okay let's you going to come off decent are you gonna you're gonna you were going to be a prick okay so let's do it this way can we just back to parent needle hold of the clevis been on there a long time we got about two threads sticking past it well I'll try a little bit of wd-40 on it probably ain't gonna be much can't hurt it any I don't like doing acts it kind of spreads it out I like doing the older trucks that have been around a long time sometimes these things like this can take a layover and they should just haven't been cooking apart you've been out in the dirt okay all right tape measure measure that rod what do they do is only I think free can't reach oh yeah that's all the way out right at 4 inches ok easy enough that's gonna be pretty close to what I do is everyone my nut in like this get it close and that's kind of marks my place where I'm gonna cut we're already close ok and I need to get the pins out of this while I'm here see spring sides got this little fitting my server sides good he's got the larger fitting okay welcome I missed it recorder Oscar what are you doing what do you got huh Oscar what do you got buddy 11:16 he's on that one [Music] remember that it's all one of them was on the spring break side all right let's put this right here and cut it let's see and fire up the truck build their diagram her out and I'm sure that I got a swamp I'll be the buffing wheel on it I'm gonna put the cutting wheel on my other tool for that I'll have about the whole damn fool walked out [Applause] damnit that's what happens always happens to my phones right there give my damn glasses here we go Oscar we're gonna cut this sucker Oscar [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh come on about where it was let's go yeah we know is push that one get it in there [Music] hitting's pick and dig those out of there a small one is on the spring break side see if we can get us a little tape we're beating this drawer here [Music] my buddy call me the same thing i do over there on the other side there and he goes in an amazing house Sun comes out and these guys all get excited and cuz they've been now I'm not saying that everybody does this but they're around here there are there a percentage a lot of guys around here have cows too so they're busy year-round but there's some guys that just farm and that's all they do and they're some of them are hay farmers and once a third tightens up they might do a little bit of stuff to their equipment or whatever but for the most part they just load a few hay trucks and stuff in the wintertime and they don't do a whole lot out boy when springtime comes around they all get excited I'm like Pete says he goes I'm excited about anything he says I've been working my ass off all winter - that's it yeah I know what you mean by that used to be that way in the strawberry when I was working for the nurseries the mechanics we worked all winter you know non-stop we always had a lot to do and all the other employees I mean they they got laid off and whatever seasonal basically they took usually like Oh part of puppy December and January and then some guys would go down to lower elevation and big strawberries down there but most guys would have well they should even gonna be clocked halfway closed - that's amazing in the winter you know they poor bastards they come in during the spring and they were just gung-ho get after it let's do this let's do that we weren't too gung-ho about anything I holy Sh it's just another day what the hell you so excited about was they got a reach are we gonna have to we're gonna have to clock it a little bit different a little bit off okay turn it a little bit that spring rate can assure to pull off isn't that oldest it you'll know when they're really old when they've got the the clamp on both ends on the spring break side to a lot of the old air brake can set it you can take the emergency side off too but for safety reasons too many guys killed themselves and did stupid back in oh come on baby reach there get close ah that should suffice alright then we'll fire it up and see if we can get it to release back here and all that good stuff have to get real easily just tap on that a little bit get it seated right get seated all the way round and it carried the 3/4 an inch over there and then drank back over here with him in the middle hole which doesn't quite seem right to me because it just doesn't you didn't gonna go in the middle hole they're all in the middle hold warranty this back adjuster here's only got two holes and it's in the upper hole what the hell huh only wait and I'm gonna get that in the middle hole using this back move it clear to the top I just doesn't get more braking levers now I'm here on the bottom I don't know I'll put it where it was trouble where's Oscar at I just don't think that's right putting that no just awful tight you know boy it's really tight would be a lot better down here on the bottom gonna change or throw and everything but I mean why would you put it up there and force it into place and have a bind on that air can all the time what do we do here we'd like to put things back to where they were but you don't know if they were right the way they were especially when they got mismatched slack adjusters and on it I've got a gauge somewhere for checking the throw and all that on on it I mean this thing's not licensed or anything I don't know if it's really that big of a concern as long as the thing stops and the bricks release you know and you can get it to go in there but it's really tight I hate doing like this I really do wowthat's Wirtz it's it's up as far as it'll go because I don't like that Carter pin and we'll fire that she'll have to contend with the leaking foot valve and figure out what we're gonna do with that all right let's go fire this thing up [Music] [Music] all right the old freshers come out that's where it is released we should be able to get a little better idea of what's going on now this thing right you can hit that brake pedal again and see if we got a quick release valve problem now it's really hard to tell when you've got four there's one for all when what's going on you go to get them outlet relief well Oscar let's hit the brake pedal and see what happens here are they staying released no you're saying apply I had a problem [Music] and absol applied that axles applied of all of our applied so what do we got going on here alright guys I got this spring break chamber and all that on there but I show that another one bad - I'll show you how I check them sometimes what you can have on these and you get one leaking this a little bit through putting five psi back it'll actually make the brakes drag - this thing's got so many problems though it's build air again I'll show ya you can pull the application lines off the brake chambers you know and then release the brakes and see which one's bleeding through and I got another one on the left rear side it sweetens beer as well football or the next thing and a check I thought maybe the foot valve was bad but the relay valve might be I'm gonna pull the signal line off it comes from the foot valve to the relay valve right at the relay valve and they hit this once I release the brakes that'll again well I'll put all the brake lines back on again I got off I got three of the four written brake chamber application lines off this herbicides off I was trying to see if I had leaks on other ones put them back on and then we released it breaks again and then we'll hit the brake pedal and then we'll pull the signal line off one of the relay and if the signal goes away from the foot valve but we keep getting an application air to the great Kaymer's and our relay valve stick in important air to the break cans all the time all right odor release now this one back here is bad though this one here see I got the server-side off watch this break put my thumb over the top okay so that was no good either the other two and the front acts will seem to be fine you supply for the team [Applause] hit the brake hit the brake first these would off you then break your walk up right now they're not released anymore okay pretty certain the relay valve is sticky the relay valve decision on the state okay see it's exhausting way it's supposed to the relief valves hung up on it yeah and the air we hear leaking out of there is a little bit on that foot valve out it's leaking a little bit out of the exhaust - but I think we get this relay valve straightened out let's set the brakes on this thing okay Oscar let's take this little relieved valve apart darn it where'd your partner in crime - I don't seem trouble seem like I'm always screaming for trouble trouble so for those of you guys that don't know the way these rebuild Frehley valves work and you're gonna have a supply to them from the tank which is gonna be a sub side down now but supply all right here s you P this is service this is coming from your foot pedal when you hit the brake pedal they should put air to this side of the diaphragm and push this down and what that does it ports air from the supply through the deliveries to your cans well what this one's doing it's sticking open and I'm having trouble here we got to do something different here Oscar down right there on that X now we can get on and what it's doing the diaphragm sticking on it important air constantly to the brakes making a brief drag and it don't take much is the exhaust plugged up full of or what the hell's going on here oh just okay I guess you want it down come out so what happens and you push on that brake pedal and you're pushing this down and that should just move I'm trying to put this all together in my mind what the hell is going on why is that doing what it's doing there what's sticking that would it be the only thing that I could see that would be sticking I'm gonna have constant air in there oh yeah that's the only thing that I see and this whole thing that could really go wrong [Music] correct me if I'm wrong is there some kind of spring that should be in that to return that valve back to neutral okay so it pushes this down I see now there's a valve in this so when it pushes this down this valve right here pushes down I see now now I'm trying to know I'm kind of getting what the hill is does that little valve come out of there can we pull this off of here this valve here must be sticking well guys we're still messing with ulam arm and don't interrupt and get the air system the words satisfactory so no it's hard to see up in there but that's an art 12 relay valve that I stuck in there and I think I got a leak here on the supply side of the valve I got to pull these fittings back out and retail them or put some liquid pipe dope or something to seal it up a little better but I didn't have any at the time I do now the difference on this valve was the other valve was in our 14 and the our fourteen valves have a optional plate there's a plate up on top of the valve one if I could dig that out of the scrap min to show you there's a plate up on the valve with a hole there you can take that plate off and run another airline and that other airline is what they call an anti here it is right here scrap man my scrap bin is getting fool but this plate right here okay you can run another line and I can't remember where the line goes to I think it goes to the it might go to the foot pedal I can't Murph it goes to the foot pedal to the - control valve chime in your truck guys but that's an anti compounding line is what that is that so you can't with the emergency brakes set you know you've got your - control knobs pulled out that you can't apply service pressure to the through the relay valve at the same time that's an anti compounding line now the r14 nobody had one I could have ordered one it would have been two or three days out but they had an R 12 and Noll Tom Strunk there's been working on truckster probably he's a sales parks guy now but he worked on trucks for a long time till they get too old to do it and probably knows more about trucks and forgot more about trucks and Oliver you know and he said this cost that and he said toss a r14 valve over your shoulder and that olam arm and then just put in our 12 relay he said it'll work you might have to do a little bit different plumbing but anyway the r12 valve and the difference between that r12 and our 14 is the delivery ports were on the right side of the you know that was no problem the only the only difference is the the service port on the our 14 was directly above the supply port so on this one it's kind of directly above it but it's on top of the valve and it's facing vertical so I got up in the hosel reach what I did I measured it out I had my better half run to Home Depot and get me a quarter inch male by female street elbow a quarter inch 3 inch nipple in a quarter inch pipe coupler and brass so the male end will go down into the valve the pipe nipple will go into the street l on the female end and then the quarter inch pipe cutter goes there and then the fitting has a male end on it which I need to take back out and then I'll screw it into there and then the hose will plug in and then we'll have our service here to it so I'm gonna get get this all put in there and then we'll see if the service brakes apply and release without sticking on oh and another problem I had gotten a water truck back there that I robbed the tank the the check valve between the primary secondary side this one on this truck I kept hearing it bleeding through there because I do still got something going on with the foot valve I don't know flip valve itself is leaking or if there's something bleeding back through cause in the foot valve to leak but I know this check valve was bleeding through I took it off well I actually took the line off while I still had air in the tank and it was coming out the wrong way so I robbed this one off this other truck because I want to get this fired up and make sure my relief valves gonna work and I'll just get another one for the water truck tomorrow when I go to fleet pride because nobody's open today and it's Sunday I was gonna stay home and get to sitting around I'm bored as hell I'm gonna go do something so here I am here we are hon trouble here we are no trouble no don't be running off taste and I know he's gonna be just like Joby she's a damn squirrel and he just loses his mind and next thing you know he's ten miles away and he's not listening to me there he goes underneath the fence chasing this world which is okay [Music] long as he doesn't wind up yeah somebody's yard or something now instead of bleeding both tanks off what the check valve does is if you got a leak say on the primary side it doesn't bleed on both tanks primary and secondary it'll keep the air in once one section and that's what it was doing the foot valve was probably coming off this tank and it was bleeding both sides down so okay now put the camera back here and watch the brakes apply and release it should be staying released now that's kinda weird huh why did that one stayed out I've done that yet I gotta put that back on the skm thought about that let it keep back here there's that's not a good thing I have phone call or something forgot about it so you're trying to figure out where I can put the camera here video breaks a fine [Music] I want to watch this one actually be a good thing for playback to see what it's doing [Applause] they're doing it now but they're saying release what we want now let's check out we know we gotta fix that one leak going into supply for to the relay valve shut her down okay now still bleeding back through the foot valve I might have to take a hose off at a time and see if there's something else that's bleeding through and causing it to bleed through the foot valve so fix that that's the next thing to fix here but I have solved this problem it was bleeding you could hear it bleeding back through this line here does that check valve I could hear it you know that why is that bleeding through like that then I gotta fix this leak here a small leak there I might try to tighten it up and see if I can hear that we gotta tackle the flip valve problem and see what the hell's going on there let's see what what side is going down faster than the other and I might be screwed because I got the leak on the supply port so I may not be able to really tell the actual rear axle is bleeding down way faster then the front axle is I'm going to try tightening that one pour it up and try to solve that one
