place that it has in the plan of God so salvation is actually a great plan now please pay attention when words are used in the Bible they have biblical meaning words used in the Bible have biblical meaning there will be literal meaning of these things but there is biblical meaning for it and sometimes what people try to do is to allow the literal meaning give it a biblical meaning they superimpose the literal meaning of words on the biblical meaning of words and that's absolutely wrong salvation is a biblical term salvation is an English word with a Bible meaning so we must interpret spiritual things with spiritual let the Bible interpret the world let the Bible interpret the world so the Bible is self interpreting by the Spirit of God meaning the salvation is a biblical word so we must look at salvation itself in the light of the world not by experience and we will use the literal meaning in English and Greek meaning also and you must remember that Greek is a natural language is not a spiritual language but Greek and Hebrew there are natural languages but in translating sometimes certain depths can be lost certain depths that's why we always go back to the Hebrew did foreknow so fir knowledge predestination and election concept of grace they are concept of grace foreknowledge predestination and election are concepts of grace you cannot explain them outside grace they are not a stand alone they are concepts of grace and these words are not academic words foreknowledge predestination election so let us see the way the Bible puts it man in Adam man in Christ I'm sure you remember that so the concept of foreknowledge predestination and election and concepts of grace if you observe they seem to be different in the Old Testament they seem to be house of Judah he did not include Gentiles none of us is house of Israel here and none of us his house of Judah but the writer of Hebrews says God says this is a covenant that i will make with the you must realize that man has always been in the center of God's plan - always been in the center of God's plan and all creatures were created for man because man has been in the center of God's plan you must also realize that the first Adam introduced the concept of seen how that man by his free will walked in disobedience to God the concept of seeing so now we begin to see humanity as grace grace is personified in Christ Christ is the passing of grace or Christ personifies grace that is Grace is explained through Christ Titus chapter 2 verse 11 read for me for the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men to all if your Bible was meant to all is a place to underline has appeared to all so election predestination and foreknowledge sense of grace like somebody defined grace as God's riches at Christ's expense that is what God did for us in Christ that is what grace is what God did for us in Christ that is what grace is so let's predestination at Salvation we have two documents in the Bible showing God's dealings with mind two documents number one is the Old Testament and number two is the epistles and I'm gonna just stick to the two of them for the purpose of this story Old Testament and the epistles all right for the purpose of this story now things in the Bible always happened in patterns pattern things in the Bible always happen in a pattern word election is from a Greek word that means choice choice or to choose to make a choice that will mean you will choose among many things so in Romans chapter 9 Paul begins to explain to us have him brought the gospel to the Jews and the Gentiles you know some people say Paul was sent to the Gentiles know Paul was sent to the Jews the Gentiles and to the whole world in his mission statement he made it very clear I don't know where they got that from Paul apostle to the Gentiles Peter opposed to to the Jews all of them were sent to the whole world go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature all of them were to reach the whole world is only Peter who personally restricted himself to the Jews but otherwise both of them were sent to Jews and Gentiles all of them now so in chapter 9 Paul is presenting to Jews and Gentiles while salvation is for everybody why salvation is for everybody notice again fur knowledge comes before predestination funnel it comes before predestination fur knowledge is knowledge
