but this one here is an internal gear pump just like a charge pump on a tractor you know it's just a low pressure high volume pump but as you'll see here it really really screwed this I've never seen one this bad I mean you see right there were it broken there's I mean you could stick your small finger almost in that gap were broke that one it cracked it on the other side and just burnt the living out of everything I mean that bethel thing is a it's all scrap iron because we're the steel gears you know the faith sides of the gears they're all scratched up screwed up so they screwed up the sealing surfaces were they going the aluminum case half's so the entire thing is just scrap iron it's gonna have to get about a $400 new pump so this one is definitely not going to be cheap for this guy he's not gonna like this one I told him he said you know sometimes you're better off to buy a remand a remanufactured transmission which I don't know about those either I've I've had a couple of those remanufacturers that I've had to pull back out and send them back off and I had to eat the labor the people that remanufactured the transmission wouldn't cover my labor so you know I'm a little bit leery on that too but anyways I've never seen a pump seized up like that break the gear like that's pretty crazy in it
