6 Satisfactory Tips to Help You with FACTORY MANAGEMENT!

hey guys welcome back to another video of satisfactory and today we will be doing tips and tricks specifically six plus a bonus plus a bonus and the bonus isn't that far um but essentially this is just a tips and tricks video for starting off in satisfactory you could be a pro and these will help you so tip number one build factories on foundations always always always always build them on foundations it you'll think yourself later n it's just unmatch like just it's you will thank yourself later like this Factory you can see because it's like raised up right here that I didn't build this on foundations originally I had this originally just laid out across this like landscape right here and eventually I was like you know what we need to build this on foundations so I spent the time I just like dismantled all of it um and I just rebuilt it it wasn't really that hard now if you're a newbie don't don't do this it depends on how early you are but if you're early game and you don't have concrete or plates automated um then concrete and plates concrete and plates both of them if you don't have both of them automated get them automated because it will just save you like and plus no one wants to grind you'll get trapped in like a circle of grinding and it will take it genuinely takes so long to make a bunch of these cuz look at how much they cost yeah that you have to automate it you got to got to automated hear that Ray got to so next part uh this is your bonus tip right here once you get an awesome sink in shop which you can you can't see but they're over there um once you get those buy conveyor walls you can find them if you go to walls you scroll down to section s conveyor connections use these the organization here is just crazy like the potential like look there's conveyor wall here conveyor wall here there's conveyor wall on this exit over or on like this exit over here both of these have conveyor walls it just use them constantly always use conveyor walls they will save you they will help you always always always always always like organization is just so so key and also the clipping clipping on the conveyor wall if you don't use conveyor walls your your conveyor will clip you might have to end up doing stuff like this this is an early Factory so we haven't changed it you'll have to deal with this or like with this crap it's clipping right when it's clipping it's just so much worse I'm I know I'm a kind of guy who like pays attention to that I care about that make sure you care about your clipping cuz you will hate it later this will make your life like the conveyor walls will make your life so much easier tip number two if you notice if you look at any of my factories you can see that I've built way more foundations than I need to like these gaps right here could be reduced I could just delete these foundations and I would be fine you look over here these gaps right here this Gap right here these gaps right here stuff like that like if you could like this guy you could just delete them but I don't because it looks better and also it helps you build factories if you build a massive footprint of like foundations it helps you build your factories way too much in most cases a second floor is too much space and uses up too many conveyor belts this one is only a second floor because it's producing an entirely different product this one's producing oh that's not it's producing rotors but then it goes back to the original thing this produces rotors down here right we get 12 minute and this area over here produces modular frames I wanted to expand it without needing to do too much but if you look a lot of the space is wasted by conveyor belts cuz you have to go up and down and up and down and up and down just to get product over to where it needs to be like look at this like almost all the ceiling space is used up by one conveyor belt that just splits off like rods like that's a little that's too much so just build way more foundations than you need to on one floor or you could just plan ahead now obviously you could build in an ocean there are oceans on the map if you look there are plentiful oceans um there's one over here see if you look we have the super computer Factory um there's one over here which is massive there's one over here which is massive just choose an ocean uh if you really want to get a lot of uh working space because they help a bunch trust me like build an ocean or even a water feature like if you look at this this provides no Purpose By the way but we could have just built on this water feature now I chose not to because this water feature looked cool but we could have totally just built on this water feature and not had to deal with pretty much anything if you use the oceans you will essentially have Infinite Space and if you still don't think you have enough space build above the ground like uh what's what's a good area to explain this in this one right here is built above the ground uh this one right here this one's a good example I built it above the ground not having it clip in because you can just build it like with supports like these right you can use uh what are these supports these big pillar supports these small pillar supports you can use anything pretty much right it just doesn't make sense not to use supports tip number three by the way we're on number third items stack over time even if you need them right now they will constantly be producing and if you look at some of my factories they don't produce much like that rotor Factory only makes 12 a minute and guess what guess how many rotors I got if I look at my rotor storage which would be up in this Warehouse it's got a bunch like here I'll fly up there while I'm explaining this but it makes a lot my case industrial beams only make whatever the average or the the normal for the assemblers everything just makes normal amounts for the most part like even for a minute is not that bad right like for a minute you add that up over the course of an hour and you've got 240 like that's a lot and most likely you only need them for a little bit so it shouldn't be that bad right so here's my rotors completely full now I have another storage set that I will get to give me one sec second like just look at all these storage containers if I can get to the rotors I'll show you um they should be somewhere yeah like this this is the third industrial storage container I make a lot or I don't make a lot but I have a lot which is kind of nice it's kind of nice to just have a lot but I don't need to make a lot like it only makes six per minute on those in tast industrial beams but because it's like at least six per minute it makes a bunch per hour it has easily stacked up to fill the entire industrial storage container and almost like probably another one by now we needed them at some point just not that many six per minute doesn't seem like that much but again 360 per hour that's a lot and for in case industrial beams what do you need in case industrial beams for Mark fours like it's not that bad eventually like by the time you actually get Mark 4S you will have so many incase industrial beams that you won't need to worry about it if you just make it right in the course of 1 hour the time it takes to build most factories mid game you can get those 360 right tip number four consolidate consolidate if you don't know what that word means it means to bring things together it means like essentially just bring everything to one place now if you noticed earlier uh flashback to earlier if you look up here there's a warehouse up here big Warehouse if you've ever seen my channel you know that I built this Warehouse not actually that long ago probably when I was I don't know 100 hours into the game maybe I don't even I don't even know if it was that 110 took me like I don't know 2 hours to build on a weekend weekend night this place like look at this oh all of the resources all the parts if I list Parts all the parts that actually matter man I'm kind of stupid all the parts that actually matter like iron ingots you turn those into things like iron plates and rods copper ingots same thing wire cable concrete screw reinforced iron plates biomass and biofuel I have a separate area for um alien protein you can't really like Farm those like copper sheets rotors modular frames smart plating we have a factory for but I'm not using us it just anything that I would need in day-to-day stuff is all Consolidated right here so an example of something we haven't Consolidated is like those those power shards that I talked about earlier a reason being like they're not renewable or we don't have much production of them or the factory is just simply too far away like in an early game if the factory is too far away that means that you literally like you just can't drive to it cuz you get trucks and truck stations but like those are expensive unless you have a modular frame Factor you could make a bunch of them and I guess just transport everything there but for now I just have trains trains that come here like that one let me head to the balcony region real quick like this one just stops by unloads all of its cargo goes get goes and gets more and all of it's sorted I would recommend getting cerium before you consolidate or you could just have separate conveyor lines going everywhere these are all programmable Splitters just to have an overflow on them but you could use Smart Splitters um yeah that's kind of that's kind of it what else um like something we have Consolidated supercomputers uh computers literally any of these all these are Consolidated to be right here it's great it's so good just stored here and it's awesome tip number five if you can make something more efficient SL quicker to build do it capital all capitals do it 100% do it not only is it nice to know your factories are perfectly efficient like I have the knowledge that these all of these factories or at least the ones I built I don't know about Caleb's and Jacobs all of my factories that I've built are perfectly efficient what does that mean how do you get perfectly efficient well we look at an output all these are 100% all these are 100% like all of them are 100 the output what I'm trying to make what is being shipped off is wire and I want all of that to be 100% for rods all laser making at 100% you can check all of them 100% that's the beauty and plus it's just so much more satisfying you know if your factories are perfect perfect LLY efficient look at this motor Factory 250% and I mean it's not getting enough rotors but that's fine obviously obviously that's fine look at these 100% 100% 100% anything that is underclocked is only underclocked because it would make too much normally all these are 100% see what I mean it's nice knowing that you have enough of everything it's nice knowing that you have enough it's like plus it's just nice having a bunch of resources it's just nice right like even if it means going out and getting a power slug that's okay because it's worth it even eventually one day you might need an insane amount of resource for something and having that extra oomph in your Machinery might help you with that this also applies to railroads and highways the amount of times I've thought to myself it would have been nice if I made a good-looking Railway and Highway in the first place I can't believe the old steel like um I could literally go over here and just show you an example literally the amount of times I have thought about it and been like wow I wish my Railway was more efficient or wow I wish my Railway I don't know looked better the amount of times I've thought about that to myself is insane like the amount of times I like cursed my old self for having terrible looking Railways is crazy if you look ahead well first off look at these Railways come on like there there's no support they're just floating that's one thing and I'm just too procrastinative to like I don't even know if that's but that's that like look at this this Railway right here it's totally unfinished I didn't even like add the extra foundations like do this blah blah blah I didn't do that that's like I'm just I just procrastinate too much so just finish it early if you know you're going to procrastinate and then you get Railways that look nice like the ones over at the Hub and that kind of stuff like I mean these Railways look decent now but originally they looked like those ones over there and just it was just so disorganized actually originally they looked like these ones they were just strewn across the landscape just kind of thrown there and I fixed them well uh Mo most of them that one actually does not serve a purpose okay last tip tip number six automate everything all of it automate all of it if you can tell like our newest part actually is nuclear stuff but I've automated that if you look at our power grid it didn't used to look like it but um you look at our power grid it's insane like there in what world would I need to ever have as much power none literally none I would never need this much power um on the grid and if I can find a system this is a light control panel but here let me go find a power pole here I found one so like I make way more power than I need to and that's because it's all automated right like biomass burners are not automated guys you can't you can automate biomass but you can't automate the burning look at how much production we make Max consumption is 17 GW Max production is like a lot is that much which is an insane amount that is so much almost 21 gaw crazy the reason why Milestones exist is to is to essentially prep you what's for for what's next if you go into seal if you go into like tiers like three and four I think they are thinking that you can just grind out the parts and be fine and oh I can just pick up some ingots and blah blah blah no you you can't the reason why Milestones have these resources that I need like these fused modular frames or these super computers or these steel pipes is because I need them I need them to build things like if we look at tier five or uh let's go something better tier six monal train technology steel beams steel pipes we look at trains train tracks made of steel steel beam steel pipes if we look at um what else let's look at the the other stuff in that category computers heavy modular frames wow that's weird they use computers and heavy modular frames heavy modular frames computers heavy modular frames it all prepares you like it's it's all preparing you for what comes next steel pipes wow that's crazy steel pipes um concrete stuff like that you don't need concrete for it but you get my point my point is there's a reason why Milestones exist and it's to prep you for what's next um what else uh yeah if you don't do them you're going to be stuck grinding forever and the grinds progressively get way way longer like I'm not even joking like it takes to build a super computer let's say I wanted to 24 hits 24 I'd be sitting here forever like doing that it's crazy Plus on top of that if you're going to grind there's no point because the automation goes forever like look I'm not even I'm literally hands off my keyboard right now and everything is being made everything's being Consolidated all of it it's all automated stuff like rotors that stuff is not like that is a lot of hammer hits to get done okay for rotors it's not too bad but stuff like it like let's look up rotors rotor like it's six hits per which is quite a it but that's that's why you do Automation and it just like like While You're Building other factories too all these factories are doing things while I'm just having fun all these factories are building stuff for me so I can get these these phase 4 like or so I can get these Milestone done I can get this done I I can put supercomputers and steel pipes in it but I don't have a factory for these yet so I need to go make one and while I'm doing that I have the stuff and and literally all it costs to automate something is to have something else automated usually I think like once you get uh past rotors it gets a lot easier because uh if you look at our production Constructors are made with reinforced plates and cable these are made with rotors reinforced plates cable the these you don't get to till later but these two like just automate you automate this stuff 20 10 and 10 per is crazy that's a lot so just automate it you'll thank yourself I'll thank you and make your factories look good please uh for that that's probably it for this video thank you so much for watching and uh guess
