I followed my dreams and open an antique store to have adventures and spend time as a family sometimes you have to climb a mountain and open some new doors to find the treasures inside this is our life this is our adventure and this is curiosity Inc well good morning again everybody and welcome to another adventure I'm Alex with curiosity Inc if you haven't subscribed make sure to do that as well today's adventures can be pretty cool I am going to harm ox and now this was a museum that was set up in a small town in southern Saskatchewan and they collected all sorts of rare obscure cars vehicles tractors motorcycles you name it signs cool antiques it's a it's an auction that you don't get a chance to go to very often so I have come out this way from my town so it's about a nine-hour drive from my home here but it's going to be well worth it I hope you stay watching the whole thing because we're gonna do a bit of a walkthrough and then we're gonna go to the auction and watch what stuff sells for and hopefully I'll get to bring a couple things home myself so stay tuned and have fun watching [Music] so there is just a pile of cool stuff here if you look behind me there's all sorts of things from washing machines and sewing machines and wagon wheels I mean the list goes on and on so I'm looking for stuff like old advertising signs oil cans stuff that's easy to move because my vans already pretty full right now coming into this and stuff that's hopefully not too heavy so I don't to put too big of a load on the old Volkswagen van but if we're gonna have a good look around and see what there is to see sian topper old stoves now a good majority of us you might look at and think well it looks like junk but certain junk is good junk the farm equipment sign to the right person that we collectible thing so slow down here and have a look oil cans and things now the exciting part is gonna be when I show you the cars because that's what the focus of this museum was so we'll walk over and have a look at the cars in just a couple minutes but we got to scout out some of the smalls first and see if there's anything that we really need a bid on windmill working away it's going up for auction bigger windmill down on the ground there lots of stoves big knotted wood person's gonna make a displays old Coke machine missing part of the coin back on the front wall parts of pumps little Quaker State sign that is an airplane engine with propeller Hoover hydraulic propeller kind of neat dude cash register back over there and I see it I'll zoom in I know over that it's not a candy store style bit so cool big hit and miss engines Fairbanks more cities and gentlemen you're right to the yard they're just viewing today make sure you get yourself a big number in the auction office already got my pin number so I'm good cool pinball black hole look at the back glass is pretty cool on this looks like it rotates Volkswagen project car needs minor TLC I have a friend who's got an old snowmobile he got in an auction like this and it had an Indian motorcycle engine in it so I have to keep my eyes open and make sure there's nothing that was retrofitted that might be extra cool suit I mean by repurposing these are motorcycle wheels that have been attached to a wagon to a rake or wagon so where's the rest of that bike could be a washing machine could be who knows what by now back end of a little bucket little bucket tea to use that on a hot rod build early engine we'll go check in that engine out in a second and I can see there's some good stuff here there was a McLaughlin which was a pretty high-end vehicle back in the day the end of the row sort of stuff but we're gonna get to the good stuff soon looks like maybe a Ford what's left of it first thing get lost we'll do a little walk up here that wasn't McLaughlin Buick that was a nice car I'll see if I can find a stock image and throw it up there so you guys can see what that car would look like if it was all finished normal tea unusual grill I don't recognize this one it's a fairly big car though you guys at home recognize it makeshift we a lot of a gear I guess you do what you got to do you need this thing to roll they just stuck a cog on the end of it there there's a big old steel wheel tractor this set up here and to the pulley like that you'd expect the engine visa in there it's right there it's sideways old Ford truck that's funny somebody had a sense you think it's got a Dodge Ram on it Buicks lots of 70s cars these ones looked fairly complete here on the road last 1980 it says and it makes you wonder how many of these would potentially run to friend in high school used to have a Buick like this big floaty old boat Monarch two-door hardtop now let's do a walk-around yes to our top just a little it's complete I mean it is a fixable car if you'd got the means or ambition to do it that's a complete car this looks like maybe an Anglia 1.17 litre oh it's a Ford Prefect this is a prefect as well Nash metropolitan my aunt Carrie if you're watching that's her dream car just not the dream condition of her dream car more like nightmare condition Cadillacs Fords well he collected every single make is even a pacer down at the end here I believe that Pacers had one door slightly longer than the other so that the passengers could get it in and out easier it's a you know funky design and the driver's door slightly shorter than the passenger door v-dub another project it's not an oval window or anything so probably not really worth a whole lot better shape than that last one we showed you this little two-door station wagon here it's the dodge fairly solid it's even got all its hubcaps on it or Plymouth Savoy I'm sorry there's a Dodge product though look that's the same same emblem the guy taken off of a Plymouth and put it on his Ford truck I guess if you're a Dodge fan and you end up with a Ford that's what you do to make you feel like you got what you want all of these are - oh this is a cruiser see the roof this is actually kind of a cool car when they're fixed up I even like the the old window decollete it in the backyard a nice view out these windows that's complete it's got some awesome that's actually a pretty cool car that's maybe nineteen sixty six or seven something like that Ford truck big old farm truck blast on the road 76 another it's an Austin there's a few British cars here - Mercury monarch suicide doors so they open in opposite directions from each other of course suicide because if you're in the backseat and you open into traffic a car would just hit you and not the door I need four of these for my racecar Ford Center Capps I can buy the reproduction I don't think I'd want to buy a whole pallet full of old wire wheels just to get that telephone up Capps that's off a Buick Wildcat old Ford v8 hubcaps I don't know why I like hubcaps are like the jewellery of a car I always think it's cool hayloft pulley people trailers full of stuff nice little this little rocket 30 pedal car be for a real little kid in size of my hand compared to that car it's not a very big car at all odds and ends another pedal car body there this one I think Holkar hubcaps 1914 32 aluminum some oil cans up here no you guys probably watching home could care less about oil cans for me it's bread and butter at our shop I have to pay attention to them because that's what sells mold signs dicks in here this is a nice ol early oil can but it's in tough shape so you know an option to might go cheap I might go for way more than it's worth Imperial Oil Standard Oil three-star dealer nice beats and this is where we start to get into the good stuff Model T's T roadster I was like Archie's jalopy from the old Archie comics if you're old enough to remember when Archie drove a jalopy that looked like that I guess I'm dating myself and then running since 48 McLaughlin Buick it's a nice car see the curved hood really stylish here's a nice 1:29 Packard the big old beast I'm gonna brass tin Lizzy right next to it this Packard is pretty well all here you know open the door let's try it yeah door opens nice tears all their needs quite a bit of work upholstery and so I know there's the lens for the headlight on the floor down there look at that this thing's probably been sitting for who knows how long watch this close it with one finger and truth be told this is kind of the reason why I came out here this car is the one I'm interested in it's a Honda s600 convertible this was Honda's very first car 1965 one owner the son of the owner this property got this car anew and it's been sitting pretty much since that I think the 70s or 80s they said and it would probably clean up not too bad it's a fairly solid car this would be a nice addition my collection I like this kind of stuff problem is a really good friend of mine also wants the same car so we're gonna have to figure out I guess maybe if he taps out a certain number I'll jump in I don't know it's the tough thing when you have friends that have the same interest you bit on the same stuff now here are a couple cars you don't see every day well start with the 1915 Milburn electric and I know that's what it is because I read the sign on the door but I could tell it's an electric car unusual vehicle and if you think electric vehicles were just a modern thing no think again it still has its 15 plate on the front porcelain plate and this looks to be a car that you could almost the interiors not all that bad tiller steering you see that it's a little chillier on it this would be a wild ride cool thing and then this guy here it's try Magnum 85 which is a this is nuts it's essentially a Kawasaki motorcycle I've never seen anything like this it is it's a Kawasaki motorcycle with the seat off @kz 1300 with this crazy fiberglass frame they've built an apparatus onto the onto the front here and you've got two seats in the front in the steering wheel this is pretty wild probably been somewhat terrifying to drive and it's crazy that it's essentially 90% of motorcycle with the fiberglass shell like they left the tank and everything it's crazy little car let's get a picture from up here I've never seen anything like that how about you guys farmtruck's star-6 older restoration or an original car a Jewett you don't see too many of these around okay right there 1930 Chevy a gray dorte now that's an unusual Canadian made car and we I don't see these around even living this area you don't see a great door very often look at the interior at one time somebody had I believe that's a buffalo hide seats in an open touring car now that would make a cool rat rod just drive it just the way it is get it mechanically running and drive it put some fresh buffalo over the seats and away you go Marquette this little Buick 2-door convertible little moto-meter on it voice moto-meter a lot of these we're sitting indoors up until the sale here so they're not horribly rotted out but they're not great either don't see the trunk lid for it chevy delivery truck with the flat side windows the chevy speedster McLaughlin's another big little Buick here this looks like we like another McLaughlin those two big old Buick army trucks world war ii jeep every farm fields got a Pontiac four-door in it don't ask me why I get this hold a lot of them slightly better metropolitan it's still not great Cadillacs Fords Buicks Fordson tractor an actual steam tractor lot number 44 if you're hearing you got the Bucks you could park this on your driveway at home the trouble with an old steam tractor like this is that they're not really practical because they're almost impossible to get recertified it's a lot of work to get that boiler recertified so you can run it so they end up being yard art more than anything and this is a really heavy piece of yard art so it'll probably get dragged to another Museum and will probably sit there on display because they are a cool thing and I think I mentioned before my great grandfather that's what he did he broke land for the railway he was in a steam tractor probably not very much different than this nice find here at a farm auction [Music] Kizer Frasier look at crazy stars on the hood of this now that didn't get your attention driving it down the road I don't know what would actually pretty solid car to Pontiac dodge old the DeSoto wagon not too many DeSoto wagons around 2-door caddie gonna Continental Mark three convertible it's a good car actually the quite valuable restored I bought one several years ago actually from Saskatchewan the province that were in the mine wasn't much worse shape than that Austin shear line while there's the Nash okay great emblem flying lady on the hood two doors well this is an Austin shear line what's the most valuable thing on this whole car are those headlights those are Lucas p100 here's a rare beast 1907 International Harvester it's essentially a horseless carriage in a national auto buggy two cylinder air-cooled engine 14 horsepower now that wouldn't be anything to write home about but back then that was probably a lot that's pretty neat few rare early pieces here depression-era this is what you do couldn't afford gas you turn your car into a buggy so they'd hook it up to the horse team and tow yourself around early piece of history right there just leave it just the way it is and I did also come to look at these these are miniature scale part combines threshing machines tractors these would be live seems that actually run I am gonna try and put a bit on some of this stuff but these can go for crazy money so I don't know if I'll be able to afford it but we'll see I probably go after that guy this one is awesome but the too big the little threshing machines up my alley too so you will see me bidding hopefully on these guys well look inside of this place you do not find buildings that look like this anymore look at that sitting here for years I can hear an angry beehive above my head so I'm not gonna get too crazy over there so I've seen about all I need to see to make a few decisions I'm definitely gonna go after the small steam tractor and the small threshing machine maybe the Honda if my friend would let me have it otherwise it might be a little bit of a duel there but we'll see and yeah there's a few other cool stuff too so that's it for tonight we're back again tomorrow for you the video is just gonna keep going but for me I'm gonna sleep in between and yeah so next up is the auction itself [Music]
