4chan Alien Picture

[Music] fortune is a website known for a lot of jokes however recently something surfaced that many people believe to be anything but a joke on January 22nd there was a thread posted a politically incorrect board on 4chan titled two four four eight nine taken approximately 24 miles northwest of Luke Air Force Base Phoenix Arizona lab h4 allegedly the thread contained a picture of a very high quality realistic looking alien the thread was only up for about 30 to 45 seconds and then the 4chan website went down when the website came back up the thread was gone since the whole situation happened a lot of people have been talking about it but there isn't too much information about the original thread furthermore no one seems to have the original picture although there are a lot of people who claim to have seen the picture no one ever actually saved it on the threads that were posted after all this happened some of the supposed witnesses said the picture was taken outside and in most recreations of the picture there's a tree on the right side of it as far as the description of the actual alien itself goes they said it was looking to the left and slightly at the camera it had yellow scales black eyes and small pursed lips some people have suggested that this was a picture that was posted this picture was taken back in 2012 when a man named Jonathan Reed camp encountered an alien in the woods and then killed it with a tree branch I'm not going to go too much into detail with his story but it's been highly discredited by many sources point is the people who claim they saw the original picture are saying the original picture was definitely not this one not long after this this picture began popping up people were saying this is a corrupt image of the original some people have been taking this seriously while others not so much at the end there are pretty much two possibilities some people believe this is real and others believe it's a hoax let's for a moment just consider this may have been an image of a real alien some people are saying this had to be fake because at least one person would have saved the image or screenshot of it or something like that that really isn't the best argument in my opinion since the picture was only up for less than a minute a lot of people probably just didn't take it too seriously at the time or just anything to save it and that short amount of time another point some people are trying to bring up is that whenever they post a thread about the alien the thread will either get removed immediately or they'll get banned the only example I could really find of this was a threat on the politically incorrect board or someone claimed they got banned for posting about the alien now let's take a look at some reasons that indicate why this might very well be a hoax first of all we can look at some of the claims that don't seem completely accurate a lot of people are saying that whenever somebody post a thread about the picture it gets removed if there really is any censorship of these threads then it can't be that bad since just a simple Google search or bring up a bunch of very long threads discussing the image although there had been instances of threads being removed after discussing it it is possible for someone to remove their own thread it wouldn't be surprising if people did stuff like this just to play along wouldn't be the first time this happened I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with the grifter it was just a troll that someone created on 4chan a while ago they made a thread describing a disturbing video called the grifter and then other people made thread talking about how disturbing it was just to play along the goal was to get people curious about what the video was when in reality the video didn't even exist there still is the question as to how 4chan actually shut down in the first place there is an explanation for this though there are several posts from people explaining how the random and politically incorrect board shut down routinely for maintenance at two to three o'clock and the more Central Time the whole alien situation did happen pretty early in the morning so this could be why next we can actually debunk the supposed corrupt image file right now people claim that this image is a corrupt file of the original alien image that was posted but that is not true a lot of people have speculated that the alien in this image is actually just the alien in this image this can be confirmed because I feel look closely at the corrupt image you can see a little round dot by chin now look at this other fake alien and you can see the same dot by its chin at this point it becomes clear that the corrupt image is just a fake finally the person behind this hoax actually came clean on 4chan he said the entire thing was planned out by a group on discord that he was a part of it took advantage of the maintenance situation and the glyphs that did not archive their original alien post and essentially it's fun to see how long is it right out didn't continue for as long as he wanted to since people found out the original source of the corrupted image file that pretty much cleared it all up there's an explanation for most of the strange stuff surrounding this and the perpetrator of the hoax confessed I think it's safe to say the alien picture was just a big
