fighting games have their fair share of intimidating characters but if you ask us the scary looking fighters are the ones you have to worry about the least much more dangerous are the fighters that look cute and friendly but then deliver a savage beatdown leaving you not only Kayode but also with a story that no one is gonna believe anyway here are our 7 favorite harmless-looking fighting game characters who were actually absolute beasts enjoy some say appearances can be deceiving with her they are deadly do not be misled there are no cakes or wine in her basket only tools of our demise behind her innocent [Music] the dark stalkers series of horror fighting games has some deeply imposing characters including more werewolves mummies and Dracula's than you can shake a crucifix at so you might think that the character baby Bonnie hood is going to have a hard time seeing as she appears to be based on Little Red Riding Hood the fairy tale character known for her red cloak and basket of old lady food [Music] in the original fairytale Little Red Riding Hood is an impossible dumbass who can't tell the difference between her own grandmother and a feral wolf wearing her grandmother's clothes because of this she gets eaten by the wolf then has to be saved later on by a woodcutter who kills the wolf for her Darkstalkers bebe hood is a radically different take on the character in that she is a supernaturally talented demon hunter armed with an Uzi and that's not all bebe is also armed with a rocket launcher a fire bottle and a basket full of what we have to assume a bricks judging by how much damage it does when she hits you with it and if she offers you an apple maybe don't accept we may not have answered the question of who's afraid of the big bad wolf but we can definitely cross bebe hood off the list I really gotten stronger and my closer to my goal of getting strong like him like I used to wish for he's out there somewhere stars it doesn't matter though I'll get us to him soon enough of the tournament hang on Ryu Sanh I'll be there before you know it high-school kids stand all sorts of celebrities fictional characters and bands and usually all at least two is some ill-advised eyeliner choices or trying to learn Korean so you can understand BTS lyrics Sakura from the rival schools and street fighter series however is a huge ryu stand which means she's learned how to be an incredibly deadly martial artist despite still having to go to geography class [Music] not content to just stick a Ryu poster on the inside of her locker door Sakura has studied his moves and learned wholly an array of deadly punches and kicks but also unorthodox versions of his most powerful attacks like the hurricane kick and the dragon punch the upshot is Sakura might look like a harmless school kid but she is more than capable of unleashing a devastating fireball directly into your unsuspecting face at least she probably gets to hang on to all her lunch money first fist upon your face go for broke if you've played any of the Phoenix Wright games you'll know that their lawyer simulators in which very little fighting takes place unless you count that woman who's always hitting you with a whip in court the point is unless you're a prosecuting attorney Phoenix isn't a very intimidating guy which is why you might skip over him in favor of the more traditionally tough looking superheroes and street fighters available to you in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 but behind the clumsy exterior Phoenix along with the assembled Ace Attorney cast is an absolute beast causing massive damage to his opponents by sneezing hitting them with disguise evidence and getting his assistant Myer to trip them up and that's not all his level 3 hyper combo is up there with the highest damage dealing hyper combos in the game even if you've got diplomatic immunity like all dr. doom here [Music] hire one win how long we've been hiding this Phoenix I can't help but feel like this would have come in handy in court [Music] Tron Vaughn is originally from the Mega Man Legends series she's a fourteen-year-old girl accompanied by a horde of little cute robots known as surf BOTS which look like Lego minifigs that have been hastily redesigned to be 400% cuter [Music] again this is Marvel vs. Capcom we're talking about where your other choices of characters include superheroes demons and literal gods so you might be tempted to skip the fourteen-year-old for someone with unbreakable adamantium bones or a guy whose head is always on fire but Tron bond is no pushover mostly due to the fact that she goes everywhere in a mobile bipedal tank called Gustaf that is armed with rockets a flamethrower and has stronger punches than an end-of-year frat party [Music] and then there's the surf box which acute on their own but decidedly less cute and more deadly in numbers when they become massive and are armed with a big hammer [Music] okay the squeaking is still pretty cute [Music] as fighters go they don't get much less intimidating than Super Smash Brothers Jigglypuff who is literally a soft pink round ball who spends most of their time asleep but though it might look to the untrained eye like you'd be better off going with one of the characters from an actual fighting game like Ken or Terry Bogard don't sleep on Jigglypuff which is hard I know because that's kind of their whole deal while jiggly is endurance and ground game isn't great they have a great air game thanks to a fast airspeed and high floatiness but their secret weapon is the utterly ruinous move known as rest in which Jigglypuff falls asleep for three seconds and anything that touches them gets catapulted into space this can reliably ko people at 70% but can go as low as 50% for some characters which has led to Jigglypuff getting quite the fearsome reputation online despite we remind you then being a soft pink ball who yep has fallen asleep again I wouldn't touch them if I were you toady [Music] the words reckless child endangerment to get thrown around a lot these days but I think we can all agree that letting a small child get into fistfights with knife-wielding street gangs qualifies [Music] and yet that's what we see in Streets of Rage 2 which added the character of Eddie skate hunter to the mix skate was the kid brother of Adam from the first game and was as his name suggests enthusiastic about skating a fondness for rollerblading doesn't sound like it will help much when you're brawling with Punk's in an alley but luckily for Axel and blaze who would surely cop the heat for this if skate got himself killed it turned out the skate is actually more than capable of taking care of himself on the mean streets for start while he may be weak he's super fast and his rollerblades let him - towards people and launch bone-crunching headbutt attacks you can also vault up onto people's shoulders and just wail on their noggin and spin around like crazy effing everyone up in the process still we've got to admire his determination look he can barely lift that lead pipe he's bludgeoning that guy with adorable [Music] [Applause] [Music] teddie from persona 4 arena is a smiling cartoon bear who is excited and enthusiastic about everything right up until the fight starts at which point it becomes clear that teddy is also extremely enthusiastic about beating you senseless with some pretty wicked claws that were sure worm there a second ago those unfamiliar with teddy from other games in the persona series might also be surprised to find themselves on the receiving end of in no particular order baseball bats oversized boxing gloves huge comedy cartoon weights and to cap things off being sealed inside a robot with a bomb then fired into space where they explode in a shower of fireworks that look like Teddy's face [Music] [Music] [Applause] I mean I guess by the seventh character in this list I really shouldn't be good point
