My dear elegant ladies, people might not think you
look professional at work if you wear any of these 10 things that
I'm about to present to you. Let's start with thing number one. Ladies, you will look so unprofessional
if you wear anything revealing. And under that bracket goes too much
cleavage, something that is too short, so sheer, anything backless, anything that shows your stomach
like a crop top, generally speaking, anything that really shows a lot of skin. It's highly inappropriate for the
office space. So all those mini skirts, mini dresses, all those kinds of
garments that are perhaps trendy, but they're not suitable for professional
environment. Don't wear them at work. Number two, this might come across like
a little bit obvious, but believe me, when they say that,
how come in every office space, we still see people do this mistake? I'm talking about coming
too casual to work, meaning you wearing your yoga
pants, your leggings at work, you come wearing something that looks
like a pajama, or maybe it is your pajama. Some even wear sweatpants and other
people wear lounge wear and it's so inappropriate for work, even if you have more of
a casual office dress code, it doesn't matter. No matter
how casual your office is, it's just too casual. All I'm saying is that even if you
have casual dress code at work, you need to step it up a notch. You don't have to come to
the office wearing a suit, but you certainly cannot wear
your pjs or your work out clothes. Number three. Now, for anybody who is in the more higher
end position or somebody who definitely has a strict certain dress code at work,
because don't forget different offices, different companies, they will have
different types of office cultures, but also dress code. And this goes
also for different professions. But one thing that is generally
speaking, a formality, and that is that a woman should
never wear something sleeveless. She needs to cover her
shoulders at all times at work, even if it's summertime,
even if it's hot. Now, of course, this can create problems in summer
because what are we going to do? We might not want to wear
something with a sleeve. We might want to wear more something with a little spaghetti strap or something like that. So my advice
is no spaghetti straps, no cami tops, nothing off the
shoulder or any tube tops. No ladies, always wear
a short sleeve if it's hot, if it's not hot, of course wear
longer sleeves like I am wearing. But if you feel like it's too hot, why don't you wear a fabric that is
more lightweight and more breathable, but that doesn't compensate on
the shoulder? Because truly, in a formal environment, you should
not be wearing shoulder less cuts. Number four, don't wear
anything too tight. What does too tight signal? It signals sex. It signals sensuality, seductiveness and we don't want to put
any of that energy in the workspace because we are not here to
talk about sex. We're here to work and
we're here to be professional. We are here to have people take us
seriously and now think all kinds of different thoughts. Okay? As an example, a pencil skirt is very much
appropriate for the office, but there are different
types of pencil skirts. There are these really sexy
tight one that is very seductive and the will make the man
be like, who's that girl. And then there is the more
looser one, the straighter one, the one that is not talking about sex. Maybe your grandma could
wear as an example. So that's the type of pencil
skirt we want to wear at work. Not saying now you have
to dress like a grandma, but you certainly should
not sex it up at work. It's a big no-no and same goes for
if you want to wear any form of dresses, no bodycon dresses,
no tight dresses, no tight pencil dresses. If you
are going to wear a pencil dress, definitely wear a cut that is more
appropriate for the office space. Number five,
don't wear this at work. Truly, this is going to make you look so
unprofessional, but not only that, it's also going to
cheapen your appearance. I'm talking about having
visible underwear, anything from having
a sheer top that shows the bra you're wearing underneath. Maybe you are wearing a lace bra and
you can see a little bit of the lace poking under the fabric because the
fabric is so sheer or so light, or let's say you are wearing something
where you can see your bra straps, or let's say you're
wearing a pair of trousers. And as soon as you bend
over for something, you can see your thong poking up. Things like that, ladies. It's all about
the details. And then the office space, it's crucial to think about
these details because it's incredibly inappropriate. And again, it removes
professionalism from you. By the way, ladies, for more tips on how to look expensive

which is the best part. It's going to give you the best tools

really make you look like an amateur. It will remove any form of
professionalism from you instantly. And when I say
damaged garments, I mean, when you haven't steamed
your garment or ironed it, when you come to work and
your shirt is all wrinkly, that's not going to look professional. Or let's say you have
a stained dirty top on you. Maybe you forgot that it had a little
hole or there are some threads poking up or just really anything that
just looks worn out and old. What impression are you
going to leave in that sense? Do you think people are
going to think like, oh, what a clean cuts of professional
employee I am dealing with here or this entrepreneur looks
so successful. No ladies, it makes you look poor and
it makes you look cheap. Number seven. Now I know that you think
that I'm an anti-jeans girl by now, but it's really not the case.
However, in the workspace, we don't wear jeans. The only exception would be if
you are working in a more relaxed, kind of casual office environment, where really there is absolutely
no dress code. Then okay, wear jeans, but maybe try and wear like darker jeans, like dark blue or maybe black or white. Whites can look fine because white
jeans always look more dressed up than regular jeans. Anyway,
going back to jeans, obviously, ripped jeans are not appropriate
for office. Jean shorts, no, no, no, no, no. Or any form of
kind of sparkly, bejeweled, embroider jeans just less is more
if you really have to wear jeans. But generally speaking, I would not recommend
any of you ladies to wear jeans. It does not work in an office
environment. Number eight, heels that are too high. And I'm talking about heels that are
really higher than eight centimeters. They are taboo in the office. You cannot wear heels that are
10, 11, 12 centimeters. Really, throw them
away if you have any right now, because it's not appropriate.
Remember, under eight centimeters, I think that's 3.5 inches.
So keep it low. If you're unsure, keep it lower just to be safe.
For daytime and for office, you never wear stilettos.
or anything that is high. Number nine, continuing with shoes because
did you know that in a formal office space, you should
always wear closed shoes? You cannot wear sandals at any
point. And when I say sandals, I mean literally all kinds of open shoes, everything from flip-flops
to mules, to regular sandals, sandal heels, sandals with low heel,
or my favorite Birkenstock. The favorite part was obviously a joke. Pumps is suitable for the office
space if you're wearing heels. if you are not wearing heels, let's say a pair of ballerina
will work absolutely fine. I do think a nice little kitten heel in
a pump is quite suitable for the office if you don't really want to wear heels.
But still not be flat with a ballerina, a little tip from me. Last but not least,
number 10. For the office space, it's incredibly taboo and
wrong to wear heavy makeup. That comes across incredibly
unprofessional. Keep your makeup elegant, minimal, less is more, no heavy
eyeshadow. Well listen, try not to do any eyeshadows, whatsoever. Maybe a little bit of little bit
of eyeliner so it barely shows, but nothing more than that.
Keep it truly simple. If you have to wear foundation,
make sure there's no heavy layers, no contouring. Make it
look invisible, okay? If you're going to do your eyebrows, make sure you're not there doing those
really harsh brows that we see so many fails on the internet
and also tone down the lipstick. You do not wear red lipstick
in the office. It's not appropriate. You wear something very neutral.
And these were just some of my tips, ladies. I want you all
to get the promotion. I want you to really
rock it in your career, but you have to dress and look
accordingly because unfortunately, we live in society where first
impressions matter so much and your personal brand.
