Tyler's Last Words Analysis

[Music] on September 9th 2011 a tragic video was uploaded to YouTube and received little attention the video is titled Tyler's last words right before he killed himself the video it depicts him singing a song he wrote for who we can assume is his deceased wife Victoria [Music] understandably so he looks very depressed throughout the whole video at the end of this video however something a bit unexpected happens he points a gun to his head takes a deep breath and then the video abruptly ends [Music] the description reads this is my brother's last song to his wife I see requested in his note I'm sorry if this offends anyone I love my brother and I owe this to him we miss you Tyler may you and Victoria be happy together again one of the peculiar things about this video is that although it was posted back in 2011 it only just recently started gaining attention it was only just this past month that the video began suddenly appearing in people's recommended videos as you can see here all throughout 2016 and 2017 the videos views stayed relatively low then at the beginning of July of 2018 the view began gaining more traction it peaked on July 8th gaining 313 thousand views that day today the video has over 900,000 views the sudden popularity of this video has won the sympathy of many viewers but it has also resulted in a lot of skepticism most people claiming this is fake however don't give much of a solid explanation or motive for why this would be fake so we still don't really know anything for sure at the same time it's easy to understand why people would be skeptical of this so I decided to look into it a bit more I tried doing a search for any other usernames online and put the name they large Tyler and wasn't able to find any instances of that username outside of YouTube this isn't surprising since whoever created this YouTube channel real or fake probably would not use that username for anything else next I tried using several different websites to search for an obituary for anyone by the name of Tyler de large once again this search came up empty I even tried doing a white pages search for a Tyler de large and couldn't find anything this doesn't necessarily mean the video is a hoax but at the same time it doesn't help that we can't find any information about this person so far we're still left with not much to go off of but the lack of information is what makes us come off as a little strange to analyze this further I decided to enlist the help of a youtuber named Dragan wolf who is well known for making videos analyzing people's body language I'll leave a link to her channel in the description before showing you what Reagan had to say I wanted to make her disclaimer clear that body language readings are not always 100% accurate the reading will be more of a guide for us rather than an absolute answer so let's take a look at what she had to say after watching this video multiple times it truly is hard to get a good read on Tyler I think it's odd that he would sit down and record something like this his blink rate suggests to me that he's not really under any kind of stress while recording this and in fact he almost seems comfortable and relaxed it could be due to a lot of different variables he might have practiced this song a million times before recording it going into this reading I knew nothing about Tyler so I didn't want to judge any of his movements too harshly because I didn't have a foundation to build upon when it came to his usual movements and what's normal for him I will say though that he seems to be looking at himself a lot in the viewfinder either that or he's trying to read lyrics or remember them usually if you find a spot in the room that your eyes can linger on it's easier for you to remember something that's going through your mind a lot of actors do it when they're trying to remember their lines it seems a little strange that he's not going into emotion while he's saying this like he's not fazed by any of his words at all normally whenever someone's singing a song that's like this emotion Phil even with depression or any kind of feelings of numbness you'll still have one or two lines maybe a couple of words in a song that'll trigger some kind of emotion whether that be a break in the eye movement or a break in the brain a stutter of some sort just anything that'll kind of give us like an indication that okayed this guy's really feeling something right now while he's singing these lyrics even when he's singing the line [Music] all he does is take a deep breath in and it seems kind of staged along with the slow movements and the whistled inhale whenever he puts the gun to his head at the end of the video my first reaction to this all was that it seemed a little staged or it seemed like it was done for dramatic effect I don't want to say that this guy didn't kill himself because I don't know the full story I don't know anything about this case at all but I will say that this video in particular looks like he didn't kill himself at the end of the video it just looks like he was making this for dramatic effect and either killed himself at a later time or this entire thing was just made up but that's what I got from my reading and I hope that this information helps I have a few more things to say before wrapping things up there are a few more things that just don't seem right to me one is a title of the video the fact that it ends with right before he killed himself in parentheses seems like it's overtly calling out for attention if this was really posted by his brother to fulfill his final wishes then the title Tyler's last words it would have been enough the ending almost seems clickbait II to me finally the ending of the video strikes me as odd it looks like the end of the video was cut off later presumably by Tyler's brother so I wouldn't actually witness the suicide once again if this video was simply to fulfill his brother's dying wish you'd think he would just cut the video off before the gun even appeared why would he want his brother holding a gun to his head to be the final way that we see him it just doesn't make sense to me and seems to have been done completely for shock factor if this video was just a hoax that would leave one question why what would be the purpose of faking something like this some have speculated it was to promote his music but that can't be true since we don't know anything about his other music if he even has any maybe he just did it for the sake of freaking people out or maybe it was to raise suicide awareness I don't know the lack of any real motive is the only thing stopping me from calling this out as fake right now if this person really did commit suicide then my heart goes out to his family but right now I'm very much leaning towards us being a hoax but I'm willing to see anything to prove me wrong whether this was real or fake we all know that suicide is
