I just hear Gruden's voice and start knocking on wood

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this the game when we set the old noise record?

26 minutes in (about 3:00 on the clock) they're on the 4 yard line, reminds me of the superbowl with the pats. On that drive:

1st down: Run 2 yard gain to 2 yard line.

2nd down: Run for no gain

3rd down: Pretty similar looking quick slant for the TD.

I'm no expert on nfl plays but that sure looked pretty similar to me. I don't have any deep analysis of it, I just thought it interesting to see a similar situation and similar play when it works, and tired of the "should have run it" meme.

Dang, this was such a great game to watch in real-time. I remember feeling like this was the big test for us before the start of the playoffs and the week leading up to it had so much hype. I was so intimidated by the Saints offense at the time and this was like peak Jimmy Graham dominance with Brees. But then it just felt like we were in complete control of this game from start to finish. The Saints offense couldn't do a damn thing against us. The LOB gave Graham hell all game as well as KJ's stellar TE pass defense. And then on the other side we moved the ball so well. Gotta love those classic Zach Miller late release seam or drag routes on 3rd down. Seems like we converted so many of those that season. And then Gruden was in the booth just gushing over our dominance. That season was so damn special.

I was at this game. What an amazing event to be a part of. My brother and I had "standing" tickets, which kinda sucked. But I was so into the game it hardly mattered. I've never seen the actual broadcast of this game!

I don't think we have had a regular season game hyped up like this one since it happened. If both teams are 4-0, the Thursday night game against the Rams may exceed the hype of this one.

I remember watching this game in LA at Novel Cafe, the other Seahawks bar besides Backstage at the time right next to the Wiltern Theater. Everybody was going nuts the whole game - it was like a prelude to the Super Bowl that season with just how effortlessly the team took control of this game right from the beginning and never gave the Saints any sort of chance to get back into it.

A shame the place changed ownership not long after SB48. I'd be interested to know if he's opened up another location anywhere.

ESPN welcomes you to the following presentation of the National Football League they built this Stadium 11 years ago with the stands angled toward the field to maximize the noise it works Lisa salt is one of the Saints doing to handle the sound here tonight hey Michael Sean Payton was so concerned about the noise being a factor and guys not being able to communicate on the field that he texted Brett Favre and asked him how he the noise at the very loud Superdome when the Vikings play the Saints in the 2009 NFC Championship game Favre shared with Peyton that the Vikings had designer noise reduction earbuds custom-made for that game and FARC said it really helped so Peyton quartered up 20 of those earplugs for his offense last week players got fitted last Tuesday had plastic molds of her inner ear made and the earplugs arrived on Friday so they had a couple days to try them out to see and according to his players the earpods apparently allowed them to actually here at the line ambient craziness noise that gets elevated his 92 Masters champion Fred Couples born here in Seattle one of the best athletes ever poured in this area raises the 12th man flag and they'll be measuring the sound they once had the records for the largest outdoor stadium Kansas City broken last month they'll be measuring to see if they can get to 130 7.5 the record here tonight will be keeping an eye on the decibels and through the night explain that is ten in one Seattle won the toss to Kirby option SEC now the ball belongs to the Saints first Stephen Houska will kick it to receive for you love it if we go from Seattle all the way through the end zone it's a tough back the good news for Drew Brees and the Saints no precipitation it's been dry all day slight showers in the forecast the breeze will have a chance to throw dry football he's throwing any kind of football very well a Peyton Manning who's throwing more touchdowns this year breeze continues to break records with please indicating took right from the start says the defense brings in me bein on the tackle no gain no loss actually of three yards great start for Seattle backside penetration but Mike it will be interesting to see these Saints how they handle this outdoor venue it's going to get cold tonight and it's going to get extremely loud and these fans are relentless especially Thomas lost four brings to the air for the first time it stomachs down the sidelines gets that lost guard its back plus some more other Scrolls out by the 24 done a lot of outdoor challenges it's going to really test their communication in the huddle and at the line of scrimmage seats love to use their running backs as receivers scrolls and Pierre Thomas have combined for over a hundred catches and Jimmy Graham is the go-to man he's their top receiver they line him up everywhere and he can run any route that you can dream up sixty-five catches thus far further than seven they go on the quick count and breeze has time it takes a shot so it Robert Meachem downfield incomplete in Publix Richard Sherman the outstanding Seattle corner three and out New Orleans this Richard Sherman allows the Apple to get away with a lot bump and run coverage against meets him one of the fastest safe receivers and Sherman's ball skills his ability to play late in the down separates him in this league thomas moore stead is having a very good year as a punter there you see the numbers Golden Tate fourth in the league in this 47 tape returns in the 30 Enzo arz sab dual que deus makes the tackle for the saints now it's seahawks ball and here comes in Russell once in their quarterback the Ruffman fish has a song called Wilson and when they played here in Seattle they got that bass boom boom and then at the concert video Wilson so the lead single played here and asked them hey do that when your guy comes out and they've started doing that and they usually sing them off the field with a happy song 221 and six has never lost here Marshawn Lynch a big reason why and Lynch runs for about three yards take it to the 34 yard line then it all starts there tonight for the Seattle Seahawks they want to run Marshawn Lynch this is the most balanced team in football they run it more than they throw it and they're proud of that and I would be too if I had a beast like Marshawn Lynch Michael Robinson is the full-back comes out to the wide receiver spot as they spread the field and Wilson the catches that was not ready for it but to Robinson he has the first down into the Orleans territory at the 45 yard line twenty-one that's what Russell Wilson brings to the table max under the center snaps the ball on a wrong count nobody's even ready not even Russell Wilson ball snap he fields it he has a presence to escape those right and make a big play how much more poise do you want to see from Russell Wilson like bookends have those baseball skills remember drafted in by major league baseball team in Colorado Rockies second baseman handled that quick short hop quite well for the 45 he keeps on the read option goes into the sidelines right here a first down more on his tip said bill threat Mike he's rushed for over 400 yards the power of Marshawn Lynch and the speed of Russell Wilson allows them to run the zone read if junior galette closes Wilson keeps the football and you see David Huff Huff low number 57 he's got to fall back and make this tackle Russell Wilson could drive defenses crazy with his ability to run and pass 20 second time Johnny's going for 10 or more yards thus far this season thirty-five throwing the / quick pitch by folding eight he's got a dozen yards in the Seahawks on the move I've been alone I was 23 Channing Tatum just a quick game it's an isolation slant West Coast pattern and Golden Tate gets a great release that Russell Wilson but those big hands is able to catch the Pat gets the ball in the shotgun and deliver it quickly and accurately nice work by Tate on the release first enchanter Robinson leads the way they're in the red zone this offense John most importantly they've got their guys up front back now the offensive lines healthy russello at left tackles been out with a toe jeah Khomeini's back from a knee injury at right Zack with IVA max Unger had a concussion he's back but this team has a powerful running game and Marshawn Lynch is the star and they will take some aggressive shots in the past game like Russell Wilson a PC single coverage he's going up top at Percy Harford for their last game but he's out for this one that him it was operated on in the off season has not responded well enough after the first game after it's short of the 15-yard line Curtis Lofton pulls him down so Marshawn Lynch was in Buffalo ran into some problems with the bills was productive there but since he has come to Seattle has been as productive as almost any other runner in the league you see where he is this year closing in on a thousand-yard season again especially in the month of December I bet his average in December is much better than it is earlier in the season he gets stronger as this season unfolds New Orleans reacts to the three receivers right Milton runs left push down the 12-yard Island David Hawthorne XG Haas made the tackle most another zone read they can run it to the split inside or they can run it to the tight in his side but they're going to give the ball to Lynch they're gonna read the backside and a junior galette continues to close Russell Wilson will shred you look at them reading junior galette and as soon as galette squeezes for Marshawn Lynch it's an easy read for Russell Wilson who does an excellent job protecting himself at the 13th cost Lynch left that times the wetlands out there is penetrated along with Malcolm Jenkins the captain the safety for the Saints making the play and the gentleman russell wilson talking without the pete carroll at stomp cable the old Raiders coach the offensive line coach they knew that their ability to run the ball and slow the game down quickest could be a big benefit in getting comfortable in this big matchup tonight deep and Drew Brees and that st. offense on the sideline time of possession is a huge winning edge for Seattle tonight second and 12 throw with time up top incomplete for the tight end Zack Miller as Rob Ryan's defense now tries to come up with a red zone stop Rob Ryan's done an excellent job Mike utilizing his personnel he wanted to install a three-four defense this year but everybody got hurt in training camp so he's had to adjust and he's using multiple safeties together you'll see three and four different safeties on the field Kenny Vaccaro their rookie from Texas is the lead dog Carol Jenkins Roman Harper Raphael Bush all on the field here all safeties by trade third and 12 you see the three-man rush will sit underneath when his Lynch counting off on Bush and others as the ball seemed to come loose at the bottom of the pile they're at the 8 yard line and the officials will pull away to see who has it your blue ball being said and it stays with Seattle and the Seahawks love a field goal attempt coming up that defense right there that third and long that's what Rob Ryan brings to the table strange sub defenses the ball is clearly out and it was Vaquero we just talked about the rookie from Texas who knocked a tree very fortunate the Seahawks have put the ball on the ground 21 times now Mike it has been a problem they haven't lost many fumbles but New Orleans is well aware that they have had a problem fumbling the ball at a very solid season for Steven Houska from 26 yards out he continues his streak of not missing in short distance first points of the night on a good drive led by Russell Wilson in Seattle took nearly six minutes went up three ESPN's Monday Night Football is brought to you by GMC enter the never say never sweepstakes for a chance to win a 2014 GMC vehicle at GMC calm NFL NFL mobile never have the fear of missing out on football NFL calm / mobile and Navy Federal Credit Union visit us at navy federal org good idea to get all these sounds conversation the air horn and the jet engine it gives you an idea of the decibel reading of all of those elements at close range and thus far tonight the max decibel reading at CenturyLink Field let's stand an extra jet engine just a little bit louder than that by any stretch the imagination they can go all for quarters as well line drive from 8 yards deep and cadet will take a knee so for the second straight time drew brees in this very potent New Orleans offense we take over at their own 20-yard line see if they can pick up the first first down of the game when we come back yeah terrific secondary the Legion of boom missing two players Walter Thurmond suspended for four games violating the league's substance abuse policy he was the backup to Brandon browner who's been out with a groin injury but is appealing a one-year suspension as a third and final stage offense of the league's substance abuse policy that might be one year that could be I appeal to less than that we don't know he wouldn't be playing anyway because of the injury the needless to say that's his second and third best corner out the Seattle's the firing max low 41 Jeremy Lane plays the nickel number 20 41 and 20 numbers to keep an eye on against the states passing offense tonight please from the 20 rows complete Marcus Colston he gains three yards tackle made by Bobbie wagon this noise is a real problem for the way the Saints play a lot of personnel groupies coming from the sidelines and they don't signal who's coming in going so Drew Brees has to echo the personnel to the men in the huddle then he has to spit the play out his some of these plays are hard to say now he's got to come to the line of scrimmage and deal with these crazy Seahawks fans our finger in the running back the former Heisman Trophy winner games only a yard to the 25 so John Sean Payton has the communication right to Brees his helmet and what he does is he backs out and he's telling them which personnel group is coming in the game yeah here comes another group of saints so Brees has to tell the people in the huddle who stays and who goes look at Sean he's even using they try to communicate the personnel the Seahawks fans they don't when to rev it up to they understand the game in the Seahawks meeting and back in Philly Chip Kelly's laughing please hit as he throws it into the hands of the free-falling Senate Senate Seattle the legion of boom strikes first cliff Averell free Asian acquisition from Detroit beat Zack Street drew brees health of all Mike he's got a push up he's got a check the bomb out of Pierre Thomas and clip a bro who leads the Seahawks with seven and a half sacks strikes again the lifeblood of the Pete Carril football team is the turnover ratio they came in with 26 they led Vienna and they just tucked up another it's the point house kill officially credited as a sack and a fumble and the 22-yard return for Michael Bennett is his first national football league touchdown and the Seahawks have a double-digit lead out of the gate and their defense gets it done Averell and bennett the one-two combo picks up six Pete Carroll who brings energy and enthusiasm a great passion every time walks in the door he's done it here with his defense as if it wasn't loud enough pick the meter again on that touchdown scored by Michael Bennett now ten nothing his house - kicks off and good hang time on it cadet no return third straight time freezing the Saints take over from 220 it has been an awful start for New Orleans these four important words to slow down a good pass like Seattle House normally they nudge her they chip the defensive end that right here is that Street got no help at all and cliff Haverhill just got the crowd in this game they've got to send it tight in to nudge the defensive end or back over there to chip the end to help Zach Strief this crowd noise will be a problem if he doesn't run to 20 and a speed run running to the left yo game less then two yards as he's pulled down Ingram Lewis struggled mightily as we know last year and this now his third season so injury bothering him early on this year but then Ingram was at least able to come back and play very well against Dallas have that big running game 145 yards that is a running back with a lead-in the ball race Harris is checked in as an eligible tight in he's an offensive tackle at the top of the screen this is a play-action pass formation there it is and Brees throws to Jimmy Graham spit the ball out incomplete pass ruled incomplete on the field gram never had a chance to come down and make a second act with the ball well this is a sale route they clear out the deep zone with Meacham and they want to throw a corner round in here to Jimmy Graham off a play-action pass this is normally a play that the Saints ring up easily but Irvin number 51 a former free safety in junior college shows his athletic ability and he is pumped up Michael about 260 pounds gotta help these two tackles with some nudges and some chips you don't want to isolate Clemens in April what I want the way again nice - no no first down and scrolled only gave a couple yards as well Seattle bells as well as anyone at football they play a three deep for under zone and these linebackers are outstanding handling the underneath check downs this is where New Orleans makes a lot happened with spools underneath not many guys make the open field one-on-one form tackles like KJ right that was sitting on double zero for at least a second they missed the delay a game flag there Seattle's just fine with it the more stead punt 43 yards Kate on the road Tate gets the Block in the shot line wagons down though opposite side of the field back at the 38 yard line we're here from Ed Hochuli for the first time tonight and see if that nice return by tape will come back it's 41 degrees feels in the upper 30s during my return holding by the return team Seattle number 22 10-yard penalty from the spot of the foul she keeps the ball after enforcement pushed down it's also sprinkling here a little bit pulls up it hop Gleason long sleeves no first downs for the Saints first three drops that was the moment that great defining run the last time that these two teams played in the playoff game here when Seattle won the division at seven and nine that Marshawn Lynch run a big part of the reason that Seattle was able to eliminate the defending champion Saints in that game and it really put on everyone's radar when an impact player Lynch can been has already died Seattle's continued to build around that now with second-year quarterback Russell Wilson wears down 27 shot down the field towards golden tape it's too long right but not out so it turn to do an incompletion he cuts a receiver that Russell Wilson really likes to remain Kurtz does it down the field receiver it's a corner route here's Golden Tate going after Corey White they give take a number of opportunities that go deep and one thing about Russell Wilson Mike he'll give you a chance to become a great receiver he'll give you an opportunity to make a play on the ball that time Corey white he's filling in for Jabari Greer did a nice job the same concept as a receiver going to the ground you have to complete the act of the pets he did not so no much-needed turnover for New Orleans there Wilson throws to Lynch - inhalation fans go nuts when winch has a player coming out of Vietnam excuse me not just as a runner but as a receiver just a simple check down Russell Wilson is going to go through his progressions and he's going to check the ball down to Marshawn Lynch he's not only a physical runner but he is an elusive back hard to find that combination special Claire and on third and one he comes out and Robert turbine the five-foot-ten back is in there with no leading foot back put on a pirouette by down to the floor David Hawkins saved the touchdown mouthing junior galette got away with a roughing the passer penalty but it completely fooled with saint defense with a bootleg diversionary motion goes one way and out comes Russell Wilson the other motion goes this way and the bootlegs coming out to the right nobody covers the tight end at the bottom of the screen on a corner out my thought go wet Clinton Russell Wilson after this roll right on at John gain of 64 the tight-end Miller and Wilson has to take time out happens so often you rush down the field after a long play play clock running against you that's what the only thing that's gone wrong for Seattle in the first almost 12 minutes of this one as the mist picks up and the Seahawks are just at home and looking great out of the gate but down in the field Lisa Salters hey Mike yeah well yes you know there was a possibility of rain in the forecast and it is here it started about 15 minutes ago so far it may look like it's a lightness to you but it's coming down pretty good really fine drops but it's coming down pretty good something to keep an eye on could be a factor if it gets any worse all right Lisa the forecasts throughout the week has been for heavier rain on the other side of the so kwame pass to towards Eastern Washington they've had snow snow level is supposed to drop to almost sea level as the temperature drops below freezing tonight that this inclement weather a lot better to get when you have a 17 nothing lead the Seattle trying to get there right now in a couple of yards to the to and John you see on that play what Ray Lewis told us at Monday night countdown you better bring a bunch of your friends to the party to stop Marshawn Lynch that's for sure I love watching Russell Wilson in his tight red zone situations offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell normally calls two plays Russell calls one in the huddle he'll alert it with another at the line of scrimmage if the Saints try to stop the run he'll alert it and throw the football yourself again the initial penetration limo number was fifty three at the bottom of that pile holding on for the rest of the Saints to come along early like Curtis Lofton the ex Atlanta Falcon their bigger inside than they have been Lofton Hawthorne 57 the ex Seattle Seahawk Hicks 76 their big inside they welcome the challenge of Lynch in this running game but it's this quarterback that's maddening two defenses third and goal on a swag it's Miller for the touchdown the 42 say Russell Wilson it's 17 then up in Seattle he's run the zone read he's thrown the quit game in the shot and he's throwing the ball down in the field in a short yardage situation Russell Wilson is an mvp-type candidate just at the bottom of the screen is going to be a quick look in Russell Wilson's going to catch the football and throw an accurate strike for a touchdown to that big body of the tight-end Miller who at the 60 yard reception on the outside he had nobody coming close to him what conditions all the snapping hold what a start for Seattle up 17 three drives no first downs for New Orleans only nine yards in there nine plays meantime Seattle has done a great job with their 16 plays 134 yards and John obviously the one turnover that led right away from the touchdown total control up 17 nothing as Sean Payton as the head coach remember he missed all of last year at the suspension hasn't been down by this many points since October of 2011 been a while it's the wholesomeness big let's take a look remember last year the Saints in bad weather really struggled to throw the football in New Jersey and the Giants had a big win earlier this year I thought the Saints and Drew Brees struggled in the same stadium against the Jets the noise gotten to him the weather got to him and they played their worst offensive game of the year in poor weather and this qualifies as a similar forecast by Thomas here Thomas fighting for the extra yard is Bobby Wagner tackles him it's a game of none and that's what you have to do first downs after first downs against the zone defense like Seattle you've got to continue to move the chains they have not given up a lot of big plays in shock Peyton knows it and they don't know this feeling Peyton agrees to go no first downs the first since they started together 2006 season had an offensive start this slow you are at the Pierre Thomas but it looks like it's sort of a first down at the 30 yard line you know the Seahawks play a three deep zone with strong side rotation over and over and the man that is the strong side rotator is a 240 pounds safety named camp Chancellor it's gonna be hard to run the football into that eight-man front Earl Thomas is in the post and ham Chancellor rotates on the strong side and says please rub the football bark in there morning gun into the up pack Jack College and a former linebacker early in his days playing at Washington State about 290 miles east of here became a running back end of his career with the Cougars and Pullman and has made that impact with the Saints and after 14 and a half minutes finally a first down for New Orleans that'll be the only thing that they can take home with them after the first four let the wet loud folks of the Great Northwest take us to break after 1:17 OSHA the holiday decorations warning the Space Needle and the other spots here in Seattle as we begin the second quarter Mike Tirico Jon Gruden Lisa Salters ten-in-one Seattle with a tremendous start 17 of it's the biggest hole at the end of the first quarter since the era of breeze and payton began in 2006 in the world this is the go zone i'd be aware of the shock wave i was yellow looking left any fires to Robert Meachem Canaan on first down it's that slow go seeing their famous for they're looking for Earl Thomas back here into deep end they're going to run a double move and try to get Graham down the scene and move Earl Thomas in the post the Seattle check to a four beep zone that time out of respect I can't wait to see Brees go after Thomas when he's in the post by himself the boot breeze looking his sideline only gained a half yard loserman was closing on Pierre Thomas who made the reception look at Earl tom was talking to meet you he was ready for that to back play-action pass Earl Thomas watch him number 29 he's going to see Meacham cross his face he's not going to look into the backfield of new people whatsoever and as soon as he recognizes that they got the job done he's telling me I'm not ready for you I'm a grown man not a rookie like it was a couple years ago he has been waiting for Breeze in the Saints for sometime that jumped by Cliff Avril gonna cost his team a first down unless it was induced by a saint didn't look that way though neutral zone infraction defense number 86 five-yard penalty results in a first down that's ridiculous that's the one thing about the Seahawks I think they need to clean up and that's the penalties an Averell is clearly off early but they have had a real problem with penalties almost eight per game they must clean that up you do not give through breeze any free passes the 47 great pursuit on the run by Thomas and Michael Bennett who had the touchdown earlier this is a player who was undrafted in Seattle had him early on Ilyn played three games with those seahawks John back in 2009 the tampa bay claimed him he's come back to seattle this year Michael Bennett's gonna come from the back side and his run this play down he's unblocked obviously he's gonna make second and nine and the Seahawks have their speed group out here to rush new breed get some time setting up the screen this is Thomas trying to work hard to get inside the 40 that I that arm tackle of Bruce Irvin and brought down where it will be third about three well we said it in the pregame seems and screens and you're gonna see Ben Grubbs the left guard do a nice job hitting a piece of a Seattle Seahawk on this screen pass right there to get Pierre Thomas an opportunity to create a third down and four and this is where the Seahawks love to challenge it Sherman at the bottom of the screen Maxwell at the top the Legion of boom has made their name in these situations release groans gross the middle of the bigness fever wholesaler Martha's postman with the first down at the 36 you saw that six foot four body bolston is very effective when they put him in these tight splits he gets positioned with his big body between he and the ball and Drew Brees is on time and deadly accurate I don't think Drew Brees even has a pulse right now Mike he's probably welcoming the opportunity to bring his New Orleans Saints back take two Ingram Rohtak any skills the worst the end of Oklahoma at a minimal gain on the 23rd catch of the year by New Orleans fifth round pick in this past draft I think Sean Payton's off to something here he's changing the launch spot you've seen three-step drops that time they moved the pocket you've seen play-action passes and on second and seven he's got some heavy our tell Ben Watson and Graham three tight ends at the bottom of the screen with Meechum isolated up top on that quick count which Ingram punishing run Thomas meek who shot the first guy I like what the orleans did there good movement and again it's Earl Thomas Road Runner captain off take a look at number 29 good blocking up front by the Saints Earl Thomas he remembers that national championship game Texas against Alabama huh he got Ingram that time my god that's got to be delay again that time they saw it was also movement up front so let's see which flag will be called first before the ball was snapped or there was any movement the lay of game offense five-yard penalty as very uncommon I haven't seen the Saints naked the lay game penalty and sometime Mike connect should have been there second and you saw it against the Jets with the communication that noise factors in doesn't it they're having a hard time negotiating the personnel through breezes Helen the people in the hovel whose and the people aren't getting out and off the field nearly as quickly as they do in normal rhythm throws in the and the pass is caught by Graham who is outside of Scrolls to the 12 yard line was shot there by breeze and a gain of 20 how does it tight in Ryan up out there and run that route a slant pattern he lines up like he's a wide receiver and they do an excellent job locating the big tight in on a weekly basis and it's Maxwell out there on him John they're not sending anybody special on brand they're using max lows in because of the browner and absences that we talked about earlier there he is again at the top of the screen and who knows it and it looks that way covered the resetting now breathe this throws it incomplete was posted because the coverage that is Chris Clemons the defensive lineman who drifted back in that zone with the receiver there's a flag down in the back of the endzone Kenny Stills was knocked out of the endzone this will be interesting the conversation is the quarterback in the pocket at this point what calls made Seabreeze has moved out of the pot that the balls thrown when they turn off all unnecessary roughness defense number 25 but he's a good call absolutely saw it last year up here when Brandon browner knocked a Green Bay Packer received her out of the endzone that was uncalled for by Sherman we saw the fall was gone and Brees had a throne to get rid of it so a well covered play becomes a first down here for New Orleans inside the Seattle tent and once again Mike gets the second defensive penalty on the Seahawks that have helped this seat ride continue I would not give drew brees these opportunities Josh Hill the other Titan comes back to block leaves away on a patent pending run for Thomas down to the two last night the breeze 12 Pierre Thomas was underrated back in the NFL because of all that he does receiving picking up Lich's and able to run inside the tackles they're inside the 10 yard line going to play the Saints you know they're going to run the football to the right that's where Street fins that's what Joey Evans we've had a lot of success running off if they run it again at the bottom of the screen behind Street and Evans the left in the middle its brand will hold John for touchdown number 12 on the season well the formation mic and they come out of the stack in different directions and Drew Brees throws a dart watch Jimmy Graham uncover and before Chancellor Thomas and Bobby Wagner can get their drew Brees lights him up fortunately this week grams celebratory dunk didn't bend the goalposts as he did but he's going to touch down their last game in Atlanta that is some kind of drive in the rain and the noise down 17 nothing the extra points added by Darren hunt freeze hit all eight on the drive that dumped by grab puts the state on the board ESPN's Monday Night Football is brought to you by the mercedes-benz winter event per yen exceptional offers and soon IBM let's build a smarter planet visit ibm.com smarter planet the new ESPN fan shop calm powered by Dick's Sporting Goods zebb that you're heading down towards the upper 30s as you look at this beautiful city on the Puget Sound our aerial coverage from Seattle tonight is brought to you by DIRECTV her team plays eighty yards over eight minutes going across the end of the first for the second quarter and the touchdown catch for Jimmy Graham gives him 12 on the year tying Detroit's Calvin Johnson to most total touchdowns in the NFL received but mostly touchbacks this year club more said this one returnable is stopped at the 15 yard line by the safety Kenny Vaccaro also single-season record for touchdown catches by a saint it's 12 for Graham it's thrown by Brees T of the Saints back in it now we'll see what their defense can do against the Hawks this would be just the third drive before the Seahawks remember they scored on the turnover by New Orleans in that first quarter the first two drives led by Russell Wilson third-round pick in the draft last year field goal a touchdown Raphael Busch the safety was on the field earlier for New Orleans injured his ankle for the Saints for the moment which runs to the right across the 20 of them 21 yard line exactly by Curtis Lofton here's how we've arrived at 17 7 it was the pressure from a roll off one corner and Bennett picking it up and scoring the touchdown there the curtain 160 yarder to the tight end Zach Miller who then caught a two-yard touchdown to put Seattle on top 17 Oh and then the seats responded to the moment ago had 13 play 80 yard drive capped off rather tucked down to ground after a Lynch run of five there's one for one play this icky Knicks number 76 is really flashed to me in recent weeks former Canadian collegiate player the third-round pick a couple years ago in outstanding run stuff for him I really give Rob Ryan a lot of credit Mike for adjusting his defensive scheme to fit this young sync player grouping that he has injury timeout for the moment so a timeout on the field very important game of the NFC also next Monday night is Tony Romo and the Cowboys go to Chicago Jay Cutler still week-to-week Marc Trestman and the Bears coming up there disappointing loss in overtime yesterday Trestman said today find out about Cutler as the week goes on so we'll see the six and six parents at Soldier Field against the 75 Cowboys Monday night countdown starts us 6:30 Eastern that was a call timeout by New Orleans a little confusion on the field as the announcement was made Saints call timeout now third and three for the Seahawks all outlets look by the Saints and they bring everyone Wilson throwing deep to the middle of the field wanna Brad brought in by Baldwin and Doug Baldwin takes it down the sideline inside the 25-yard line market 224 well Rob Ryan shows his true colors he is not afraid the Blitz and blitz the house here comes the seats there's nobody in the middle of the field they're coming after young Russell Wilson and he knew exactly where to go catch set your feet and throw the ball up and give Baldwin a chance to beat a safety in coverage that'll make you think twice about for Blitzen they brought eight and couldn't get home and Wilson who loves to see pressure perfectly drop pass to Baldwin for 52 yards officially from the 25 Wilson tries to escape and does and on LaRhonda motion flag down as he's down at the 12 it's gonna come back but I have no idea how he got out of that one neither Peter does Akeem Hicks who had him how did that guy took their hands through the face offense left tackle maybe Russell oh because in fact he was the left tackle take a look at who cone here at left tackle he's the man guilty of the hands to the face but sometimes being a little shorter than everybody else pays off saw the right hand come up on the face gear of junior galette Gary Austin or two-time Super Bowl ref from the booth degrees it was a correct call so that marks it back to the 35 and first and 20 the backfield the trailers complete again Zack Miller to them a dozen there to the 23-yard law that's one thing that Darrell Bevell is going to the saint's defense right now Mike he's spreading them out his base personnel and he's getting tight ends in space against linebackers that aren't equipped to handle coverage they're going after Lofton with these open know back formations they need to get some help for the veteran from Oklahoma robert servin in the game it running back here he comes to the left meantime Lofton caps off the play that galette stopped along with Cameron Jordan what a year the first-round pick from 2011 is having nine and a half sacks for Cameron Jordan well they just stuffed this play at the point of attack they're gonna run a stretch play off the left side Cameron Jordan number 94 who plays multiple positions gets after Matt Whiston gets off a block and rocks Marshawn Lynch and a third down and eight these sub defenses that the Saints run that created a lot of confusion for offenses this season whistle before the play a pulsar offense number three and we're down any Carol disagrees sometimes in that quarterback gets too demonstrative as calling the signals almost simulating the snaps coming they'll call him for the flap giggling at Russell Wilson's head and body movement here on his heart count policy that either does the crowd like that Jordan reacted to the hand movement of Wilton seven defensive backs for the Saints prevent defense there's down the way to the 15 or she gets it quick and tasted the blockers down the sideline yes first down Golden Tate to the 12 so they put all the TVs in but the screen with tape keeps the drive along cause a great block by Jermaine Kearse but it's a prevent defense a three-man rush a lot of defensive backs out here so Russell Wilson just picks it up and throws it to the top of the screen and number 15 he curse gets a great block on Chris caught on the edge and Mike Bolton cake is outstanding after the catch he makes a lot of his real estate after the catch great call the survive first and 20,000 the 11 joins White's here many whistles are blowing once they decide lynches forward progress is stuck you better be clear because you know the Saints are coming to shut them down feel like I'm at a rodeo or something every time this guy carries the football just listen at home and watch how many people have to make this tackle precipitation picking up they can get a first down inside the one will soon as they provide spinach early on first cooking quality I think John that initial play was for Lintz who couldn't sneak out us was physical with him defensive bill chop talk to says they underestimate Wilson scrambling ability at the end of the night watch him do a 360 reverses field not only does he get away but he has the presence to find an open receiver in the throat curse should make that get what a play by Wilson to the Pete Carroll it was Robinson 26 not Lynch 24 trying to leak out of the backfield play clock running down and Pete Carroll runs out to take the timeout 36 when you come back to the ferris wheel down by the pier off of Puget Sound showing Seahawks colors everywhere you go the number 12 those 12th man jerseys or the Russell Wilson jerseys there will be several of those delivered by Santa the Great Northwest this year I bought two but here he is again in a key third down situation in the red zone they're gonna call a couple plays in the huddle and they're gonna get Russell Wilson a lot of autonomy at the line of scrimmage to do what he sees fit there's great third down numbers and converted five of the six third downs tonight five receivers in the pattern works in surveys scrambles runs short we do here fourth then just over yard up that's why New Orleans likes having these safeties on the field Mike they have people that can come and get Wilson you're gonna see number 27 Malcolm Jenkins recognize Wilson scrambling and he has the speed to get there that's a heck of an effort Malcolm Jenkins John peek Parra walk all the way down to get a good look at exactly where it was saw that it was a four yard but the plate plot starts as soon as Wilson slides out of bounds there so the plate watch down at five as Houska comes on for an extra point sized field goal they get oftentime in the 20 other is not through but a management only one kick this year 22700 get two quarterbacks on display tonight do not have that prototypical height take the most wins by six feet under quarterbacks since 1950 and Brees second in wins to Fran Tarkenton you take the winning percentage 60% of the games for the six footer even it's the highest for someone who's won at least a hundred summit guys have won at least 20 games it's Wilson who has mentioned the combine just under 5 foot 11 and tonight tries to get his 22nd win in his second years has started and Russell has said watching Drew Brees what he's been able to do is really open the minds of people around the league that at quarterback who's got 6-3 6-4 he's kickoff in short in to whatever when do we have and cadet brings it back to Mars just over the 20 yard line to the 22 so that's why Wilson idolized Brees matter of fact when Wilson went from NC State to Wisconsin he drives a u-haul 17 hours to get to Madison and the street right outside of Camp Randall is Brees Terrace and he says the irony wasn't lost on me he's watched Brees throw it in the NFL to try to pattern his game after that both these guys know that there's never a perfect pocket in this league and they work hard on fundamentals and footwork and I don't anybody that works harder than Easton you see with Wilson three drives here tonight and they put up points on each Drive Brees and the Saints coming off a great drive and remember Seattle gets the ball first to start the second half so important right here where these fives post inning Game seven it's camp chance of that huge safety coming up to make the tackle that time Pete Carroll comes with a blitz Wallace picks it up even when Seattle blitz as they play zone most of the time Mike that time Chancellor saw post in the hallway good drive good temple why do they have seats here nobody ever sits there standing on line second of five to the full-back Collins terrific pets his rule touchdown their yard and a half shy of the first down Saints have been very patient Sean Payton has thrown the ball quickly for the most part in the last 17 or 18 plays I'm still waiting for Brees to challenge Earl Thomas with one of his patented seam balls 32 marking his defense his play action here's a shot for the other tight end and Josh hilt and bring it down changed by Bobby Wagner so looking to build a drive-in score before the half it's green what's the second time they've run that clear out that sail around this time the tight end comes out of the backfield and these are normally slam dunks Josh Hill too tight into the corners open balls not thrown accurately and he'll fails to make a surface catch and Russell Wilson is going to get the ball with plenty of time again Mike Thomas More State rocket shot with the wind behind the 58 yards Tait spins and gets immediately thrown out of bounds by East Abdul Cadiz who has been flagged for his excessive celebrations and taunting not draught into one there my cabbage but breeze is completing a lot of passes here but not many downfield not the gable of chance challenge deep against Thomas in that secondary only 74 yards on the 13 completions he tie Wilson's been outstanding 60 yards on one completion to Zach Miller and over 50 yards Doug Baldwin on the prior drop in this 2-minute situation is where Wilson has been very effective this year let's see what he has backed up at his own 10 with a 13 point lead starting from their 12 been going on Wilson trying to take up cells in a head to Marshawn Lynch who catches it it'll be a loss of five again that awkward delivery that was a very similar play to the touchdown scored for their last game against Minnesota Rogers Bunkley is looking for that sack inside to here in cm I want to go back to this play here before the two-minute warning it was close to a sack with Russell Wilson and as you look at Broderick Bunkley the Wilson knee will be down before he flips the ball so that should be a sack now because it happened before the two-minute warning New Orleans would have to challenge that play that's the first time the Saints have had a look at it via replayed as we went to break at the two-minute warning and the question is will they use the challenge here now they seem that replay to get five more yards farther back and they do not or to run to the 12 yard line and that New Orleans would use one of those timeouts John tried to get the ball back for Drew Brees I love with Sean Payton did right there he didn't waste a second as soon as he saw Lynch tackled he took the timeout he wants one more possession for Drew Brees he knows he's got to kick it off to Russell Wilson to start the third quarter he'd love to see his offense get one more shot why do you think they haven't been able to get the ball to those seams down the fields of Jimmy Graham like seems to happen 20 25 yards completions everyday well a couple times they had it called but Seattle called the right coverage they got into a four deep zone they guessed right they've had a couple corner routes open they just haven't connected tonight but we got a lot of football left and this is a huge third down for the Saint defense ruolan's has one more time out to use on third night Seattle will throw and Wilton fires back shoulder at his putt for the first down it's her main curse in front of Malcolm Jenkins and now forget about getting the ball back yeah keep Seattle since starting a drive he had a big hit in the heat to a back shoulder throw in the rain from his left patchwork and his 30 to go you take the option of keeping it again a 5 out about your backed up inside your 10-yard line on third down you drop back to pass to the wide side of the field and you throw a back shoulder fade that's amazing Jermaine Kearse filling in for Sidney Rice filling in for Percy Harvin and the young quarterback has the confidence to make a play like that that's impressive so Sidney Rice get hurt against see Lewis sees on injured reserve outs of the year told you had Harvin not back from his hip injury the guys like Doug Baldwin continue to make plays for this receiving for involving out of bounds for the first down 1:21 and told Toyota ham sign with Chris bourbon in the studio with Sunday soundtracks listen in on some of the action behind the scenes from the yesterday's games and the curtain grinder from the sunday games Leymah throw the ball at that time it was loafer Lynch and incomplete stomping 78 seconds till the half that's what the Saints need they need junior galette to rev up the pass rush that's the one area that the Saints are much better at this year that's rushing the passer they came in with 37 Mike here you see galette knock Wilson down as he edges russello Koon but galette in cam Jordan have really delivered a pass rush that is much needed in New Orleans recently signs that Ricardo Luckett is the Seattle receiver bottom of the screen today Lynch run up the middle into Said's territory to the 42 yard line closing in on field in a minute will you come with a blitz off the outside you better shut down these inside gaps excellent work by Russell Lowell Boone on the backside Marshawn Lynch cuts it back and he crashes who Oliver Lafayette once he's out of the pocket and get rid of it legally there so it's incomplete by the way that run for Lynch ties him with Adrian Peterson for most yards in the league yep most runs this year in the league over 10 yards it's such a great weapon and a patient offensive play calling sequence here John inside the two-minute warning with only one timeout this looked at Russell Wilson and the bubble mouth he talks with his eyeballs I mean he has so much confidence and he delivers such a positive vibe that every play is gonna work it's contagious with the Seahawk offense it's driven and they're closing in on field goal range at the 30-yard line using the final timeout here 40 seconds remaining again all these defensive backs in the game to stop the pass beat Carroll and Russel Wilson are willing to run the ball and you talk about the confidence that wilson exudes areas talking about how far this team can go with his leadership I believe that can do anything you know it's like one of those things that the Lord would truly gifted me with a lot of talent and I put the work in and that's how we separate ourselves by our preparation by my preparation and really studying the film really studying my game really self evaluating myself and and when I'm not very good at something and making sure I take that note and work at it and I don't shy away you know I you know I can't be afraid to excel and then those big opportunities you know I always want to be clutch being consistent being dominant and being clutch you know that's how that's how I want to play the game of football in at 5:45 every morning and out after 7:00 7:30 described simply as a coach's dream fans like them too in field goal range the Seahawks Wilson the skates peeps has five in ten and given 15 down by the 15 doing it all in this first half talking to the city coaches they were content I'm doing everything they could to contain them they're gonna try to keep Russell Wilson in the pocket make that 5 10 status matter but they're not fast enough they underestimate them say whatever you want time and time again since Russell Wilson has arrived in the National Football League he gets out of trouble 33 seconds take a couple of shots at the end zone here you have no timeouts where he's time to kill the clock get your field goal unit on Wilson using the minutes caught by curse at the eight Seattle will get back to the line quickly here let's see if they have a play call or they'll killer looks like a kill with 18 seconds left but a flag down see if New Orleans did not get back on south I wonder they collect got back Mike there's also jogged the alignment of the Seattle one of the two if they had enough people on the line it looks like an ago the states offside defensive left hand and we've got back to the side before the ball would snap under 300 one minute that was dead before the snap five-yard penalty take a look at galette on a right side of your screen he clearly doesn't get back in time and you get Russell Wilson time to get back in the huddle with a two for one opportunity advantage Seattle it gives the Seahawks a first down as it's a defensive foul there that opens up more opportunities with a stop clock at 18 seconds the officials coming in to discuss make through the quacks situation is correct as well no time outs first and goal at the Father sinners resulting in a first now six first downs now on this drive and that play before we talk about the Saints getting the ball back instead of kick Pete Carroll's team into the two-minute drill and could be a knockout punch for the Saints Wilson predicted throws it back well-designed play by Darrell Bevell I credit Russell Wilson tremendous play-action pass and out of the punch stack criss-cross and nobody covered up problem huge store before the half and remember Seattle hits the ball to start the third 2077 right side of your screen Baldwin and pink plus the field together is New Orleans blows the coverage the Wilson's not missing much Mike he's seen everything maximum protection the Pete Carroll's gotta love this this is just where he wanted to see his defense with a commanding threescore lead where he can cut loose his pass rough how about Russell Wilson Mike so few mistakes so many solid plays and you always have to remind us up this is his second year he seems way beyond his years and seem that way at the end of his North Carolina State days and went to Wisconsin and learned in offensive the year became the captain after the six weeks on campus took him to the Rose Bowl but all started he ran the zone read to begin the game he got in a no back set threw a bomb against the full blitz he's been outstanding in the red zone he makes a great play in the two-minute drill backed up on third down don't tip your hat to the young quarterback 13 seconds left roll it back is cadet attacking first by Chancellor there might order nine seconds left remember that game sir yes I do heck of a play caller she called spider 2 y banana then stone count these two out I do not count them out right the way they can come back passing the ball to open at two minute yes I've seen him do that now I've never seen anybody roll up 315 yards in the first half they better get their defense straight or they could get blown out of here but I expect a lot more from the Saints in the second half 224 more yards in the half the ball belongs to the Seahawks to start the second half and they are sent off thunderous ovation Chris Berman 21 a half-ton hi Michael thank you Russell Wilson's an mvp-type candidate and as he throws it into the hands oh wow of the first half for the Seahawks in central lake field rockin $0.27 hops get the ball to start the third Mike John Lisa Salters down on the field so how does the New Orleans team regroup it's got to start with his first drive obviously on the defensive end that's that simple Mike you have to stop the Seattle Seahawks on offense they've been unable to do it they have to get drew Brees back on the field he spent way too much time on the sideline they have to find an answer for us Wilson quick 315 first half yards for Wilson and the Seahawks 226 coming via the air so much of the narrative of this season has been and Sean Payton returns Rob Ryan takes the defense turns it around it's a top five ranked defense but they have been exposed by the talented Wilson and the Seahawks offensive this first half this will colder here temperatures dip below 40 Windows has shifted a little bit as the return from shine to 2005 Wilson can do it all he did it all in the first half that started with his zone read he reads junior galette galette closed and Russell Wilson kept it for big yardage then route Ryan comes with a full blitz and Russell Wilson sees it he goes right to Doug Baldwin and throws a perfect pass for a huge gain and then play-action and short yardage play action on the goal line he's done at all tonight important right now that he takes care of the football and stays on the gas pedal because Drew Brees is waiting Derrick Coleman the full-back who's been inactive for the last four weeks is in and he lead blocks to Lynch who has no game Lisa Salters down the sideline hey Mike well Sean Payton told me that his team didn't do a whole lot well in that first half he said we gave up too many big plays on third downs we didn't get off the field defensively he also said communication wasn't good so I asked him if the noise was a factor in how those designer earplugs were holding up he said noise wasn't really an issue but he did say that they had a miscommunication on the very first play of the game as for the Seahawks I asked Pete Carroll what do you have to do to deliver the knockout punch he said hey we're not in finished mode you respect this team you know what they can do we're just going to keep playing like all see Matt act before thank you Lisa Lynch them to the second time he has met at or behind a lot of scrimmage at time Curtis Lofton top tackler here makes it third down and you see this defense trying to make the early statements well Lofton got Sean Payton's message at halftime go out there and stuff this running game and get the ball back back-to-back plays by the veteran put Seattle in a third down and long see if the pass rush with junior galette 93 off the edge can get to Wilson in this passing situation third and 11 galette getting near Wilson who throws sideline caught at the 18 yard line and well short of the first down is Kenny Vaccaro makes the tackle on Zach Miller and it's three and out forced by the New Orleans defense there must to start this half it's a great start and keep an eye on this Seattle punt team this is an interesting statistic for you Mike they've they've been out fifteen punt return yardage all year I mean it's unbelievable this punter and this coverage unit has been incredible not Ryan who picks it with great hang time is his Scrolls at the 32 is a flag down as Scrolls gets seven on the return to the 39 or would have been about half the arts they've given up in 11 games this is an unbelievable stat there was an early flag thrown on that 49-yard punt Seattle penalized five times in the first half New Orleans twice lot of conferences tonight night well if there's a hat gun it usually means somebody was out of bounds and how quickly did they come back in bounce make the effort to come back to balance during the kick person will fall by the receiving team number 38 that's a 15-yard penalty enforced from where the thickest part warms keeps the ball after enforcement here sound so any good field position to see erased of a mistake by rod Sweeting trying to get Jeremy Lane one of those Gunners but there would be sweetings made of mistakes Saints down 2770 they come back at something that's never happened in Saints history will never happen to the Seahawks blowing oh me like this the 20-point lead at the half Ron stars from the 17th please in the middle its clothespin the all-time reception man for the Saints for the flags down backed by breathe illegal hands to the face offense number 17 after this the first out Charles Brown the left tackle who played for Pete Carroll at USC so you get a three announce top from your defense you get a penalty on your special teams and now Charles Brown the hands to the face this crowd and then treated to a real performance so far there's an 18 the press has picked up for the moment Brees at nobody open mode this secondary blanketing people Sherman with the covers have been looser than Bob depression this boot Bruce Irvin he is an outstanding pass rusher take a look at Sherman he understands he's bumping on techniques of heat Carol teaches here Jimmy Graham on the other side is squeezed by KJ right kam chancellor there's nowhere to go with the football you talked about the underneath routes I suppose I've seen the defensive lineman's rocking back they're not given any space for that underneath moving stuff for the running backs play clock timeout crown again 12th man we're always effector in Seattle parents teachers students fans fun and easy way for you to hop on the NFL keep us here children can active and healthy visit NFL Russia 26 feet good luck watch the screen if you're Seattle took the air Thomas second down second 18 special my age roll off the core there is that straight to Thomas who guts to the 16 yard line there's a little flag down right back about where they were trying to protect breeze over home you Kara look at his options it would either be third and 11 or second and push him back to about the four yard line offense number 73 backside guard on a screenplay let's see he can't believe the call watch Jerry Evans get rid of this blocker and trying to get into the screen I don't see that at all that's a bad call they got to let these players play too many penalties please of his own endzone gonna launch it down the sideline the coverage is great with Sherman no place were closed him to go as Richard Sherman all the production they get out of Richard Sherman and bump and run coverage you got a credit Pete Carroll and Chris Rashard two defensive backfield coach of the Seahawks these are fifth and sixth round picks Mike Maxwell Jeremy Lane Sherman all fifth and six round the captain is the only first-rounder but they are given in Orleans Saints all they want tonight that's the play clock again she has rushed for as underneath Scrolls needed to get to the 27 and it will be another three and out from the states was again Earl Thomas who makes a living as the deep safety he sees the ball checked now the Darren Sproles he's going to be a part of it that time Scrolls made him look bad I like it Oersted punting to golden teeth the space to return this 54 yard kick Tate looking to set up the picket fence got through almost all of it by the former Seahawk David Hawk born another flag is down during the pot holding by the receiving team number 57 a 10-year penalty is enforced from where the ball was caught channel keeps the ball after enforcement first down take the seahawks back around their own 20-yard line but John let's go back and talk about the impact for Earl Thomas who you think is Defensive Player of the Year candidates this year well this hero cam you see him on the practice field coming downhill breaking on the football he can see the ball delivered and he's got a great knack for accelerate just like he does right here love the way he plays he sees the game differently than most people see it on and off the field passionate every day striving to get better telling I think he's got some MVP like criteria on defense and so often you look at stats for a player as a huge number of interceptions or sacks but once you watch the coach's tape of Thomas and all the things he does and then learn from his teammates the energy he brings to this defense on a regular basis is all the traits of the leadership has caught by tape a gain of three is pouring white throws him out of bounds and John it's both sides we've talked about Russell Wilson and Earl Thomas the true leaders to find leaders of this team young talented dedicated players who everybody seems to be thrilled to follow their words in their ways now I out go that I can't tell you how impressed we all were walking out those production meetings well beyond their years second and six right back to the air for Wilton and perfect accuracy the gub Baldwin in front of Malcolm Jenkins is shy of the 40 it's a first down for Seattle well you get the running game going you come out make it to your right tight ends not there you stay on the move and you throw the ball to your over route and that's an excellent job by Doug Baldwin mirroring the quarterback so Wilson doesn't have to throw it back against the grain very good balance between the run in the pass here in Seattle and this stretch running game with these stretch bootlegs miserable on defenses in the 39 same look Wilson looking left fine a wide open Parliament on the overthrow be completely that was a great job by Baldwin instinctively setting down I think Baldwin was supposed to stay on the move but he saw coverage way over the top so he instinctively sat down on the outside waiting for the back shoulders rolling Russell Wilson just missed it Baldwin's had a Stanford curse is out of Washington Golden Tate Notre Dame Zach Miller the tight end Arizona State of course Pete Carroll's time at USC in the recruiting process around the time these players were high school going to college very familiar with a lot his talent allow the players and lower rounds that have been taken in succeeded heroes Wilson Ricardo Lockett and his rule the cats and a great grab by Lockett is third on the season good part of these receivers Fort Valley State blocking I've seen curse but this is an aggressive shot team we set it in the pregame Russell Wilson likes all of his young receivers and if you click press coverage with no help he's gonna throw it to him Seattle went up to the line quick to run the play the game was 33 yards it was very close he was bobbling the ball or not he got three feet down the question was when did he have the complete control it's a moot point now see the very last point seemed to get control I couldn't tell if that he has being dragged down he doesn't funny that was a great catch though I know it was at may have may have stood up in replay cuz as he finally grasped it the toe tap came down would have been a tight one either way second and seven no holding are the holy flag is thrown as it won't lose to the 20-yard line James Carpenter in at left guard hogtied the linemen coming through 77th for Seattle should be flagged here a lot of penalties here in the third quarter a lot of conferences in the third quarter there was no foul for holding on the play the quarterback had already check him off of the ball turned down so since he was beyond the play when the whole happened that erases the hold all right I'm confused short yardage the last time Seattle had a short yardage situation they ran a beautiful bootleg and got a big play let's see it fits the Beast Morris Wilson burden to the pressure comes will to getting rid of it quickly and it's incomplete for the flag is thrown as Hicks takes Wilton to the ground flags are not going the Saints wait here all whooping the pass on this Drive defense your goal once an all-out blitz and nobody blocked anybody I don't know if there was a confusion on the snap count but they just got a keen Hicks and that keeps this drive alive left forearm clubbing the side of the helmet of Wilson and the sinks defense now faces first and goal as the balls touching the tent tackled by hawthorn gain of only a yard it was Curtis Lofton Hawthorne's teammate who told us last night that this former CLC - we didn't really get to see the real Hawthorn last year because of injury but the Saints feel like they're getting that kind of play this year couple years ago Hawthorn had about 115 tackles three interceptions as a Seahawk and you know deep down inside that state uniform he wants a piece of his old teammates nice play by hawk one won't see this thrown cheap touchdowns so far here tonight a pickup by Lynch the inbounds conversation here the ball also comes out the back pediment on the deflection it's Derrick Coleman down there by the goal line a long conversation is that how to handle passed ricocheted off the intended receiver to go live as they talk let's say fans saw the replay and hit Kevin Davis up in the facemask two feet are down the plane is broken by Coleman and that reaching the ball is a second act Doyle is that the player of the clock capatch had been out of bounds but he had reestablished and the ball was touched by someone else before he caught it is therefore pitch now and I think it's going to hold up on the back end of it too Davis hadn't hit his facemask he's the one that in huffily was talking about reestablishing cuz once you go out you gotta get back in the spider - I've been in they cover the full-back in the tight in he's going to throw the ball to the backside under round there's nobody up he throws the backside other it bounces off his hands and it hits the foot back for a touchdown even spider 2 y banana has a strange twist with Russel Wilson at quarterback how about that play well since it's a scoring play get automatic review so it'll get a little extra long look for all the elements that Ed Hochuli explained the ruling on the field to a lot of things to look at including and starting with the player who was out of bounds coming back in and reestablishing some paintings yelling at the line Judge John Hussey about the rough of the passer call on the holding that was wiped away that one replay we'll see if this bizarre touchdown stands I then Hockley has had to look under the hood to confirm everything on that play and at our looks in replay Derrick Coleman who ended up catching the ricochet seemed to not go out of balance guess is this stance or as before in the field is confirmed he didn't Kinue the engine with the football and scored the touchdown in the floor and he hit the ground touchdown there's Coleman was enacted the last four weeks you see he never did go out of bounds and that is the first touchdown for Derrick Coleman 34-7 and Steven asked as he has before big ol excavation point tonight ESPN's Monday Night Football is brought to you by Wrangler real comfortable jeans guaranteed Liftmaster no other garage door opener opens your world like a lift master toyotacare scheduled maintenance no cost and NFL mobile never have the fear of missing out on football nfl.com / mobile headbangers ball down a new boson Pike Street sand rider was playing and they helped us out to get the decimals the base is 101 the lead guitar once woke the drums 118 the whole crunch sound at 126 but you can integrate away Mike the Guinness world record folks do tell us John that a world record was set tonight if with the decibels at one 37.6 breaking the mark held by the last month and so that story goes to Mars cadet with the return to the 22 yard line so Zaman want to come here play a playoff game things hold up people will have to Seattle is trying to get to 11 in one and you see everybody else in the conference has at least three losses so there would be two up they have a game with San Francisco coming up the Seahawks will have a great opportunity with feet their own hands to close this thing out and send everyone out here in January to try to get across the country for the Super Bowl there is the run by Ingram on the edge a hard run by the former Heisman winner at a gain of eight for mark that time the ball bounces out the Sherman he can't make the tackle but that triangle defense they play here here's Earl Thomas to minimize the game three deep four underneath over and over and Thomas is at the top of the triangle he's the deep safety and if the run living room to the left they get to the 30-yard line John you always tell me they uncover to the defense with two safeties deep there are cover two beaters you say there always plays against that defense how come there aren't plays against Seattle's triangle as you're talking about it it's been running it so long a lot of teams play it three deep defense with the corners off right these Seahawk corners are right up in your face and the four underneath defenders they're not as good as the punch that I got here in Seattle they play the coverage and they rush the passer that's why everything works here plus you can't even hear the bossman his 12th man his system is wrong burden to breeze can't find anybody open this has to get rid of it flag down late hit on breeze I think is going to cost Pete Carroll's team the ball it'll be a first down for New Orleans let's say let's see if you're going to call that or they're going to call grounding until some personal file dancing confessor ow fallacies seat freeze in trouble and he flashes the screen again that slap of that right hand to the facemask that'll take the ball out to the 45-yard line only the second time the Saints have been past their own 30 the other time was on their touchdowns right take a shot here his deep reason try to find it to Graham and the sake recorder actually Maxwell comes in and breaks the playoffs another Pete Carril company man he just waited for his chance he's mastered the techniques Jimmy Graham on another sale route with a deep clear out and at the top of the screen number 41 Maxwell sees that the hallway drops his govern almost intercepted fast but beat garel continues to develop defensive backs that are all these techniques that they teach here in Seattle and they could on the edge freeze hit as he blew it and it's incomplete the pressure from witson McDonald 50 R man out of Memphis once played for the Bengal MacDonald got cut at the end of training camp he's come back and become an inside pass rusher for the Seahawks and Drew Brees can't set his feet and I don't have a statistic but third down in ten or more I bet it's less than ten percent against the Seahawk defense they were for as 34 I thought so this is a screen there's a loss of 4kj right this defense has been sensational against a top offense you got to stop the seams and you got to stop the screens and gauge a right number 50 sees the screening back the whole way and left guard Ben Grubbs has to get to KJ right but he can't do it the Seahawks were ready for it Mike impressive nothing is more steady than Golden State over the sideline is gonna return it from the 13 and the spinning tape back down at the 25-yard line New Orleans Saints offense averages 415 yards game third in the lead tonight against Seattle 104 yards 100 miles south of Canada ranked the most literate state the literate City I should say in the country Seattle well right folks wowed folks too now they're allowed now they're literate do well you're early something thanks just want you to know that you're around other smart people like yourself this is a great place people often talk about the rain but there are a couple of hundred sunny and beautiful days out here especially on late spring and summertime from the 25 wilkeson starting another drive their drives have been distant tape starts it with a gain of a dozen as he's pinball the rough so remember they scored on one turnover by the whirlwinds and then add to that not just the scores of these drives with Johnny long drive 673 drives almost eighty yards to over 80 just impressive let's accredit the Darrell Bevell and this offensive system remember Drew Brees and Sean Payton been together eight years a lot of that shows Belleville and Russell Wilson just in their second year together makes you wonder where they're gonna be three or four years down the road if pebbles here for another three or four years blinks runs to the right the games about a yard he had a couple of head coaching interviews last year bevel was the offensive coordinator in Minnesota was a quarterback at Wisconsin much like his quarterback now Russell Wilson quarterback response to a Rose Bowl win back in 94 in the he told me he remembers watching Russell Wilson lead bevels alma-mater Wisconsin to the 2011 Rose Bowl and a success there so many people had questions about the height and that's why he went 75th and people passed on him but Pete Carroll spoke to his mentor in the business bud grant the legendary Vikings head coach who head Fran Tarkenton sit up you can do it if it's a special type player and Wilson is showing that again tonight the pockets is getting rid of it as his intended receiver Zach Miller was covered great job that time by junior galette containing Wilson it's a fifth different bootleg that the Seahawks have run tonight that time Wilson did a nice job throwing the ball away living for another down New Orleans defense again 31st to give the most points for a second those points in the league last year gave up the most yards an NFL record last year and turned all those numbers around but Seattle putting it on here tonight and so much it has been Wilson making decisions and moves he pitches that to Lynch the question was was it forward and it was so this one will not cept in the bruise Department master-wife scrimmage we'll be termed an illegal forward pass we're going to hear from Ed Hochuli again but what up way by Russell Wilson sensing that Marshawn Lynch was there to receive that pass in Eagle Porter pass by the offense senators free the past was thrown beyond the line of scrimmage 5-yard penalty from the spot in the past and he lost him down brings the fourth down I think that's a correct call he's waiting for a Lindstrom backtracked a little bit well we're starting to see that with read options that pitch phases it's called as the read option where receivers are mirroring quarterbacks much like college ball and pitching it backwards after the live scrimmage let's these Gunners Mike Lane and curse on the outside I want to go back they've given up 15 punt return yardage all season the one Sproles returned in the first half was called back because of a penalty no return yards either also in the equation with the Gunners is the kicker Ryan kicks it very tough to catch ball and also combine in there the hang time don't think you've put on a kids show today's shape is triangle please explain teacher about the Seattle triangle they play on defense that triangle is a three deep for under zone they've got a great job with this coverage since Pete Carroll's been here they take away the deep routes they rally the underneath routes there's nothing there they rush the passer there's three deep in a triangle there's four underneath they do a great job with this zone defense giving you nothing and they have done it to everybody especially at this place there were questions about this secondary without Brandon browner without second and third best quarters with the integrity of that style of defense and that shrine was still work and it's been great tonight working in concert with the pass rush the first catch of the night for Lance Moore and again oh you want to get it leave they get involved a change in coverage now they go to two deep zone they drop a nose tackle out of there and they rush three defenders so just what you think you can call a play and attack this triangle they rush free and play an old school can't the two coverage that Pete Carroll folks 20 years ago a lot of volume here in Seattle second a5 breeze feeling the pressure and gets hit as he tries to get rid of its incomplete splint McDonald for the second time all that time they rush a safety they drop an end on the other side here comes Chancellor there goes somebody on the other side you don't know who's coming and who's going half the time and Chris Clemons doesn't get touched you fall behind like New Orleans is behind tonight in this noise with this defense you're hurt Lisa Salters just told the truck Pete Carroll just came down the sidelines and you're gonna like this defensive fall with pressure on breeze that Pence's caught there's a flag down as more baits to catch that Flags though for offside so that's not the call they were looking for look at it here it's a five yards flag it should be an honest down defense number 91 the penalty is declined the play results in a first down as Clemens Monica Voskhod Saints had one scoring drive and that was kept alive by a couple of penalties from Seattle easily a 34-7 game fans check out these fans crank it up hit even louder quick hitting inside run Darren Sproles ends up three yards guy the first down with a minute 20 in his third quarter you see KJ right there young linebacker up into the line of scrimmage challenged in Jimmy Graham and Zach Strief starting right tackle let's hope this is nothing serious Scottie Paton the Saints athletic training staff out to check on the starter who missed the New England game you see he got caught up he's left me yep so often was Lyman getting caught up from behind and bodies throwing up on their leg embrace Harris number 79 has been a extra tight end in situations this year we'll go over to the right side and you just have to hope that Street walks away from this me and groin injuries kept Streep out of the lineup for a couple of years remember the left tackle last year was German Bushrod now with the Bears and there was some uncertainty on that side so that offensive line over the years when you win and you keep your quarterback there's a franchise quarterback you can't afford to keep all those pieces together for many years you have to start piecing things back together great credit to Sean Payton the Mickey Loomis a GM all the change that this team has endured since that Super Bowl championship not just on the offensive line but on virtually every position on this football team for some painting coming back after the year suspension telling us as we sat down with him yesterday and talked with drew brees as well briefs at how locked in painting has been this year he's always focused play collar very much involved but remember as Strief walks off with a limp and they'll certainly diagnose that tonight and into tomorrow some paint had gotten away from the play calling a bit once he had his leg injury when he got rolled up on the sideline in Tampa a couple of years ago but got back into it as he spent that year out of there and breezes said no detail is missed this year by Sean Payton so locked in and that focus has been shown up to this point by the play and performance of his case there's no question about that second and three closes the baguette see straight runs with scrolls the last one was a quick hitter Gerald Thomas is up there at the line of scrimmage how's he the 25 yards back there one play and then the next plays up the line well that time they brought him down and put Chancellor deep but gage a right number 50 this outside linebacker extraordinaire continues to crowd Jimmy Graham on the line of scrimmage and prohibit him from getting into his rally let's see if the Saints open them up yes they do the old-timers back in his office at the top of the screen if his Scrolls and a quick pitch the lefty puts his head down and gets the first down shy midfield as his third quarter comes to an end only points to the corner scored by the Seahawks up 27 on Monday Night Football let by the legion of boom and lowering the boom Seattle 34-7 this matchup of ten and one against nine and two we start the fourth quarter here at CenturyLink Field Mike Tirico Jon Gruden Lisa Salters our Monday night team three of these big guys for Seattle have come out onto the field meet Ben rip Ryan and McDaniel if you want to play big on offense Seattle can get real defense me babe Bryant and McDaniel make it harder on the foot shocking offensive numbers for the same so far Brees look deep it was covered back to Jimmy Graham in the middle finally some spaces Graham it's to the 31-yard line and Chancellor erased the end of the play with a big hit they blow the cover just the basic cross there's nobody there and what's this elusiveness after the catch that's the second time I've seen a saint still receiver make a Seahawk miss in the open field I saw Tom look Thomas miss Falls now Graham makes sermon miss third catch for Graham has got a touchdown tonight back to Mark Ingram as the running back picked up the Blitz very well Brees pumps in the second look is in and out of the hands tight-end Benjamin Watson this kids gay right is something else six-foot for 250 pound linebacker running with the tight end you're going to see a seam ball right down the middle of the field and KJ right is going to turn and run with Benjamin Watson and make a play on the ball the booth what's he flipped his head and get his arm around there just in time skate day right he can do it in two boxes a run defender he's not afraid to run down the seam or these st. tight ends he saw angling to pick up on this Earvin and the game stopped momentarily as Ervin limped off the field favoring that left leg big linebackers six four and six three urban and rape was outside linebacker on second and 10 it is Brees again we've got the spot Chloe for Meacham it's deflected by Maxwell and incomplete Byron Maxwell running with Meechum ball skills Saints do a great job with their pass protection they nudge these defensive ends before they release they give their tackles some help and Drew Brees has time to survey the defense slide in the pocket make an accurate throw but Maxwell late in the down a trademark of these seahawk corners delivers again what a play the balls about to be caught play clock running down Brees able to get the timeout a minute into the fourth and everything is hitting store for the seats on offense ESPN's Monday Night Football is brought to you by frost brewed Coors Light the game's most refreshing beer Chile's new Chipotle garlic butter stay NFL shop calm free shipping and special holiday savings at the official store of the NFL and autotrader.com compare new and used cars at autotrader.com temperature in the 30s of plummeting in our area coverage tonight from Seattle brought to you by DIRECTV Saints down to one timeout third attempt it comes again three sliding off the spot beautiful throw - Kenny Stills rookies catches the first half inside which one what a play by Brees free Russian tennis today are gonna incomplete incomplete fourth down we've gone you know Mike you come here and you realize that the Seahawks came into this game giving up under five yards per pass play that's unheard of and Drew Brees tonight has a hundred and twelve yards in 29 attempts remember he's gone 43 straight games with over 200 yards passing if you can shut down Drew Brees in this offense throw the football you can shut down any offense penalty flag has now been thrown from the back as there was the confucian if that was a catch or the Inc completion it was initially marked the completion and going to be a first down and then from the back there is no delay of game we didn't let the team go because we were stretching our balls it is flipped down through set the play clock in 45 seconds it's a good thing his microphone works tonight because he's given us some great interpretations when we play clear everyone longer exploration a couple of weeks ago ed was glad that that memo was sent down it's glad to oblige need to get to the twenty to keep his crime going and breeze take me shot Port Graham incomplete the combination of Chancellor and rights course the Saints back to the bed everybody said you better have Richard Sherman govern Graham and they said now we're going to let all our guys have a shot at them that's AJ right again making a case for the grinder award tonight how many linebackers go out there in one-on-one coverage with Jimmy Graham not penny and again Chancellor with help over the top it's hung with the passing yard struggled on only a hundred ninety four the Saints and net passing here tonight and the point you made they have 200 or more passing yards and each of their last 43 games and tonight when going for Jimmy Graham it has been four no goes and just the three completions from the 42 including that one touchdown flip it into the hands of Ricardo Lockett for a first down run that will lose a couple of yards and the face we thought of getting under 200 passing yards and we'll see what happens when the states get the ball back at the end of the game it's a longest streak for any team in the history of the NFL to be over 200 for 43 straight games well Sean Payton and Drew Brees have ripped the NFL apart since 2006 Drew Brees has more yards more touchdown passes more completions than anyone this is a bump in the road tonight for sure Robert turbine is the running back and on second and 12 he'll run it inside and Parris Harrelson former 49er makes the tackle are there larger questions about the Saints are being able to take their passing offense on the road it wasn't a perfect Knights and Ivan wasn't awful weather conditions do you have any more questions about that after this game well their one loss record on the road speaks for itself they've been a good road team but I think you have to look at what is the Saints record when the temperature or the windchill is below 40 degrees I went through this in camp we didn't win a game in our franchise's history below 40 degrees until the year that we actually won the Super Bowl but these are questions that you still have to I think answer the 10 Wilson in trouble and he is brought down so Harrison who made the play on the run on second down comes up with the pressure and in on the sack of woods I think a big question for Sean Payton right now with a 34-7 game is you have a short week and you got a long flight home and you have a team next week on Sunday Night Football the Carolina Panthers I might pull drew Brees out of this game and prepare for another day because there is a lot of big football games left for the Saints Ryan's a knuckleball kick sighs there the 43 how many returned yards there well there's not gonna be any on that no there's not it stays at 15 the entire season that stays is a night of frustration the seats off it's usually a smooth operating machine stuck tonight this is what John was talking about with what is ahead the hottest team in the NFL after rolling off eight in a row here at Carolina twice in the next three games and although the record with the Rams the Buccaneers is below 500 we have seen them play in recent weeks and you know not an easy out with the pass rush off the edge from the Rams and away Mike Glennon and Levante David on the defensive side of leg the surgeon sees Tampa and won three in a row until yesterday Brees just throws the screens of feet of Darren Sproles as it's incomplete Zach Strief heard on the last drive the right tackle getting his ankle x-rayed has that injury concern John alluded to continues here for New Orleans I've been the Seattle side website and Ellen Davis that ricocheted past the third quarter he's back in the locker room being evaluated for a concussion please dispose is such a useful offensive weapon so many different ways scrolls gets involved although it has not been the case tonight close Bobby Wagner again limiting the yardage after the catch the Darren Sproles in Pierre Thomas not only had a hundred catches or more between the two of them Pierre Thomas led the NFL and yards after the catch there's been none tonight at Q scrolls the running backs have caught nine of the breeze passes you tonight those two main backs Wagner continues to chatting with that New Orleans sideline these running backs in New Orleans they don't just run check downs they run a number of different kinds of routes now you see Scrolls split out as a wide receiver he can on patterns to help there caught by Colston John here looks like Seattle has dropped back with a couple of deep safeties and just let all the underneath stuff nope the clock down as we approach ten and a half left here in the fourth quarter and Brees is relying on the quick game and there's no back set that is a trademark of the Saints Geron Johnson back of safety and for Seattle as Scrolls works the sidelines Malcolm Smith seventh round pick out of USC Rosa Alabama's speaking of USC that other big football news here as USC hired Steve Sarkisian the boots of the University of Washington today South Asian he was with Pete Carroll during heats USC days we're taking turns with the same pattern here Thomas and Sproles working against these outside linebackers and hawks pretty quick Pete Carroll is going to blitz this no back operation but the Saints have used for the last five plays on 31 breeze gets pressured and he gets brought down by Michael Bennett then into earlier on the deflection ended up getting the touchdown pass ruled incomplete there's nobody open because they drop an extra Seahawk into coverage and you see Bennet working off Bryce Harris on the right side there's nowhere for Brees to go and Jimmy Graham is wondering where Clinton McDonald came from working one she hunts being given time to substitute as the Saints did substitute that's why the official was over the ball one supreme it's incomplete and for the second time this many drives New Orleans cannot convert on a fourth down and they remain stuck on seven great week at college soup starts tomorrow night Big Ten ACC challenge but basketball partnered and Dawkins wait in Syracuse 12 Indiana Syracuse from the dome tomorrow night and then Michigan against Duke all the networks will have college hoops tomorrow night looking forward to that premiere doubleheader in the Big Ten ACC challenge tomorrow night here on ESPN our turbine that runs to the left and gains two yards Russell Wilson and the things he does he's got a quick release in the shotgun particularly that falls out fast and his throwing mechanics he's got that high elbow over the top delivery he sets his passing lanes his footwork free step by step one hits deliveries we can execute a lot of different kinds passes he's been well-trained back from his college days at North Carolina State Wisconsin and it's paid huge dividends it's allowed him to explode onto the same set that patch is deflected which is rare pageant a rare but rarer than you would think for a short quarterback at Incans Lee Cameron Jordan got the tip so where is Wilson its 11th in the league one pass deflected every 55 of his attempts and immediately you would think with the shorter quarterback that's concerned number one how often do you get passes batted down but for him and he takes great pride in it it usually doesn't happen but cuz there he does not Telegraph throws a lot of these passes are batted now because defensive lineman read the 3-step drop they know they're not going to get there so they put their hands up you can call JJ Watt Mike and ask him about that third and seven that grow in the middle is open for Zack Miller a 60-yard catch earlier a touchdown earlier and now first down to milk more time off the clock Lincoln amazes me is envisioned in the pocket and these are big people rushing on there's big people protected for him he's 5 foot 11 whatever you want to call it but he played behind those monsters in college and heat Carroll has surrounded him was a big lineman here in Seattle and vision is not a problem and clearly size is not the issue with Wilson Wilson now over 300 passing yards for the night 308 turban his run to the 38-yard line alright so mr. quarterback camp let me ask you a question you seen grease and you know what he can do and now you see Wilson and what he is doing will you evaluate Johnny football other quarterbacks who are not prototypical height a bit differently because of the success these players are having that yeah I sure AM and when you watch Johnny football play there's gonna be a lot of people that are gonna make that comparison right away you go nowhere in this league without a quarterback and right now Drew Brees and Russell Wilson have opened the door for men of all sizes I'm excited for him turbine running to the it has been mostly turban here in this fourth quarter Marshawn Lynch standing on the sidelines and the holding his helmet so it's not an injury situation with Lynch meantime John you were alluding to this earlier with Drew Brees comeback Luke McCown is warming up on the New Orleans sideline breezes back up that's a long trip home to New Orleans it'll be a five-hour flight maybe more and again it'll be a short week you have the Carolina Panthers another nationally televised game and both teams will be 9 and 3 don't get any more injuries I think that's what's on Sean Payton's mind right now Saints have taken a time out is the third time out with it really not a huge factor this point they can't challenge any place the rest of the way Scott Van Helden John Butch across Mystic college hockey Stefan Pi in the studio though anchor SportsCenter from Bristol and across the country here in Seattle Stuart Scott Ray Lewis Steve Young Trent Dilfer will have the GMC postgame top plays of this NFL week another week 13 will be in the books head Adam Schefter love the lace Mike Tomlin awaits the discipline of standing on the sidelines there on Thanksgiving night looking up at the big board on that Baltimore return giver been that close to a play I don't think I was that close I jumped over a guy once speaking at jumping the defensive ends for New Orleans do there I was third and exactly five you chose on infraction defense number 94 and 5-yard penalty results in a first down this hold noise thing John and you you have coached in the Superdome when you were in Tampa he coached in Denver when you were coaching the Raiders so you know about loud atmosphere the communication factor is one thing it just makes everybody a little more tense a little more uptight as you go into a game here's the run a Fite turban for three and a half yards well teams be able to have a game plan to combat that when they come out here to play rest of the regular season obviously in the playoffs as well the noise is a big part of their success but these players and the system of football that they use here is the big story they had a lot of noise here when I was coaching the Raiders we came out here and played in the place called the Kingdome yeah and then we came out here and played in a temporary stadium while they were built in this place that's the university laughington yeah but we were able to compete because they weren't as good then as they are now these guys are really good serve a couple yards shy of the first down Kenny Vaccaro makes the tackle you talk to the old Kingdome who's used to stand you know that they took the concrete a hundred percent of the concrete from the Kingdome they processed it and recycled it and use about half of it in building this place so they were environmentally sound on an event like John it is a long flight as you know we leave no stone unturned and get literacy stats you've got loudness you're in bands you're listening to I don't know Mike worried about you I like the thing that they did with the start of the game where the fans can't Wilson that fish solvent that they have played for many years this is such a neat vibe and it starts with the team and the practices that go on as well when you go to a Seahawks practice if it good funded by some lineman lined up at the full-back spot as the run by turbine is a yard side of the first effort yeah they put Sweezy they're starting right guard at fullback and they failed the block the back side here's an interesting story though squeezie off the left side they just don't cut off the back side and there's penetration it forces this fourth down and one jumbo again I expect Swezey to be in the backfield you see Jean Pierre number 61 is checked into the game there's a lot of big linemen in here for Seattle this is an offensive lineman's dream to play fullback in a short yardage situation the first down to a 44 yard line on his Pete Carril he's done a great job here and the story coming in here was these suspensions and feet Carol had to do something they've had a number of Seahawk players get suspended but they competed everything here nurse extraordinary commitment amongst these Seahawk players if Pete Carroll's guilty of one thing he's just too compassionate for these Seahawks he loves these players and I can't fault them for that he helps these players through tough times and I think we need more guys like Carol the busy man of the hat turban you speak of the Walter Thurmond four-game suspension that's for violating the league's substance abuse policy and Brandon browner appealing a reported one year suspension for being involved with substance abuse policy now again that is being appealed but browner had served a four-game suspension for a performance enhancing drugs before and five different players were suspended since 2011 for performance-enhancing drugs of these are different substance abuse policy violations and on Thurman pending with the appeal on browner Carroll did say they learned a lot when they end up drafting Bruce Irvin out of West Virginia who had his own problems that this offseason as Derrick Coleman carries to the left to the tackle by Kenny Vaccaro live at legal that when urban was going through his issues that Pete Council is very educational and understanding how to keep these guys around now you can say that if there's violations you've got to take care of them and you can't have the repeated ones because people start to question what's going on with your program and Pete said his heart of compassion trying to turn young guys around before they get to the age of 25 so the experience to that scene is try to carry over here to see a third and nine and Wilton on the throne is Luke Wilson if he had a rice taken down low by Malcolm Jennings it'll be fourth down it'll take us down to the two-minute warning thirty four to seven what a show by Seattle clearly on top the NFL right now the Seattle's leave Joey the beat to on everybody else in the NFC up to which four to go the head-to-head win here over the Saints of course chasing from behind in San Francisco however the Seahawks will clinch a playoff berth with a victory here tonight and one step closer to taking a division title and it's breezing the Saints as John said not just the nine and three in the long trip for the short week with Carolina weight form on Sunday Night Football this is fourth down and it's the Coleman toss to the sideline the Carroll almost pulled them down by a horse-collar but on downs it will go over to New Orleans Russell Wilson 310 yards three touchdowns no picks that fumble lost by Brees turned into a touchdown just 147 yards into great hands in the Seattle stands for Wilson and the offenses they leave the field and then to separate here tonight as they honored Moulton the fans gave us here coming up they put up on the board that they broke the Guinness Book of World Records sound with big hands for that Ingram runs his Luke McCown hands it to him so John the night Febreze is done and Drew Brees is under 200 passing yards here on the night as you look at McCown who hasn't had thrown an NFL pass in a couple of seasons was with Jacksonville in 2011 mop-up duty Atlanta 2012 and for a brief moment here this year with the sense well my old quarterbacks see his brother perhaps next week with Chicago cosmic Alan's done a good job she knows Seattle's got to go to San Francisco we just saw the 49ers Crabtree's back though it's full force on offense to be great image this is really good so I can't wait for that 49 or Seahawk game because those two teams hate each other they really do that's gonna be a great one next Sunday it's a great viewing that southern is that game thank Joe and Tory doing that game late Sunday look at the Sunday night game bet you're looking forward to watching and it will have the Bears in the Cowboys on Monday night so what are they gonna do with this cement at Candlestick when they tear that stadium down like if you come back in three weeks sir after the last game with the state they'll have that for you pages by the way so breeze under 200 yards he had been 200 yards and more for 43 straight games is not going to get there tonight and that will end his run the NFL record for individuals throwing for 200 yards in consecutive games will remain with Hall of Famer Dan Fouts at 45 this Fouts just a couple of boots over from us with our friend Kevin Harlan during the national radio broadcast more stead with the punch and it's fair Cartman Seattle and taken Dean take this one and it will be another victory for Russell Wilson and it will be in 22nd and we'll bring him right to the top of that list for quarterbacks and their victories in the first couple of seasons of their NFL career Ben Roethlisberger is the man with the 22 victories in those first two years though they are tied for first in that column and Wilson's got Fillmore shots to break it impressive and dominance Seattle is 11 in 1 and the first of those many big games in December in January they answer the test Wilson defeats the chief quarterback by the it's up to Drew Brees 34 to 7 the TMC post game on SportsCenter is coming up next and John bunch across the Scott Van Pelt back to the studio with Jon Gruden Lisa Saunders our entire fund nit Jay Roth the chip Dean and everybody down the trucks Mike Tirico so long from Seattle go touch the remote here comes sports
