2018 Vespa Combat Troodon Style knife. EPIC OTF!!!!! $160?!?!?

what's up everybody out there in YouTube land purply DC back again got a question for you guys what do you do when you want this but you don't you can't afford that and you want maybe something like this and you think oh maybe I can afford used one of these like uh I want something a little nicer than that what do you do we now have the answer you buy one of these what you're looking at is the brand-new updated Vespa combat Troodon clone but make no mistake this knife is above and beyond anything I have ever shown on this channel I am so impressed with this knife that I honestly do not understand how they were even able to make it and let me go into that and in further detail what you're looking at is a one-for-one replica of an older-style combat Troodon what the older-style handle without the grooves what they did was they milled out the handle top and back and they put in flush carbon fiber inserts beautiful carbon fiber it's got a kind of a rough texture to it but it's pretty much seamless there's no area in where the carbon fiber sits higher or lower than the frame there's no gaps it looks very very professionally done steel vespa pocket clip great retention slides in and out of the pocket with absolutely no problem whatsoever will not tear up your jeans ceramic ball glass breaker absolutely stunning knife what you're also looking at was a four-inch blade s35vn flat ground to a very high Sheen if you can't see that already in the pictures beautiful carbon-fiber inlay on the blade which is also flush there's no feeling of any ridges there's no gaps the blade grind on this thing is absolutely beautiful now note one other thing do you know that there's no spring sing or zing when you open and close the knife that's not because I open this knife and did my little magic that I do with all these knives they have designed these to not have to make those noises to begin with and I did not put any grease in there or any type of oil it's this thing is running 100% dry and it flies now that's all impressive enough but what really really impresses the most is when you start to look at these knives on the inside what you're looking at is a 7075 aluminum alloy that has been anodized that is not paint here you can see the inlay as a contrast with the blue a lot better look how seamless that is I mean they followed the contour of the top that is absolutely beautiful and if you look at this blue this blue is much darker and much more attractive than the previous blue and you can see that there's even some nice horizontal brush mill lines going through the aluminum that really really took the dye nice beautiful beautiful craftsmanship you'll note that the sliders are now made out of TC for titanium and yep they are anodized green very hard color to hit on an anodized very easy to overshoot that color what I really love though is the new firing mechanism you got a stainless steel carrier stainless steel Clips dual springs but check this out these clips have been redesigned so that they lock on to the carrier plate so when you open this knife you will never have these Sanko flying across the room like they used to awesome awesome touch in these parts these are better made than anything else I've ever seen come out of a out the front automatic everything is polished and then given a nice stone wash finish I mean I wish you could feel the heft of these parts absolutely amazing everything fits together so smoothly it's just you really should buy one of these if for any reason than to take it apart to admire the internals gorgeous gorgeous work hardware like the stop pin seems to be beefed up a little bit screws are absolutely gorgeous look at that close up of this blade with that let's see if I can get that man god I love the work Vespa is doing now the the attention to detail goes all the way down to the tool that they give you that is a very nice tool imagine what that would cost from another well-known American manufacturer you'd probably be looking at 40 or 50 bucks just for that included as is two extra Springs a couple of springs for your thumb slide and some extra screws for the handle should you lose one the action on this knife second to none it is so smooth in so fast I am absolutely just I'm over the moon I really am and I know that every time I do a review it seems like I'm gushing more and more but I'm telling you every single time a company in China comes out with a new knife they uh they they up the game and this is no exception it this knife is on par actually it's better than any other out the front I've owned now you guys saw that two thousand dollar deadlock I had great knife no blade play and it was a handmade custom knife made in like somebody's garage I mean they're made with minimal amounts of CNC equipment there and even the CNC equipment that they do have is not like the stuff you're gonna find in a modern factory they're making that stuff work through sheer talent this I have to say has better fit and finish than that knife did the blade grind is dead even how many times have you gotten a double edged out the front and then that line for the dagger grind is way off center makes you wonder you know what kind of eyes somebody had when they looked at it doing the quality control on it the blade grinds on these are absolutely stunning look at even the inlay note how that line in that line are equally distanced from the center of the inlay do you know how many combat drones I've had where this area looked totally jacked up in the area that they mailed out in the center of the blade was not actually on the center of the blade way too many times to count blade polish is exceptional now this is where it gets to just be the icing and the cherry on the top of this sweet sweet cake we got going on and that is the amount of blade play that this knife has for instance this is my genuine Microtech Ultratech that has got some serious side to side horizontal play it's not as bad as other ones that I've had but it's not the greatest still it's a good knife this however I am manhandling that blade when you just grab this side to side barely perceptible front to back so slight you will be astonished I don't know how they did it because it's never this knife never fails to fighter now full disclosure this knife was acting up out of the box but I talked to the guys at high-end EDC and they have assured me that no customer knives from this point forward should have any firing or retracting issues and I've got another customer who has already got one of these knives who had one that he said is a little bit intermittent but it we've been assured that those were the first couple prototypes and they have gone back and reworked the mechanism and nobody should have anything that misfires so to get that out of the way I would not let that concern you because as we know even if that happens send it to me I will fix it for you because you don't want to deny yourself the ability to own this knife this knife you're not going to find a better out front automatic for this price and that's where I forgot to really mention isn't it the price one hundred and fifty nine dollars mic drop where are you gonna get this noir carbon-fiber inlays in the blade the handle the frame carbon arena titanium actuator button those amazing internals s35vn blade with the carbon fiber inlay razor screamin sharp no worries anymore these things are come and screamin sharp best out the front for the money Bar None guaranteed what else am I forgetting Oh another cool feature on this knife internally I don't know if I'm going to be able to pick it up on the camera you know what I wish I could just remove it I don't have anything to take it out right now but if you look in here this forward locking cr4 that blade is actually heavily grooved so that the edge of the blade flies through that groove and it won't dull your top edge denominators I've had where after firing and in and out you develop flat spots on the back edge of the blade because it's rubbing that locking sear will not happen with this knife every single thing that was a problem with the old way of these knives being made has been addressed even the tool when you put this tool in the hall and you start moving the screw on the old knife you could run the risk of the edges of this tool running around the outside of that hole and removing your anodizing this one has been shaped properly and there's no rub it works perfectly very high-quality - sorry high quality tool to be included for free that's amazing and as you know this does come with the Vespa pouch which I have seen to misplace here we go classic Vespa pouch that you can know and love there's the hardware for the other knife the action is just butter smooth - I'm telling you man absolute best out the front not just for the money I mean let let's just say you spend 159 on that that's two hundred and sixty it's an extra hundred dollars and I can't really figure out why now as you can tell the blades are gonna get fingerprints but you know what gives me a reason to wipe them down doesn't it I like playing with my knives but what the cool thing is is finally you have a knife that has the look and the feel and the materials of a high end out the front automatic at a price that most people can afford and you can toss this in your pocket and use it all day long this I don't even like bring it around and using because of the purple it's my favorite color it was a gift I just I don't want to use it I'd rather keep it nice for no other reason but just because I don't like carrying $300 knives and losing them that what's up this I can toss in my pocket use it all day long it looks beautiful it's got the materials to match and what's amazing how many times have you gotten a knife because of the specs awesome blade steel awesome handle materials awesome everything except for when you pull the thing out of the box and it either doesn't work or it's got scratches all over it or the fit and finish is just really horrible and you got like a million things wrong with it this checks all the boxes in fact it really really goes above and beyond anything you could expect to have at this price point China not China I don't care this knife I will put up against any micro tech in the sub $1000 category I've had I've had them I've seen them I've opened them up the game has officially changed if you guys have any questions about this fine knife and you want to know more about it or if you have any specific
