2021 NEWELL COACH TEST DRIVE and TOUR(with slides in)

i just drove my motorhome a thousand miles of wrestling the steering wheel and this is just just effortless would you allow me to drive a 2021 two plus million dollar coach if not you could thank josh and the folks at newell here because this is an absolute honor and a privilege i'm really excited about this this is the one we're gonna drive this one we'll drive right here this is coach 1712. right now we're around coach 17 uh 14's getting delivered so this is very very new it's within a month uh out of the block i believe this has gone to one show so far so uh it's got a few miles on it kind of see a couple neat mechanical things we have here we have a little uh triple charger right there we have a nice little pressure washer right here to hit new gallons a minute you'll love that i love it do you see you have a switch right there where you can turn your deionized water on and off dude that way is spot-free here yeah man you have uh a connection right down there and connection up front nice so therefore knock the bugs off when you're at a truck stop or something like that or if you want to hook it up back here to wash your tow vehicle or you know or you know everybody hates how that engine gets grungy and stuff oh yeah boom right here so it's really you know you can just wash this whole thing out kind of take a rag and wipe it off with the spot free water you don't have spots all over your chrome and you know your you got that good pop to it yeah you have that good pop to us so the deionized water really makes life a lot easier for our customers yeah and this right here we can also fill you know your tire up um tires up house up to 150 psi nice let's go inside and kind of see what the fuel looks like to slide in this is a 2021 this is a 2021 this is a jigsaw production floor hot off express or whatever you have to say it um yes nice i haven't really been out in the weather yet but of course it's raining today so we're gonna um so we'll get a little it's gonna get a little dirt on it but that's good for you feeling very honored here to take this 21 newell coach out in the rain get it dirty as a detailed guy i would never do this myself but hey if josh says it's okay i'm all about it if you want a test drive you got to really test drive it right not every day sunny yes sir okay you can see so this is what a newer coach looks like with the slide outs in so josh is doing a little last minute cleaning up but we're gonna keep it organic here for you guys to show you what's going on whoa you don't see right through here um easy access to the half bath kind of look right through here is that a little gap right there yeah if you need to you can't crawl over the bed you can shimmy around it per se but a lot of our newer coaches will have a little closet or coat closet right there so you can get right to it pretty easily so you don't have to maybe come all the way get anything out here out of your back closet oh so you've got two closets easy to get to now to take a shower in the back of the coach though you would need to go through there yes i can shoot me around it pretty much about anybody can so josh how much do you weigh 175 pounds i wish i would that's the goal that's the goal but also my goals are on renewal too not fit no i'm i'm a little above uh 250 pounds about 250 so a little above average but i can get around an oil very easily as uh many of our other customers can as well but if you have a hard time getting around the bed the bed also lifts as well so you can easily get around too so can we lift it right now so yeah actually if you want to lift it up right now be easier for me to put that on if you look right here andrew you look on those right there look in the middle yes sir top right i mean top left bed left left hit that right there she hit it okay so now it's not it's it just it lifts the bed from this angle but it doesn't um it's not a folding bed it's it is a folding bed and it does lift it does two different things actually if you lift it right here you see the bed base does not move and so the mattress actually hangs over because we do have an 80 inch in length mattress but in order to get our slide out in if you look right back here you see this right here that little lip up that's actually part of the mattress too when it slides out which we'll show in a little bit we can extend this bed out right through here that way you have a longer bed and it's really 80 inches but if it's tucked in we can have 30 inches in depth slots okay so that way we kind of tuck it back in so we can shimmy around the bed like we did earlier and then also lifts that way everything is accessed to the coach from front to the bottom without your feet having to leave the floor now i'll be honest i have a backpack on right now and i'm being very careful that this backpack doesn't rub up against anything because this is all super nice but i'm you can see i've got plenty of room as you can see we have the tv recess back in a little bit so therefore you can move around you have good you have good shoulder space elbow room yeah it's like say you carrying a backpack right now and you're having no problem at all none at all now that is with the bed lifted but we just saw you get through here serves the purpose of what we're trying to do and accomplish the motorhome where if the slides are out or in no matter what position they're in you can still have access to everything in your motorhome and that's very very important in a quad slide coach that's why a lot of people want to stay away from a quad but really we do a quad very real well because of our room and our height and our chassis and all that it allows us to it gives us a lot of space to do things i've just got to point out while you're talking i'm noticing that all the the detail work on the ceiling like leather and wood really cool andrew did a phenomenal job with this right here and this is a newer ceiling package in our 2021s we're off right now gives a little nice linear look when it slides in it really gives it a good pop because the slots do cover a lot of your ceiling up when they're in so they did a really good job of down the center here yeah that's something a little different because we would have all our acs covering a lot of that stuff up but now with the new and different ac systems doing improved we're able to do a little bit more yeah and we've talked about this how these doors fold in i love that feature that newell coach does again the slides are in and we're easily it to the washer yeah easily do laundry and with this half bathroom right here especially when this door is open you've got that extra room from the half bathroom and real quick before we drive it i've got to point out just how nice the design is here in this half bathroom i get so excited about these noodles here look at this you know the texture on the wall and every square inch just a nice light room there if you are going down the road doing the washing washing and drying and all that you can easily open up this door right here and have this door open too so therefore they won't hit each other okay and that's why we have the pantry door right here that slides out and with the refrigerator right here so we have enough room where everything will be open they're not gonna be hitting each other or things like that yeah what i usually do is use when i'm driving just because once again we want to keep the same theme up of everything having accessible to we do have good drawer storage right here so this obviously isn't the best place to store these yeah what i do with these little ottoman things right here they're great because they do have great storage in them just put them under the put them under the table there and then you've got that open aisle way open our way i went through and measured yesterday and our smallest actual point is right there right here and that's actually 12.1 inches okay so you still have your tightest spots gonna be right at a foot of walkway space now another cool thing is if you look at our floor right here when the slides are in we have no gap we have no lip everything is flush floor slot oh yeah look at that so that's that is cool so therefore you don't have a step up right through there yeah coming through if you kind of look right here where recliner is you can see the seam right there there barely see the scene all right guys we're gonna go for a test drive in a 2021 newell coach this is definitely a treat i'm really excited about this we do have a push button start you have to have a little key fob here got a little green light right there you see on the push button so you can kind of see the screen will pop up nice oh let's turn this volume down and for a 605 that was actually we have the door open right now here behind me so i'm surprised it wasn't loud like if we close this door i want to close this door just close the door here and what i'll do right here is the driver can control everything then just open closed doors without having to get out of the driver's team you'll see it'll lift up and it makes a nice quiet little this is so quiet you wouldn't even know that there was a 605 horsepower diesel what is about a 15 liter or something a 15.1 liter engine yeah uh really really strong engine um 605 horsepower 1 950 pounds of torque so uh it's pretty it's pretty uh strong motor here but a couple other cool features we have here is uh the newel cockpit um i'm getting everything turned on you'll see i can control everything from the coach i can also do it through an app on my phone but you're not supposed to mess around with your phone while driving so we have a nice little ipad here for instance um let's say if you're going down the road and you got a light back there really bothering you you just hit interior like button and everything will shut off hey there or you might have a little shade issue back there bothering you or something you can easily just go to shades and nice so yeah they're i don't know if you guys can see but they're shutting down back there real quick because they can even turn the lights back on right through here very easily and you can you dim the lights as well or if you can see me right here i'm gonna dim the middle light let's then right through here what i'll do is it's just easy right there does it and then we'll go going at 50 percent so you watch we'll go front passenger you can kind of see how that right there and you so you can adjust easily the dimness and the brightness of what light it is and what this is for is so nothing can distract the driver even if you're going down the road we have a lot of different cameras in here if you don't take your mind off of the road your eyes off of the road not your mind your eyes off the road we have a camera up there so something might drop off your countertop forgot to shut a cabinet or something you're not doing this number you just simply look that's a camera of the interior of your coach that is really cool if like your dog's sleeping back there or something you want to check on it and here's another cool thing you see up there that's blank let's see i can change the camera from here up to there oh yeah look at that let's say if i want to go to my normal typical rear which is your rear camera i just have to touch that up there and it goes that this way we can still have our screen out before we mess with the stereo or things like that now one of the cool features we have is is passenger gps and driver gps as i'm turning my ram mcnally gps system on here i can translate this screen right here to this screen so therefore um for instance my wife and i were driving to uh a show recently um i had where we were going programmed into this gps well she wanted to stop and eat where can we find the nearest cracker barrel or something like that she put it in her gps right there all i did was had to touch it over to the passenger and that gps automatically came on so this is so cool that you've got this tablet here that can be put back into that charging station and then you can toggle the gps if uh if you need that it's really a neat feature driver needs to really look at what the passenger has looked up such as my wife for that restaurant i can translate over here to accept the conditions here and there's navigation so rv gps which means we have it set for 13.6 you can do your leveling from your coach and all that but this right here also gives you a lot of good information about the coach as well you can see right through here let you know if your door is a jar your brake life obviously what your tire pressures are uh your trip now a couple cool things it does right here is your screen position as some people are taller and shorter you can adjust your screen position right through here oh that's so cool that's pretty neat right there and then another cool thing is you can do your needle color like for instance my kids love blue i think it's cool we have all blue it's really made for get to your eyes and what's really easiest on your eyes is this all made for your driving to be more comfortable the neatest thing is is you're on board diagnostic information it can tell you if you have a check engine light that comes on instead of troubleshooting it'll tell you what the code is and all that it also gives you a lot of information about it is for instance how many messages we've had from companies a little more details of what they may need from those messages so it's really easy for a technician or whatnot to troubleshoot your coach at 150 an hour rate you don't want to spend a lot of time troubleshooting yes sir yeah that's definitely cool we're kind of thinking ahead giving them where the direction can go is we do have a lot of camera features here we have a left and a right like your typical turn signal so when you put your turn signals on your left side fuel this is really neat right here um your left side fuel is right there and what this is for is when we're pulling to a gas station which we'll show you that in a little bit and we can take that up and also transition that um picture up to there as well yeah so therefore what we do is this right here is where your hub is for your camera but you'll mainly be looking at that feature up there because you'll probably be using this for other gps audio climate and different things such as that we also need to set our mirror so let's get our mirror set in right through here pretty easy i need to mess with that mirror i just kind of touched that go over right there and now we're going to go into travel mode and i'm going to do a little quick walk around and make sure everything is unplugged and done and we're ready to roll a little remote here so you can just easily you can remotely uh start the generator from up top but i like to show this as well because this really shows the quiet features of the coach you'll see watch how this generator is on airbags the 2020 kw martin and you'll see how it really don't bite down here oh yeah that's how loud it is right here oh wow [Music] yeah that cuts jokes out shows how well our coaches are built figure that out okay all right we're backing out now here oh and okay so those lights can we kill those lights behind us because the no problem the camera the shutter speed i need to figure out more of my camera stuff because it makes the lights look like they flicker but they're not flickering in person it's something with this shutter speed or something where this is all being filmed on a 400 gopro by the way so that makes it even better exactly this is organic here ladies and gentlemen i really like that backup camera in the middle of your gauges and then you've got that same backup camera up here as well yeah so it just makes it really really easy you can kind of see the steering wheel oh yeah now a couple different things we can do is we can control easy steer from the from your fingertips right here see look at my steering assist right here yep or i can do it right through here with this thing if i need to go faster i like doing my mind yeah you got that little knob right there it goes a little bit faster a little bit easier to set i set mine at 75 percent now a couple other cool things we have is we have performance when you're in performance mode is doing a little bit more fuel when it's in um economy mode you get a little bit better fuel mileage okay oh my step cover right here yes you're gonna be down right there extend oh nice and it's that same super high-end tile and i've been consistent i've got to point out this is all real carbon fiber here no pretend oh all of this is real carbon fiber i'm really excited i've never ridden in a 2000 i've never ridden in a newell coach period and here we are in 2021 newell coach this is exciting and i'm also too at some point in this drive i'm gonna go sit in the back seat and let you guys know how comfortable it is in the back seat there a gentleman that i did a little bit of consulting for uh asked me about that and i had to be honest that i had never done it before but fortunately i'm here hanging out with josh and we're gonna do it we're gonna get her done so right here what i'm doing is i'm setting the temperature setting for the um the house area right here i can easily do that from my ipad let's go to climate and i have my three zones we actually have four roof airs here but we have three different zones the cab delivering area in the bedroom push the brake in like anything else it's six four thousand alice in transmission six feet lose them go and then uh oh i'm not in ride height i had actually um put it in low ride because we had a 13 two foot uh ceiling clearance okay so right now i'm not in right heights i go back to normal and it's finally put to normal that's what our beeping was nice so so that's pretty cool so you can just lower the coach a little bit yeah if you i mean not many people don't have the big tall door because you know motor coaches have gotten taller 13 6 is the tallest we can go but a lot of coaches were 12 feet 12 feet 10 inches so a lot of people didn't build their doors to be 14 feet tall so we can lower our coach down to about 12 feet 10 inches and scrolling out of really yeah 12 feet 10 13 feet right there depends on what you might put on top with the satellite dishes and different things like that but you do have the ability to do low ride normal ride and high rod if you may need to raise up if you're going over a weird bump or something like that okay so you have that ability to do so now as we kind of go right through here is our comfort drive it's really smooth and easy see everything will center itself back up so let go of the wheel kind of see right now i'm starting out in comfort mode i don't really need to go to sport mode unless i'm have bad crosswind maybe going down a mountain or through some pretty tough hills and stuff like that i really don't put it in sport mode very often as you can see it does have a nice good acceleration we did start running a new gear we're going to 427 gear now it's a little bit different than our 381 gear we used to run and we changed that in coach 1675 so 1675 forward on we'll have the 427 gear and all it does is it really helps us get up and down hills better and really maximizes our full 605 horsepower uh coming's engine we have and i've got to point out like this is not um nothing against miami oklahoma but you guys don't have the best roads here i'm not gonna lie and a lot of coaches right now going down this road you would be hearing a lot of rattles and whatnot in the back of the coach super quiet i can vouch for this one this is this is the real deal this is we have a built-in radar detector and here in miami oklahoma it will get a little annoying so we're just going to turn that off and i can easily control that from the dash here we don't plan on trying to set any speed records today so no reason to have the radar detector on real quick is it okay if i jump in the back couch just on behalf of it yeah it's one of brian pitt's customers so sorry you're doing a little work for brian pitts here yeah whatever it takes it's a team teamwork makes the dream work right there you go all right so we're going down the road and i want to get a good idea so it is it is a little dark back here and um you can turn the lights on you can oh no i'll leave the lights in fact you can actually use my phone if you need to no this is perfect uh it's just enough front light coming in that i'm pretty comfortable so i got to give it a minute or two to kind of sense it but i definitely think i feel just a little bit more of the road than i did sitting in the front seat but i am on a we're on an extremely bumpy road i mean you can see all those rivets in the road there i mean it's the same i'll i'll be honest like i've i rode in that tour bus and and very comparable to the tour bus that i rode in recently if any of you guys had a chance to see that video i could definitely i could go get some work done back here right now while we're going down the road i don't know josh you want to drive it if if we had somewhere to go i would let you drive and uh i would just get some editing done back here but uh so if you're around while you do some work right yeah while we're on this bumpy road i'm going to walk to the back of the coast i think you'd really get a good feel of how um our rear suspension goes good the bumpiest parts can be in the middle of the coat okay nice okay i'm just sitting on this bed i feel like i shouldn't even be sitting on this bed but on behalf of a future renewal coach owner i'm sitting on the bed and i'll be honest this even feels a little bit this is yeah super smooth back here i could take a nap very similar to the tour bus i mean we're still going down the road so you feel like a little bit of stuff but it's like smooth like nothing's jolting me it's almost like i'd say being on a magic carpet would be a good uh good description of it where i know i'm moving but even when we're stopping the coach right now josh you should have been a limo driver man this is super smooth yeah josh said the newell coach is making him look good it definitely uh makes your job a lot easier when you're driving one of these this is it's incredible so we're in stop and go traffic on a super bumpy road i can see we're about to go over this this road is just chopped up here but uh see how it is here i could i could take take a nap back here i'm not lying but i'm gonna i still need to keep holding the camera and keep filming here if i could take a nap though very easily i don't this is smooth this is as smooth as it gets i don't know i mean i don't know how it could be any more smooth sorry are we going onto a smooth road here soon a little bit of a rougher road we're still in the uh downtown miami area but yeah here right through here we got to go to the truck route okay you can see just all kinds of cracks in these roads here so we're not you know you could do a test drive and you could oh this is really amazing really a good you're good showing of what our coaches can do yeah okay you know and that's the thing we could make a test drive video and i could just only turn the camera on when we're on the super smooth roads but this is it's comfortable it's a good testament to what we can do in the conditions that we can um you can be driving in and we try to make it as smooth as possible so you can enjoy it remember rvs must be enjoyment not supposed to be stressful yeah true story it's real nice and easy and we're not in the wildest of roads and the best roads we're going through some um good uh railroad crossing which has always makes some people very nervous going over railroad crossings because you do have a little lift up and we are pretty low to the ground but that's another good reason you could use the uh high rod if you need to and easily change it but even if you see on this pretty steep hill right here we don't need to really do anything we have plenty of clearance and really nothing to really worry about yeah i mean that's that's as bumpy as a road as you're gonna get and the camera doesn't lie so whatever little noise you heard from the camera that's the same noise we heard and i'll be honest if this this is a terrible road right did you did you intentionally find the worst road in oklahoma of shows tell the tape uh of what we can do but really it's just you know sometimes you have to go through some dirt roads to get to the paved roads and this right here is uh about paved as dirt as you can get but we're gonna get to the paradise roads here soon you always gotta walk through a little bit of junk to get to the treasure right yeah true story true story i think we found some treasure here in miami oklahoma and we're and we're riding in it right now this is it as we're getting coming up here on a highway 69 south here we're going to see things get a little bit better but the newel performs very well in rough road conditions very well and it also performs very well in crosswind conditions as well really through our easy steer which i'm going to kind of start explaining right here um kind of see right here you got the steering that cyst see that kind of going back and forth what it is is it's really computerized torque steering so you can see me going turn the wheel here really easy to turn but it automatically centers itself back up makes it really for um you know when you're square and true in your ride but also the cool thing it does is it adjusts for the looseness and the tightness in the steering so if you like a little bit more play in your steering wheel you just simply knock it knock the resistance down a little bit you have a little bit more plate if you're like me you like a little tighter you kind of raise it up fill the orange a little bit more in and you have to get a bit more tighter steering i like it because really in and a crown in the road it'll adjust within 40 seconds so therefore you're not constantly fighting the crown in the road or you're not constantly fighting crosswind between that if you get a really bad crosswind between this right here the easy steer and with the shock package these shock control shock packers we have between comfort and sport you can knock that down to sport and you have a lot more stable coach and really bad conditions it's like i say we don't have the best weather here in oklahoma we have some pretty strong winds so our coach is really built for it and all this goal is to make it so you can go on a nice long trip and not get sore and tired you can really enjoy your uh really enjoy our event and that's what it's that's what you're supposed to do you need to come over this bridge right here now you see we have really good acceleration and um kind of with the new gear you got to be a little too much movement but yeah i think uh we got to keep an eye on the speed limits here this thing's got some power that's for sure so you see right here you can see you have your speedometer right here kind of see you look uh we have a regen in process which means it's doing the initial region of the under 500 mile when the initial one it does to kind of kick everything off this is a new coach it only has 321 miles on it so uh you're really getting to see the real authentic part of nil but if hey if you want to test drive test drive the newest one right kind of see right now we did have a little bit of a rainstorm this morning um 161 i do have the generator going uh just to kind of implement the loudest noise that we'll have in a coach and it's really quiet in here yeah really quite smooth ride you gotta see i'm not having to push the steering wheel around as much but we do have some crosswind and stuff and a lot of that's from the comfort drive you're not constantly fighting the wheel like that oh yeah so really just makes it for a nice smoother riding with the air rod seat you do have heat and ac seats you do have little vibrating massage seats as well that makes it nice anything to do to try to keep the driver comfortable we're all about we have right here we have left side fuel so you're right when you know right when you're at the fuel stop you see i obviously took the camera from down there see left side fuel door put it up there and now i know right when i'm right at my fuel spot makes it life a lot easier especially if you have a tow car if you kind of look right through you kind of look at it and see i'm going right where i'm at oh yeah look at that boom don't have to worry about backing up and also know right where i'm at my depth field and what's really neat is our depth and our fuel tank is right there on the same side we don't need fuel we just kind of wanted to show you guys that right there but i am going to switch the road and have you drive and let me do a little filming guys uh good luck would you allow me to drive a 2021 two plus we'll get you set up here as you can see five hour energy here to gotta make sure i have my caffeine here i don't drink the whole thing just a little bit at a time all right it's just a little pick me up yeah all right you see we have an air ride seat so first thing is is you probably want to adjust move our driver cuddies our driver's cutting move around i like all the little details like the newel emblems and i'm going to take a still shot of that real quick see that right there driver adjustments right here i like the first place i went to was right here so i can move them you got to actually adjust it right back here a little bit you'll be forward backwards up and down your sixth way is right down there and this really feels this feels good it's a good comfortable feel i mean it really does it's a very comfortable seat um you can kind of look right through there is your um steering wheel you can control it right there on your uh left hand right there nice all right now we can look at our accidentally turn it into sport mode well we'll worry about that later we go to mirrors by touching that right there right through there we just push the mirror oh so it's on my left side right here this is cool i'm gonna put a little down i mean it's they're actually pretty i mean i really don't need to even really change them to be honest i mean i'm pretty pretty comfortable oh i can change this one too so even the lower mirror the lower mirrors yeah this is cool so you can change upper mirror lower mirror so right now i'm gonna just put that a little more a little more down i guess yeah look at that man this is this is really a neat this is a really neat driving uh just the way it feels it's just a just really cool cockpit i gotta ask you man it's cheesy it is man you might have taken my picture dude i never get my picture taped you guys i'm a newell fanboy here i'm having josh take my picture of me driving a new world because this is a cool experience for me i never never thought i'd be able to do this thank you josh appreciate that sir they said that there and let's get the door all right let me get everything set too we're going to extend my little and our passenger seat does have some cool features such as it can go back and then it does have a little foot rest and things such as that nice and the pasture can control the music the volume and the uh climate from over here as well nice so a couple things that the passenger does have some some options options on them so we didn't forget about you guys co-pilot the most important pilot yeah that's a true story a true story if you want to go back to your cameras just touch your camera right there and you can go to rear that's something you want to have so you can have that going down the road and then i don't need my so i don't need my fuel camera up here so what you want to do is you see that little button right there yep push that and it will translate that picture up to there so it is a live shot nice okay cool so i've got rear view camera here rear view camera here all right and therefore if you want to mess with your radio your climate and stuff while going down the road you can never take your rear camera off okay cool so okay like anything else you're gonna have to uh put your foot on the brake down there yep all right push the brake in and we hit d right there nice okay it'll go to six one and if you want to mess with your uh jake break those are right there they're on the push button spider control your headlights all that so i like this this guy i got my jake break on high i like that i like the jake brake better than the trans retarder personally does this have the transfer retarder no we only have a two stage date break if you look right there it has uh jake hyde and jake flow we have a two stage works really really well but no we don't do a transmission recharger we just have the two stage jake breaking it works really well for us and uh matches well with um what we do with cummings and everything as well cool okay right now i have your steering assist on so i'm gonna you can adjust um i like this man all right this is a pretty incredible view right here comfort there we go i think we're ready to roll ready all right if you want to be the cameraman there i appreciate it okay we are here at buffalo run in afton oklahoma and andrew steele is taking his first shake at driving a new i'm so i'm not even gonna lie i'm a little nervous here i'm excited i'm nervous this is uh this is an exciting moment here so you kind of see when we try to get some good views of what he's actually looking at right now you kind of see with our new cockpit right through there and good one-piece windshield nice look and then you have that camera right there you can kind of see where the ipad is right there so you can still touch everything yeah but you got a good view of the road as well and i just put down like over a thousand miles in my coach a couple days ago and just glancing down and i had a tow vehicle so i kept having to look back at my tow vehicle and glancing down at that man this is it's just so nice how large that screen is and how easy it is on the eyes where i could just quickly glance down at it and that it was easier to focus where on the smaller screen it took another second or so to focus but this i could just see it focus and then have my eyes go back up to where they need to be we got 600 horse i'm going out yeah i guess he's turning left anyway so we're good wow so this thing just that that first little turn i didn't cut it as wide as i normally would and it even it didn't even matter i could have cut it even tighter than that like it usually you got to go way out now i'm sure you still have to do that in this coach but just not quite as much or not as much we have a 302 inch wheelbase so our front tires are a little bit um further back behind the driver than maybe some other coaches are is that but we turn 38 foot circle in a 45 foot coach think about that 38 feet in diameter 45 feet so we're well over 50 degrees left or right up here now you gonna keep heading straight right through here how you feel so far it feels real smooth this is incredible i mean i have both hands on the wheel because that's just how i was taught but i could literally like just even one hand on the wheel right now it's just really effortless i'm not fighting the steering wheel at all uh man this is on like anything i've ever driven i naturally want to wrestle with the steering wheel because i just drove my motorhome a thousand miles of wrestling the steering wheel and this is just just effortless and i got i got to work hard i got to start making more youtube videos so i could step up to something like this because this is man you can really tell the difference in the front end probably of how how sturdy it is it's a very very sturdy coach yes how much does this coach weigh uh we average about 55 000 pounds um so we are a heavier coach but uh you know it makes it for a really solid ride it's a very solid riding coach it feels more like you're riding in a tank or 68 of our weights on the bottom of the coach actually yeah i know it kind of reminds me of like that s-class mercedes i grew up working for mercedes-benz so it's got that kind of mercedes-benz feel like how smooth the steering wheel is that's that's the best comparison i can think of you know some some funny you say that a lot of our suspension parts our zf does our suspension they're german oh that makes sense so that's why we have like the sport comfort mode really came with uh some technology that uh bmw used yeah okay and um so we've been able to take some technology from some of our german engineering friends and uh tied into a newell which makes it better for you and anytime we can take the automotive feel of comfort and turn into a motorhome feel it makes makes it that much better and it's a porsche designed exterior as well so you guys are hitting on all the sweet spots well you kind of got to in order to uh the rv industry's a pretty competitive industry and you have to stay on top of your game you can kind of see right there here we have good view going through really big nice windows good passenger vps right through there and if you guys see over at the driver here that's a big old smile right there because this is yeah this is incredible wow this is and you can see really well i mean out of this coast you you like the big passenger side window right there i mean driver side window passenger side window makes it so comfortable yeah the view and not only the huge windows but the placements of the camera is like i'm looking out at the window right now but i can still see in my peripheral vision and this is something i notice a huge difference between my motorhome because i have a much smaller screen but i can literally in my peripheral vision still see the lines going so if there was something happening in my rear view camera it's just you can you can literally see your cameras in your peripheral vision without glancing up i'm going to take a quick glance but i don't know how to explain it i don't know if that makes sense but um it's really angled and at the right height for you so it don't take much effort yeah our goal is to give you as much information without distracting you but also let you have as much drought so you're not being distracted and you know what i'm going to be honest guys i bet i'm i'm letting that auxiliary break kick in here because i think i might have been pushing the speed limit just because there's a lot of power in this it uh and it's so smooth too i didn't realize literally i was just going i'm not going to say what i was doing because i don't want uh oklahoma highway patrol to send me a ticket in the mail it gets up and goes you got to watch your speedometer i think that's one thing with these newel coaches is you need to pay attention to your speedometer because it's so smooth it's easy to get up and going in this thing while andrew's driving i can show you some features off of the passenger you have your own fence right there where you control the stereo if you need to as well as the volume the temperature and the brightness of this right here we're at 25 i can easily increase it to 100 percent and you can kind of see a little bit better of what all it does i've literally gotten comfortable with just that one hand on the steering wheel i mean i can use both but it's just are you having a hard time adjusting with the steering assist do you feel the comfort drive oh it's the setting that it's set at is perfect for me i definitely feel the comfort drive i'm gonna put those armrests up for uh i wanna i want you to change the sport mode so you can see a little bit of the difference so what you wanna do is on your right hand the uh top toggle switch yeah push it up sport sport mode you're going to feel the shocks kind of tighten up a little bit it takes about 30 seconds for it to fully come into play we kind of feel a little bit different in the steering and all it is it makes it a little bit stiff of a ride in case the crosswinds are really bad but really i like it when i'm going down a big mountain and if you see that flag here it's it's actually a pretty windy day and um please don't get mad at us if there's any political flags uh it's just that's just the flag that was that yeah we were just using that flag as a representation of how windy it is you see the good old american flag right there you go love that the wind is whipping it is oklahoma we do always have really good crosswind here um it's just a windy state being in the midwest and also um but you can kind of see he does have the steering wheel does cranked up a little bit so he is getting a lot of that um tightness in the steering feel because it is a high windy day and between that tightness and the steering wheel have that adjustability in the sport makes it for a real smooth ride oh this is this is super smooth and i gotta go i have two hands and i like naturally literally fingers it's just not it just doesn't take as much effort to move the steering wheel if that makes sense and the sport mode i definitely feel it's a little more tight [Music] and i keep speeding i gotta i gotta keep looking at the speedometer because it's just so smooth like it doesn't if i was going that speed in my motor home there would be all these rat i mean you would know you were going down the road look at that air ride i gotta kill that air ride a little bit oh man and can you see how the coach really well the mirror the position of the mirrors and all that everything i mean with the mirrors i mean i got it's all i can i can check my mirrors to see like you know the position of the coach that i'm in between the lines there um man i i just the only thing is i really do need to set the cruise control this is the third time now the cruise control was really easy to do okay look right here oh boom you got your own on off that's set boom okay and then you see green light right there yep come out right there and that's how you know it's set you can see we're sitting on the roof i set it at 55 miles an hour just because that's all we need to go and i'll be honest i'm not in any hurry right now i'm going to milk this as long as i can this is an expensive chair right here this is definitely an honor to be sitting in this chair yeah it's right there but it's like this guy's coming up on me and i can see that wow like you can see him coming up quick in my rear view mirror he's in a motor or like a box truck it looks like but it literally i noticed him in my peripheral vision without even like really taking my focus off i noticed something was coming up in my rear view mirror when i slow down there that's really i it's i hope i'm explaining it right but that that 15-inch monitor really is a game changer i try to get it kind of see a little bit more from your perspective of where yeah and the camera only does so much justice the human eye can see so much like our depth perception and how the human eye can focus it's just such another level above especially the 300 camera we switched cameras the first camera was 400 that's the older gopro that's 300 back there so uh we're burning up batteries captain you want to make sure that you had enough battery to really show oh man see it really takes a turn very very well i could just keep driving man let's go to florida let's go bud hey you're supposed to say what i say earlier rving's about enjoyment relaxing this is this is and this is how you start the good trip and a good riding just starts it all right if a trip starts off right it's gonna be a great trip yeah and one thing i also have to point out too is how the positioning of my speedometer you know i've been in other motor homes where you have to kind of like look down more where this is just they really thought this there's that air ride seat again like just keeping it level and i'm going to slow down here we're getting into the problem i'm going to test the braking here i guess there's a guy behind me so i'm not going to really hard brake but uh was that so smooth sorry yeah the engine brake you really don't have to use the brakes as much that's a really solid engine brake there that companies helps us with all right this box box truck wants to pass me here so we'll let him get high in here here he comes and if you notice that i was able to know he was there without even you know without even really taking my eyes off the road this is you really had to move around a lot or to change your position but you've changed a lot within the coach you know you change your camera angles you change your shock package you change your steering oh and i'm back to comfort did i toggle it or yeah you toggled it okay and that right there is if you toggle down as comfort in the toggle up the sport the reason why that is is because most people want to ride in comfort mode so and if you accidentally hit it you'll hit it down so you'll get it back to the okay normal mode just in case but um there's not comfort is just the safest sport it's just a field that's all it is okay it's just a field that's a 45 mile an hour zone but this coach wants to run faster but we're gonna we're gonna obey all the laws here in oklahoma see we're getting back into a bit more of the bumpier roads of miami as we're getting closer in and andrew gets to go through the great truck route i'll let you guys know how it feels and i'm looking forward to getting on these these bumpy roads and even this is a little bit rough but not bad at all oh and the gps will let you know we have a radar detector right there but i turned it off because we're in town and we're not really speeding [Music] our gps will let us know if we're speeding as well after driving this newel coach i understand why they install a radar detection system on every coach because it gets up and going it likes to run these these coaches like to run all right zero to snow i guess i shouldn't do a zero 60 yeah i want to though i just there's one place we could go but we're getting close on time yeah it's all good uh famous mama truck route as you can see not the greatest of rhodes and andrew how do you feel you guys see that smile smile's still there it's and you you can feel a little more just because i mean we're definitely going down a rough road here but it's still not i mean it's it's just all of these stuff like i would be getting jolted other motorhomes that i've driven in i'd be like all these potholes i mean this is this is like some of the worst roads in the country right here i'm not gonna lie but uh i would be getting jolted in other motor homes where it's just it's just comfortable man that's that's the best word i would describe as comfortable it's not you know there's no vehicle that's going to go over this railroad track without hearing something like look there's my my air ride seats going the entire all the way up and down but i mean literally i would have probably hit the ceiling in my other coach you know so it makes a big difference and lost a lot of translates that's the bigger outer airbags those big airbags we run um with suspension obviously the chassis and all that but a number of different parts contributed that but really the airbag gives you a nice good floating feel josh you think there's anything else that you know the folks would be good for them i mean they've seen it on rough roads they've seen the back of the coach that we might do a little thing i might stand outside and watch you turn around so you can see this terrible tag axel actually working to play and how easy it may be to back and stuff and pull in a tight spot here again i'm making this coach like i'm in a traditional motorhome you can like like whip it you know what i mean man this is sorry a lot of traffic here i'm getting too comfortable here i need to uh it makes it smooth yeah i'm looking forward to this i mean we're not i didn't take you on a cherry picking test drive it was pretty in authentic what you need to go through we obviously have crosswind um which we have a lot here in oklahoma but really the roads aren't the best but we did have some good roads too so you got to see the variety from rough roads to small town roads to big nice highway roads and it all did well so one other thing i want to point out is the auxiliary broken great the jake brake it's a two-stage jake break and i wanted to because some of the other buses that i've driven with the trans retarder you really gotta use your regular brake and in my motor home when i take my foot off the gas it shifts the whole coach like jumps forward where this is much smoother and now that i'm like i've driven it for a few minutes i'm getting the the getting comfortable with stopping the coach it's the nicest braking system i've felt because it'll slowly stop the coach but without it being jerky and i don't know it's it's it's hard to explain with words the feel is where you really understand it but definitely a much smoother jake break than my coach but a much quicker stopping than like the trans retarders that i see if that makes sense does that make sense to you josh yeah it makes perfect sense i was sitting here uh well i think what it is is you have a low and a high and low you go off of four cylinders height uses all six cylinders of the engine so it's all working in unison very well together and it's just between that and how we take you know with allison transmission and how we synchronize everything our engineering staff's done a phenomenal job at uh working those fine points um throughout that kind of illustrates how the whole coach rides is a good illustration of that right there when you just described so what you saw i just took my feet off both pedals it's not jerky at all i got to get going now because i'm going to be locking up traffic but literally the coach would have came to a complete stop just using that engine brake and it wasn't loud either like you don't like i don't just when when i use the engine brake in my motor home it's just a lot more it's really loud and grabby this right here is real quiet and smooth and what we don't want it to you don't want to jolt your coach a lot that just this is putting additional wear and tear so the smoothness lets you have more longevity in your coach you're not things aren't falling out of cabinets things just like you said earlier you're driving an earthquake down the road yeah so what can we do to try to make that earthquake as least shaky as possible i guess is the best way to put it and uh stop is an important part uh a lot of people don't think yeah a lot of people don't think about it everybody thinks about the ride of why you're going but not while you're stopping yeah and um at newell you notice like i say we all love rv and our owner loves rv and he goes driving around a lot well if you have the owner of your company driving around in a coach and you pick any random one out at any time you better make sure they all work pretty well and stop really well cause you don't want to have nothing happen to the boss yes sir now uh i've got to ask you so unfortunately i don't have 2.135 sitting in my checking account i wish i did because if i did you'd probably be taking my money right now but uh you know getting financing on these coaches and i know right now there's some some benefits to getting a coach before the end of the year for tax write-offs for certain people what kind of financing can you get on and what am i looking at down payment like if i have 400 grand down um you know i mean obviously with good credit now you got to have all that but um do you know always recommend everything at 20 down the banks will probably do that and with the rates being so low if you put more money down you could probably buy the rate down even lower if you want to but uh rates do you think on a 2 million i mean they range we have a lisa pitts uh brian's wife actually does a lot of our financing for us and i really leave all that up to her because she works with the banks on a daily basis we work with a lot of different banks bank of america incredible bank u.s bank just to name a few and you know what she does is her job to go kind of fight for the customer and get them the best rate possible she really has been doing this a long time she was the vice president of ge financing so she's ran across a lot of different situations whether you might be doing a personal business she really knows how to operate that and i'm getting in the best situation as possible and you talked about you know your section 179 your tax write-off the acceleration depreciation and make sure to talk to your cpa yeah we're not a cpa i am no accountant i just i'm dangerous enough to read irs.gov and um i'll leave it at that and that's um oh i'm doing this wide turn again that i do not need at all is there somewhere where we can do a uh yeah what i want to do is i'm going to get out and do you want to film where you would like for me to film it the uh actual staring of this terrible tag axe when going around oh you can you can film i mean if i if i have any excuse where i can stay behind this wheel for a couple more minutes even like when i pulled that brake every single thing about this coach is super smooth i like how that steering wheel comes up i'm let andrew drive around a little roundabout we have here and you can kind of see the stereotag axle but if you want to try to try to just turn it let's put it to the tech hey you got my camera so guys i may just disappear to florida right now i got the camera and he's got the motor home all right as we're going to shut the door here here we go see the step automatically comes in okay he's taking off he's turning the front wheel see these terrible tag you see how it nicely follows as he's straightening the wheel back up the tag tire automatically straightened back up he's gonna take a quick turn right here you can kind of see the bag just turning did you see one of our other customers are leaving have a good one and this right here is a 2007 and that 2007 has a terrible tack as well as andrew's still making circles around right through here you can kind of see he'll be able to cut that wheel right there in a pretty tight circle right through here and he has plenty of room left to do it as you can kind of see the sterile tag is still working right back in there kind of see how that what's up fellas no problem and he said all works in unison he's having to do nothing but steer the wheel as the front tires and the back tires both work in unison more like a four wheel steering and it also works forward and backwards so this is what we call an active steerable tag axle as literally andrew is doing running circles around me right now see let's see what his reaction was about it i know he's really happy that he was able to uh make the turn around the roundabout here we go so push the button right here what do you think unlike anything i've ever seen oh my goodness i was doing like donuts in a new old coach i said is you literally running circles around us right
