a deacon Colosseum for football might look and sound like this [Applause] rats have won the toss and they deferred they'll kickoff to the Seahawks rigsy rely on already diluted the rams trying to finish strong to go eight and eight seattle going to the postseason but will they be the number one seed or dropped somewhere else doug baldwin back to receive and the final regular-season game of 2013 he is underway seattle will take over offensively the 20-yard line russell wilson coming off his worst game of the year but as he said using a baseball analogy sometimes you have bad games going oh for five you put it out of your mind you bounce back yeah i'm really curious to see how he responds and he's got to get help from those wide receivers Doug Baldwin Golden Tate they were covered up big time against Arizona I know they've worked hard beating man coverage all weekend practice offensive line protected pretty well last week hands full today against these Rams this group up front can really progress in the prices Marshawn Lynch the carry falls down gets back up and tries to get back to the line of scrimmage Robert Quinn Defensive Player of the Year candidate leads this Ram front leads the NFC and sacks Robert Mathis and a sack today the move into the NFL weeks but this defense has carried the Rams in great success in the last few games and they can really ruin the game plan for Seattle with their front 7 those defensive line in these linebackers Alec Ogletree and James Laurinaitis have to play great today to take pressure out for that secondary that's a little bit limited looking forward to this matchup right here general is golden Russell Wilson second [Music] [Applause] Miller who had the touchdown catch last week in that loss to the Arizona Cardinals and this really is the down for Russell Wilson third down awful at times this year certainly in the last matchup against the Rams he said this is the key down for us we have got to convert on third down we got to control the clock and keep their defense on their heels last two games five for 26 on third down they need five Wilson's throw open but missing Doug Baldwin in Seattle with a three it out forced to punt I love the concept and those are one of those one of the things they've been working on how to beat that man coverage they're on a quick little crossing route right at the line of scrimmage receiver wide open Russell Wilson missed them Justin Bell tongue back to receive Ryan's food save on Austin tried to go got into some practice on Friday they worked him out prior to the game but that high ankle sprain keeping the rookie returner for the Rams pitch this deep inside the 10 there are no flags not yet that's all it's up across the 16 yard here comes a flag late as there's some sideline activity going on one of the Seahawks got knocked out after the boy was over away from the football that was a 66-yard punt from John Ryan look like John Ryan was hit by his own man a Seahawk player as he was as he was punt in the football here's John Ryan here the rush is coming so he's got to speed up his kicking delivery a little bit no doubt Farwell hit him Heath Farwell was the Seahawk that ran into Ryan Jeff Triplett our referee today later we return healing block and black numbers Michigan return team play is over personal foul and this is very restless number 95 [Applause] first down Nacala Eugene sins there were a couple of different penalties with seelix taking the unsportsmanlike conduct and effects of the Rams Zach Stacy carries and Toby McDaniel on the stop for Seattle Rams using their sixth different starting offensive line in the last eight games jake long injured last week the Kellen Clemens since taking over in week seven for Sam Bradford who was injured has gone four and four as a starter in the whoopi running hoping to get a thousand a sporty - wait chance starting but once he's been in there over 960 yards rushing of course that was the number coming into the day and probably is it going to be the Offensive Rookie of the Year when you look at Eddie Lacy and some of the other guys offensively but Zac Stacy without question is in the conversation what a steal [Applause] Stacy again they can't block Tony McDaniel it'll bring a third and long and the noise Kellen Clemens talked about a whisper huddle they don't turn up the speakers and RAM practice to deal with the puck is here well that's why this is such a great home-field advantage in you add the elements and a good football team and then couple that with this crowd in the crowd noise and they don't just rage when the offense gets to the line of scrimmage they are ripping right Bowl playing in front of his home crowd today with friends and family in attendance cheering him on Kris he's got family friends in the crowd Russell Wilson going to the Pro Bowl from the table after a couple of three announced first Hawks rowdy McLeod brought him down not after he gained 14 yards and watch this going to start this way and it's going to cut right back up inside for Marshawn Lynch because of the pressure Zack Miller was in the area and that's what Russell Wilson does not need to do they're too good on special teams and on defense for Russell Wilson to serve up plays like this at times you just got to take the sack and live to play another down he got good pressure on him Ogletree comes unblocked goes he steps up in the pocket tries to flip it out there and that is not a out to you they took it from the Rams originally that's the fiftieth sack of the season for the Rams and second consecutive 50 sack season as Ryan comes on to punt Rams in the last two years have more block in the process but more than anything forced him to speed up his delivery as he kicks it and then he can't just float him up there high with all that hang time that's what riot has become a terrific kicker directly he said the plan has changed this year to kick it high and give the special teams unit a chance to get down and have done their job allowing the fewest return yards Ellen Clemens throw another than one good run by Marshawn Lynch that equaled a first down Seattle has been able to do nothing offensively in their three Drive a lot of discussion going on there are four fouls on the play that's why it took so long running into the kicker number 34 and they keep the receiving team holding number 95 of the receiving team personal foul number 34 and the receiving team personal foul unnecessary roughness number 57 of the ticking fee by rule all those killings all stats replay fourth down penalties on one play two of them were on chase Reynolds of the Rams and somehow it's not threaded how do you three and one offset one another and they're safe Reynolds their 34 running in de we don't have time to show all the other infractions but as Jeff Triplett explained and we appreciate him discussing it's by rule they do offset even though three were called against the Rams and want to get Seattle so back it's a putt standing at his own end zone is Ryan locket absolutely perfect and I don't think this penalty is going to be on him look there is no halo rule pro-football you just got to give the guy a chance to catch it there's no fair catch a 54-yard punt without a return and the flag came late way late away from this play ball is spotted at the 28 yard line of the Rams Jeff Fisher's got to get his team together on the sidelines and get all those guys calm down there as they cannot self destruct in this game we have two of the more penalized teams in the league it's in Seattle's number one in that department you don't want to get off the rails either one and that's what zip triplet and crew were trying to officiate here we have four penalties on one play a moment ago [Applause] in fact that they're talking to Pete Carroll looks like they're looking setting up to wreak ich this thing we're 15 15 minute Brittany will set off we're at all yeah what's gonna go another 45 it's gonna be fun watching this let's see what another or not now they're setting up the Rams on offense there is no foul then player hitting the receiver it was block into it after the play is over personal foul unnecessary roughness number 50 on the kicking team that will back the Rams offense up 15 yards problem is is Ray Ray wasn't on the kicking channel with a return to the play and at the end of the first quarter the penalty against the Rams they have the football the Seahawks have the lead with a lot of stake in the playoff picture so they'll heat it here in Seattle is with begin to his second quarter to Bryant Chris Myers Jennifer Hale on the field you see coaches being talked to after back-to-back plays that had a number of flags body so the Rams who were going to be at the 33 just beyond their own [Applause] Seattle try to nail down the division in the number one seed in the NFC 49ers are leading in the second quarter in Arizona 17 to nothing Carolina has already won today when the a/c sound the Saints are leading by seven in the going nowhere if they can get those two inside guys blocked at being Tony McDaniel and Brandon me Bane and both of those guys have been terrific so far in this game you know when you're a division rival to them as we look at the first quarter numbers you see each other twice a year even if the Rams [Applause] and make sure the Seahawks and Indonesia personal emotion second intern slipping and you think about the quarterbacks that he's played against in this division and that Andrew Luck and some of the other guys Fisher said he's never seen anything like Robert Quinn and Jeff posts a lot of good posture 25 yard line that's the fifth carry of the game for Marshawn Lynch I play one good thing about Quinn and it's not just rushing the passer he is a terrific run defender and sent that edge and here's a good example of the watch he's gonna get inside there a VOC comb then he's going to take out the full-back lead block which gives his teammates opportunities to scrape over the top and make a tackle he is a very underrated run defender Marshawn Lynch has not had a 100-yard rushing game in the last five [Applause] he's got a first down Robert win put pressure on Russell Wilson he pops out to the right Chris long loses contained and here's the crosser right there his Golden Tate - slow rolling it across the middle of the fee and sitting down in between the linebacker safety take a mat as the leading receiver for the Seahawks for 56 catches and four touchdowns from the 37 yard line which the 41 left out up to 42 [Music] and does a whistle away from the player got the guys gets cranked up watch how this translates Chris to all the play-action opportunities later in the game for Russell Wilson if twins can keep of God for the 24 in the round take motion no play there's a flag a whistle [Applause] [Music] folks start number 76 new offense five-yard penalty compete first down dawn Russell of Kuhn the left tackle who has been battling a toe injury remember when they met earlier in the year the Rams dominated on the defensive where I should say on the line of scrimmage the attack and starting tackles worth therefore she out we had seven sacks he gave up 135 yards of offense to Seattle they had their number that day backed up at the 29 15 [Music] [Applause] and that's the beauty of Russell Wilson once they get a little rhythm going running the ball hit defenses on their heels a little bit and it's about number three getting out of the pocket extending plays and making plays as he did there a gain of fourteen it will be second down and one offensive coordinator Darrell Double [Applause] [Applause] and talk about these phones well and he's seeing the cutback beastmode laying right there and chris long just can't take him down as he's getting blocked sideways that's the beauty of Marshawn Lynch if you don't get a guy in front of him and you're taking planting ankle tackles at him he's going to break most of those going to the Pro Bowl he tweeted out he doesn't talk much he said I don't know why y'all like me but thanks for voting for me his teammates love them first and goal from the 8 [Applause] this time powering through Kendall Lankford to get down to the six and a half yard line and if Lankford doesn't make that play Lynch maybe walks into the end zone it was well blocked except for the one guy there as Kendall Lankford was able to bounce off the garden and there is a big running Lane there Kendall Lankford there he is on Joc kamini he's able to disengage and shet back out to the outside and get Marshawn Lynch just as he passes the line of scrimmage now second and goal at the 6 over 1,200 yards including tonight for the season for Lynch he's got 11 touchdowns Russell Wilson wants to trawl he's spread that around at the 10-yard line it's another sack for Robert Quinn 19th the season is a half sack line Mathis for the other fill lead first you're going to get good pressure there by Chris long then Quinn just really keeps his motor running as Russell Wilson steps up in the pocket Robert Quinn just keeps going and that's the thing about him now he can turn the corner you get your ads but his ability to first and then finish it's been all Golden Tate they've been able to run the football the defense has been outstanding but you're right I mean the number one seed they'll be my favorite in the NFC to get to New York and play in the Super Bowl but their passing game as a course collectively is gonna have to pick up the pace Carroll said you know it's a reminder of actually Russell Wilson called it a wake-up call but Pete Carroll said you know what happened last week reminds our team that we can lose at home we're not invincible and after today after this game we mean in the Seahawks were in elimination games I mean we still have to win to to get to the Super Bowl yeah I think one thing about Pete Carroll that's great whether they're at home or on the road is he coaches every game like it's playoff atmosphere and he told us out a couple of weeks ago he's that we have played every game like it's a playoff in terms of how we look at it what our perception is and now when it is real and it's authentic it really allows us to play pressure free and they've done that today on their way to their 13th win and we make a lot about how they win at home but they said a what record for the road
