well guys hey it's Sunday we're me and my best girl dude he decided takes a day off today he at Sunday I told my wife I said and I really want to go I've got this oh for F 356 later sitting on the lift that had the damage testing on it that I made a video a long time ago well it's so sudden they're guys I haven't had time to work on it still cabs off of it sitting on the lift down here in McDole so I had a guy who wanted to buy it really bad so for his daughter and I'm gonna go get this thing trying to try to finalize this thing and get it going to be completely honest with you I I just kind of been working on it here and there I actually got the piston installed in it and I already pulled the engine but we're gonna pull the engine again because when I set the engine back in that the chassis and the frame there when I when I set it in there and it just I could hear something as soon as I set it down on the motor mounts I heard something go clunk down in the OL pan so that's kind of why I never did go any further I got to find out what went in the old pan so I don't know if I didn't get a bolt tightened up or had it finger tight it and forgot to tighten it what you know it's on that oil pan gasket or you know those six centers have an inner they got an inner what do they call that an inner and outer oil pan or something like that or it's like a plate on the bottom anyway I'm wondering if I didn't get one of those tight and it just fell out but my biggest fear is is that was a piston cooling nozzle from the number one cylinder that I put the piston in I just hope to god it's not but we're gonna I just got to know I can't sell this pickup no one in the back of my mind and something went clunk down in that bottom of the oil pan so what I'm gonna do I'm gonna do it a little different this time I'm gonna take the forklift in there and hook straps to each into the the transfer case and the engine and just pick the whole thing up is what I'm thinking about doing just pick the whole the whole shooting match unhook the rear drive line in the front log line take the cost member of bolsas from the transmission and just take the forklift just lift the whole thing up with it in you know not even I probably won't even back out I would just climb up in the frame and just take the bolts loose in the pan and just make sure that I don't have a you know a major problem I just I just hate for I hate to do all this work put the cap back on and all that stuff and fired up drive it down the road and have a piston cooling nozzle that I broke off putting the piston and rod in it and seized a seasoned piston so I it won't take me long to do that but after we get done doing that hopefully there's no no damage will but the head back on and and all that good stuff but anyway so me and Daisy we're gonna get it she's not a big ball of fire today she's a good girl she gets to miss it or he doesn't like it when Duke doesn't go she really does she acts really funny when he's not around she'll be really timid and she'll stick by my side the entire time she won't go anywhere Duke's like her protector she it's pretty funny I mean she'll I get certain ranches if we go to and it's just me and her without Duke she won't get out of the pickup it's it's funny well we're going to sack this here Subaru what is that here on the wrong side road mr. Sieber you're on the wrong side of the road everybody you think that super would go up the hill faster than the service truck would anyway I'll be back with you shortly when we're pulling that engine out and dropping that old pan let's see what fell down these we just Daisy I call her D but me and Daisy just say it is the bike eat so I'm not even gonna say what I'm gonna do but let you figure that out for yourself on this part of it know what this says Mopar on it I got this but I'm sure you guys that have done these before know what that is that is gonna get done to this vehicle but anyway what we're gonna do here is oh this is a little bit of a sore subject with me but I don't know lately here's kind of been the way thing is gone the reason this is cut I had a customer come in while I was I was here on a Sunday and I was working on that he squeezed with the MTC 300 Cummins in it I was in a frame in it and they came in and and the dire emergency in the world was gonna end the sky was falling and over a irrigation pickup that their head irrigator had and long story short they thought that the engine was de-rated because it had a six core power stroke and a torque shift five hour 1:10 transmission just like this and they thought it was d rated while I put my auto scanner on and it was not degraded it was in limp mode because it had a bunch of turbine shaft speed sensor codes and output shaft speed sensor codes and I got under there and he had gotten and he had gotten into something and ripped the harness off here and what it happens it had got wrapped around the drive line and it cooled the wires anyway out of the plug ins on the output shaft speed sensor in the turbine shaft speed sensor well this one here I actually got the wires back into the plug on it it actually just pulled the clips right out it was amazing just like somebody collapsed the little keepers on the pins and just pull it straight out I just had to get in a service manual look up the wiring information for so I did that got that one fixed but this one here it wasn't so fortunate on didn't on on their vehicle I couldn't save the plug on it so I cut my plug-in off my vehicle and spliced it into theirs and I don't know what's that been a good month and a half ago month month and a half ago two months ago I just look it up see when that video was made that's about when it happened anyways I never got paid for yeah the deal was that hey I'm gonna I'm gonna cannibalize my harness to get you going so you guys can get your pivots moved and that's your head irrigator and all this and and I never even got paid for it and I've never got paid for it and the deal was I told the manager tell tell your guy to get me a plug to fix mine and he never did that either so I had to call for the other day and I got a plug for this one $60.00 for this little kit and there's directions right here but that's kind of disappointing it's not really well I guess not not really disappointed I was kind of hoping that they would give me a wire color identification chart as to what wire color went to what pin on the connector but all it tells you is to look up for your specific application because they changed and I think my old six in that service truck I think it's probably going to be different I have an old five surface manual in there I don't have an old four so I might end up turning the key on I might end up doing it when I get everything hooked up and getting battery power to it and then just you know taking ammeter and checking and figuring it out that way but anyway that's a long stupid story about that so anyway we're gonna unhook the driveline we're gonna hook the harness from the transmission and the in the electric shift transfer case and rear drive line and then we're going to take the mount off right here on the cross member motor mounts already loose I'm gonna make sure I don't have any other things plug plugged in here and we're gonna lift the whole thing up pull the pan back off and make sure that I do screw something up and I heard something I heard something fall into the pan so I got to make sure I cannot sell it to somebody and good conscience knowing that that's there's something down in there that I don't know what it is or hell it may not even make it ten miles down the road if it's a piston cooling nozzle and when I put the new piston in you know did I accidentally bump it or something and you know that's I and knock a piston cooling nozzle off so we just got to make sure [Music] it's tight I always put a little Buddha Loctite on and I'll go back together with him I should have done this to begin with this is you know what I opted for just pulling the pulling the engine and leaving the transmission in it my man I regretted it when I put it back in is because you know what a summons again with the transmission stationary trying to get the converter bolts to go back through the flexplate you know it was just a pain and next time the other not be doing that ever again I've done that before and I didn't learn my lesson very well was them hooked that far away and wait on the crossmember only as Ricky tort guy that's a long time viewer said it's back to the vacation now it's time to turn and burn and get after wait my wife sometimes she hates going on vacation with them because about the second day into them I'm like really restless and ready to go back and get something down we had two dead one with the non-gear ranch the regular ranch I don't like to put that much force on the rear rinses like that broke lots of those beer inches hey my date you know let's talk we were talking about the YouTube thing and it's so far I'm really really really pleased with the way my channels been going a million at mine you know all my viewers a lot of good people on this thing of course you're always gonna have your fair share of [ __ ] there's no way around it and that's just no it doesn't matter doesn't matter whether it's on YouTube or just daily life you're gonna you can run into ten good people on two really bad [ __ ] just the way it is look for the most part I'm the man that guys have been it'll be good I really enjoy doing it to help when I went into the whole thing I knew that you know every once in a while I probably let my temper get the best of me and I'll make a little rant about something that one says but I'm not very often I'm a lot better than I used to be I've had some friends tell me that the really close friends that have paid attention to my YouTube channel they were surprised that I took it as well as I have because years ago I wasn't really like that what the hell he's younger I was one of those guys and I was younger I started swinging first and I started talking later but I got in a lot of trouble for that kind of stuff learn to control myself a little better it's a lot cheaper just can't make everybody happy you know that's what you do a hammer beat on those Flanders Zarda lose-lose you know we can take wiring harness apart okay so what are we doing here you got a lock on it yes it does it's on the bottom I can't see it of course huh why would it because you know they're gonna leak everywhere this is the Ford that one at the transmission I always forget something she didn't get along around oh you're gonna come I guess families not Mary's anyway both grips [Music] we're in the clear lift on it a little bit [Music] [Music] so you know there's always something that hangs you up that maybe fails so what do we what we forget [Music] and I got all the doors open and one of the lights on this thing it's still dark in here I think this guy he should is the guy that designed this building he should have designed the Batcave he would have made more money okay she's coming I got here I took the fuel lines lose moisture and stuff should be loose that's going to be attached to the pump so that's got to go with it too [Music] Oh [Music] I mean all these big lights up here these high these uh where they call those high bays all I'll say 1 2 3 4 there's like six of them in here I think I still got two more need to put up but I got those give to me by another guy vanillin doors they had they had switched over to LED and they gave me all their old lights and there's like 40 of the maxi and I just never had came out went up and got him but I put those in you know took the time I I just don't want to dump a bunch of money into this place and then then they told me to get out and I'm stuck well either I have to dismantle everything you know I mean I'm looking I just got to get a different shop either that or build another one or something you know but that takes money not having I'm trying to get it let's see what fell down in that that way I can put my mind at ease my finger up in there to get that huh pretty much right handed my daughter on the other man to them - Dexter's significant dude this as well with there this is the hole that I changed the piston on that must have been parts of that piston or something does the only thing that I can really think guys lessons on the old system they come out of it I don't see anything that I really don't see anything I could really cause that what is cast let's get a hole in it whatever it is hell is there hmm really curious now hell that is just got a hole in it so dark whatever that is I think that's probably what fell in on top of the Pistons begin with whatever that is [Music] [Music] that's until a nozzle was in good shape I don't see anything wrong there understand right now I'm just gonna do my due diligence to go ahead and pull that pull that back off and really look that over good and see if I see anything be the service manual don't play anything we'll put it back on here I think it's from the previous tiller [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] must have been from the previous failure I don't see anywhere as I was sitting here let me go out in the light I know what these are from I'm sitting there looking at these things and they got holes on see they got holes in them right there you see get out here we can see I'm somewhere looking at that thing is gone what what the hell did that come out of a net engine and then my pre brain finally realized that when I honed it a couple of my ball hones broke off and fell down in there somewhere and when I put the engine back in where they were laying they rattled off and that's where they are I took a boulder nozzle blew around here in the bottom must have been laying on top of the crank web or something but everything else looks good in here that's that's what it was it was a stupid ball hole upper pan back on right now [Music] [Music] I don't wanna get too carried away impact wrench take your sight at first okay ten-foot clowns all four days you don't have dude she's just bored out of her mind hi dad you girl Daisy Daisy Daisy what are you doing this is a bored what are you doing Demi [Music] okay so that was what they call the upper pan the pickup tubes attached to that I gotta clean the other pan out i pressure washed it off I need to clean the interior of the pan out okay we recording [Music] the two middle ones on the both ends are longer holes right tension towers I'll back it off cause it's just a habit of mine that's a good habit I put a dab of silicone on that pan around the rubber seal but I didn't put a new seal there I should have didn't think about it till I was already there that hell we'll just put a little they had the silicone on there it'll be fine technically you should never have to do this on these engines like all the ones I've been around hardly ever have to come apart like this you can see what you watching left me sick so hard to kill one of them the base engine you know crankshaft piston rod well that's a pretty damn bulletproof unless you do something like this and you work on and drop something in here [Music] okay put the engine back in it now that it's sitting a little crooked on there which I don't like and I know it's no I need to put a plug or something in that fill - but that transmission so that ever hang in the hole [Music] [Music] okay guys so here I lost audio again but anyway I eventually got the thing answered about a half an hour screwing around the pastor side of the engine somehow it slipped on the fork or some minute and it kind of rocked over towards the passenger side and it wasn't level anymore so the pastor side motor mount was going into the into the holes way before the driver's side was and it just if you've ever been in those my position I'm sure you have it's a pain in the ass so eventually I just set it down on the crossmember I got some slack slack on the straps and got it squirted back up again as you can see here I had to I finally got it in the holes and then I throw as I set it on the top of the transmission cooler lines so I had to lift it up again and go get the transmission cooler lines out from underneath the between the crossmember and that pan and then I sat it back down and as I didn't show here later on I didn't even realize it till I quit filming that I had actually the drive line for the front differential between the transfer case the front differential was sitting on that crossmember and I set the transfer case on top and I had to lift it up again but eventually I got it all back in there and all is good no problems make a turtle pistol all going away [Music] turtle pedestal bowls don't have to be that tight come up the beat of always something in it early days it would either don't tighten anything up or they just over tighten everything that you touch that they you just [Music] [Music] No the ascent succeeds to clean it off and we'll put our new tip on [Music] okay good I tell you there's I'm not trying to pull my boat or brag or say I'm the greatest thing but it's obvious to tell why there's a street of this whoever
