2019 Gold Coast Race 1 - Stadium SUPER Trucks

we've got ten stadiums super trucks here that have been imported from the Robert Gordon Motorsports headquarters in North Carolina they were refurbed after the last round of Portland in Oregon at the start of September shipped down to Australia during the week and then ready for blast off their return if you didn't see our coverage yesterday confirmed an eighth round series back in Australia from next year of the Adelaide 500 we'll take in some of the tracks collect eights mania Townsville CB motorsport market will end the series right here mr. Reisman deserts of time between Harland and Brabham so far after 17 races that kicked off at the Circuit of the Americas earlier this year in Texas these two guys will square off in this championship where this 87 was going to end up he glances the wall takes a bite out of it like a shark that spins around biffle's go which way do I go and price who now sheds his skin continues to lead this race water is unchanged first second and third now ingress is battlepack coming through turns 12 and 13 I'm back - yeah I was just going to say it looks really angry time to dive in there pretty good I don't think he didn't try to take the lead when they're totally went around there's like literally I know he's got him a mallow dude he's like what is actually happening in front of my eyes right now I've never seen anything like this nor have or have week so looking really good as they go down the front stretch bill hi [Music] Gavan harlot I called the Cobra because he will strike so quickly way like the thrills do and then put in some good laps yeah everyone's fast as there's no weight greed here run it's all on a mile so all the fans are cheering it's it's amazing what you can see when the defending stadium super Truck Series champion leading the points in 2019 as well he runs for toll pods runs in fifth position the security state bank number 60 there he is the green truck sitting behind buddy program right now behind him is Russel Engel Robby Gordon gab Harlan and Paul Morris at the tail of this field expect that to change when we come back to green flag racing and we are going to be going green flag this time around we are scheduled for ten left I'm I'm up in the air on this this could very well be considered our comp caution every lap bait out here is a lab counted a quick replay right here we saw him get into that better yesterday did to get a day there will be a penalty assessed by that but did race control catch it we saw did they get that angles on and were they looking at that screen when it happened so if there's a good chance that Russ Engel is going to get caught he should be getting sent to the rear of the grid and we'll be looking to see if that happens it looks like he doesn't want to Robby's pulling up on him now Race Control could speak to all of them yeah it's a matter if they listen or not so they all know that every one of them is listening you can tell the way it's happening right now Robbie's trying to get by Harlan's like I don't care what happens I'm gonna have the movie out of the way Ross is saying no no no I'm staying where I am so we'll see how this unfolds they might just throw it green and then deal with it post race and so we'll see if that bait we might just go seven straight laps here this could be could slid all the way there Robbie Martinez off my freaking car exhibit round Gordon and both Harlan as well so now we've got a Heinz sandwich there's a lot of in that sandwich as the barrier went flying part of the rules we have in stadium super truck racing it used to be a complete lap but Detroit a couple of years ago it was deemed to take too long to do a lap so we've been right around to the back side of the circuit and gave him virtually the final sector to regroup we take some replays here who climbs across the right front wheel of pole Morris's entry now Harlan you could say that maybe he didn't see the dude right there but I think the dude was not far enough we're gonna find our not Heat yeah he knew what was going on but he's got his race face on got in there got a little bit aggressive and we've seen some aggressive moves in between Harlan and the dude in the past that's not the first time they've swapped paint that lead that was Harlan right there they hit back so they're getting ready to go green flag this time by this would be another single-file rolling restart with the possibility of just two more laps depending on time right now we're scheduled for 10 but we've also have a time limit as well so boost bobbles DAC car superstar toby price are there two timed a car winner island front no lapse in practice but man it looks like he did a hundred laps this looking at Bryce Eagle Potts Gordon and drabs not any real big surprises up there from very impressive for both toby price and for a Biffle I said a golf Greg Biffle we have not getting much seat time for Chuck Smith never been and on and they're running like the top dogs that they are he's trying to make a movie come to force the door open I'm christ you watch car parts here on the way down to the final chicane so he's showing his nose for Washington across the red one-sixth as they fly through the beautiful blue skies at his Surfers Paradise price looks up can you pull it up into turn number one only just talk about pushing the limits of what is possible here in these super trucks tobe priced really making it happen looks like Gordon he makes a couple passes very quickly gets up into p2 and I was best about to say if you some controlled violence hakurei stretch watched paul potts this is when he gets down to the nitty-gritty and he will do all kinds of crazy moves that seem outrageous but yet he knows what he's doing and he's right behind the fifth right now what is the best to sponge stuff I don't know as we were side-by-side again grab him Gordon right in their windshield and rear shoe rear mirror told me Christ a lot of pressure our price right now Oh bad he's got two of the toughest guys in the study of super trucks he straight boats former Series champions but the load of big tree snakes their name and a guy in front is one back up against the wind truckers across the KMC wheels ramp we go it'll be one lap to go at the end of this it's go time for Gordon watch him try and push the door open here and he's all made money problems might just go along to wish him luck I'd say right now from diving board and start our way back in the last wishes he was your bass quaver he got the money he got the points he started in the 10th spot he is now all the way up in p2 about the stock girl s in final lap right here you are gonna see some a major now boots up in the second position Christ will drive this down the middle for the entire lap and protect this lady's head in with a 360 at the start he covers off the guys behind as down the middle as you like it's the turn for hairpin grabbed and squeezed up against the wall mr. Ram somebody had to miss the ramp right there but game he game not allowed to gain a position by doing that you can miss the ramp of your hair on the side of safety perhaps did that that was a smart boat but he was not able to take the lead right there that would be illegal he'd lose two positions over the mix so keep in mind random who's trying to force his core open they both lock on the top contact our price is going to go around this is so unfortunate the dock our champion he will go from first to last and Gordon through all of this from the back of the field at the start of the race and look at there is Gavin Harlan as well we haven't talked much about him in the last couple of laps all sudden now he's fighting for a podium as well so the Cobra he's been making strikes in fight [Music] get a problem right there it's now they're back and forth back and forth Robby Gordon driving like he's got the elbows up looking in the mirror it's boarded and rattled coming to the checkered flag is going to be Gordon and it's only going to be my truck link at the end Brabham tax football in that car low-performance entry what a thriller once again the stadium super trucks on their return take a bow that was awesome Gordon and Brabham from the back of the field at car parts this is going to crab this car back to the finish line the security State Bank number 16 he was on target for a top four finish will dribble his way down to the finish line but you've got to feel at the tobe price in this one he led the race he hit the wall the 360 but the pressure in the end was too strong and a bit of contact at 11 put into the back of that field want to shave here's some highlights here's were on board with Paul the dude more of course the whole 4x4 and that's what happened Oh in the same section we saw Biffle have a problem yesterday pots did the same thing all on his own just like Greg Biffle did the tightest section of the track right there we've seen a lot of that in all the different categories so big trouble there for the Hawks Morris had to go back to the turn before but this is the moment both trucks locking up rabbit down the in son he got into the inside on the 87 had said the field scattering and Bacall parts he just made it through [Applause] he would drop looks at position number six who doesn't my mom what a tearjerker right here for Toby price the brass just got to the inside of a bunk up a little bit where the dirty wasn't race it goes away more races there's anything you're down to the last lap anything could happen here incredible finish that was all they could race late in the race and they did that in race number one the stadium super trucks returning to Australia and Robby Gordon chalks up another victories 24th career victory in the series ahead of Matt Brabham Gavin Holland Greg Biffle Russell Engle Toby price dropped from first back to sixth ahead of Bill Hines Paul Morris and cold pots for nine surviving trucks in that Dolan who went out early on in the first part of the race that was cool well I'll tell you what Stadium some trucks we're back we are back and we're in full effect as we are getting ready to go over our fuel the highlights here I don't think we have enough time to cover them all because that we have to watch you tell your racer exactly here's how it started ten beautifully presented Stadium super trucks looking shiny under the skies but it didn't take long for the carnies to unfold here is toby price and let us down to the chicane for the first time Greg Biffle on his first rent second for majority in this race while roaming going in that Brabham they came from the fifth road get to the top of the Tatsuya that was absolutely huge but their Norlin early on a wild ride in the first night Bernal and then here's the big one Toby price I'm around hey boost gives me back forward forward again red pimples like what is going on why did I sign up for this because there's another one a good look there at gold as well now we're looking back at the VP's driver of Harlan right there then here comes Robby Gordon smoking the tires off hard we saw every competitor make some type of mistake they were pushing the limits of what's okay to go fast and these vehicles here been really heavy on the gas they wouldn't have it in the other way with those people landed awkwardly on cross the first rampant allowed gone and hand-grabber this is the key moment of the race they both went past Cole punchline he was sitting still and then the moment of the race Brabham down the inside boat blocking tires up and just punched 97 down in turn number 11 which turned into a car parking lot then at turn number 11 it put towards the lead but it wasn't done here it wasn't done there that's called pots all on his own we saw that yesterday with pimple as well and I'm a wild ride of the finish and there yes boom kits in the wall thumbs up to the crowd well done the entire field but Robbie going from the back of the field collects the win in race wanama study
