2022 Newmar Supreme Aire 4590 Bunkhouse Model - 5N210507 Live at Transwest Truck Trailer RV

well good morning everybody uh welcome back once again to transwest truck trailer rv uh today i'm going to be showing you a brand new floor plan they've actually uh redesigned the bunkhouse model this is the 45-90 floor plan and this has got the sable maple hardwood high gloss cabinetry with the ibus interior and i think this is just a great look this dark cabinet they're beautiful when you pair it with the lighter floors the lighter carpet uh countertop and the furniture and again this is the ibis interior stock number here is 5n ones before we get started too much let me give you my contact this is a new floor plan i'm going to talk about some of the things they've changed from 2021 as we go through it and normally i start on the outside go through the engine uh the chassis you know all of the guy things we all feel like tim the tool man taylor and grunt a little bit as we talk about torque and towing capacity but i want to start on the inside this time and show you a little bit more of the storage we have in here let's move on back to the bathroom now this is a bath and a half floor plan and back here in the main bathroom uh first thing i want to show is you do have a little bit of wardrobe area with some extra storage down there you got a place to hang your clothes up on top and you've got your safe back there also for all your valuables next to the wardrobe we have our stackable washer and dryer and then look at all the storage we have here there are four nice deep drawers and these are all soft closed drawers very deep the cabinetry that newmar uses is beautiful these are all amish made solid hardwood you have three more drawers on this side these three plenty of storage here for you know toilet tree products your your extra toilet paper and so forth three more little storage drawers here and this side is actually also pretty deep you can see the soft close feature there and then you have a very large medicine chest here with the 110 outlet one of the things i like about this the storage gets to be a premium especially as you're taking longer trips or full timing and all of these drawers are so deep and useful you see there's plenty of room for your towels your washcloth all your hair products and so forth it just there's more room than you would expect in something this size let me show you a little bit about this shower first of all i'm going to step in here to show you how large it is now i'm about five eight of course i have plenty of room and everything but somebody six four six five could get in here and not have to worry about hunching over it's got this nice antique seat so if you want to you can sit down here and let me explain what this water miser or the water saving system is when your water's heating up for your shower generally number one you're wasting fresh water and number two you're filling your grate tank so with this aqua view what you do you turn it on this is going to be blue initially and as you're heating the water it's recirculating it back to the fresh tank so you're not wasting that water you're not filling your gray tank when this turns red you turn this lever and now it's going to come out your shower you have a nice waterfall shower here you do have a hand wand and this is movable so you can set it anywhere you like and then you also have these heavy duty grab handles this is a 40 inch by 30 inch shower and just beautiful tile work floor here newmar does a great job and then again you've got a couple of racks on the outside for hanging towels love the shower here and then another feature you're only going to find in the newmar is this egress store so if there is an emergency and you need to bail out this is the way you can do it there's a ladder behind this if you pull the panel a ladder drops down i've got the cabinet doors open downstairs or down below so i'm not going to do it right now but if you consider the only other exit is through the bedroom window and you're probably crawling out head first with about a six or seven foot drop to the pavement i'd much rather get out this way so kudos to newmar for designing this they're the only company that puts an emergency exit in the bathroom and again a little more cabinet space back here up above we do have a fantastic fan there's three of these in the coach they draw a lot of air through so on nights where maybe you're not using your air conditioner you can crack a window turn on your fan and it pulls that air through you get a nice breeze let's move into the bedroom area next now you saw we had a little bit of wardrobe space in the bathroom we've got two more wardrobe cabinets here and lights come on automatically when you open this cabinet and we have six very deep well five actually deep drawers here and then this one is actually your video cabinet one thing you'll notice the hdmi cable is here but they no longer put a blu-ray uh player in here blu-ray and dvds are almost getting obsolete with the streaming services a lot of people use apple tv or something like that but if you want to bring your blu-ray blu-ray or dvd player you can hook it up and again all the soft closed drawers you know while you're here get it get a shot right here of this edge notice how that's a dovetail joint in this cabinet here that's not something they have to do they almost over designed this it's not going to twist or warp over time when you're pulling it in and out hundreds and hundreds of times the craftsmanship here is second to none and quite often i get back to the newmar slogan when you know the difference these are the differences they're talking about these are things that newmar does that most other companies don't also outside this window you notice we do have a shade and uh you know we can extend that a little bit lower so this is not only equipped with the gerard nova awnings but we also have the window shade package beautiful king bed with radius corners makes it easy to get around you do have storage underneath the bed you can see we have two extra leaves for our euro dyno euro booth dinette and then a couple of folding chairs there and the fabric actually matches what you've got on the dinette on this bed each pedestal has a 110 outlet it's actually up in here and if you've got a sleep machine you can plug in either side and another nice feature they added for 2021 i don't know if you can get a shot of this zach but up under here you have your silver leaf panel and you notice there's an all lights off switch if you get into bed and you forgot and left the lights on out by the tv you can shut it off right here if you want to turn your generator on and off you can do it right here laying in the bed so really nice feature there if you look at the uh the ceiling throughout this coach there's a beautiful designer finish up here that covers your air conditioning vents you don't see the return vents or the little round pucks that you'll see in in most rvs newmar does a great job putting this decorator ceiling on there all of these lights let me see get in here and i can dim those you know i can turn on just my accent lights if i want uh you know for a little ambiance at night it's just very well thought out let's move up toward the middle of the coach now i was telling you this is a bunk model and initially these bunks look small but they are actually 30 by 72 and i'm going to get in here and show you that it is big enough for an adult like i said i'm about five eight and i've got a couple inches at both the head and the foot area so you know designed for kids i would say but certainly could accommodate a medium-sized adult and then directly across from the bunk area we have the half bathroom and this door is another real unique feature to newmar see how it's hinged in the middle that way with the slide in you can open it all the way if you're a larger person with a traditional hinged door it's got to pivot this way it might be hard to get around and get in so i like the way they they uh you know have this door open and when you get inside here it's actually pretty roomy you know you're not crowded plenty of room counter space here by the sink you do have a little bit of area down here for storage and then again some storage drawers a cabinet here we have another cabinet over here and then your medicine cabinet you've got plenty of room and uh yeah i don't know if you can get a good angle there but a couple of shells straight above you see there's another fantastic fan in the bathroom another great feature is your breakers are right here so right here are all my 110 breakers and they're labeled your washer your dryer water heater your rear air everything that's got a 110 circuit breaker is labeled and then all your 12 volt fuses are over here and you can see on this door you've got a label that that tells you what each fuse is for so if your satellite controls aren't operating or your driver slide out lights are out you know that's f10 it's a 20 amp fuse they give you a few extra fuses up here this coach also has heated floors and there's a couple of zones so you have a gfi reset for your heated floors right here all right well let's move up into the galley area and for starters we've got a i believe this is a 19.7 cubic foot residential refrigerator most of these coaches they uh they go with the all-electric uh refrigerator and induction cook surface so i've got a couple of extra batteries so you got a nice full-size tray here not only does it have eight agm batteries but this coach is equipped with four solar panels so if you are camping off grid which is really what these super seas are designed for if you're hauling your toys out to moab or going to be some place where you're not plugged in you've got the solar to keep your batteries topped off of course you've always got your generator to fall back on but it just gives you the capability with 150 gallons of fresh water to stay you know out in the woods a while if you need to again here in the kitchen we've got four nice deep drawers you can see how how deep that bottom one is it's equipped with a dishwasher and a nice silverware tray here you know somebody was pointing out this this dishwasher let's see i believe i gotta have it on to get it open this is a great place to to store pots and pans while you're traveling uh maybe even leave your silverware in here sometimes they will tend to rattle as you're driving down the road if you've got that stacked with silverware so you can also use this for storage and then up here we've got a convection microwave and when it comes packed like this when they're new they don't rattle much once you unpack this you might find that you want to take this dish out and and put it in a drawer when you're traveling maybe in your microwave so you don't hear that rattling as you go down the road nice deep cabinet here with a couple of pull outs and you know most of us guys don't think much about it we can reach back there but if you're shorter and a lot of the women that can't reach it's nice to have this feature just so you're not having to get a stool or something to get to the back down below same thing we've got a couple of nice pull outs one here with your waste basket another one over there for you know your dishwashing detergent or scrubbies or whatever you might want to use them for and then you do have a place here this is where you can store your lids we do have a very nice two compartment sink and if you want to cover this up and use it all as counter space you've got a lot of room here residential style fixtures this is stainless steel under mount sink and again with your all electric package you do get an induction uh cook surface nice little cutting board that probably should be glued back in there a little better pardon our dust this one just came in but what i wanted to demonstrate it's this is removable you can unplug it take it outside under your awning if you know you've caught some fresh fish or you're going to cook bacon you might want not want to do that inside so you can take that outside real easily there we go uh let's move over here by the refrigerator i didn't show you the pantry and this is a lot of room again you've got seven drawers here and to release them you got to push in there's a little safety latch but again look how deep those are and they're at varying heights this one here you think geez what am i going to put in here maybe some canned goods but you always have flashlights or you know some gloves or bungees mosquito spray sunblock things like that so that drawer comes in very handy also and then above your refrigerator that's a deep cabinet there here at the entry door this is where most of your controls are you can see we've got our our slide out buttons our exterior lights patio lights uh we do have the driver and passenger side window awnings this is your uh your uh gerard awnings these are 110 so you either need the generator on or they have to be plugged in we also have a a slide out cover and that's right here if you're traveling with a pet you know you don't want your dog falling down there when you're traveling or if you're in for the night you can shut this and you know not have to worry about stumbling down in there we have a question what would that be well it's made to sleep i would say five comfortably two in the king bed you have two in the bunks this is a jackknife couch now if you have kids or even you know smaller adults you could sleep too for you know somebody exact size or you know larger than me this may be a single there still is room on the floor for people that want to bring a sleeping pad or you know a blow up air mattress there are other model bunk houses in the super c where this would be a convertible dinette since uh we've chose the eurobooth in this one it doesn't convert into a sleeper but that would add another one to two sleeping spots if you go with that and that's probably more likely on a superstar than the supreme air like i said this is your uh your euro booth it's got two leafs and two folding chairs so you could comfortably get six people in here you can see i've got the uh the televator up i'm gonna go ahead and put that down throughout the the whole coach you have these multiplex panels uh these are silverleaf panels so if i go to my home screen into systems i'm just going to drop the tv and the reason i'm doing this is to show you uh i like having your dinette booth on the passenger side or your patio side generally that's where your view is uh you know i want to look out over you know my area in the campground you can see we've got the awning down but we also have our main awning over it so just a great look here again the uh the cabinetry here you've got some storage on both sides you can see there's a new sound bar this year uh it's still a bose but it's an upgraded sound bar this is where your satellite components would go this is equipped with the traveler satellite you have the wi-fi ranger cell router one thing i i failed to point out for 2022 they have made these cabinets a little bit shorter so they're up taller and you have a bigger window you know more backsplash area here so it gives you more working room rather than having that cabinet lowered one of the nice changes i think they made for 2022. again this is a a jackknife couch i'm not going to open it up but it's one that just lays flat there are options that you can get high to bed sofas on your eurobooth you do have more storage underneath here and you can see there are two ottomans with this and uh you know we didn't put the theater seating in here so it's nice to have these ottomans to put your feet up when you're watching tv you can actually flip it around and have a hard surface for eating off or you know playing your games or doing your puzzles and uh the other one is is tucked under the booth and when we finish up inside i'm going to close this up so you can see what it's like to walk through or how you would travel up here in the in the cab area and first of all newmar did a great job upgrading their cab you know they've carpeted all the way up front these chairs are made specifically for the supreme air the rest of the the coaches villa uh i forget the name right now pardon me but these are beautiful comfortable seats for the driver and passenger and they are air seats so you can air it up so when you're traveling down the road you've got a little bit of a cushion there new for this year is their navigation system rand mcnally no longer makes navigation for the rv industry so this is called the nav and go one of the nice features is you can program in the dimensions of your rv so we'll give you warnings if you're on a road maybe that has a low bridge or someplace too narrow for you to go you can see it's got i've got the 360 camera set up right now but uh you know you can monitor if you're looking out back for your trailer maybe you just want to keep an eye on both sides uh you can set it up to look at all four cameras and get rid of those screens up front and like i say the the bird's eye view is nice because you can see all the way around your coach with your trailer also this is set up to maybe still uh tow a stacker trailer you could put a second camera on there and there's a hook up in the back we'll talk about when we get outside a nice new carbon fiber look finish on the dash and they have a new more comfortable steering wheel here this is italian you know it's got to be good but i i really appreciate the way newmar upgraded their uh their cab this year you do have a lot of your controls here uh your house and battery or chassis batteries you have a boost so if you come out and and maybe your chassis battery is a little low you can start it with your house batteries generators start here your docking lights and so forth all very easy to reach this is a a allison 3200 six-speed transmission make your selector switch right here you've got your regular air brake you also have a trailer air supply for a braking system on a trailer that you may be towing one of the things i really like is this this shade and i'm gonna put it up right now you've got a nice skylight above and you know during the day when it's hot and sunny you might want to close that but at night maybe you got a great view of the moon or something out there you want to open it up just a nice feature there is a screen that goes around your cab to give you a blackout during uh you know night when you're going to sleep a few more cabinets here and again storage it gets used you'll find something for it maybe maps or items you're going to use while you're driving who knows maybe you've got extra towels and stuff you want to put up here here is we have two of these silver leaf interfaces one back in the bedroom one here so you can monitor your power you can see our batteries are fully charged uh we we actually are running our generator right now we've got our 30 amp on monitor your water your black your gray tanks we do have the ac on when i step outside i'm going to shut that off and turn the generator off so we don't hear it outside you have a block heater here an engine block heater your floor heat there's a couple of different zones that uh actually three different zones on this one and these uh i believe go one to ten yeah they do so when you wake up in the morning you know you might want to heat your floors so you can walk around barefoot not feel that cold tile on a winter morning just great interface there a few more storage cabinets over here one of the things i want to point out in this one we've got the number here of bruce bordner he is one of the product specialists for the super seas for newmar so you can call him now if he doesn't answer a member of his team will if you've got a slide that's not coming in there's a way to reset them and you can call newmar directly get one of those experts on the phone and they will walk you through it you also have a number for freightliner if you're having a chassis issue and as another uh area of support we have bill haberkorn here he's our technical advisor for the sales department he's basically going to answer your questions seven days a week and he can walk you through things that that you just can't imagine probably one of the greatest pools of knowledge in the rv business so anybody that buys from transwest rv has access to bill haberkorn's cell phone that's just a great feature so between bill between the the newmar numbers the freightliner numbers you're never stranded out there there's always somebody to help you i think i'm going to go ahead and close this up now so what i want to do is i'll put this on the table for the minute and your uh slide out controls are here if you look at our full wall slide how that raises up about three or four inches the rollers underneath don't even touch the tile floor so you don't get those marks and you notice there is tile throughout they call that more floor one of the unique features again to newmar so as you see it's relatively easy to walk through here when you're traveling and you know you have your half bathroom there when i bring the bedroom slide in it's going to kind of touch but if you want to watch tv while you're going down the road with that televator up it's a pretty comfortable spot when you think about it i could uh i could sit here for a long time as we're traveling if i'd happen to be a passenger of course i love driving these and the super seas people uh look at them as oh geez you have to be a trucker you have to have a commercial license you don't if you own this coach you can drive it and they're easy to drive i encourage anybody that is thinking about getting one of these come on down and talk to us we carry a couple of different manufacturers but uh take one out on a test drive you'll find out i'm going to shut the bedroom slide here real quick and then i'm going to go out the front door and talk about the access points there again as as you can see once this slide comes in you can still access your back bathroom if you want to crawl over the bed but that's the beauty of this half bathroom and again you see the beauty of that door there we go why don't you step outside zach and i'll meet you up front i'm shutting my air conditioner off and now i'm going to shut the generator off right here so we won't hear that running another real benefit of the super c is you have three entry points and if you're pulling something behind you a boat or a big trailer and you want to get out and go check it it's a lot easier to get out the driver door or the passenger door than it is to go through the coach and have to get out that way they put some nice handles here you never feel shaky coming out you've got a place to grab here you've got one to grab here as you're stepping up you can grab a handle here but as tall as that is even somebody that's a little bit shorter can get up into the cab very easily so again one of the features of having a a super c is having these front doors all right well let's take a look at the outside a little bit first of all get a shot of the awnings i love these girard awnings it's full length covers just about the whole coach you can see you do have window awnings alongside also these are motion censored if the wind picks up and they start bouncing a little bit they will close on your own so it prevents any damage and as we go down and look at the storage compartments here first of all this is one of your side cameras you do have a rear camera side camera there's one up front that's part of your 360 system these are tall compartment doors this one here isn't real deep but gives you an idea of how tall they are and uh on this second one we've got our hydraulic system this is for our slide outs also for our uh for our leveling system you see the oasis now they made another nice change this is a two zone system now so it's more efficient it's easier to work on if you were to lose one zone you haven't lost all of the heat in your coach the reason newmar uses oasis rather than the aqua hot as the other common one number one it's a quieter cleaner burning system and the oasis has two electric elements and one diesel where your aqua hot's only got one of each so when the weather starts getting below 50 degrees down into the 40s if you're plugged in with those two electric elements you can still heat your coach electrically not have to burn your diesel where with the aqua hot you're turning that diesel burner on you know a little bit higher temperatures so again when you know the difference you realize you know why newmar builds the way they do why they choose their their suppliers and they just do make a nicer coach nice thick compartment doors as you can see here very well insulated uh that is your air hose there you've got an air chock so if you you know are torn a jeep and maybe going to go on a on a you know pretty rough trail you want to let air out of the tires when you get back you can air them back up and drive down the highway again three-step entry here and there are sensors under here so if you come out and there's a curb there or a rock it's not going to jam into it it's going to stop and adjust so it doesn't damage your step by bringing it out when you're too close to the curb another storage compartment here and this is where the outside tv is on these super seas now there's a lot of debate about whether you'd rather have it up in the sidewall or down below usually you have a compartment even in your class a's that maybe has pegboard here there's a water tank or a component behind it so you don't have a full compartment i actually prefer it down here because when i'm out here sitting in my lawn chair if it's up above my neck's always looking up it gets you know a little crook in it when i'm sitting down it is at the right eye level so i always prefer them down below and uh this also comes with the bose sound bar they have this one open up you know the opposite direction so you can you know see the whole screen six uh michelin tires on the on the rear you can see our our levelers under there one thing i i like to talk about you can see it in this compartment quite well it's called their star foundation this is another unique feature to the newmar product star stands for strong true and robust and when these chassis come in for uh you know to get prepped first thing they do in the chassis prep they start mounting you know these cross members uh welding them together making a stronger platform it's supporting your your uh storage compartments all the way out to the edge and if you look at these floor joists they're not sitting right on the chassis rail that is typical with most rvs as you go down the road and hit potholes or bumps it can twist or tweak a little bit which may pop your tile or the grout one of the things newmar does they actually build their floors separately so once the chassis is prepped they have the star foundation built and it really adds a lot of rigidity to the whole platform they bring that finished floor tile is on it subfloor and everything with the big overhead crane and lower it down on this foundation and i mean they they are a precision fit floor already cured and dried where most companies they lay their subfloor on the joists which are sitting on the chassis rails then they get in there and lay the tile have to let it dry for a day or two before they can bring in the components one of the things about these newer coaches you have heavier things like your residential refrigerators there's tile that goes all the way through to the bathroom you want the strongest platform you can get and that's what newmar provides with the star foundation once again when you know the difference you'll choose a newmar most of the time oh and another thing most other superc's they don't have pass-through compartments but in the back of this you see you've got a pass-through tray here you've got one on the other side these are the hoses for your vacuum system i didn't point that out inside but you do have a nice vacuum system you can also hook up out here and clean out you know your storage compartments you've got some other components here that make it nice because you've got 110 plugs in several places here's some control units for your slide outs you know after you've done this long enough you realize much like a computer i mean these are run by so many different computer chips if you're having an issue with the slide and you unplug that for 10 or 20 seconds and plug it back in it resets much like a computer and nine times out of ten that may take care of your problem and again there's plenty of people you can call that can walk you through that if you notice here also there's a couple of hitch components these have a twenty thousand pound tow hitch you can see we've got the turnover with a two and five sixteenths and a two inch ball that is a three inch insert you might be towing with a regular two inch insert so you've got the reducer right there also and then again you can see the pass through here a lot of nice storage i do have this back hatch up and a couple of nice heavy duty shelves here you can use them for a lot of things i've i've heard some people say one of the girls here says this could be your bar well i'm not going to put my liquor here i'm going to keep it someplace near the cooler but whatever you choose maybe you do have a girl you like to take along and and cook over charcoal the old-fashioned way you can store it up here uh you know oil just a lot of a lot of uses for that but you can also access this large compartment underneath if you're carrying uh say one of those little giant ladders or you got you know thousand dollar fly rod that you want to keep intact you can lay it in here you don't have to break it down you can see here the uh how heavy duty this hitch is oops there we go twenty thousand pound tow rating here of course you can remove this and use those other reducers and other hitches you are set up if you want to tie into an air system for an air brake you've got your traditional seven way plug you've got your voyager plug uh you know you've got another plug there for your uh if you have electric brakes on a unit so twenty thousand pound rating is a lot there are very few items you're going to tow that's going to be more than that and that's really what these super seas are designed for move around this side get in the shade a little bit this is the other half of that pass pass-through compartment see they provide you with a few extra floor tiles if you should ever drop something and and chip one of those it's easy to remove it replace it re-grout it won't even know it's happened 12 500 quiet diesel generator that's a lot of power i think i mentioned this has the four solar panels up on the roof so you could stay off the grid a long time this does have a hundred gallon fuel tank and i'll show you where that is up front this diesel runs off your fuel tank so you're not gonna run out just a little storage compartment there again if you know you got some work gloves or tools or you know maybe even you carry an auxiliary uh sewer hose you might want to put in there something you won't want to bring into the house you can see these window awnings and you know sometimes in the afternoon the sun's coming from the west the direction we're parked now that sun would be beating in on you so it's nice to have these that come down all the way and block that sun out this is our water compartment you do have a whole house filter an outside shower and look at that shower head you can actually take a shower there it's not just a kitchen sprayer you do have an rv sanicon system that's what this is basically it's like a a uh you know grinder that it's a macerator that grinds up the solid waste kind of like a garbage disposal and then it pumps it out so you could actually pump this up hill if you're down below the level of your uh of your uh rv dump another thing that this one added this year you have your black tank rinse which is pretty standard but there's also a gray tank rinse this year so all that soapy water that's going down into the gray tank you know and you drain that out traditionally through here but you can also rinse that out does have a power cord rail for your hose rail for your water hose there and again when it comes time to uh to winterize it it's very easy to do here's a valve that you know if you're working off your city uh water supply or if you're going to auto fill your tank and then just run off your 12-volt pump low point drains right here very easy to uh to get this ready to store in the winter here is our 50 amp cord and this is a 50 foot cord longer than most it's nice to have this power reel because when you get this out and it is cold in the winter it's like wrestling a snake and your button is over here now just makes it very easy to bring that in you don't get your hands quite so dirty use antrex inverter here if you ever have a problem with it there is a reset you know bill haberkorn can walk you through that but they just make it easy to get to very well thought out these are our house batteries you have eight 12 volt agm batteries it is on a slide out tray you can pull your pin pull that out if you need to service some or gonna jump something it's easy to get to again with that 400 watts of solar you keep those topped off pretty much all the time these are your chassis batteries under this cover here and then another change they made this year is they went to a single tank it used to have dual tanks so you would have to fill from both sides single uh 100 gallon fuel tank here and this is your def tank right here this is for your oasis you do have a air inlet and outlet so if you want to uh you know put some air in your in your tires after you've uh got back from that jeep ride you can plug in the hose right here possibly your compressor has an issue and isn't working and you want to manually put air into your system you can do it right here for your ride you know to air up your airbags one thing i guess i didn't talk about inside but i can show you a little bit right here the superstar and supreme airs are unique in that they still have a four corner air ride suspension this house section and the cab section they they can operate independently when you're going down the road and there's a baffle right in here inside you could see that big black rainbow looking thing if you put your foot you know in the cab and on the other side you'll feel a move independently for all other companies they need to bolt down the front end and lock the cab and the house together so you get a more comfortable ride with the newmar they're the only company that does it this way once again one of the things that make newmar unique and let's finally talk about the engine this is usually where i start this has got your dd excuse me 13. it's a 505 horsepower detroit diesel provides 1850 foot pounds of torque one of the uh real conveniences of the class c is the access to the engine compartment you can see you can check all your fluids check your oil top off your coolant everything is easy to access right here a lot of people uh you know maybe like to do their own
