in both classic vanilla and classic tbc dungeon grinding has ended up being one of the fastest ways to level especially on launch day or launch week scenarios where tons of players are online and competing for monsters and quest objectives in the open world but will this be the case when classic rather witchkin comes out or will there be another questing or leveling method that is even more effective let's take a look [Music] first off what are the best dungeons to grind inside of in wrath of wish king in regards to xp per hour now wrath launches with 12 dungeons ranging from level 70 to level 80 and what we're looking for are relatively easy streamlined dungeons that facilitate larger aoe poles and easy instance resets with a much higher mob density it also helps if these dungeons have some easily acquirable dungeon quests that aren't on the back end of a long open world quest chain for some juicy bonus xp so with that dungeon grinding criteria being established our dungeon grinding route from level 70 to level 80 would almost certainly look something like this boot guard keep from level 70 to 73 on kahat from level 73 to 76 gun drac from level 76 to level 79 and finally oogard pinnacle from level 79 to level 80 with an additional quest run in azul narab and violet hold thrown in as well optionally along the way but what is the xp per hour in these four grinding dungeons that i just mentioned depending on your current level and which dungeon you're currently grinding in you'll be ranging anywhere from 360 000 xp per hour up to 420 000 xp per hour which is honestly not bad considering the total xp needed from level 70 to level 80 is almost exactly 16 million but how does this xp per hour compare to the xp per hour of like an optimal questing route in wrath of lich king let's take a look the average quest in wrath gives around 21 000 xp and the average monster kill in wrath gives around a thousand xp so assuming you're killing around 10 monsters per quest on average each wrath quest is going to give you around 31 000 xp each what this means is that you would have to complete nearly 13 quests per hour almost one quest every five minutes in order to compete with the xp per hour of five man dungeon farming now normally this might be achievable if you're pretty fast at questing but based on what we've seen on classic and tbc launch i wouldn't exactly count on questing that fast if wrath launches anything like tbc launch there will be open world lag and tons of players running around competing with you for every single monster and quest resource additionally tbc saw the rise of mega servers as an example benediction has five times the active player base today than it did at the end of classic vanilla fire maw the world's biggest server at the moment has over six times as many people as it did about a year and a half ago so if you're on one of these mega servers you might need to plan accordingly i'd also like to add that on classic tbc launch we saw players from top guilds grinding dungeons in teams of four as they raced to world first formatting dungeons as opposed to five manning dungeons has the potential to substantially increase your xp per hour if you can maintain a good speed because you're still trying to play within the confines of four effective instance resets per hour that being said i would not recommend doing this unless you're really geared and your entire grinding team is spamming consumables with proper gems and proper enchants and very good maybe group composition as well that being said if your dungeon grinding team can pull off the four-man dungeon grind you'll be looking anywhere from 417 000 to 480 000 xp per hour which is likely faster than any other method of leveling on launch day i also want to talk about the pros and cons of these methods outside of the sheer xp per hour by questing you'll gain a significant amount of reputation needed towards your max level enchants and maybe some previous pieces as well though likely level a bit more slowly whereas with dungeon grinding you might potentially hit level 80 without even having the friendly reputation needed towards unlocking your dungeon reputation tabards which are needed to farm for very important reputations for enchants and some priebus items like i mentioned ultimately i think hitting 80 as quickly as possible then doubling back to get your reputation started is probably the fastest method but this is something to keep in mind though you'd miss out on some quest reputation you can't really efficiently start farming reputation in wrath until level 80 anyway because dungeon reps and wrath work very differently than they do in burning crusade in wrath you need to equip a tavern to gain reputation with the ebb and blade warmest accord argent crusade and kirin tor but the tavr doesn't actually do anything outside of level 80 dungeons and heroics so it's not like you're missing out on a ton of reputation anyway by dungeon grinding especially if it saves you almost 10 hours or more and side note these dungeon tab reputations are required for some of the best helmet enchants so you definitely need to get these reps taken care of at some point additionally for maybe some of your pre best and slot items i also want to throw in a list of specifically selected dungeon quests for you guys to give you some bonus xp should you choose to go down the dungeon grinding route now these are quests that don't require long quest chains to unlock but rather you can just pick them up and get going and turn them in very very easily in total these dungeon quests are worth over 400 000 xp which is worth around one hour of dungeon grinding in preparation for wrath you can also pre-complete 25 quests and turn them in on launch day for around three hundred thousand xp and yes level 70 daily quests do reward xp when wrath comes out so you can pre-complete a bunch of isle of quel'denas or netherwing or shitari skyguard dailies to get a bunch of xp when wrath launches a quick side note for leveling via questing as well it is generally always worth doing at least one quest run per dungeon as you quest your way to level 80 because dungeon quests are just worth so much xp and you'll also have access to more dungeon quests than a dungeon grinder would because you're unlocking several more of them at the end of very long open world quest chains i also want to add that if you have some extra gold to spare you will shave off tons of time along your journey from 70 to 80 by using level 70 raid consumables you can easily increase your throughput by 10 or more by using flasks weapon oils and various other consumables which directly translates to faster dungeon grinding or faster questing but let me know guys how do you plan on leveling and also what are your plans for classic wrath i think personally i will probably be dungeon grinding my way to level 80 and that's because i know how kind of crazy the open world can be based off my experiences with classic vanilla and classic tvc on their respective launch days also i just kind of like doing dungeons but guys please make sure to like and subscribe the video if you found it enjoyable or helpful thanks for watching a ton and as always stay safe [Music] [Music] [Music] you
