[Music] hey everybody how you doing this is about to be a really fun video got the Sun coming real bright on me so I took my hat off so you can see them face but we are about to sight in this savage 110v a stealth chambered in 338 Lapua Magnum we've got some 250 grain bullets got it locked down in the vise I haven't quite tuned it yet or set up the boar but we're going to bore sight this at 25 yards and let me tell you why 25 yards so this rifle for me personally is going to be sent up for a hunting rifle looking at the ballistic charts for this rifle the bullet hits the same spot at 25 yards and also 200 yards so I'm shooting at a deer or an elk at 200 yards this is going to be dead-on and if we need to take it down and move it up we have a very sweet Nikon with an MOA reticle and we'll be able to tune it with the ballistic charts from there but for this one I'm gonna boresight this at 25 yards it's gonna hit the same spot at 200 yards let's set this up and boresight it should be a whole lot of fun hopefully we could do it pretty quick because I already have seven bullets out here today as you may or may not know 338 Lapua Magnum ammo is really expensive most of them three or four dollars a shot no kitty 338 more expensive than 50 BMG most the time but let's get the bore set up for this my tune the scope in we're gonna take a shot and then adjust it from there should be pretty fun alright so first thing we're gonna do is take the bolt out and let me tell you on this savage I ran into something I've never seen before right when I got the rifle I couldn't figure out how to get the bolt in you know how they ship them without the bolt in them well to get the boat either in or out what you have to do you have to take it off safety obviously make sure there's no ammo in there pull it back and it's gonna stop right about there then this button right here it's in the location where the normal bolt releases are you got to press that and then you actually got to pull the trigger which I've never seen in a rifle before that might be pretty common but if it is I haven't seen it so now what we're gonna do take my hat off again we're gonna look down the boar until it looks like the center of the barrel is looking right at the center of my target down there and hmm honestly I don't have the best eyes to be looking through a little barrel at 25 yards but it seems to be pretty close so now we're gonna go up to the scope and the scope is actually a little bit left and down let me see if I can show you guys maybe I can zoom through the bore here and see if that'll give me a better picture of whether or not we're lined up see there's my silhouette down there you can see the barrel is pretty much centered on the bull's eye there so let's back it back up then you can see the crosshairs are a little bit to the left and maybe a hair down so let's adjust those real quick so barrel is pretty much dead on and we need to move this right and up a little bit so let me lock this gun down before I forget to lock it and just screw everything up and shoot these crazy expensive bullets all right so that vise is in there real tight this is a ctk precision vise if you're interested in a gun vise I wonder how many comments on this video we can get that I need to get a more secure table all right so I'll tune this scope to the right I'm not counting the clicks because I don't care I'm just trying to get the crosshairs on the center here check my bowler make sure my rickety table hasn't messed it up and then that's pretty good right and left now we're gonna need to come down a bit all right now let me show you guys through the scope so now you can see the crosshairs are just about bull's eye there now we're going to take our first shot and see where it hits so now let me get this bolt back in here and let's take a shot I'm just gonna load one into the magazine and y'all cross your fingers that we hit the paper remember I only have seven bullets some of you guys are saying all you ought to be able to do it in two well I'm no professional I'm just a regular old dude all right so crosshairs are still on the bull's eye let's let this one fly I'm actually gonna turn that back up to where it's touching the back even though this is tightened up lot going on today here all right so that's touching the back that's clamped we got this at the right height check it again we're still right at the center of the bullseye so let's put one in there let me run down there and set the camera up before we shoot this round now let's take this first shot and see how close to the bullseye we can get here [Music] well I don't know if you saw that in the camera but I have a face right here on this Vice clamp and the gun came back a little bit hit me in the lid that hurt alright so looks like we're on paper but we're up and to the left a little bit so we need to come down into the right all right now that I made a few quick adjustments see how this one loads just from the breech just fine so made a few quick adjustments let's see where this one hits here try not to get hit in the mouth this time [Music] [Applause] actually not bad almost a 2-shot site in so we need to come down and to the left just to hear somebody saying man he got lucky on that one yeah you're probably right so down into the right I'll know down it to the left so let's go down just a hair and left just a hair let's see where this one hits that make me happy if we did this in only three shots oh come on baby eject for me there we go third round here let's see where this baby hits [Music] you see I didn't adjust it much but if we did come a little bit closer to the bullseye I tell you what let's take one more shot come down into the left just a hair more I'm gonna go left one click and down two clicks hey let's take the exact same shot I probably could stuff there but and this is a precision rifle let's pretend we're you're a precision shooter here we go baby fourth shot I'll see where this one lands and there I just move the whole rest but should be good I can't tell you one thing that this Nikon FX 1000 is a dream of a scope and the trigger on these savages are awesome awesome triggers let's pop this last one off here and see where she lands [Music] [Applause] huh I must have let that one jump a little bit cuz it is actually a little bit higher what hey there's three shots pretty much in the bullseye I think I'm gonna call that a wrap for this video and safe a few rounds till I get another shipment of 338 in let's go down there and check the paper up real close you can see they're just from board siding it that was our first shot and then our next three shots I made just minor adjustments and Nick kissed the bull's eye with the second shot and then we're all right they're pretty much on the money may tune that scope in a tad bit more as we do some more practice stretching that rifle out and doing some long range stuff ammo that we're shooting in this video is some IMI systems 250 grain bullets thanks for watching the video today guys sign it in this 338 Lapua Magnum in kind of two shots and took two more to making some real my new adjustments but gonna be shooting this rifle a whole whole lot gonna be taking it on some upcoming hunts this winter let me know what you guys think I really love the Savage I really enjoy shooting them good trigger this scope is absolutely ridiculous like I said this as a Nikon FX 1000 bench worked out great a lot better than what I've done before previously in the past two sight rifles in lucky or not with that two shot getting the bullseye I say most of it strictly due to this entire setup between the rest the rifle and the scope but thanks for watching the video today guys a big shout out to the heavy metal channel everybody go check them out and subscribe check out all the links in the description down below I always love hearing from you guys we'll see you on the next one
