Shaq's stats get better every time he complains about Nash beating him out.

Starts at 39:21 if it didn't get linked properly.

Nearly pissed myself when he moved onto the hack-a-shaq and Nick Anderson.

[Music] Denis launches [Applause] and we welcome you to open court here on NBA TV and today we're going to be turning back the clock to some extent as we as we name the starting five s by decade the 60s the 70s the 80s the 90s and the 2000 to 2009 here's the esteemed panel that we have gathered for this and when I introduce you please give me the year of your birth brent Barry hi Ernie how are you 1971 1971 Isiah Thomas 1961 ooh okay so we have someone here who's going to be all over the the decade of the 15 1963 D when were you born 1968 okay so you damn you old six-year go get to that diagnosis right Grant Hill you're still a puppy hook what you're and you're born nineteen seventy two seventy two Reggie is a 65-69 a and Steve Smith 69 69 and Shaquille O'Neal I don't know my birthday because mother found me on the train found me in a three six and she found all night boy 72 probably a big old baby she found him in between cars by the way the footwear today on Shaq is just that is awesome different different he's got back from Madagascar what are those those are Tom's yeah but way do good work all this times right we really are the work so I bought a hundred pair yeah hundred pair of leopard print it when you do that when you're looking at me I really okay so we're going to start with the 1960s and and we want the starting five for the decade of the 1960's so I'll just I'll kind of spark the conversation we're going to go position by position but maybe you can tell me Isaiah as a child of the 60s do you remember who was the first guy you kind of idolized her watched in the 60s and that possibly paid the point guard position that you said hey it's that's the guy well it was kuzey it had to be kuzey we and it's interesting the 60s the Celtics was really one of the first teams to integrate so everyone in my family in around you know the community we were Celtics fans because they had all the brothers and you know my father and my mother was like hey you got a root for the Celtics because you know you know they breaking down racial barriers and everything else and even though we were in Chicago the Celtics were the team they told us to root for and so when we went outside and played basketball and you ran a fast-break they would call it a Boston hmm and and also we rooted for the st. Louis Cardinals in baseball because of Bob Gibson well so those were those were the two teams that we that we rooted for so some good stories from ocuzi was that exclusi was the guy at the at the point guard position at that time where was Oscar Robertson I go say I didn't see him play but for my family it was always Oscar Robinson yeah Oscar Robinson so I would take Oscar at the point you know when you talk about Oscar Robertson I was on a panel with Oscar Robertson and Jerry West in Los Angeles and to hear Jerry West and to see Jerry West talk about Oscar Robertson and and I never forget he moved up and he was like he like I I know I'm the logo and everything else he said but in my era there was no better basketball player then Oscar Rockman Oscar was sitting right there but and and you know Oscar sit you right you to that point we applaud LeBron James all these guys getting triple doubles and you look back then with Oscar how average the tripled up for whole season with all the technology we have today they didn't have the ankles the MRI all the stuff we have now they didn't have back then in Oscar Robertson was consistent for a whole season that way well this was funny too because I mean period of time I was getting a lot of triple-doubles and I saw him in 97 in Cleveland where they had the 50 greatest players and they honor the man and he said young fella you know what you're doing is impressive you know but I did it the whole season if you look at Oscars numbers if you take his first five years playing for Cincinnati over his first five seasons of his professional career he averaged a triple-double five ca1 season statistically did it but yeah if you averaged the first five seasons he did it and in this is in the 60s he averaged let's see twenty nine ten assists and eight point five rebounds in the decade of the 60s check if you had if you had to name the starting center for that 60s team and you're looking at Russell and Chamberlain and Bellamy Willis Reed was playing for the Knicks back in the back in the 60s well will Chamberlain was indeed the most common to play ever but you know I was taught you know from guys like Isiah and guys like Mike that it's all about the championships so you know Bill Russell has 11 championship that will never ever be matched again I think the closest to that is Mike with six so I probably have to go with Bill Russell on that we cannot throw out what hmm will is will I mean obviously didn't win championships but I'm with Shaq you you go at winners because Bill Russell won so much but when you start saying which would you start a team with it's hard to go against the big difference yeah it's hard to go against them so who would we who would we take for our point guard for the 60s Oscar Robertson who we go with our to guard Sam Jones Jerry West elgranjerry Western or Twitter logo oh yeah yeah yeah well sure I know Jerry for sure small forward Elgin L chose a tailor Elgin buckets and and while we're doing our starting five probably we have the best six men would be half John Havlicek power forwards I'm Russell to power for it and making will reg inner you we're on the same page because I also aqua will chain with an a5 of the decade yeah so I'm going with my best five my best position I best fight the rules as you go hold your best five of the decade my best five of that decade or Oscar Jerry will Elgin and Russ okay that's fine that's why you can and we'll all fly on one plane when we leave here you can fly on your own you can't you can a row you can't take beautimous a you my pal tell him that okay go to shag ride a sag of a move you too powerful do not just send or no if you don't move if you don't move Russ to the for then who's your power forward I got to go big bub I've had it baby yeah Bob now petty oh yeah alright so we've got an Oscar Robertson Jerry West Elgin Baylor Bob Pettit under Reggie rules though I might have bill at the point oh you know edit others will win best PC with y'all far my best girl at the point guard Busey if we're not using the Reggie rule who's your center is it wilt or is it bill I gotta go big bill give me give me give me bill here one two three four last four and a half here's the only way I can settle that our Center for the 60s is Bill Chamberlin to talk about the 1970s as open court continued Pete Maravich bounce it here bouncing behind him fake the pass and you as a defender with jump and he turned back around catch the ball shoot though that was a hell of a move and I was like okay I gotta try it you [Music] opencore previews the 2015-2016 season I think the East will be better this year whose their identity come playoff time reading in the NBA Finals this year will be don't miss open court Tuesday at 7 p.m. Eastern on NBA TV [Music] we welcome you back to open court and we move on to the 70s as we named the starting fives for a number of decades here on this show starting fives our best five we know best five few but starting five photos already clarified Ernie Ernie who writes like to clarify deficit yeah I can try again we're doing the starting five Reggie is saying his best five look you have a clicker see this you don't have to but I would encourage you to stick around it is going to be fun we may not be able to agree on anything but this but that's half the fun so among the point guards you might see in the seventies you might see Clyde Frazier you might see tiny Archibald shooting guards you might see Pete Maravich Jerry West ice ice man small forwards like Rick Barry Julius John Havlicek power forwards like Bob McAdoo Billy coming it centers like Kareem Elvin Hayes Bill Walton Bob Lanier just some of those guys just some of the guys to consider but I mean this is what makes water cooler talk you know great if people still have water coolers at work I don't know but Ritchie what is your initial gut telling you about about this team of the 70s out of all the decades to me this was the hardest because you just mentioned like 9 or 10 guys and I had a list of 16 or 17 and what gets lost in the translation is that was at the time when there was a transition because obviously the NBA was just getting ready to to kind of evolve but you also had the ABA and they get lost in the shuffle here so I have some a v8 players on my team so not only does it not have to be a starting fight and I'll tell you the only one that would have all right as well as bone talk to me well you got I got dr. J who played him both from the ABA as well as the NBA in the 70s I got the biggie Elvin Hayes right in the middle I have Kareem mm-hmm and then this is a healthy debate guys all right here we go I was shudder when is it that way this was the best player never to play in the NBA I got Roger brown and a lot of you guys don't know probably who Roger Brown is but you know who Rose I don't know one of the best players ever and the other one this was a little bit of a Homer but the big hand guy Mel Daniels who was an absolute beast for those ABA Indiana Pacers that was my best five Smitty you have this very it's like you're pondering this and taking it all in like an offense to read that he said I don't know any brick would know because his dad played in the a Mel Daniels went to my high school okay okay you were there what the rapper he did they did you went to his life but I'm glad with reg did to talk about the ABA I mean I grew up with George Gervin Spencer Haywood and those guys talking about the ABA and Mel Daniel so I totally agree with Mel Daniels cuz all the I didn't see him play but everybody from my neighborhood my brother and my dad talked about how Mel Daniels I didn't see Roger brown but people talk about Mel Daniels being one of those guys that were specially for me my list obviously doesn't have Mel Daniels because I thought we were going to NBA I'm glad you did that rich because those guys get forgotten mine is tiny and George Gervin after two by far from the gear from the east side of Detroit got a chance to go follow him around and be his ball boy a lot of times in the Detroit round ball classics that's my to guard for sure and then you have dr. J and Kareem abdul-jabbar and Elvin Hayes how about how about this guy Rick Barry huh you know him well this this all decades thing kind of suck for me because if I don't say em I'm in big trouble none of you have that dilemma I just wanted to mention a couple of things because I like to dive into the subject the 70s were massively chaotic for the NBA Reggie obviously mentioned the ABA after 9 seasons it folded in 1976 so then you had the merger of what it was that the ABA I think ultimately by folding the ABA succeeded because it introduced to the NBA what it needed this was no longer just the Celtics everybody thought of the NBA as crap it's the Celtics or it's whoever Wilt Chamberlain is playing for and then all of a sudden now you go from 14 teams to 22 teams you have incredible parity they were there are eight champions in the 70s nobody won back-to-back so it was complete chaos in the 70s but there was great play in both leagues that should be recognized and my listed and I just did NBA only Walt Frazier at the point guard position of course tiny Archibald everybody talks about that year of leading the league in both points and assists which was remarkable but Frazier was incredible for the Knicks during that whole span at the two guard I had john havelcheck people think a havelcheck in the 60s but really in the 70s john havelcheck was second in points in the death sorry third in points in the decade and second in rebounds in the 1970s at the shooting guard position a lot of those minutes as we know coming as a six-man small forward Bob McAdoo got some serious consideration his years in Buffalo as a scorer were just remarkable so sorry dad and what Julius was meant to both league was incredible Elvin Hayes at the four spot just a remarkable player and then lastly Kareem dominated the center position both in Milwaukee and when he went to the Los Angeles Lakers so those would be my five only thing I disagree with his tiny Archibald at the point guard position I know for that one year Brent talked about but for the younger generation it shows you that you can score the basketball but you can also share and get other people involved and I think that was good for the game for this next can't go wrong with either guy yeah at the end today I would like to put pistol pistol pete at 2 because for me he was the first no offense brent he was the first white guy with styling a flair that I've seen so why would I take offense these buddies are use my skin no but my question phenol is what's in the first white gotta have the thrashing style and between the legs and behind the back I mean cuz my every move was the move he did the Jerry West Pete Maravich he would take the basketball right and he would fake the pass he would bounce it here bounce it behind him fake the pass and you as a defender would jump and he turned back around catch the ball and shoot though that was a hell of a move and I was like ok I gotta try it the way I tried it in the game the Steve co2 stole so have we answered some questions on the 70s are we done with the 70 yeah where did you believe me yeah we will move on to the eighties when we come back around open court Ernie's my wife like thing like it became the popular sport in the United States in the 80s because of Bird and Magic and those guys in Isaiah to me it's still the greatest decade of basketball [Music] Michael in the file line a shot on Ehlo [Music] all right back here on open court and we move in this discussion of the best five sometimes starting five sometimes best five overall sometimes NBA sometimes ABA it's a wide-ranging conversation that we go to the 80s and now it starts to get interesting because now we get into areas where you played against guys and well I don't even need to show you lists of things I can just say it was the best point guard of the 1980s Isaiah come on honestly honestly I will have to save Magic Johnson I believe I was the second best point guard of that era but magic Johnson was the best point guard in my opinion to ever play and my five if you want to fire the courses so I'm going magic at the one Jordan at the two Bird J dr. J at three and four and Kareem abdul-jabbar at the five those are my five players of the eighties hmm 3d houses so how does that sound yeah yeah go ahead giving it but you don't get does this one say give what I was better than magic I know that Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas I don't think on this panel that anybody's gonna have anybody else to really discuss when we are talking about the best of that decade but for you I say who are guys just quick off the top of your head that you compete against at the point guard that you felt you guys were so great they just didn't get there just do I would say in in the 80s for for a short period of time Alex I thought Mark Price had a run in this league for about two years or so that was just about as good as anybody you've definitely mo cheeks Gus Williams I have one tiny Archibald with still in general ed is a dentist you know and but but saying all that saying all that there was if none of them were like magic right not none of us or you none of us were like magic and the reason why I say that is because in the 80s I thought we came in and we had original styles you know we brought our originality to the game magic came in and it was like something we had never seen that's right I thought when I came in the way I was playing the point guard and the way I was dribbling and it was it was a different style that the game had hadn't seen before dr. J was an original you know Kareem was an original so it's like to me when you when you look at the 80s and I and I look at Jordan like it was like when he walked in it was like oh okay I remember when we first played against him it was the Olympic um oh yeah don't live for in Phoenix and they was doing it the the the pros coming to play against uh there was no limpio mm-hmm and I remember coach and I say uh because I was coaching him he said this was a little different it's a little different now and so you know in Phoenix it was hot in the summer and you know you you watch guys Duncan and everything but he had a different kind of Bounce you know jumping and dunking and I was like okay all right all right that's kind of nice that's kind of nice and then the game started and this dude was so fast and so quick he was like hoho 19:13 show coach some curse words are necessary that's when television in the basketball really kergoff you have the Lakers you have the 80s you had the floppy hair of Larry Bird's you have the style and grace and flair of Showtime and magic and then you had Isaiah and his bad boys and before they were the bad boys I mean they were putting up a hundred and thirty five points for him and Kelly trip Yuka and and guys like that John long my bench or so that's when the 80s and for a lot of us okay see let me let me clarify this foot but for the youngsters on the panel your Jordan was a great player in the 80s but they were finishing third and right yeah in the Devere exactly yeah okay so so I know all ya'll watching want to say oh Jordan was doing he was great in the nineteen yes he dominated in the 90s but in the 80s he was out in the first round right in that order for me message message I was the first to me the wild era when you win in each position each guy you said Wow even he got down the Larry Bird who wasn't an athletic Hey oh yeah Wow hey you wanna make this move pump fake and scoring make the move you out have a seat but that was the point that you want position you wild in that era go ahead you know and then that was the time maybe for me and when I fell in love with the game and you know for me you know first of all the four greatest that I ever saw in person were Isaiah magic Michael and bird and as you said Reggie as television merge as these great transcendent players emerged it just was a perfect storm that I think we really owe the success of this league to that time I got a chance to be able to talk touch and play against Isaiah and magic and you talking about debate it back in Michigan who's the better point guard I think that debate went from nationwide and still goes on those were two guys similar built similar places growing up one from inner city in Chicago one from Lansing so for me being right there in Detroit I thought it was right of passage I can walk up ties they asked him a question and he showed me a move right I thought everybody could do that I could walk up to magic and he could teach me how to play I could walk up to George Gervin and almost every recreation center sang to see and they stopped their work out and take a young guy I was very young and I could go play too old to me and magic versus you in Ag wire right right I thought everybody had that no no not knowing but what those two guys did and I think for me obviously is Michael at the - Larry Bird at the three I have Charles at the four and Moses at the five I was going to say we we've been out of rebound yeah you can look at this decade and you can list guys okay who do not make my starting five and say well that's pretty good starting five you're on right there I mean and you bring up charge me think about Kevin McHale you talking about Karl Malone you talk about the late great Moses and let's let's let's enter on the power forward position Moses it's my for Kareem is my five and I got the same as him later just get this change I'll get the changes the best five four or five I'll go a magic Michael Larry Moses cream so the 80s unbelievable decade 90s promises more of the same and I'm sure we'll hear some stories and how it gets tricky pothead ahead with some of the that is who are the best players of the decades the 90s next year on open court what's the deal with Scotty wait man whoa I don't mind Michael Jordan sin but I didn't want idea to be on the dream team but but if Scottie [Music] welcome back to open court we we moved to the 1990s as we while speaking of the 1990s what did you say about Dream Team but I was so it was wrong that Shack and I wasn't on a dream team it was just wrong and I still represent and I still think dream team two could be dream team one and I okay who liked it what did you walk into a 1995 as you came into this league Wow um you know I think I think the league obviously was post Jordan Jordan had sort of retired for the first time and the legends of the 80s who kind of played a little bit into the 90s were retiring as well as eya had just left in Detroit magic a few years earlier bird so the league was sort of maybe in a bit of a transition as Shaquille was emerging you know read virginals I was emerged already was the first pick me was was in transition out and younger guys were emerging as the new stars as a new pillars of the league Shaq although he was already emerged and the interesting thing about about this when we talk about the 90s you guys played against all these guys who are up for consideration in here so 3d who would be who would be your team of the 90s if you had to if you had to limit it to five and now it's your five best or it's five by position and be careful how you answer that number Five's but I mention no brain whom I'll enter it is no brainer just checking power forward put these hands on you call Malone well if I can say this I say home can't really put up an old wound [Music] good hey you've got him in stitches with that comment watching these stitches they go together oh I remember to guard obviously not snitching you got MJ okay and uh my point guard I'm going with John Stockton Oh Lord look I'm good just my powerful start Hey Stockton Jordan I'm alone and Shaq and then my small forward or Dominique Wilkins just to give him some love in the 90s where was it well I know at 90 he was still giving us buckets now it might not be but that's what I'm going with I'm leaving that there in the 90s I would know I wouldn't over down in the 90s I would go and I know dominate something that kill you Here I am Scottie Pippen Scottie good idea and I know I know that I was married for I had a great six years but I think I didn't win and I didn't have you know we're judged as Reggie said earlier to be on post season I didn't have a great success in the 90s and the post season so you know if that's part of the criteria then yes Scott he gets it but head up you know that up numbers grab he'll head up numbers were you know talked about the numbers being very similar and they were except that that you had averaged more points rebounds an assistant he did like a mileages that's it let's say let's acknowledge on the real who who this guy really is sitting here because when Jordan was retiring and Grant Hill was coming into the league we were talking about passing the mantle to Brent yes you you was a so it ain't like you you once got Scottie Pippen character Lee Jordan character Lee we talk about a guy like yourself caring the league so you can't sit there and be like oh you know it's guys don't know what you know it's like you know what dammit it's going forward when I have fishers of you or something what's the deal with Scottie wait a minute we'll see ho ho ho some girl did Michael do you Monty well I can't speak for Michael but uh no I did not okay okay I don't mind Michael Jordan saying but I didn't want eyes there to be on the dream team but I don't mind you know if if Larry Bird said I don't want a zr2 be on the dream team but but if Scotty's bro okay I'm not playing if Isaiah play okay hi Scottie Pippen I'm not playing advise if let me go go to the par 3 do you need to know greedy I need you to get up first get up for a second if you want okay was you an Isaiah who lay down on the car you before how long you been hugging are you feeling better now than and it's come out well you know Ernie I know that's been wild has been on my mind about you know 25 years no like a weight is being lifted off of you well yeah cuz I finally get to talk about it yes you know the whole dream turn you mix piercing again I I got no problems with you know the the greatest player to ever play say you don't want to play with me or magic senator but anybody below them excuse me and I say below these yes your hour is up I'm sorry I'll charge more but I'm glad you feel better that's awesome okay Shake Shack tell me about the 90s I'm gonna go had the fast but I'm gonna go with hakeem olajuwon good for me I'm always coming in and I was emerging slash already emerged only god I can't figure out hidden trick him out and he was the only guy that I couldn't intimidate no the Georgetown boys we all know they're gonna fake laugh and go away rich used to kill me early on too but a fake left go right a fake hard go right give that dumbass brother at the five I agree with Dean Carl Malone at the four spot was a beast that piccolo stocking up in row unstoppable Oh at the three I don't know what the three yet but at the two Mike of course and at the point guard him ago with GP uh only because there's another decade to go which is a really large verbal parachute for me at this point at Center which will be him but in the 90s I would take Hakeem Olajuwon and what it is that he represented at the center position I mean he redefined what it was to be an athlete at that spot in much the way that you know Chamberlain did with his footwork and athleticism use incredible at the four I call him alone and Charles is an awesome debate but I would choose Karl Malone to play the four spot at the small forward I've talked to Grant at length about his career I mean he was absolutely the guy that was going to be what the league was about class could do everything on the court and off the court he was going to be that guy and because of injuries and things that happen because of Scottie Pippen winning championships at the small forward it's it it's hard not to put Scottie Pippen as the best small forward throughout the 90s great two guards in the 90s Reggie Miller Joe Dumars Mitch Richmond Clyde Drexler all behind Michael Jordan with I mean there's just not it's hard to say that but Reggie you deserve all right no I'm not putting myself and then the point guard is a tough one because you're talking about how to play the point guard and guys that could do a little bit of everything in Gary Payton and John Stockton represented the 90s I mean in the this 90s decade in two very very different ways and so it depends on what what kind of style of ball you'd like to play and I played with Gary and Seattle grew up watching him in Oakland at Skyline High School and then on the Oregon State and in his years in Seattle but pick John Stockton who I think is was more capable of doing more things in Utah but because of that system did what it was that needed to be done for Jerry Sloan and Furcal Malone everybody satisfied everybody had their say here on the on the 90s Reggie oh I mean you guys go on my position so I don't know yeah I want the best five there you go and they are caught MJ obviously well let me start by saying special consideration so people don't get upset - Isaiah special consideration - Shaq in special consideration to grant but Charles Karl her keen and he's really not gonna like this David Robinson I mean David Robinson gets overlooked as one of the best centers of all time Reggie thirsty I want you to drink some of this championship swimmer in the entropy David Robinson blammo he was a man he was a load in the 90s Patrick Ewing doesn't get a mention for many he just did just try to be fair deal Leonard hey we're talking about the winners he would probably be the fourth behind David Hakim Shaq not in that order you might be higher you may be lower this is just because like you said we have another decade to go where yes yeah where you can get rewarded one thing I get every decade one thing that we love that thing that we did glean out of that out of that whole thing is Georgetown Hoya you to dumb ass running man like that shot from the game all right we got the mm still to go as we wrap up this edition of for Court we'll be back to do that right after this there's this little good-looking David Beckham little guy run around like a mat just could always beat me out in the MVP voting it's not average in 2815 this without the free-throw he got T I got one Kobe got one something wrong with that picture [Music] we welcome you back to open court we've been talking about the teams by decade and we wrap it up now with the the 2000s through 2009 I guess so with anything 2010 after we don't go there yeah everything good good alright hey who would like to start giving me a 5 from the 2000s big fella I guess you would big fella number 5 I'll put dr. O'Neill gotta go with the coaster ok after three who's that the third him give me some names Ron Ron he Mac yeah liberal oh yeah LeBron up to three up at the four you got to go with mr. Duncan and the point points gonna be hard uh Nash beat me out twice for MVP I still don't know how I'm not Alan okay uh yeah Oh chase Shaq hey kids do you need to get on the couch now - actually I do Doctorow do you know you want to eat don't touch the dog what what seems to be your your overriding concern today what is your issue what would you like to get off your chest it was this little good-looking David Beckham to the guy running around like an AK just passing the ball 1s and doing that he scored every now and then but although he would always beat me out in the MVP voting if I'm averaging 28 15 this without the free-throw do you not feel that Steve Nash deserved the award at all it's not a part of you that says yes Smith Nash deserve the award for following reason maybe once but not twice over the easel twice two times in a row he got - I got one Kobe got one something all of that picture whatever camera you use and throw it away get a new camera anything else you need to get off your chest at this point no I'm just yeah what my mad I was I wasn't on drinking one I'm mad they started the hack of Shaq vs. they don't know how to play the game that issue but I wasn't belong with the gifted Reggie and Isaiah and Dee Scott will bone I wasn't born with the shoot in touch I was born with the door you bitter about that as well am bitter about that I'm mad about I'm mad about one of them I'm mad about Pat Riley's to practice me five hours ahead I'm mad Phil Jackson used to come in with something called sage to smell like weed a maddening Anacin missiles for freedom and now you learn about Nick does anybody about Kimmy walking around thinking he a legend out come on Nick all you got to do is make one make everything a lot there's a lot going on in there and in the citruses the last segment I'm mad Kenny had a little penny comfortable with three on a bench they're like we're getting stretch out Yuda stretch out go ahead stir their little piggy dolls running around the locker room IRA banks fool who's your point guard I kind of go with I'm gonna go a tear because he was fearless he was really like like me my thing was any little guy that came in there I'm a touching my burning we're touching over laying down but he was the only one sighs Gary he's the only one that just kept coming back kept coming back in the year they made it to the finals and got killed by us no you did everything that you did live in here guys give me give me some fives I got a I Kobe I've got Duncan I've got kg we got the big fella hmm got a big fella $10 kg LeBron honorable mention special ole veneration yeah point guard I'm going with Jason Kidd mm-hmm seek I'm gonna go Jason Kidd Kobe over AI I look at AI as a - not a one oh cool um Shaq Duncan Garnett talk about special consideration when we do these luck I Paul Pierce yes oh yeah directly in their care changing the grantee matching yeah thanks Adri Eric snow and will position Oh lay down again put Steve Nash into context here for me in in 2000 what do you have to do besides win two MVPs to get consideration in that in that span you know I played with him along with Shaq and I think I think there's a incorrect me if I'm wrong I think there's this feeling that Nash really took off and became MVP caliber once the rules kind of changed and you know before that there was a physicality to the game and once they took the physicality out you know at 31 32 he had his best years which you really don't you don't hear of and so you know I think people I think people let it go Shaq no no way no Ernie just whatever gonna preface it I have Jason Kidd is mine not my 2000 point guard but I just I feel like I think I've I've heard this from people that they feel that he benefited from the rule change and as a result you know had those really good years the only reason why I'm going with AI I'm taking it back to the playground if Jason Kidd AI Steve Nash and Gary Payton they're all lined up Nash is gonna be the last person selected out of those three that's how I'm gonna look at it there's nothing about his talents I love his talent but I'm going with those other three guys ahead of them we're wrapping things up wish we could go all go around but but I think we've kind of made the point that for but there's some special times in this league and some real some real mileposts in this league that propelled it to the let it go yeah and I think Ernie I think Anthony Davis might be one of those guys yeah Anthony Davis besides the big fella over there Anthony Governor may go over five to ten years being ever ever no wonder we didn't win in Phoenix he's too mad at mad at the point go I said officials out Christmas Day in Phoenix right grant tell somebody I know says named Jason Richardson don't leave Jeannot be opening it there's about 90 by one we did in lovey-dovey niches it up meadow you know we get in a lock on or three is chicken macaroni Turkey I just heard everything nobody even the day nobody lay back down dear Laila this is going to take all day we'll see you next time on open for all rights okay there's also an issue I was magev any eat that night does matter you [Music]
