hi everyone welcome back to my next video uh we've been talking about how very very expensive it is to live in this country how we have become a a low-wage high rent nation and so I've been suggesting that if you live in your vehicle you can you can live really well on very little money and for a lot of us that's the only way today I want to talk to you about an option that you have how you can live in your vehicle completely legally not be chased around not be worried about a knock on the door you have but just really really well and very cheaply not free but very very cheaply and today I want to talk to you about the long term visitor areas on BLM land I'm at the loposa West uh long-term visitor area ltva that's how I'll refer to them as ltvas uh here in Quartzsite Arizona quartzite is really well set up for rvers and and Van lifers and boondocking so a lot of us come here and uh see and stay here the whole the whole winner with the ltva pass you can stay here for seven months uh for a hundred and eighty dollars so that's uh mid-september to Mid April and that's seven months and the both of the two ends get pretty hot but if you have an air conditioning enough solar or generator to run air conditioning it's perfectly fine in an RV or a van if you have an air conditioner so you get seven months for 180 dollars that's like twenty five dollars a month something like that and that's really really really cheap and you're perfectly legal and there are quite a few of the ltvas there are three of them right here in quartzite and down at Yuma there's two and then there are uh at least two of them that I know of over in California and you can move in between them you spend your 180 dollars you can be here at the ltva here you can go to a Yuma Arizona which is about uh 75 miles south of here and be there there you can go to Holtville or Midland right over here and there's another one there's three at least in California I forget the name of the other one now they don't all offer facilities uh sometimes you're you're just primitive camping boondocking no uh no water no sewer or dump or anything else but here at uh in quartzite all of the ltvas here in quartzite do share water and dump and trash so for your 180 you get all those three things and assuming you're a boondocker you have your own solar up so you have your own power you have your own generator and their their generator hours since I mentioned generator uh uh 10 to 6 is quiet time in the ltva so no generators no loud noises and they're huge uh they're just huge there's plenty of room to move around and be completely alone and not have anyone around you or to be as have as many people around you as you want I mean it's a little city in some of these places but it's all independent you just drive in you see a spot if that's my spot I'm parking right there and that's where I'm camping for the next seven months I get tired of that spot I got AI comes in I don't like I start the key I turn the key I drive over there and I camp over there for whatever time I have in the ltva you can come you can go you could be at any of the ltvas it's fantastic a hundred and eighty dollars for seven months rent that's just incredible I don't know what you're paying for it now but I bet you would love to have 180 dollars for seven months rent and it's beautiful look at the scene here behind me it's beautiful and uh I you know it's just an eye Boondock uh because I prefer to be out really alone and uh I don't like having to be around all these people and drive in and be around all people so I Boondock here in quartzite and you can Boondock if you want but if you want to just come in and settle in and not have to move your rig again if you have a trailer or a Class A and you're towing a vehicle and that's sure nice never have to move your vehicle again if you use a blue boy uh you can you can dump your tank into your blue boy and just take your blue boy and dump it you have a 30 or 50 gallon drum you go get your own water and pump it into your tanks you can park your RV and never move it again for seven months here at the ltvas that's a pretty hot deal uh the shopping and quartzite isn't great but right over at um in Blythe it's very good in Parker with blinds about 25 miles away Parker is about 45 Yuma which has everything you could possibly want is about 70 five so pretty close to here is good shopping and it's an interesting place whatever else you can say about quartzite it's an interesting place so I just want you to be aware you have options in this life you can have a great life right here in the ltva and then again again you can go down to Yuma and I have a video out talking about the Pilot Knob ltva where you could work there for seven months you could become a school bus driver in that seven months camp on the ltva go to work every day get your CDL license and be set for work for life so that's an idea watch that video uh there's a a Holtville ltva over in California you go down to Yuma you drive over maybe 50 miles and you're in Holtville there's a hot springs there it's free you can go to Hot Springs every day at that ltva I mean uh over at Midland which is just North of Blythe California and has Blythe has good shopping and it's a nice place it's a nice ltva there's lots of good choices and so I think this is something you should give some thought to and if you're if you're looking to get out of that uh low-wage high rent trap and this squeeze where you're just being pounded at the end of every month you have no money you don't know how you're going to pay the rent next month this is a way out at the ltva and then the rest of the summer you travel you see the country uh if you've worked while you were here and you can there's work here in quartzite lots of work down at Yuma uh you can work build up your savings and then go travel the rest of the year and it's just your quality of life is going to go up so I just really recommend that you consider living in a vehicle uh and and especially living in an ltva where it's so good and so cheap and so legal and so easy uh no no knocks on the door ever while you're in the ltva they'll give you a sticker now one thing I want to point out is this sign right here self-contained camp units only that means you have to have a black tank I think that's the rule you must have a 10 gallon black tank it must be connected to a uh a toilet now that seems reasonable to me because they want you to they want to be sure that you're not going to dump your black tanks on the ground people do that good people like you and me and everyone watching this video we don't do it but there are people out there that do so they can't have that that's that's unacceptable so you do have to have a self-contained unit now what if you're in a van and you're not self-contained all you have there's plenty of toilets uh around the ltvas and all you have to do is Camp within 500 feet of a toilet that way you know they know you can go to the toilet and go to the bathroom there you're not going to just dump it on the ground so you can still come in the van you just have to be within 500 feet of a toilet and there are plenty of them and there are some remote ones where you could be alone you cannot have a lot of people around you so that's a really really good thing too okay I hope this inspires you to know you can live your highest quality of life by living uh in a vehicle in a van a car van RV uh and even in a tent uh and and find really cheap places to live and have good quality of life have a fantastic life at the end of the month you won't have you're not going to be rich but at the end of the month you'll have a little money left over and that's what counts you're not just living paycheck to paycheck how am I going to pay the rent next month can I afford to go to the doctor can I afford anything in life can I have any enjoyment in my life except paying my landlord paying the banker uh we're slaving away for my boss you get a lot of control over your life so what do you think is this something you could do with an ltva can you come up with 180 for seven months rent doesn't that sound like a sweet deal comment below I'd like to know if this is something you would consider doing well I hope you got something out of this video if you did like us on
