well good morning and praise the Lord this is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice let us be glad in it we're still recording and sending out a word from Church of Christ Christian ministries and 14-16 Wilson wrote and we hope that you'll be privileged to be at your device listening in before we go in and further let us have a word of Prayer he turned God our Father we come to you now with about the ensign and humbled hearts and and through it all we come in the spirit of Thanksgiving Lord so many of my classmates had been praying for one another and I've seen the blessings of God across these United States I've seen individuals going through all kind of trials and tribulations but through it all we've learned to trust in Jesus and we learn to trust in God Road West that you bless these words today that we say that they will be a blessing to every individual that here and that there be able to respond accordingly Zomba servers prayer in the name of Jesus Christ we pray [Music] [Music] [Music] praise the Lord you've been listening to our praise team then we call them a piece of joy not just calling great and God has blessed us with a great music ministry here at 1416 Wilson Road when we put all this stuff behind we'd like to invite you to come back and be a part of our morning worship we believe in worshiping according to the Word of God the Bible says that they who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth this morning as expeditiously as the Holy Spirit will allow I'd like to talk to you about the body of Christ and working together to the glory of God and the building of the kingdom just this week we went to Bible study class we also did online and we dealt with the first Corinthian the very first chapter in that very first chapter in verse 10 it gives me some instructions as a minister and as a pastor and a child of God he said now I beseech you brethren to let there be no divisions among you anyone known to say that he wants us to speak the same thing and be at the same judgment brothers and sisters what are we talking about what is it that we fight about so much why do we have so many denominational problems and individuals that want to choose size and who's right and who's wrong and who's going to heaven and not I believe according to the 10th chapter of Romans we not to say who shall ascend into heaven who shall do sin what I do know is the Jesus came that we might have life and that we might have it more abundantly I may not stop the fighting among us I may not stop us from debating on certain issues but I do want you to know one thing I am determined to know nothing among you say Jesus Christ and him crucified the Apostle Paul was that a place called Marcy Ellen while he was on the mountain our own in that place called marks Hill the Bible says that the people came continually to to hear and to tell some new things well I'd like to refer to King Solomon Solomon said is nothing new Under the Sun everything you come up with to 2020 somebody's already to come up with it I started to tell one of those stories about and my young daughters was at home anybody that knocked on the door I tell them to tell me you better be careful because everything you think up I've already done but anyway that's not the story this morning the story is that there be no division among us that we speak the same thing well how hard is it for us to speak the same thing well if we try to go through all of the historical events and all of the theological concepts and hermeneutics and history and prophecy and all those things we will have a hard time speaking the same thing I used to follow some prophetic ministries that today everything they said is contrary to what I believe but that's one of those situations where you study and you study the Bible says to show thyself approved unto God a workman that need not be ashamed so if I want to find something that I can say and not be ashamed of what I'm saying I'm gonna preach Jesus and him crucified gonna go back to Marcy over with Paul both on Marcia and he heard a man pray to the unknown the tomb of the unknown God Paul didn't start a debate he didn't start a war he didn't even talk about it he just went on and then the next time we hear from the Apostle Paul Paul said I am determined to know nothing among you save Christ and him crucified I stand on that this morning I am determined to know nothing among you save Christ and him crucified I will tell you that that man Jesus came through forty and two generations suffered bled and died the under own cavalry so that you and I would have a right to eternal life it is Jesus that paid the debt of my sin the Bible says that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life the gift that we had was wrapped in human flesh and we'll go back to John 1 and 1 when it says in the beginning with the word the Word was God and the Word was with God the same all things were created by him and without him was not anything made that was made verse 14 says the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us as the only begotten Son of the Father who are you talking about preaching I'm talking about Jesus talking about the Son of God and that same son of God declared himself to be the great I am what did Jesus mean when he said I am what did Jesus mean when he said before Abraham was I am well there was a group of Israelites Hebrew people who declared we are of Abraham see and Jesus understood that what they were saying is if they were of Abraham they wasn't following about it so Jesus just politely told them before Abraham was I am is that great I am when Jesus used the phrase I am he made it the specific revelation regarding his identity and his nature see when he said I am the Jews that was listening was already offended because when he said I am that gave them the indication that he believed that he was God whether he said it or not these revelations made it clear that all that he was claiming to be was much more than a rabbi much more than a teacher much more than a prophet much more than an ordinary man Jesus claimed to be the Messiah God in human form and not God said he would come and he would redeem his people he did he said a body is prepared for me that body was prepared and he used that body to be born in Bethlehem of Judaea can I tell you some of the Iams of Jesus Christ I don't want to get too far off of speaking the same thing but Jesus said I am the bread of life whoever comes to me shall not hunger oh why don't we deviate so far from what the Lord says when he said he's the bread of life he also said that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of his mouth he said I am the light of the world whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of Life moving on he said I'm the door if anyone enters by me he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture can you find Jesus standing at the door he said behold I stand at the door not if any man's opens unto me I'll come in and sup with him and he with me well I'm telling you that he is who he said he is when Moses went to the bush the burning bush he said what God shall I sent me he said tell him that I am and when he said I am I believe it it he was saying I'm whomever I'd care to be I'm whatever I care to be Moses you go down into Egypt like I told you because I'm gonna be whatever you need whenever you need it let's look at another one when Lazarus a friend of Jesus had been sick for a long time and somebody said that the disciples came to Jesus said Jesus your friend Lazarus is sick Jesus gets kept right on preaching and he was preaching the kingdom of heaven is at hand finally they talk to Jesus again and said your friend Lazarus was sick he said Lazarus is leap so certainly if a man sleep it's he's he's doing alright sometimes when you get my age you toss and turn all night you get thinking about this and that things and stuff him and her all kind of stuff you can't sleep but yeah the disciples said if he sleeping he'd do it good Jesus didn't want them to be confused they said Lazarus is dead well I could take off right there and tell you that all around this world today it's dead men walking there did because they don't have the light of life in them they don't have the relationship with Jesus Christ so they did Jesus continued his mission and then he went on down to Bethany where Lazarus dead Mary and Martha was there that came to him and said Jesus if you had been here our brother would not have died and Jesus said did you not know that I am the resurrection and the life whosoever believeth in me though he die yet shall he live can I drop this in your spirit right now with everybody been of like Sam Cooke's they're afraid of living and afraid to die well listen don't be that way because the guy that I serve is the god of the living and the dead it is in him that we move that we live and that we have our very being he is everything we need that whenever we need it how do I know he said I am the way the truth and the life no man comes to the Father but by me everybody's trying to find another way to get to God I don't care you can you can fast you can pray you can try to keep the laws of Moses you can try to do all of those different things but the Bible says no man cometh unto me except that comes into the Father except through him you gotta come by Jesus Christ he said I am The True Vine and my father is the husbandman we find Jesus as one who satisfies he is the bread of life he's one who gives life gives a life because he is the light of men one who offers salvation because he is the door one who dies for us because he's a Good Shepherd the resurrection and the life the way the truth and life and the truth a real legitimate God is in Jesus Christ because he wrapped himself in human flesh and walked among us he is not only a God he is the guide somebody needs to stop trying to make him subservient he is not subservient even though he came to be a servant he's not subservient to any body now when this man Jesus came and walked the earth he came so that we would understand the freedom that we have in Christ Jesus see the Bible says that the law is unto death the soul that sins shall surely die and this rayul wanted to know it Lord how can we know how to refrain from sin and he gave Moses 10 and Moses brought the Ten Commandments to Israel and all of them was willing to say we'll keep those Commandments yes we will we'll do whatever it is that you say a Duke but before you could as my grandma say shake a stick at him they was doing their own thing they were doing what they wanted to do not only that would they embrace the other guy they took upon themselves to worship other gods that same guy told Moses to bring them up out of Egypt that same God allowed him to wander in the wilderness for forty years that same God fed them with manna from on high well let me tell you something that's the God who is Jesus Christ he's the same today yesterday and forever he is the word of life now there's a lot of ideas about how can Jesus be the word and God well the Word was with God the word was when God spoke the world into existence it was the word that made everything what it is so we're moving toward the conclusion of the whole matter the conclusion is that same Jesus that one day stepped on a cloud and went to the right hand of the Father he told him let not your hearts be troubled believe in God believe also in me he said in my father's house there are many mansions and if it weren't so I would have told you said I go and I prepare a place for you and if I go I'll come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there you may be also now this is a promise that Jesus made to his disciples that believed now here's the problem many individuals don't believe if you don't believe you know get the benefits before Jesus came and there was two types of people on the earth Jews and Gentiles the Jews were the people of God the Gentiles were the people that were not of God so broke Wallace don't you know there were Egyptians and Ethiopians and Emirates and ginger sites and this site and that site and every other come I well let me tell you you had two sets of people God's chosen people he chose through Abraham and the rest of the world but then Jesus came and he went to his own Bible said he came to his own but his own received him not he came to the Israelites he came to the Jews did you know that this salvation that we preached every day is from the Jews God used the Jews to preserve the lineage of Jesus Christ that's why he was born out of the tribe of Judah that's another lesson for another time but he yeah because of Israel God brought Jesus through that nation and so therefore he gave them the first opportunity for salvation and that salvation was receiving Jesus Christ but they refused him they refused him as the Messiah they refused him as being the only true God you know I've been impressed sometimes by a new movement of people with the Hebrew movement going back to the Hebrew language and only speaking Hebrew language well the whole Bible is not written in Hebrew so I don't believe that I have to go to the Hebrew language to talk about the name of God but I do believe the God is God and besides him there in another I don't know how the translation came about to get Jesus but I I believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God when Jesus came to the coast of suffering in Philippi he began to say who do man think that I the son of man in some city was delighted sunset he was Jeremiah other said he's one of the prophets Jesus sail did you say I am Peter said thou art the Christ the Son of the Living God what are you saying you are the Messiah you are the one who saves so I understand that Jesus Saves I know he does because I'm saved in him Christians I have a certain Liberty in Christ Jesus and that is the fact that we are saved by grace what is grace grace is God's unmerited favor toward that I didn't get saved because I was good enough I didn't get saved because I was smart enough see that's why people try to make me keep the law and eat the right food so that I can save myself but I tell you that that's not going to happen salvation is in Jesus Christ and him alone he's saved me in spite of me cuz it said that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us when he died on Calvary he opened the gate for me to come into the body of Christ Christians are freed from the power of sin what are you talking about the power of sin the Bible says the soul that sins shall surely die but Jesus took that death out of the way because when he comes back he's coming back so those who believe in him I said before Jesus died on the cross there were two groups of people it was the Hebrew the seed of Abraham and there was the Gentiles I want you to note it's only two sets still here that's believers and unbelievers if you believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God if you believe he died yonder and kept on and in Jerusalem if you believe that he lain in a borrowed tomb and rose on the third day if you believe he rose victorious over death and sin if you believe that then you my brother and sister in Christ now there may be something we disagree about you know my mother had eight kids I think she had eight kids in ten years and some of us always we'd get along real good but what we can have some fights then nobody knows what's going to happen until the fight is over well let me tell you dance and there's gonna be some opportunities even in this family of God on some things that we don't agree about some people don't agree with having music some people don't agree with having any form of instrument but as long as I got King Jesus long as I know that I can pass from death to life because I love the Brethren I'm gonna have my salvation you understand that the sin that separates man from God was taken out of the way that day when Jesus died on that cross sin separates man from God we can pray and we can pray but the prayers won't get through because of sin but when you become a believer when you become one that believes that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God your prayers will get through any barrier reach the ears of Jesus and he'll say come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest if you won't rest from your life from your struggle and you want to understand what it means to really have a true survive you need to come to Jesus because in him there is rest rest for our weary Souls and I'll tell you that when we enter into his rest it's a holy thing Bible say remember to the Sabbath and keep it holy Jesus died he said for us to be holy be therefore holy even as I am holy brother and sisters I think I'm run out of time I think I could go on on this subject but I do want you to know if there's opportunities for us to break the bread of life and share some things that are controversial some things that are not controversial so if you when you see this on Facebook and YouTube like if you will and comment if you have any question put those questions down and I promise you that I will answer your questions as expeditiously and as close to the Bible as I possibly can what I won't do is try to fool you into thinking that I'm the only one that's right I know everything but what I do know is Jesus he is the one down south all through my life I said you can't make me daddy you can't make me doubt him you can't make me doubt him in my soul oh you can't make me down him cuz I know too much about him if you know him can't nobody make you down believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be safe god bless
