5+1 MUST HAVE Twitch Extensions 💎 Create a unique channel (2021)

in today's video i'm going to take you through some of the twitch extensions that i currently use why i use them to help give you a better sense of why you should start using twitch extensions for your channel ultimately the goal of this video is to remind you and encourage you to create a unique and personal experience for your viewers every single time they tune in with that being said let's get into it so what are twitch extensions anyway well twitch extensions are essentially third-party developed integrations that can be anything from an overlay or a panel that help your viewers know more about you or interact with each other while you're live streaming they can be things like stat trackers for the games that you're playing or leaderboards to show and highlight the top supporters for your channel now there's a lot more extensions out there that can do a ton of different things so let's take a look at the creator dashboard and see what twitch has to offer when it comes to extensions once you've logged into your twitch account and you go to your creator dashboard you're going to be able to explore some of the extensions that twitch offers at the top they'll have a featured game integration section as well as a discover extension section which allows you to explore all of the extensions that are offered through twitch for example extensions for games are going to be your trackers your scheduling countdowns are going to be panels that you can add to your bio to tell your viewers when you're going to be live loyalty and recognition is going to highlight your top supporters streamer tools are going to be ways for you to increase the quality of your stream viewer engagement extensions are going to be ways for your viewers to engage uniquely with you and then if you go to the right here you're going to be able to see that there's music integrations as well as polling and voting and also games in extensions which are essentially mini games for your viewers to play with each other or with you as the streamer when you find a category that interests you simply click on the view all section you can explore all of the extensions within that category for example this is the schedule and countdowns category and i actually have this integration right here the stream labs stream schedule now when i click on this it's going to give me an example of what this extension looks like this is actually a panel that goes in your bio and then a brief description of what that extension is to install it you would click here to click install i actually have it installed already and then you can configure it by going here once i've completed all of the settings for this extension i click save settings and then that extension is now going to be a part of the my extensions section here now in order to have these active you actually have to activate them here and you can have up to three different panels as well as two different components for your stream now i have the streamlabs stream schedule and countdown extension active as panel one so when i go to my channel or when your viewers go to your channel under your about section you're gonna see that extension displayed now let me minimize this so you can see it a little bit more clearly and here's the extension right here it's a creative way to let your viewers know the next time you're going to be live that's basically how to explore the extensions that are there again there's a variety of them and i showed you an example of one of the extensions that i've added with the stream schedule but let me show you a couple of the other extensions that i currently have installed just to give you another idea of what's out there one of the other panels that i've added to my bio is the stream elements leaderboard and this extension is great if you want to highlight your top supporters in your community when you go back to the extension section under discovery if you type in stream elements you're going to see the leaderboard right here now again this is going to show you exactly what this will look like if you want to configure this leaderboard in particular you can select all of the different panels that you want to have highlighted on that leaderboard such as your channel points mine are called buddies cheers subs chat stats store items countdown and locations so whatever you select here is going to be reflected in that extension within your bio now the nice thing about this particular extension is that it is interactive so your viewers can actually select the filter that they want to see the leaderboard differently and they can select cheers or subs and these categories change depending on how you've edited the extension another extension that you're going to see that i've added as a panel is my twitter feed here and i really like having this implemented because it gives my viewers a sense of what i'm saying and some of my thoughts when i'm off stream uh to keep them connected when i'm not live again under the extension section you'll simply type in twitter under the search bar you'll see the extension listed right here and then when you go to configure and add this all you're doing is simply connecting your twitter account with this extension back at our profile we can see the extension here and again this is a nice extension because it is interactive where your viewers can actually scroll through your feed and they can go directly to your twitter account by clicking your name another great extension to consider adding once you've achieved affiliate or partnership status with twitch is under the loyalty and recognition category the extension prime subscription and loot reminder allows your viewers to see an alert on your stream to remind them that they can redeem their twitch prime sub to support you for free setting up this extension is extremely easy you simply click on configure and they give you a step-by-step instruction on how to add this as an overlay to your stream the sound alerts extension is a really cool extension that allows your viewers to redeem bits to play sounds on your stream now this requires just a little bit more setup but it might be a really cool way to engage your viewers depending on the kind of content you're trying to produce since we're on the topic of giving your viewers the opportunity to support you and create content alongside you let's talk about the extension stream avatars now i just recently installed this particular extension and i haven't implemented it yet within a live stream but i'm really excited to see how this creates engagement with my community essentially stream avatars allows your viewers to create their own custom avatar that they can interact with live while you're streaming or just chatting and it'll show up on the bottom of an overlay that you add to your streaming software the streamer also has the choice of what type of viewer they want to have as an avatar on their overlay so you can set it to subscribers only moderators or followers and this is a great way to engage your community to give you an idea of what this looks like in real time let's add it right now and there they are our avatars ultimately this is a really fun and creative way to engage your channel and there's tons of downloads that you can add to stream avatars to get different types of avatars for your stream to use now those are just a few of the extensions that are available through twitch but i highly recommend going back and exploring all of the awesome extensions that are available in utilizing them to really personalize the experience for your community every time you stream i've said this before and i'll say it again it's extremely important to understand how much uniqueness is built in as a mechanism for growth for your channel explore the extensions find the ones that make sense for you and start using them that's it for this video you
