[Music] i'm yuri i'm jacob we're going for a [Music] drive 2021 audi rs6 avant with launch control oh my god god damn horsepower and torque 591 horsepower 590 pound-feet of torque from a twin-turbo 4-liter v8 just cruising gonna floor it okay still very hard but not as fast as right off the line okay so it's obviously fast but what is this car it's a competitor to the e63s wagon and the m5 touring which we don't get in north america and there is no m5 touring in this generation yet yes so we never got that and europe currently doesn't even get it but shout out to speed academy because they're actually building an e39 m5 touring which has been fantastic so shout out pete for that one and we love the e63 s wagon so much the last gen we haven't driven the new one yet but let me boot this through cliche we'll talk about the looks and compare it and then we'll get into more stuff so i will tell the viewers that you are in rs2 mode and we'll explain what that is after dude this flies holy crap oh my god god this car wow that was actually the first time i was a little frightened by your driving i was solid though that was good i have a good driver yes okay okay uh disclaimer we are on winter tires right now because it is early april so it's like it might still snow again but yuri what kind of tires are we on we are on continental winter contacts and the recommended summer tire would be the conti sport contact five so we'll talk about more handling stuff later but i really want to get into the looks because this one is the primer gray that has been really hot since 2018 yes i'm totally over it and i think this looks best in the dark color with the light trim along the bottom i really like this in red okay the red is cool but that light trim along the bottom it makes it look like a future tron kind of car yeah i get that because we have the carbon optics package which makes all that silver stuff carbon fiber yeah which is cool but i'm not a huge fan of carbon fiber like it doesn't like really do anything for me and i love it okay uh so which one what color would you take this in red uh yeah i would definitely take it around i would after seeing it in person and everything go with the other one we found the perfect speck of rs6 that yuri loves shout out bwve 514 that that's gotta be lower i think it's lowered yo that car is way nicer than your car area [Laughter] and then the next thing i want to talk about this is the wheels and the fitment because oh my god like these wheels are gigantic they look so good and they fit absolutely perfectly yeah so they're 22s and none of the audi wheels are bad like they're all so good even the standard 21s and i say standard like they look awesome then you get these huge red rs braid calipers it just you do have to pay 500 to have them in red and there is an optional carbon ceramic package i really don't think you need it but like the fitment and everything then you got air right so it goes up and down not too much but like it's just companies have a hard time making wheels this big fit so perfectly and if we look at the front it kind of looks like an rs5 well it looks exactly like an rs7 because that's what this car is okay with the trunk so rs7 is the rs6 just like an x3 is an x4 kind of it's the sport back version yeah and there is no sedan version of the rs6 which is actually really cool yeah it's awesome that they did that okay back to more look stuff the front we've got the really cool headlights yeah they're the new audi style which is across the board basically and you're pointing out to me that they're doing what everyone else is trying to imitate yeah so i think what audi was able to pull off with these laser headlights is that they can make that super slinny look that the hyundai kona and all those new cars that are coming out they're trying to do that and they have to have these supplementary headlights below them audi doesn't have to because they have a crazy headlight system and then we've got the nice big black grille we've got the rs6 badge in black and then we've got our radars and stuff for like radar crews up there too and it's pretty disguised yeah it's definitely disguised and then we also have a bit of a gap where the hood is kind of like the right yeah yeah and then we got pretty much all real vents up there at the back we've got some fake vents at the bottom around the exhaust tips oh good this car is so sick that like whatever yeah and if we pop the hood it says rs yes that makes sense and v8 yes well it's a yeah it's a lamborghini engine it's a porsche engine it's the same one that they use basically across the board yeah should we talk about the sound kind of quickly okay from in here pretty much nothing from outside pretty wicked yes but not so wicked while driving you have to kind of see it roll by you because it definitely sounds better like that otherwise it kind of sounds like fartiness yeah but it's like it's still better than almost everything else on the road but you can't rev it out in part but i think if you get a tune you can and it seemed like every single rs6 has been tuned right away when they got sold like onto the toronto car spotting thing on facebook people are spawning like three lowered ones that are like fully modded out before there's like any press units out yes so it does sound pretty good but it's overall kind of farty kind of like this throaty weird deep growl it's not quite as good as like an amg system i don't think like this 4 liter v8 just doesn't sound that good in any application that i've heard the lamborghini urus is probably the only exception to that and then moving on to the side view because we keep getting distracted very crisp body lines it looks like almost robotic very future looking yeah it's 3.2 inches wider than a regular a6 and i guess you can really see that in the rear quarter panel yes you can thick boy and then from the back it looks really thick we got 295's just like a lot of other cool cars yes time stamping and the tail lights look really cool they're sequential everything about it just looks fantastic everything like the exhaust tips look good we got the audi rs ovals it looks fantastic from every angle so overall looks wise this or a last gen e63 s okay the last gen e63s is more classy this is way more aggressive and way more future i prefer the looks of the last gen e63s wagon i think so this is so nice and aggressive like but we saw a new gen e63 s wagon in person and that actually looks way better than we thought it would yeah the photos of the new gen e63s wagon do not do it justice seeing it in person is so much better i think they all kind of tie yeah they they all have their place yeah shout out shout out audi and mercedes yeah and then none no shadow for bmw it doesn't have an m5 touring yeah and they even had the three series wagon in canada which recently got cancelled so yeah whatever companies got to chase money at least we got this here yeah even though you can't buy it because i think they've all been booked forever exactly and everyone's like oh no one's going to buy a wagon if it's here everyone's looking to buy suvs guess what this is like sold out for for a long time okay and since they're sold out it's awesome that audi has one on the press fleet because i look at our channel as not only buying advice for people who are looking to get cars i kind of look at as an archive of the cars that came out and the excitement around them when they came out so that's like there's a couple cars that we're missing in our stable of reviews like the gt350r and the focus rs it's like stuff like that that i wish we had yes and it's nice that we do have this however i'm pretty sure this is about one year and what two or three months after we saw it in california when we were there that's like that's like a year and a half full year and a half yeah wow at least we got it yeah i mean canada is just like a little like behind the world it's hard to do things in canada it's hard to get cars from germany it's hard to get cars from the states because the states kind of steals all the cars from canada and getting a car over the border from the states to canada there's so much extra paperwork that people don't want to do because it's just like a few channels up here that are going to like crank the views out and the rest is just like local stuff that doesn't need to be seen by the whole world yeah and then there's like covert complicating things it's it's a very weird world as i think everyone's figuring out right now okay i'm gonna floor and then you can drive all right thank you neck a little slow on that downshift like a tiny bit but after that well i didn't use the paddles but maybe you can okay i'm gonna put you in rs runway mode oh because i'm gonna take off that's an interesting gauge my god okay that's ridiculous fast it kind of slips the initial like foot off the line and then you're just gone it's well i mean okay we are in winters yes we are and like the surface isn't the best it's like consistently solid launches that are like whoa yeah so audi claims a 0 to 100 kilometer hour time of 3.6 seconds i tested this with draggy for 0 to 60 which is 0 to 62 and i got three point five eight with no one foot roll out with the one foot roll out three point three seconds things consistently fast yeah it's crazy fast now i did try to use the paddles but it did automatically okay but if you do a launch like not in launch control like if you just floor it off a light it's so much slower let's just do that very quickly right now no launch control send and then you're missing that initial bite yeah but it always up shifts first in the second and then after that you can then bog do you like the paddles do you like shifting with it because i like those paddles but i find myself not shifting this where i would shift an e63 as wagon to myself no i'm definitely shifting i like these paddles like they're not you know crazy they're not like the new m3 style paddles but these are still nice and no but like the whole vibe of the cart doesn't make me want to take control it feels like it's easier to just automatically take control the vibe of the car is definitely like a very luxurious grand tour of a wagon oh yeah which makes sense like air suspension is standard it is so comfortable in here you can't adjust it but i feel like all the modes are just super comfortable we've been driving in rs mode maxed out which is rs2 and it's just it's it's so comfortable yeah this to me is more of an autobahn cruiser which i guess you can't really do in north america compared to an e63s wagon is more like i'm just gonna throw in drift mode and do donuts yes which this doesn't have i'm not gonna do any of that stuff but i will send it into cliche corner so downshift into a second and let's see oversteer wise a little bit yeah it definitely wants to send the back out a little bit more before it understeers and i feel like this understeers less than most other audi's which is fantastic so when we did that rs5 i claimed that to be the ultimate car if you need to like get away and be fast and not like worry about like slipping out or anything like say you're running away from bad guys or if you're the bad guy run away from good guys yeah like this is the exact same you could probably just fit more bags of money in the bag yeah probably and this is quattro all-wheel drive it is definitely rear biased i think it can send up to 85 of the torque to the back and it definitely wants to send more torque to the back before it understeers which is really nice in the car so nice and sending this through cliche corner i did notice a little bit of rear wheel steering but you really notice it in parking lots and that is an option on this just like the sport differential as an option which we also have man i feel like if you're buying one of these cars just get it fully loaded because like you're in rich people territory so just like yeah use your rich people stuff i feel like this is actually like a perfect spec because of where the price lands like without the carbon ceramics and stuff it's a very good price yeah except for the color which yeah i would prefer different i i hate to use the word value for this but i feel like there's a lot of value at this there's a lot of value for picking up a car in ontario which can't raise the msrp at dealerships if you can get in line and get it then like you can resell what you shouldn't but like it's like a no-brainer in canada in ontario exactly and the steering is also great you can tweak that through here we also do have the optional dynamic steering i mean this this is just fantastic it's really light steering even in the heaviest mode it's like it's just it's such a comfortable car today nothing feels out of place no like the lightness you notice it at the beginning and then like once you get through your corner you're like man i got through there quick and you're like did you know it's light steering like uh i don't know all i noticed i got through fast yes so and then comfort wise okay like yeah on the road even in the stiffest mode it is so freaking comfy where an amg would for sure be a lot more standard exactly like audi nails their damping in terms of comfort it's definitely not the sportiest but it also doesn't feel like it's not that sporty like just barely any body roll like this just feels so good the driving position is also great but you put like two normal people in this and an e63 s bag and i bet you like they're gonna feel like they'll be just as fast through something yeah probably like if you're like hey take this on-ramp as quickly as you can both of them they'd be about the same yeah if they weren't super experienced no and speaking of nice things and luxurious things that this also has because this is a luxury grand tour wagon we also have soft closed doors yeah i didn't expect that but i also didn't doubt that it wouldn't have it yes and then let's get into this infotainment stuff that you wanted to talk about earlier starting with the gauge cluster do you like the rs runway more than the rs performance or the rs sport because i don't really like the rs runway it's like goes down the shift lights are confusing rs performance is perfect and that's the same thing that shows up in your head-up display i actually just want the previous gen circle in the middle back that's all i want which was the former rs performance cage build boost oh my god did it lift it pretty sure it did hopefully but what's awesome about the audi virtual cockpit is that you've got to reduce mode yes all the crap all i want is numbers in the middle reduced mode and shift lights that's what they gave me yes i love it and then we also have our transmission display in the middle so we can go from auto to manual and this is an eight-speed zf and it does shift quickly when you use the paddle so let's just let's just leave it in third coast and then downshift and send that's great but let's just try an automatic like you did earlier but i'm not putting comfort go to competition let it get up a bit first oh okay okay that lag did kind of suck yes but it's comfort mode so that's kind of what it's like the nsx it was like it took an instant to get in but once it was in you're like gone is it fast yes really fast like really fast it's not like the craziest fast right it's it's definitely silly fast but it's not like yeah i'm gonna crash but wait but we are spoiled we are definitely 100 like uh dude our reactions from that initial e63 s yeah race launch oh my send it yeah because that was the first time we got we got to experience something like that and everything else has just kind of been toning it down ever since then because we don't fake these reactions like these are our genuine reactions but it's like we've been so conditioned to crazy fast cars now okay i've actually had an idea where i wanted to open a straight pipes amusement park okay where you come to cayuga and toronto motorsport park and then you know you start off the day doing a launch controlling an e63 s wagon and then you know you do some driving into manual miata and then you do some laps in the veloster end with mark wilkins coaching you over the radio you pretty much do all the stuff from our videos couple visor tests rip a couple off wouldn't that be cool yeah that would be pretty damn cool that sounds like a lot of fun actually yeah one day maybe after covert and you get to drive all of our cars you get through laps in the prowl or the raptor you get to jump the rafter yo how much does this cost i don't know like for free for subscribers maybe yeah maybe patreon that's just my dream yeah so you guys should probably subscribe because we might do that in the future okay visor test all right don't rip this off oh yeah that's right three two one i did it very carefully the cliff came off already well that's a pass okay cup holders um it's very tight but it does fit the cops and quickly on this infotainment because it's the same one in every other audi that we've driven we have wireless android auto and apple carplay it is an option which is nice like you don't have to do wired or wireless yeah and what's cool is you can put your carplay on the very left on the shortcut of your settings and stuff it's pretty good uh i would highly recommend watching our audi i think a7 or maybe the q8 anyways watch our old audi i think the audi a7 would go over this because jacob found out this infotainment and the best thing about audi cars is when we get them they come with these cool audi uh android and apple cables to plug in yep that's awesome that like the manufacturer actually gives you these oh it's fantastic and in terms of drive modes we did say we were in rs2 earlier that is the mode that allows you to adjust the esc rs1 does not allow that but it allows everything else and we do have a really nice rs button on the steering wheel you can also independently control it through the infotainment and then we also have the drive select button yeah it's pretty straightforward it's like the am buttons on the bmw but it's still just one button i still think those are better yeah yeah yeah and then we have a ton of gloss black in here unfortunately and i don't know if it's the price where it doesn't matter because this is like a family car like it's very fast it doesn't matter dude it doesn't matter it's expensive and then we got like this rough carbon fiber stuff which is nice well just clean interior the double sunroof is nice the seats are very comfortable do we have that we have massage right we do not have massages i don't mind we got rs seats they're cool they're cool and then we have a ton of room in the second row which is fantastic and then we got a ton of room for the box test box test one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven and unfortunately these boxes don't fit in the rs6 but with a little bit of force dong else box might fit 12 boxes in the rs6 and then we also have peasant blockers in the back which is really nice or baby shades peasant blockers well they're kind of they're definitely blockers i got an appointment today i will take the baby in this instead of the long-term rogue and i'll hit those up oh yeah i see how my wife likes this instead of a rogue baby's content with 500 horsepower i think that needs to be the minimum so i think that's pretty much everything for the audi rs6 review for the straight pipes archive of videos for cool cars for when they came out yes time to get to the price even though you can't buy one because they're all spoken for maybe next year anyways the price starts at one hundred and twenty thousand four hundred dollars and this one is optioned out to a fairly reasonable 136 thousand seven hundred and ninety five dollars as an e63s competitor more of a chill chilled out version like you don't have like rear wheel drive only it's more comfort it's a perfect enemy car for the e63 wagon yes and it's kind of funny because this looks way more aggressive but it doesn't drive more aggressive than that you might have a faster top end speed for like for what's that but this has slightly less yeah this has slightly less horsepower and stuff and stuff yeah so i don't know it's a great car love it so let us know what you think of the audi rs6 i personally loved it and i'm still not sure if i would take this over a new e63s yeah we're gonna have to decide which one's better with a wagon battle or potentially just review the e63s by itself we're pretty busy i've got a newborn it's really difficult wagons for newborns though [Music]
