hey what's up everyone james from junkyard fox thank you so much for joining me i am out here camping with these sophisticated gentlemen right here and today we're just unwinding doing some fishing to some tent camping all that good stuff and i just wanted to have a guest uh pocket dump some some edc gear kind of stuff so we have my buddy shadow right here and we're gonna see what he's carrying and then we have red from irish zombie nation youtube channel right here and we're gonna see what they're carrying the flashlights their knives all this stuff multi-tools all that good stuff it's always good to see what everyone's carrying and why they carry it so thank you for joining us let's get started all right everybody i'm gonna start with my edc pocket dump mine's gonna be a little different than most people because i carry uh more things than most people because i have more pockets than most people i wear a vest all the time i ride a motorcycle every day i don't have four wheels i only have two so whatever i have has to be on my person all the time or in a small saddlebag but that's not what this is about this is about just what is on my person we're gonna start at the top work our way down i start off with this right here this is a crkt minimalist this is a little backup fixed blade that i've carried for a very long time this is the bowie design they come in a wide variety of other designs my carta handles i just love the way it fits in my hand it's nice little back up blade if i can snap it back in there that i can grab with either hand i can twist it around blah blah blah so also in this pocket i can snap that open i've got a beard comb why because i have a beard that's why you have a beard comb this one is wood it's made by cremo i think it's sandalwood smells nice kind of tames this when i get off the motorcycle and also in here i have the bit kit for my leatherman which you'll see in a minute this is has 21 different bits on it this is a backup tool so if something happens on my bike like i said i don't have any other way to fix things other than what i have on me or what i have in a small saddlebag so because i carry a leatherman i carry the bit kit and that is wrapped with a ranger band million uses for that nice little elastic band you know what you can use that for that's all i have in that pocket and then coming over to this pocket i have a vaporizer because i quit smoking a long time ago but i love coffee and i love smoking something uh so i choose to smoke this because it's cheaper than cigarettes and it has a nice tobacco brown sugar flavor it's called a voopoo drag s i don't like the name it sounds stupid but all the all these vaporizer things sound stupid but with their name so also i have a little kit right here again wrapped with a ranger band this has a little piece of uh measuring tape taylor's measuring tape in case i need to measure something then i have a credit card i should be putting all this stuff out here i'll do that in a second this is half of an old credit card or an old um like gift card that i cut i cut it in half and then i wrapped it with gorilla tape one inch gorilla tape so besides that i have this is part of the leatherman kit again this is the bit extender so all those little bits i can get a little bit more length if i got to get down and reach a hard to reach spot along with a file that fits the leatherman surge and that's normally what i carry but because i'm out here camping right now i'm not carrying the surge i'm carrying a different leatherman so i'll show you that here in a second let me get a couple of these items out that i was showing a second ago get that knife out i'm gonna start laying this stuff out so you can see all the different things that i carry and a lot of people don't believe i carry all this but you're going to see because you're seeing it in my pockets this is actually what i do carry moving on now to the inside pocket over here the only thing i have down in here it's a very deep pocket is a cord to charge my phone or my vaporizer whatever it's just a cord a little usb cord made by olight and then i forgot to put out the vaporizer situation there we go all right so that's it for that pocket sometimes i'll carry my sidearm in there but i'm not right now because i'm carrying it in a different way different uh new item that i got down in this pocket nothing except a pair of sunglasses normally these would be on my face but sun's going down i don't need them these are cheap dollar sunglasses that i get from the dollar tree i recently moved to new mexico so there's no dollar trees around here i'm gonna have to probably pay more than a dollar for these now all right that's it for right here now the hand warmer pockets i have nothing in this one and this one i've got a bandana that i had on my head earlier i'm not using it right now i'm wearing this hat instead so i just threw that in the pocket and then i have a pair of galaxy made by akg i don't know these are some type of little ear buds you get from samsung i got them free when i bought my very expensive phone and that's what i'm going to show you next moving down this direction i have the keys to my motorcycle which also have a samsung smart tag the smart tag if i have my phone and i beep that twice it's not gonna work right now because i don't think i have the blue oh there we go it finds my phone so if i can't find my phone i can do it with this and if i can't find my bike keys i can use my phone and this thing will beep with the same i don't know if you heard that or not this is james knows this let's see if you might recognize this metal gear metal gear solid yeah the codec yeah so that's my ringtone on there oh and my phone is a samsung galaxy ultra s22 something like that some long name this is the new version of the note the note you know exploded a few years back they stopped making them so now the galaxy ultra is what this is it's a very nice phone uh records excellent video it has a hundred times space zoom you can actually like zoom in on the moon and see individual craters that's how good this phone is so my bike keys my phone that's the only thing i carry in this pocket which is the right side and then in this little coin pocket i have a zippo lighter with a vector thunderbird insert you probably can't see that because it's dark or i mean it's too bright out here but what the reason i carry a butane insert is because i'm burning paracord or something i can point this in any direction that i want it's not like a normal lighter where if you go like this the flames gonna you know go up so i can burn paracord i can burn cordage i can do whatever i want i don't smoke cigarettes but i still carry this just for you know you're in the outdoors you need to burn cordage or something at some point so i also have in that pocket some money a bunch of ones because i'm a baller there's even a five in there check that out ready there it is i think the five is the only one that blew away i'll get that in a minute don't worry about that i don't carry a lot of cash if it blows away i'll probably spend it on hookers anyway so it doesn't matter anyway all right now that's it for that side this side my keys i have take these off if i can just a leather sailor jerry thing that i've had for so long it's starting to fade out i just wrap my keys like that then i have a couple items on a carabiner that slips down on my pocket i don't like my keys way down deep in my pocket i just don't like them bulging up down there so i have them dangling inside the pocket so they're not making noise on here i have a pair of earbuds or not earbuds ear plugs that's riding the motorcycle wind noise is the problem i have tinnitus which is a ringing in the ears so i wear these if i'm going on long distance rides or if i'm shooting guns or whatever i've got earplugs with me at all times only other weird thing i have on here besides keys would be a victorian ox nail clipper pops open like that you never know when you're going to get a hang nail and rather than rip that sucker off i like to have a pair of nail clippers with me it's very thin slim design that's for like your cell phone sim card or whatever and then i have a i just added this recently because of the multi-tool i'm carrying right now this is a leatherman style cs this is a small little deal that has tweezers right here a file a knife a little knife and a decent sized pair of scissors i like carrying a pair of scissors if it's going to be on a multi-tool so be it but the multi-tool i'm carrying right now doesn't have that so this little sucker just goes on my keys and i barely even notice it so those are my keys dump those over here also down in this pockets it's moving to new mexico i now carry some chapstick blistex whatever something to put on my lips because my lips are chapped all the time the air is so dry out here i look like pookie from new jack city it's horrible i hate it so so i don't look like a crackhead i carry this around right here and then down here i also have a small hank of number 36 bank line i carry that just in case boot lace brakes something like that i've got some way to fix it or i just need cordage in general there's a million uses for cordage if you're under the outdoors you know why you would need cordage and this is just what i carry on me also let's say the kickstand on my motorcycle the spring breaks or something like that i've got some cordage i can wrap that sucker up until i get where i'm going and i can fix the problem now some change just got some change you know change as far as my front pockets go that is it now the jeans i am wearing are 511 terrain flex jeans i think they're called these have some extra pockets on them which i'm going to show you in a second but let's start with the knife all right here's my knife this is something new for me i've been carrying the who makes this again bark river bark river bravo one i got this from my buddy shadow traded him another item for this one and i got this really nice scales nice patina on there 90 degree spine i really dig this what i like most about it is if i go over to this side on my core essentials belt i have a bravo concealment holster outside the waistband with my sig p365 and look how those colors match i have a hogue beavertail grip on there and i just love this camo looking combination with this stuff so that's my everyday carry sidearm and that is my current everyday carry fix blade lay both of those there and again i carry that in a bravo concealment holster outside the waistband it forms very nice around the body you know if you put your stuff over like that you can't really tell even though it's outside the waistband and then the knife sheath is just the one that comes with the bravo right there all right now if i move this out of the way this is what's different about these jeans there's an extra little pocket right here that will fit an ar-15 mag or two glock magazines full size what i carry in there this is a new flashlight i've been carrying recently this is a clarus clarus e1 i don't remember exactly uh much about this i don't remember the lumens what i like about it it's got a tail switch right there to turn on and then instead of having some mode button on the side you've got right here because you operate everything with your thumb your modes are right there very nice flashlight deep carry pocket clip i really dig it something new i've started carrying recently and then because i'm camping same little upper pocket right here i have the leatherman signal when i go out camping i like this multi-tool because it has everything i need it has it's kind of a rusted up looking blade because i've used it to death combo blade it's got a saw it's got an emergency ferro rod it's got a little diamond knife sharpening deal it's got a hammer it's got a bottle opener or carabiner it does both you open it up by releasing this and then on the inside you've got a screwdriver a can opener and an all it's got everything you need replaceable wire cutters if you're out camping this is one of the best in my opinion multi-tools you can carry that's it for that we'll continue along with this side back pocket i've got a pair of mechanics flat fast fit gloves i carry those with me now that i'm in new mexico everything out here pokes you or sticks you good to have this if you're collecting firewood or something like that also like i said i ride a motorcycle so gloves every day and also in that back pocket a notepad nothing fancy no field it's a field book it looks like field notes but it's the cheap version and it's so cheap that i've had to wrap it with packing tape to keep it from falling apart i've had this notepad for a very long time that's it for everything on this side moving on to this side underneath the there's that same little hidden pocket that's underneath my sheath or my holster for my sidearm but i don't have anything in that one because that's blocking it in the back pocket i have an o pin in blue this is just a pen with that also has a light attachment on it that separates and then you can attach this if i had like like james right now wearing a shirt with pockets you could just attach this up here and you've got a little light to go you know walk around with or whatever or you can set it down somewhere if you're trying to write you set it down like that it's not a very flat surface but if i had a flat surface set that down on a flat surface and then you can write you've got an illuminated area to write with and these take fisher space pin refills and then the pin itself bolt action just like that it's a nice pen it's a little pricey i don't think i'd ever pay i think i paid 50 bucks for this i don't think i'd ever do that again i think i'd rather just get a cheap pen from dollar store or something like that last thing in the back pocket is my wallet same wallet i've been using forever this is the maxpedition lpw stands for low profile wallet i'm going to open it up hide my information but you've got a card window right here with your info so you can look like an fbi agent and you know when you're getting carded for cigarettes or booze or whatever you're like there's my id and then you've got your credit cards and such like that in the back i don't carry cash or anything like that besides an emergency 20 bill just in case you got to bribe someone you know you never know what's going to happen i think yeah that's it that is everything i carry look at how much crap i carry in my pockets and in my vest every day some people they they say it's it's a lie there's no way you carry all this i do and i just showed you that i do it's no joke it's heavy when i go to the doctor they have to have me strip all this stuff off because it adds like 10 pounds or more weight to me so there you go that's my pocket dump edc all right everyone and next is my buddy shadow we're out here camping with him this is shadow how you doing all right we're gonna check out his edc uh pocket dump style shadow's not used to youtube very much so i'm gonna do the talking for him i might have to ask him a few questions i'm not i don't know if i'm going to remember everything uh but we're going to do the pocket dub starting at the top and working our way down he has something unique about his necklace so that necklace is what's it called again it's a uh viking wet stone from wazoo survival there you go i carry the uh ferro rod emergency ferro rod on it as well so way to start a fire way to sharpen your knife awesome all right moving down where do you want to go next spot i'm i'm good uh this is my firearm all right that is a taurus model 605 605 and 357. revolver five shot i have shot this thing both with 38 and 357. 38 is awesome 357 made my ears ring forever nice little leather sheath he has going on i like this little hammer simple little hammer leather strap and then military style clip so you can clip it on however you want you can do cross draw from the other side you can do it on your your uh your strong side however you want to do it so that's a really nice deal right there absolutely yeah all right moving on cigar case leather cigar case and you smoke backwoods correct backwoods cigars so that will hold five it look no six yeah right i can get seven in there seven in there all right seven in there that's smells really nice too yeah that's a nice little cigar holder right there all right next up well you gotta have a ladder for that gotta have a lighter for that shadow is a biker just like me he's got the harley-davidson zippo standard zippo no no butane thing like i got goes along with the uh with the cigars there well let's go here i got a watch i got a washi o solar powered watch i got from my buddy red here i carry that uh that doubles as my compass i don't i don't need a compass as long as i can see the sun here in the desert we're good to go uh this is something i just made it's just got fisherman's knot and it can be used for an emergency tourniquet if you need to be if i didn't have anything else of course you always want to have a little bit extra paracord with you as well all right what are we doing next yeah we have this oh that is a o light you know a shadow love zolo light and so do i that is the s1r baton 2 very small orange bright something if you drop it on the ground out here in the desert you're going to see very easily uh i forgot what the lumens on it isn't like thousands thousand thousand lumens multiple modes magnetic base really nice little light and he has that attached to a sheath leather sheath right here it's a straight old school shred leather sheath that's really awesome those are hard to find now and in the sheath we have that is the leatherman wave plus this actually used to belong to me and i sold it to shadow because i have too many leathermans and moving down here i needed some money so i'm sure you guys know what a leatherman wave does it has you know the the small scissors the eyeglass deal the multiple different type of screwdrivers that's the scissors i'm not gonna undo all this he has a lanyard on there because he carries in that leather sheath so it's easy to get hold of can opener bit driver replaceable wire cutters the wave plus is one of the most popular and most used model of leatherman there is so most people you're gonna find carry a leatherman away that's a really nice multi-tool all right moving on a pair of uh mechanics gloves which originally used to have a strap which has been removed off of here so it's completely open shadow told me why he does this it's so while he's riding his bike he can just put his hand like under his thigh and just pull his glove off if he needs to do something real quick and while riding move it back on but much like me you're out here in the sticks in new mexico you're gonna need a pair of gloves because everything wants to poke you and stab you and now we've got shadow's wallet this is a homemade leather wallet i'm not going to show you any of his idea or stuff but it carries cash and there's cards and stuff in the back nice brass braided chain attached to his keys along with i forgot i think these are called like fish hook i think they are yeah like a fish hook clip that goes on your belt or in your pocket so that's a really nice homemade wallet and key setup right there absolutely now we're moving on to the fixed blade that is from the pathfinder knife school and that one is called the mountain lion mountain lion check that sucker out is that lighting okay yeah all right wood handles you know what the woods it's walnut and it's 3 16 at the spine and a 90 degree spine 90 degree spine and scandi grind but it has a secondary bevel and i put the lanyard and the lion doohickey on the end yeah a little wine bead on the end of that yeah lanyard very nice knife pathfinder school sure you guys are all familiar with that and then also on the leather sheath he has right here homemade six inch six by half inch is that right ferro rod with a antler yep is that elk or what is that yeah that is elk elk elk antler look at that homemade by shadow you can see he's been using that side quite a bit very nice fits on his sheath and that's the sheath he carries it on right there that's the one that came with the knife yeah you have to order it separate yeah you don't have them anymore but uh okay there you go real good and he does that carry yeah he does that in a cross draw or it can be scout carry so all of that uh is that it that my hat that i live in the desert it's hot yeah you gotta have your hat yeah so minimalist carry on him because he has as you can see right here where we've been laying our edc stuff out he has a truck he has the ability to carry other things he doesn't need to like me i got to carry everything on my body he doesn't need to so he has other things his truck he can go get so that's pretty much it you can see a minimalist edc versus what i just showed you which is way too much crap but this is awesome i mean dogs barking over there everything you need right there all right so that's pretty much it that's me that's shadow that's our edc now we're going to send it back to
