How to look elegant in fall. That's exactly what I'm going
to give you in this video. I'm going to give you some of my favorite
tips on how to elevate your look so that you can stay elegant, even
during this difficult season. My dear elegant ladies, welcome
back to another episode. I want to jump straight into the seven
tips that I want to share with you that has to do with how you can
elevate your wardrobe during fall. I'm going to give you the exact style
mindset that I personally have for this difficult season. And in my personal
opinion, it is a difficult season. We have to incorporate more items. We have to also think about the
purpose of the items and of course, to keep ourselves warm
while still look good. But you can look elegant even when
you have all these coats and boots, and the hats, and everything that you
have to pile on yourself to be warm. I'm going to give you my
best tips so let's start. One of the things you have for sure
heard me talk about many times is how an elegance hat can actually
elevate your entire look. Now see ladies, this is a hat
for fall. And as I put it on, I immediately look more glamorous and
I can even just wear something pretty simple down here, but still feel
like I have my whole outfit together. This thing will also keep you
warm and chic at the same time, which is why I really think it's
worth investing in multiple hats, in multiple colors that you can wear
with different types of outfits. Now, tip number two is going to be
similar to tip number three as well, but I need to tell you about
my big love for separates. As you can see in the background,
I am in my walk-in wardrobe. Here, you have a row of separates. Here you have a row of other
separate and there as well. Ladies, investing in separate,
it is so important. So when it becomes colder, of course you need to have
some cardigans, some sweaters. I have a cashmere long sleeve. I buy a lot of cashmere for
fall and winter because I just find this material to be very soft, yet warm without having to really wear
those really thick and bulky sweaters. And that's something that I personally
don't like as a personal preference for the simple reason that it makes you
look bigger, it makes you look wider. It makes you look, I don't
know, a few kilos heavier, and that's not really the
look that I'm aiming for. And since we talk about elegance and
femininity so much on this channel, that's not really the
direction we want to go. It's better that we use a thinner
fabric so that we can still show our silhouette and kind of show
our femininity this way. That's why I really like
garments like this. You see, this is something because of
the very high quality material, it will still keep you warm,
but it's not too thick. However, it's thick enough to keep you warm. Surely when the winter hits, and if
you live in a country where it's -20, you might have to do a bit
of layering. But for fall, it's perfect to just
wear something like this. And my tip is to really
stock up on sweaters like this in multiple colors. And I've spoken so much
about on my platforms, how important it is to
invest in separates. I am the type that I rather
spend much more on separates, meaning a pair of trousers,
a top or something. Then I would spend on
one piece like one dress. I just feel like you get
more usage of separates, which is why I think
everybody who has to budget, spend more on things like this, because you will have endless combinations
of outfits this way. Another thing, I don't know if you've noticed,
but I mostly wear a V-neck. And let me tell you one thing ladies
about V-neck is that V-neck is the most flattering for most body shapes
and even most types of bodies. So let's say you are a plus
size woman, maybe have a full bust, V-neck is going to be one
of the more flattering necklines for you. But you know what? It's also a neck line that
makes you look more feminine, which is why I keep wearing
V-neck so much. Tip number three. Again, let's talk about my trousers.
You can see there in the background. I'm not really going to pull them out, but my third tip is really
about stocking up on trousers. You can see here in the background,
of course I have those dark trousers. Then I have green. I have a red,
some pink, I think I have some orange there, some pattern, gray, yellow.
What else do I have? Nude, white and I have
more and more whites. I have a lot of white trousers
because I love white. Now ladies, definitely stock up with trousers
because we are entering a trouser season. And if you live in a country that it gets
really cold and you might even have to wear something that's warming
you underneath your trousers. But truly trousers are going to be your
best friend in this type of climate. But in order not to look boring, this is when you should be
experimenting with color or at least, if you're somebody who have a body shape
where you feel adding color to your bottom part is not going
to be flattering for you. Then try and think about how you
can instead use different types of cuts on trousers and so on
that are flattering for you. But if you have a body type that allows
you adding a bit of color down there, definitely do that. Like you saw me,
I have everything from blue, black, green, red, yellow. I mean, I have
pretty much most of the colors. And I really think that when you
have so many colors to choose from, and when you also have many
tops or knit wear or turtlenecks or cardigans, etc that also you
purchased in all kinds of colors. But please note colors that
suit and your complexion, then you are truly going to have endless
of combinations in your fall and winter season. And it's actually not going to
be as boring as you anticipated to be at this stage. Number four.
And speaking of separates, I am going to continue to talk about
this because it is that important. Definitely this is not going to be
a dress and skirt season that we are entering, but this doesn't mean that
you can't wear these things, anyway. Of course, you can. If you wear hosiery, if you somehow get a skirt or a
dress in the material that is more thick and so on, they can still keep
you a little bit warm during the season. One of my favorite tips so that I can
still wear my dresses and my skirts during the season is to
actually wear them with boots. Maybe something like this. Now, I know, Anna Wintour loves wearing
boots and skirts, and dresses. And I also know Victoria Beckham
does a lot that in her fashion line, but I really need to give a big
shout out for this type of style. It's a really great styling
tip in fall and winter, because you still allow yourself to dress
feminine while still keeping yourself warm. You don't have to
wear necessarily the tights. You can just wear your boots and they
will be covering enough for you to still stay warm. I also recommend to buy
boots, not only in the color black, buy them in brown, buy them
in gray, buy them in nude color. Here I have in nice
aubergine. As you know, I love wearing my white clothes,
my white trousers and so on. So boots like this, I would
actually be able to wear. So try and experiment with
a little bit of color. It's really going to
spice things up for you. And if you are not very much into kind
of the more flamboyant aspect of style, the why don't you keep yourself to
neutral colors or natural colors? Because those are always going
to be very classic, safe bets, and always easy to combine. Number five, invest in coats. And ladies, last year I did the
three parts coat special, where I really gave you an in depth
masterclass on how to pick the perfect coat and how to
choose the right color, etc. And do you know why
I did the three-part series? Because coat is one of the most
important things that you should invest in and spend on during fall
and winter season. Why? Because it's such a big piece.
It accepts so much of our space. Well, you know what I mean? But also because it's one of those
things we're going to be seen in whenever we leave our home. And I'm
sure a lot of you, ladies, you are perhaps commuting or you
want to take a stroll in town, etc. So that's going to be the piece
of garment that people look at you and over and over again.
And I personally feel, in order not to become totally depressed
and feel absolutely ugly during fall and winter, you really need
to alternate your coats. You can't just buy one coat in the
color black. That's not really, what's going to make you feel
your best or even look your best. I know that funds can be limited, but
what's important is to maybe try and see. Can you maybe get a second coat or maybe
a third coat and try and experiment a little bit with color.
But to find out more about coats, definitely watch that series
that I made on YouTube. It's going to be of great
asset to you. Ladies, before I continue, I need to tell
you that I have a free cheat sheet, the How To Look Expensive cheat sheet
that will really help guiding you regardless of your budget
on how to look expensive. Those little tricks that
I personally use in my wardrobe. To get this cheat sheet visit www.ClassyCheatsheet.com And it's absolutely free. Number six, ladies, and this is a must. Did I put it the right way? Okay. Quite frankly, ladies, I am not a big fan of hats like this.
What do we call them, a beanie? But the truth is that it is
going to get cold at some point. And we can necessarily only
rely on hats like this. They might not always keep us warm, but a beanie in very high quality
material will always keep us warm. I really, really want all of you elegant
ladies to buy a beanie in some very good material, in soft material, in the material that will really
keep you warm. But not only that, why do we want to have a
very high quality beanie? Because you are going
to look more expensive. Now you don't have to get a beanie
with a big logo like I have here, but pick one that it just feels amazing. And think about that you will
be wearing this thing every day. Because one of the things that we don't
want to compromise on is warmth, right? We need to stay warm during the season. I don't want you to get sick and I don't
want you to feel uncomfortable whenever you go out. I feel like this is such
an important piece of garment for me. So that's why I really wanted
to include this on the list. But I also think that, since this
going to be your everyday item, make sure you spend on it. So even
if you buy a Chanel like I did, or if you buy something else, just make sure you love it
and that it feels comfortable, and that it suits your coloring
as well. As you can see, I bought one hat that is my
color, flatters my color. Since this piece of garment
is so close to my face, it cannot be in the color
that clashes with my face. So I'm excited for you and
your warmth this season. You really need to get one
of these. Tip number seven, and this is going to be the last tip.
I'm talking about gloves, ladies. And I'm not giving you some
really rocket science things here. But another thing that I have really
paid attention to is how important gloves are during the season. But it gets also quite boring
if we just wear black gloves. So that's why you should buy them in
different colors and also colors that will perhaps match or look good with the
color of the coats that you own. So if you have a beige
coat, as an example, maybe having black gloves will look
really boring with it. Why not buy, let's say red gloves or something like that? I wear a lot of whites. Of course, I like to wear a bit of light
colored gloves. Regardless, I think gloves are important.
So don't forget to buy those things. And since gloves don't cost too much, usually you can actually spare a
little bit and buy them in different colors to kind of spice up
your outfit. Now ladies, that was all for me today. I really hope you have enjoyed this video
and that you also have downloaded my free cheat sheet at www.ClassyCheatsheet.com Now the next video that I have up for you is all about elegant footwear during fall. So make sure you watch that video because
that's something that we really need to talk about, shoes. I will see you in that video.
