[Applause] the Seahawks won the toss deferred so they'll get the ball to start the second half Javier Arenas ready to receive in the Cardinals with slim playoff hopes they get slimmer if the Panthers hold on against the New Orleans Saints we'll update that game in just a moment 23 seconds remaining Carolina b2r here's the bottom line Chris for the Arizona Cardinals if [Applause] to these Cardinals is big spots will be fun Seahawks going for their 13th win of the season Arizona trying to get to 10 no reduce stop short of a 20-hour line Earl Thomas with the special teams play and here come the Cardinals on offense led by Carson Palmer with 21 touchdowns in those 17 interceptions but he's been much better in the last seven game no doubt and it's great news that he's got Larry Fitzgerald in this game first concussion Larry Fitzgerald has ever had happened last week he's up and ready to go the offensive line his plate better [Applause] is gonna be fair Rashard Mendenhall from the 20 and checking that Seattle defense that is number one in the most important category and giving up the fewest points in the NFL less than 15 again they also have the most interceptions 22 of any team in the league without Kate a right he is raring to go [Applause] better with him [Applause] second down six Carson Palmer with time throws an inch to rot haussler look like Haussler wasn't ready for and a groin injury that bothered him during the week so now you have a third down and six against this defense and this crowd that knows how to make it difficult on the office [Applause] then how's the right in the face mask [Applause] as coverages [Applause] no play and a timeout called by the Cardinals so they would not get a delay again and we we do have I'm sorry the Seahawks called the timeout and we do have [Applause] we do have a final as Carolina came back in the closing seconds to beat the New Orleans Saints and that puts even more pressure as you mentioned on the Cardinal well and they know it I was talking to Eric Winston the offensive tackle down on the field before the game I said you know with Carolina beats New Orleans this is really a go home for you guys go home game if you don't win and they are fully aware of it across the board for the Cardinal meanwhile the Panthers are in the playoffs and it's amazing that Arizona in the division that's won more games the NFC West than any other this year they could go a level in five and not be in the playoffs it's happened to other times in NFL history but the first challenge is doing what nobody else has been able to do this year and that's when here in Seattle or actually in the last two seasons third down and six after the Seattle keep your eye [Applause] Palmer completed the 40 and still going his print to London Britain golden flagged out inside the Seattle 15 all the weight out of the 12 yard line before Richard Sherman ran him down brought in extra wide receivers on third down and the free agent from West Texas A&M who is the speedball on this receiving team goes 63 yards to silence the crowd what a great adjustment by watch his body control turning around [Applause] Larry Fitzgerald now splits out to the top of your screen align the Bobby Massey and from the 13 yard line Ellington is in and gets the carry the smoker talking to Carson Palmer yesterday he said it he goes look we have got to go up there we got to set the tempo offensively we've got to have a fast start get some points early in the game because we can't be won get down 14 nothing and got groped for seven sacks [Applause] Rashard Mendenhall back in on second and 11 from the 14 Carson Palmer to throw completes [Applause] Jim's right as he falls inside the 10-yard line the backup tide and who has a couple of touchdowns this season in this Seattle defense we talked about how good they are in a number of categories but nobody takes the ball and goes right down and scores out on at least on the first possession that's an unbelievable number and dual-sim for the rest of games and big reason with those fast starts and Richard Sherman knows it third and six from the nine full wide receivers here comes the flag now here's the question did Clements draw off Bradley soul or vice versa Scott Greene is a referee [Applause] last time now quite a discussion by the officiating crew in the call on Chris Clemons and there is no doubt he jumped good our town like Carson Palmer but Chris Clemons job [Music] moves himself [Music] [Applause] Rashard Mendenhall the back [Applause] color pencil tip today yes interception Seahawks for can't answer who runs a on the deflection he had to not only get the football but keep his feet in yeah they're too bad plays by Rob haussler and have one just a lucky bounce for kam chancellor Seattle Seahawks what a big play today's game is sponsored by Southwest Airlines find our fares online only at southwest.com Seahawks 23rd interception of the season that's the most until II can't antlers third and Marshawn led to the offenses Russell Wilson take over from the Sun near the 23-yard line take a closer look at what Carson Palmer on third one was doing well he's number one him get present from me bein in his face and then throw through the arms of Tony McDaniel really the only place he could throw was behind Rob Haussler who's got to either make that catch or get that ball on the ground fortuitous bounce for the Seahawks in Chandler comes up with it it looks like once again obviously no one has scored on the Seahawks with their first drive to start a game and Bruce Arians aggressive call on third and one down there it's a turnover Lich's a receiver at the bottom of your screen after a game of 16 on the ground and Russell Wilson takes it on the ground Russell Wilson the most wins by a quarterback in the first two seasons in NFL history to start a career Doug Baldwin leads the demon touchdown catches with five no Percy Harvin in the eighth different starting offensive line up group up front this year yeah and these guys will have their hands full today Michael Bowie starting in guard for JR Sweezy he'll be going against Darnell Dockett most of the game number two rush offense against the number one run be down Russell Wilson steps up in the pocket [Applause] in the area of Jermaine Kearse so the coverage was good Patrick Peterson who has three interceptions at a couple of Pro Bowls was right there in the coverage in this Arizona defense they are allowing the league fewest 83 yards rushing a game at Carlos stands B leads the NFL and solo tackles and 20 passes to fist Dan vias playing great as is Darrell Washington how about Abraham in year 14 11 and a half sacks in the last eight games see how that rookie Tony Jefferson does today back at the critical safety spot normal safety with Rashad Johnson inactive today on third and five from the 28th Wilson on the move in coverage it's checked an incomplete Carlos Dansby who has three interceptions this year he feels like he should have five or six and that Shaughnessy is the one who put the pressure on Russell Wilson a good job by Darnell Dockett getting out being kind of a secondary contained guy that's an uncharacteristic play of Russell Wilson that is a bad decision to throw it right back into the teeth of coverage Arizona's got to make those plays Patrick Peterson back to return the punt John Ryan and Peterson says I gotta watch out for that Aussie ball he kicks it high and hangs it in the air member it is a little bit slick out there with light rain which of the only nineteen point return yards giving up this year by CI maybe another yard or two the record by the way the NFL record for a season on punt return yards allowed 49 by the Falcons in 2008 Arizona has the football thing skeet is sponsored by Bud Light official beer sponsor of the NFL light rain in the area temperature not bad in the mid 40s it may get up to 50 today Carson Palmer leading the offense Drew Stanton and Ryan quarterback's today for the tied into the backfield Ellington as a receiver Palmer with time froze and that was almost intercepted by Bobby Wagner trying to get it to Jake Ballard one of the reserve tight ends the ball just came out funny from Carson Palmer and he's lucky that one wasn't intercepted you cannot throw up these softballs and looks like it was Tim just as he unloaded and the viewer getting heat Carson Palmer can't see very well with away that big defensive linemen are leaping in his [Applause] from the 34-yard line Mendon hello [Applause] falls just short of the 40-yard line Mendenhall who has a touchdowns but he's only averaging three yards to carry at the knee surgery finally that brace off he says he's the healthiest he's been all year Andre Ellington sharing loan with five wide receivers coming in on 34 throughout this game man protections where Carson Palmer wants to be me short down in this [Applause] Palmer's pass is incomplete trying to go to Britain golden he had the big gainer 63 yards that set the Cardinals up before the turnover [Applause] Dave's aster dill will come on to do the punting standing back at his 26 yard line and Golden Tate back to return [Applause] it slipped the tackle inside the ten-yard line just in Bethel who is the special team star for Arizona here comes Russell Wilson in a scoreless game today's game on Fox is sponsored by Chevrolet find new roads [Music] Tim Ryan Jennifer Hale Chris Myers here in Seattle the Broncos winners and make which the division in the number one seat because the Colts who were going to the playoffs defeated Kansas City and here the Seahawks try to lay down the number one seed in the NFC Marshawn Lynch backwards by Dansby starting out at their own 11 the Seahawks went three and out on their first series and we know that Carolina won as the guys are pushed with a shovel and of course Dallas stayed alive rallied to beat the Redskins the Bengals over Minnesota and Miami lost at buffaloes of Cincinnati is in the playoffs as well yeah and if Baltimore loses in the game going on against New England Cincinnati will be the AFC North champion second down [Applause] yard they're all Washington making the tackle that will bring up third down and I know Marshawn Lynch having the two tackles back on that line that they didn't have in the earlier meeting he care once is running in to work against this tough Arizona D flush this is going to be a great matchup Arizona's virtually shut just about everybody down I think in the first matchup Lynch at 91 yards but this won't be a fist fight for those defensive tackles 60 minutes especially Darnell Dockett plays Campbell it is wrong appeal they're laughing they got drunk 58 [Applause] watch these backers four wide receivers extra pressure picked up this roll Jermaine Kearse it's another three and out Arizona's defense forcing Russell Wilson on the Seahawks into a bunting situation yep and look Arizona continues to send pressure with those inside linebackers a lot of times they'll send a six guy be in that safety and even if the ball comes out on time and you get it protected like it did there with with Russell Wilson good man coverage the quarterback has still got to make accurate growth so John Ryan standing inside the five it's in a way it's again hi fair catch wait for my Peterson who has an inside the 41 of Arizona the excellent field position with just over seven minutes to go in the opening quarter and the Cardinal defense has done its job let's see what the offense could do with that Dalton lost the Patriots points the AFC East we mentioned already that the Broncos won their the top seat of the ASC [Music] blamed for that number two seed and a five through the first round of quick game for them again from the 41 on first down andre ellington is loose down the sideline near the 31 yard line before Earl Thomas ran him out of Bounce the rookie from Clemson drafted in the sixth round who has been the best playmaker on offense when he's been given the football 11 yards a touch last week in their game at Tennessee I think he's a rising star in this league he has got electric speed good blocking up front he gets to the line of scrimmage on touch [Applause] yards if you don't a 26-yard game Rashard Mendenhall gets in and tries to get to the 31 is slipped backwards excellent defensive play by big red Brian when I say big he's over 330 and had some help from C Seahawk teammates yeah he got a full blown Seahawk gang tackle right here and they've tried now and it had some success running it right defender big red Bryant - for a big one on Ellington who responds on really the same type of play with a nice tackle on at the 31 of Seattle Andre Ellington checks back and he's an excellent receiver as well he's in the backfield [Applause] he gets the football looking for room Jeremie Lane the Nickelback making the play and he had been bother during the week with a sore ankle but able to come up big well you see the difference in and when Ellington hits it and goes north and south straight downhill versus when he jumped sideways this is what he can do once you go sideways right there against this defense with all that you better forget about actually lost two yards him so now they're going to bring in four wide receivers on third and eight [Applause] here comes the flag they're left are called stars that's what this surround-sound that keeps going around can do dia darren college by the way fall down number 71 he's from North Pole Alaska grew up on Santa Claus Lane and probably wishes he was celebrating the holidays rather than having that infraction because it hurts the field goal opportunity if the Cardinals get nothing here [Applause] intersection this time it's Richard Sherman every game he's played against Arizona he is old the Kaurava carson palmer's got great trust with his wide receivers and he to make a play Larry Fitzgerald late getting off the line of scrimmage but you can throw low and really with triple coverage to Larry Fitzgerald and it's not expect one of those Seahawks to pick it all the officiating crew reviewed the interception by Sherma to check down by contact here Scott great reviewing the playing and ruling on the field stands the man that's the seventh interception of the season by Sherman who looks like a receiver going to the ground on this one he sir does and maintained it all the way through the ball did not force or seized me the ground the football to move and then that for he was down by contact as soon as Fitzgerald put his hand on him but I'm telling you Carson Palmer that Bruce Arians were in and out on the sideline hit a big issue there was very Fitzgerald slow off the line of scrimmage to first quarter interceptions by the Seahawk defense Russell Wilson toast [Applause] incomplete trying to get it to Doug Baldwin Richard Sherman I mentioned his numbers this season Defensive Player of the Year candidate but in his career against the Arizona Cardinals he's come up in meanwhile Tim you were watching that sideline during the break and it looked like Carson Palmer and Bruce Arians were not on the same page never known Adam it sure you wonder about the health - of Carson and Larry Fitzgerald he had to clear the protocol for concussion and visit an independent neurologist the pass was intended Fitzgerald on second down twenty-eight the half-yard line Doug Baldwin makes the catch Carlos dance be right with him and there's this after the interception Carlos excuse me Larry Fitzgerald Carson Palmer Carson not happy and then here's Bruce Arians and his quarterback Carson Palmer over on the sideline and carts is saying wait a minute I saw this and Bruce's saying no you didn't and you can tell they're definitely not on the same page well they're trying to get there with Tom Moore who helps on offense now third and two the defense trying to keep Seattle from advancing from the 29 mission to throw slow it down by Jermaine Kearse it is a first down of Seahawks [Applause] the defenders in a good spot is unbelievable and he serves it up here and watch his receiver curse go make a play for him on that back shoulder throw and the Seahawk offense after a couple of three announcer Lee an 18-yard gain Annette clubber Porter and a first down up across the 46 yard Larissa Craig trophies great coverage every time sure short of midfield Darnell Dockett with the tackle which comes in having already a thousand-yard season 11 touchdowns an averaging over four yards to carry in which a guy who russell wilson said in the offseason the two of them talked about how they can elevate their game together and using him as a receiver was one other option and they had to do a little bit of that last week and they went over the giant yeah and he'll have a big role in that department today and also a pass protection against these linebackers in their blitz right at midfield Louis Campbell got there first if you don't put two on Peleus Campbell he will ruin your rug dick he is so long he's so angular and you can get it with the double teams when he gets his pad level high he tried to block him one-on-one weather away from from him he's going to destroy [Applause] at the 49 of Arizona third down and six now for the Seahawks for that the series [Applause] for the first down Ricardo Lockett remember no Percy Harvin the adventure is still bothering him and it hasn't affected this array of receivers that Wilson can go to I love this little concept man coverage here comes the Blitz you know Russell Wilson's got to get it out quick he looks over there sees his one-on-one matchups a clear-out with Golden Tate get some nice leverage to Ricardo Lockett open big first down from the 40th Arizona this drive of the day for the Seattle office [Applause] right away thy throughout powers [Music] Russell Wilson comes in completing 65% of his passes with 24 touchdown tosses back the 50 touchdown passes of his first two seasons is only behind Dan Marino and Peyton Manning all time and in the paint Manning certainly the frontrunner for MVP but there's not a quarterback in pro football that has been not consistent in game [Applause] they're a first down staying in bounds [Applause] nice play call by Darrell Bevell you can see all this man coverage you got opportunities to that tunnel screen to the outside [Applause] the Arizona Cardinals in an elimination game because Carolina won they need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive and if this defense can survive a first quarter in which carson palmer threw two interceptions that'll be good news for bruce areas seahawks already in the playoffs is trying to nail down that number one soon [Music] marshana down in a 10-yard line that's another just on point call for Darrell Bevell tough sledding inside that sounds play and which is going to flash you that's the end of the first quarter scoreless Cardinals and Seahawks put Seattle Bob Malou 61 year old Bruce Arians 62 year old Pete Carroll both I am the playoff picture after a 19 yard run by Marshawn Lynch it is 1st and 10 from the 11 yard line of Seattle meanwhile Russell Wilson who started out over four has completed his last five passes on you watch if let's continues out a couple of these runs how it sets up play-action for Western accent who's the best in the league out complete Darnell Dockett was all over Russell Wilson big challenge all day to run the ball against the number one run defense watched the block right here by Mack Weston on clay is Campbell that's the key to seal the edge and then you got receivers digging out safeties you got Oakland kicking out corners and that's going to give some nice running lanes for Marshawn Lynch but I thought a great play call by Darrell Bevell he tough sledding inside running it outside Melissa and the boys made some nice box Luke Wilson and Jermaine Kearse check in Golden Tate checks out which is the back wash on the couch Marcel it's not inside the fire [Applause] for good blocks and more ambition by the Seahawk offense to get it outside you block down with your tight ends and those outside linebackers get you tackles out in front punched it down inside the 10 yard line Darrell Bevell that dude right there Chris he knows who he is as a play caller it is gonna be a hot head coach in Canada ball spotted at the 4-yard line on third down and three [Applause] and the Seahawks it comes a flying game offense by marathoning there now maybe it was the silence that through the loss and that's rare for them especially down here tight in scoring position and the opportunity to get a first down inside the one and 33 goes to third mate it's amazing how even Bruce Arians said this crowd is smart they don't emit only to be quiet when they make noise listen early just as the reciever curse was making this turn and the coverage was good by antoine case it was very good by antoine jason and not a great throw by russell wilson who's really good at those anticipation froze throwing before the guys out of his break but this one if that's a yard further out in front of curse that's a touchdown it was behind him jason had an opportunity to bat it away to try and break the scoreless tie a 27-yard field goal attempt by stephen Hauschka who is 30 of 31 this season in fact since the block at indianapolis he's made 21 in a row brian beholder that little weird move to the left but account through Seattle scores first [Applause] defensive struggle continues but the hometown Seahawks the leaders hope you're having a good holiday season they certainly are here in the Seattle area [Music] today's game is sponsored by Ford only forgives you EcoBoost fuel economy and a whole lot more second quarter timrai Jennifer Hill in the field Chris Myers glad you're watching the NFL on Fox the Seahawks scraped through for a three nothing advantage Houska getting ready to kick off by the arrow Rita's will bring it out [Applause] of the 20-yard line will the Cardinal defense when they met earlier in the year in mid-october a dominant performance of victory by Seattle Tim the Cardinal said we're a different team now we don't even recognize ourselves certainly today defensively they're doing their job defensively they have done a good job giving up a couple of plays on the ground but they've survived the two interceptions by carson palmer and only given up three points Larry Fitzgerald said it he immediately looted to the distance to the wrong first down that watch it they watch that week seven game all week he said we didn't even recognize themselves well they look like the same offense today Carson Palmer in that passing game they've got to get better throw so it's just a matter of time as you like to say that Seattle Avalanche that's what Carson bobber said you can allow yourself he called it the like the walls are closing in on you here in Seattle after the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty number 89 for the Cardinals it backed some up even further the penalty now makes it first 220 Rashard Mendenhall thrown to the ground other according to the cargo roster there is no number 89 that was the number we were given by the official on the unsportsmanlike conduct which put the Cardinals in this hole so we'll check on exactly what the infraction was called by referee Scott green the Carson Palmer who's battled elbow injury that high left ankle injury last week and that overtime win against Tennessee because of his physical injuries now second and 15 [Applause] Bombers in trouble Bobby Wagner with the sign and you're just playing right into Seattle javadi you get in long down in distant situations and watched Bobby Wagner start outside and then slip right back inside behind red Brian who just got a bowl rush comes untouched carson palmer's got no chance athletically when he becomes a free runner and nobody wants that penalty was on frosty Rucker checking with the officiating crew on the kickoff now ba 989 third and 25 from the five [Applause] wakelock they just with the caption is brought down to her what a play by Maxwell [Applause] here's the penalty right here on frosty Rucker unsportsmanlike conduct penalty right there on 98 as he pushed Coleman and that pushed him back put him in the top down in distance situation and Pete Carroll unloaded the Golden Tate from the forty drilled backward when he got to the 41 yard line of Arizona but excellent field position as Kevin winter made the hit after an 18 yard return on a 51-yard punt this January it's a shutout between two of the most explosive offenses in the country 13th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys go up against eighth ranked Missouri in the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic coverage on Friday January 3rd at 7:30 Eastern 4:30 Pacific here on Fox yeah there's the old cowboy right there former Oklahoma State or Brussels Oakland first round victim glad to have him back it was totally the year spotted at the 43 which slips one tackle or it's still spinning around on the arms of Cardinals and that's what I said I mean they've gotten clays Campbell once in this game with that outside cosplay but you try to block this guy one on one he is going to get into your backfield and forget it I mean he's three yards in the backfield by max Unger and Lynch has got no chance after a loss of two it will be second down 12 [Applause] lotion on the move forts one [Applause] can I get into his tight end it's third down it's a really good job defensively by Arizona here my belt would have had a chance being in that ball if he didn't slip but Chris it's a three-man rush man and I think if you watch John Abraham who has been a sac master throughout his career he's got his head right in terms of we got to keep Russell Wilson in the pocket with a three-man rush and he basically just screamed up and just stayed in front of them and Russell Wilson wasn't able to get out and really challenged the lion scrimmages [Applause] 45 yard line blitz is on passes incomplete for Zack Miller and Russell Wilson had to get rid of it in a hurry it's fourth down Wilson is now 5 out of 13 for just 45 yards flirted some Gretzky's because some credit to the pressure and they're sending and making Russell get it out on time but let's give that back-end some credit down a couple of players today the Arizona Cardinals they've covered up those receivers well in terms of the one-on-one coverage again the rookie Tony Jefferson in for safety Rashad Johnson had no Tyrann Mathieu he's been injured now inside the 5 bi who else Jeremy Lane after a 41-yard kick well-placed by Ryan and there's been so many of these the football it's in front of it that downs it at the 3 yard line [Music] in the playoff picture the Cardinals are in an awkward spot because of the Carolina victory they were hoping [Music] against Carolina head now if they lose today the Cardinals are out of the way that's it go home or next week needs nothing for the Cardinals against the 49er [Applause] from the 4-yard line it's Rashard Mendenhall who gets outside and it's fun out of bounds and there's a flash Kant Chancellor made the tackle like through my gear face mask or a horse collar or something let's get blocked by Jim Dre the tight end out on Malcolm Smith and that heavy personnel groupings know how I'm gonna face mass number 21 15-yard penalty first down I think I think he meant 31 on UK Chancellor that's right but again you get into these heavy tight and personnel groupings two running backs two tight ends Seattle loads the box there's a facemask there on oncam Chancellor block Jim do it which kids Arizona water relief that's being backed up against that goal line eight yard runs 15 yard penalty now up at the 27-yard line first down Mendenhall the name tough gets up across the 30-yard line the andre ellington who you've seen his flash of brilliance already has been bothered by a sore quadricep we've talked about Larry Fitzgerald who has yet to catch a pass in this game coming off the concussion Larry could say I don't rate things to say about Ellington as a matter of fact he said he was talking to Marshall Faulk the Hall of Fame running back he said Marshall what's the work at Andre Ellington this offseason after his rookie year ago and Larry said it Larry I mean that's big the hall came were the one worker the rookie running back from the 31-yard [Applause] it is andre ellington and not a lot of room check in with Jennifer Hale hi Jennifer well hi Chris I tell you what to echo what Tim was saying about andre ellington finals running back coach Mitchell calls Ellington a clone of Percy Harvin just in case you're wondering what expectations are modesty [Applause] for the show Palmer said he could be the number two receiver on any NFL team if that's the position he play let's see what they do on third down and five [Applause] Palmer has time throws and completes Andre Roberts across the 40 with the first down I like that style right there and schematically you stack up your receiver with a running back you forced Seattle to play a little bit of off coverage with their man and it gives you a cushion to get past the first down sticks it's a great concept from booth Bruce Arians and is all fun Bruce Arians said the outfits came together when the receiver started to understand the complex offense more and more for Carson Palmer [Applause] almost intercepted by camp Chancellor he already has one he was trying to get to Michael Floyd and in that opening quarter a scoring opportunity on third down and one this was in the end zone that's what part of that the Chancellor came out of it and then my this is the bathroom ever wanna throw it into triple coverage this gel was laid off the snap never got to where he wanted to be you talked about that trust Carson Palmer blind throws trusting guys will be in spot marry for sale these two no way timing-wise you no catches for Fitzgerald or Floyd so far in the game we're in on a timeout Bruce Arians will have two timeouts remaining the Seahawks used one early they will also have two remaining Seahawks with a three nothing lead Cardinals facing a second and ten these can be sponsored by Taco Bell sometimes you got to live mas from the Arizona forty second and ten pass is caught going to the 45-yard line by Larry Fitzgerald 148 consecutive game with a catch for him that's the second longest active streak in the NFL behind Tony Gonzalez this Seahawk defense has not allowed big plays much of the year they're proud of that team those 20 or more but so far in this game Arizona has the 26 yard run from Ellington and a 63-yard catch from Britain Golden's Rankin it's [Applause] Stefan Taylor comes in on 35 Palmer quotes it thought Fitzgerald first down and gets out of bounds in Seattle territory let's get a game break check in with Joel clap Rachel hey Chris let's go up to the frozen tundra Green Bay trying to keep pace in the NFC North then drop this burger though plus to the left finds Emmanuel Sanders we had a tie ballgame on the frozen tundra 7-7 Chris and Tim I Thank You Joel again no Aaron Rodgers for the Packers that's a daily drama during the week withers in a foyer packer still in the playoff picture excellent position if they went out [Applause] from the 47 yard line its Mendenhall it breaks through gets down to around the 40 and knock inside the 40 of the Seahawks running it right at the heart just right here watch Eric Winston's block hot at right tackle he blocks down on Clinton McDonald pushes him into Bobby Wagner the middle linebacker and that opens up a nice crease straight downhill per second the second one [Applause] Seattle Britain golden tech cents up here screen he's the flyer [Applause] first down Mendenhall same one they just ran rep Bryant ended up bringing them down that's where Mendenhall is always really made hay with Pittsburgh Steelers and that's why Bruce Arians trusts them now is is an inside runner in between the tackles and then you bring in a guy like Andre Ellington with that speed and that's you got to be fun for you [Applause] from the 34cm mendenhall maybe a yarder to Mendenhall said after the surgery that he still had some pain he had to wear the brace for a while he's battled a hamstring a back injury a finger injury they haven't even talked about a toe injury which nobody else has talked about but somehow he's been reliable that's it Chris and a lot of people been down on mentioned is yards per carry early deca is done the redzone turkish foreign touch Ellington checks in [Applause] from the 32 Carson Palmer for floor catches many flag is down the offensive pass interference he pushed Richard Sherman it looked like over the top to gain some room to go get the football in appearance offense and here it is it's underthrown Carson Palmer heaves it off his baffle and there's the push get Sherman out of the way and then coming down with it that's an easy call for the officials and the right call [Music] pack some up now to the 42-yard [Music] [Applause] one second at 18 it would be a 60 year try at this point [Applause] andre ellington hesitates it's back to the 41 yard line where it'll be third and long Malcolm Smith making the tackle the Seattle defense no KJ Wright had the foot surgery Brandon browner suspended lost the appeal he's out of the picture and Walter Thurmond who is coming off a suspension should be able to play next week or be back for the Seahawks and yet they keep right on role sit up front with their path number two concerning old Thomas [Applause] on 3rd at 16:00 Palmer throws it open that's Andre Roberts falling near the first down marker I think they're gonna get it you see the spot Michael Floyd was giving the signal as if it was a first down over the line not official but that looks good enough sure does and it is a first down a 17 yard gain on a third and long you give Carson Palmer this much time and play zone against it he is going to find the open guy sitting down in the soft spot those are the kind of clutch plays [Applause] to have mendenhall down around the 26 25 yard line on the first down caring it's amazing we had we had Arizona week 5 against Carolina and they won that game and course Pete Carroll had great years with Carson Palmer at USC but Carson Palmer is so much better in their passing game which is obviously with all the new players been a work in progress Chris heap slide you had a 69 rating over the last seven games 1:06 later from the 21-yard line Ellington [Applause] Carson Palmer also has input in the game plan during the week with Bruce Arians he's able to say I like these plays and Marian says we'll find a way to work them in so you're comfortable and I don't think in the beginning Bruce Arians and his coaching staff felt like they were gonna let Carson Palmer have that input he said he wears you out during the week the game plan but he's right for the game and the plays he like looks like the coach watch the time out for the Cardinals maybe needs Carson's recommendation on 3rd and 8th from the 21 yard line Arizona will have one timeout remaining Seahawks have a three nothing lead but the Cardinals are threatening here in Seattle Cardinals in a survival game facing an important third down here they're four of eight so far against this top-ranked defense they agreed on his drive need eight they're at the 21 of the Seahawks which after michael kors rank Babur gets rid of it y'see because taking a sack there would have just been awful and Tony McDaniel put the heat on for the Seahawks well and he had Floyd in a spot-up route on an in cut but the pressure just got to him too fast Clint McDonald right up inside has had a really nice season for Pete Carroll on the Seattle Seahawks and really forced Carson Palmer to get off that quick read basically throw the ball away field goal try of 39 for Jay feeling [Applause] we are tied in Seattle [Music] an exchange of field goals and Cardinals with one timeout remaining Seattle with two and Tim you've referenced the earlier meeting this year there also was last year where some of the Cardinals remember what happened at least 14 Marshawn Lynch led the attack tying a career-high with three rushing touchdowns Seahawks had four fumbles they entered john skelton four times and they arizona 58 to nothing now Bruce Arians was asked he said it's not our offense it's not our defense we're a different team but he's right 11 of the starters from this game today we're not starters last week and don't think for a minute because look that flim came in the game and they were throwing go routes at the end of that game and guys like Darnell Dockett who has been in a gazillion of these matchups against the Seahawks he remembers that as does Darrell Washington as do a few other guys on defense that were around and believe me they're thinking about it today but Bruce Arians said the Seahawks are good but somebody said Tom what if he said no they're not dominant but with a score in the earlier meeting this year on that Thursday night at Arizona was a 34:22 get whatnot close but that was a short week for Bruce Arians and the Cardinals and he appreciated the extra time this time to get ready for Co Robert turbine back to receive detective feeling threatened the Goa [Applause] knocked down at the 26 five-gallon butcher and the ball is a scramble afterwards the initial ruling was now [Music] with just over two minutes to play before the half Arizona's got football and turban was just carrying that thing away from his body she a signal from the bottom of the pile 2:08 now Pete Carril he's going to be the guy to want to challenge this because it's not going to the booth if Pete sees anything up on the big board Brian McCann came out of there with it here's turban on the return and look how loose he's carrying that football away from his body we're not out he's not out not out looks like the left forearm may have been down and he still secured that football well ruled on the field Cardinal football under review in the final two it's of course if it's ruled a fumble automatic review upstairs and Tim it looks like he's down yeah and and he still had possession of the ball when that right forearm went to the ground and the ground forced the ball loose that's the right call see how he keeps the football scott green the referee made the announcement during the break and added time on the clock is row Seahawks with two timeouts first down defensively critical they didn't stop here on this Drive so yeah can't recreate that players the 31-yard line worth three or four Cardinals have had it bottled up at the 29 he carried him with him he carries some Cardinal players a we are carried to the two-minute warning here in Seattle today's game on Fox is sponsored by Pepsi live for now Beauty and the Beast mode in Seattle after a seven yard run from Lynch they looked a lot better than that 58 yards rushing for Lynch averaging over six yards of carry today a 33-yard line Russell Nelson across the 35 Tony Jefferson with a tackle to keep him from getting the first down Seattle clock running here with two timeouts and Russell Wilson really been unable to find his groove with limited opportunities here in the first half let's see if he can capture it as they go into the locker can you run for it that's made by Baldwin was he involved something matter didn't finish the process Chris all the way through the cat lost the football it looks like he's hurting over their home again up that's that second baseman laser from Brussels will sadly this look at that release and the Peter and he drags the toe but does not finish the process of the cats through the gap Brown that'll be incomplete I mean everything was great until you get to this part right there and the ball comes loose officials right on top of that so it's fourth down John Ryan standing back at the 20 Patrick Peterson hoping to get an opportunity just over a minute and one timeout for the Cardinals and he's got it across the 26-yard line the road to the Super Bowl you'll see it from New Jersey in February on Fox the Seahawks if they win they're already in the playoffs ten but of course they win they get the number one seed in the first round by Carolina wins today they're in the playoffs the Saints still have a shot as well the 49ers play and they play tomorrow night vacant spot now what about the Cardinals though they have to win here to keep hopes alive and they're slim into the solutely there's no doubt with Carolina winning today this really becomes a winner go home game for the Arizona Cardinals sit in that seven spot [Applause] seahorse their eighth division title and a number one seed for the second time in the franchise history to write down tied with the [Applause] there comes a flag from man the home on the offense find here a felony it'll be first and 15 Bruce Arians have the wait till 864 his first opportunity as a head coach in the NFL 20 years as an assistant five different teams course he was a head coach at college and temple back in the 80s I love that guy when you look at Bruce Arians probably doing more with less than anybody in the for coach of the year but Bruce Arians without question a candidate [Applause] from the 22-yard line it's andre ellington with some shifty moves getting up across the 26-yard line there is a statistic Tim called up amazing they have this an elusive rating in Ellington has the highest rating in the NFL elusive rating at 77 and he came into this game averaging three and a half yards after contact as we have a member of the Seahawks second area doesn't leave the field at second and 11 Ellington reminds me of is a young Chris Johnson when he was with the Tennessee Titans and ran for 2000 yards I mean that electric speed in the open field that still has power to rub through guys that's who Ellington reminds me of he's a fairy but important third and six for Arizona because Seattle gets the football to start the second half [Applause] instrument it's an incentive it's Malcolm sniff third interception of the game for the Seahawks the way inside the side of the cargo he Terrell defensively was not going to sit back they bring the pressure lane right here he had Ellington wide open but Carson just unloads it over the middle of the field ball gets bounced up in the air and Malcolm Smith is waiting for it for interception number three for this Seahawk p5 and number 25 for the season adding to the red FL lead it was Chris Clemons who tipped that ball and set the Seahawks up beautifully at a 3 3 game carson palmer's got to see that blitz earlier and then not a panic throw he knows that blitz is coming he's got a better idea that the ball needs to come out quick to his hot read through his blitz Bader that one took him by surprise and he served up a pepper more shiny excavated all bottled at the end there year Amaya Bell was down at the goal line with him [Applause] that interception by Malcolm Smith was the first of his career but Aryans expects expects more from his veteran quarterback Seahawks use it timeout so they'll have one remaining each team with the timeout to go here before the half coming up the Visa halftime report with Terry Kurt now a Michael Jimmy all the scores and highlights including the Panthers win over the Saints the Cowboys rallying to beat the Redskins the Bengals were winners the Broncos even though the Tennessee Titans defeating Jacksonville Jets winners over Cleveland the Colts win in Kansas City Rams beat Tampa Bay and Buffalo knocked off Miami and any scores in progress the high drama that this league provides every Sunday is ridiculous you love it including here where Darrell Bevell knows that a touchdown going into the half and then getting the opportunity to get the ball to start the second half will be huge Marshawn Lynch what a tremendous defensive effort dance we and Cardinals following to make a third and goal now this is a good illustration why they're number one in run defense they can dominate the point with their defensive lineman good job by frosty Rutger and the other guys and then let the linebackers just flow over the top and hit your running back right in the mouth as you saw there from Dan's being Darrell Washington folks have Seattle use their last timeout on third down and goal and you always talk about should they not get it on a running play obviously hustling out a field goal team is critical but what you really need Chris is is you need 16 seconds to kick the field goal kicker you know yeah oh the time on the clock and you run it and the running back gets tackled there is plenty of time to get how it's getting the unit out there to take the field over 27 seconds remaining would you anticipate you've got Russell Wilson something where he's on the move where it's a run throw option so that at least he can protect the clock if necessary and they don't get into the end zone that to me would be the wise thing to do against this number one rush defense but sometimes being Carroll like to send the message offensively and give it to the piece yeah and that's what I think they saw three tight ends in friendly Arizona this is their third and final time so they saw three Titan so they figure we got to adjust our defense Cardinals use their last timeout and the gears on each side line grinding here with 27 seconds to go before the half the last team to defeat the Seahawks at home was the San Francisco 49ers Arizona Cardinals in a survival game here and it's amazing even with three interceptions from carson palmer that this game is as close as it is for arizona well defensively gave arizona a lot of credit then number seven in the NFL on defense they haven't had great pressure on on russell wilson today that they've had enough and they've had good support on back in and turn need another big stand here with Marshawn Lynch on third down [Music] complete Russell gets knocked to the turf with the 15-yard line put the pressure on and now there's no decision for Pete Carroll he's going to come in to try the field oh great defensive call because Todd Bowl just is expecting the bootleg sends pressure off the edge with frosty Rutger he is right in the face of Russell Wilson they expected that play to come they got it called the right defense to defend it well done Todd Bowles defensive coordinator in his first year with Arizona dialed up a beautiful defensive call to match that so now the 19 yard try to get the Seahawks the lead we've got a whistle at a flag [Applause] if you're Pete Carroll you're not gonna go for it on fourth and one for the touchdown I think against this defense the way this game is going this far snap infraction offense five-yard penalty fourth down certainly not now you got to get your points and Pete Carroll knows it against this defense for the Arizona Cardinals Clint Gresham the long snapper snapper for field goals punts called for the penalty so now it's a 24 yard try house get has made one earlier he's 31 32 for the season Malaya's Campbell has blocked field goals of his career automatically what the field goal is no good you can hear just open your ears and listen that upright is not a live ball for Tony Jefferson that's not the digital boom that Seattle fans want to hear but I wonder how much the rush or the threat of a block from that Cardinal special teams unit because seconds the first field goal when Houska made us down had that move to the left as well and those books those are cheap shots for for house games but money all year absolutely he just shanked that one and hit the upright in Arizona is staying alive because their defense despite those three interceptions have kept them in this game Russell Wilson 6 out of 16 47 yards Marshawn Lynch has run for 60 but couldn't get it into the end zone and Carson Palmer who's 8 out of 16 with 115 yards and three interceptions survives a first half and we're tied we'll head to the third quarter when the car goes we'll be kicking off to Seattle peace a halftime report coming up here in just a bit we're glad to have you watching the NFL on Fox [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] all goes together Pearl Jam in Seattle follow your favorite team all season long go to itunes.com slash NFL Larry Fitzgerald had a rough game here three catches though coming off the concussion of last week in a 30 era - for him ten years for Larry Fitzgerald first concussion Chris in his career which is amazing he's only missed one game because of injury in his career that missed field goal by Houska snapped a string of 22 consecutively including one earlier otherwise Seattle would have believed feely for Robert turban [Music] stepping across the 26 yard line Tim Ryan Chris Myers our perch here in Seattle and the chilly raindrops let's talk about the Seattle offense not a whole lot going there Golden Tate one cats Baldwin one catch what does Russell Wilson have to do to kind of break this demo well I think it needs to go to the tight ends I mean the tight ends against this defense is really the place to go in terms of the way they play their coverages one throw to the tight ends and I guess one catch by the tight ends Luke Wilson with one so there's got to be more tight end feature in this game of course got to be better on third down and better in the red zone two trips inside the twenty one field goal one missed field goal condition fire is diving incomplete there's a flag on the play and he was trying to get it to Golden Tate holding defense on the 58 right here on Connolly automatic rush down on Darrell Washington the call tape the leading receiver coming into the game for Seattle and there's Darrell Washington there and it looked like Golden Tate as he went down was holding his left hand as he gets up off the ground he stays in the game now from the 31 yard line of Seattle on first down Russell Wilson [Music] Christmas he's in Arizona Territory Fasano pounds untouched that's Wilson will take your heart out of your chest and Arizona has done a heck of a job containing him keeping him in the pocket today when he's been outside the market he hasn't had a big of any big throws but that time he was able to crease him up inside and look at those numbers Chris for a guy with those 25 plus our 25 runs of 10 plus and everything he's able to do with his legs it's awesome 27 yard gain on first down he's set to throw trouble gets out of it throws completes a wish inside the 40 well Russell Wilson told us and he didn't have to check his list when I asked him about goal setting his own goals rattled off four in a row he consistent be dominant be clutch and be healthy and he's checked them all off and healthy as part of that he runs a lot but he doesn't get hit a lot and doesn't get injured yeah he's got good eyes in those eyes sometimes in the back of his head terms of seeing Shaughnessy coming unblocked off the edge there saw it burst it outside and one thing on that graphic which I thought is huge in terms always runs three negative Ronnie throughout this year he's comfortable out of pocket let's go creak particles throw him down before he gets to the 40 Dan Williams led the charge let's check in with Jennifer Hale the Cardinals coach Bruce Arians visibly frustrated with his offense described them as giving this game away wanted to spend half time getting Larry Fitzgerald and Carson Palmer on the same page he admits Palmer's ankle is giving him trouble meanwhile Pete Carroll certainly shares that offensive frustration he describes the Cardinals defense is playing their butts off than being extremely effective obviously against Russell Wilson and Chris Shen that defense now to the third and eight the Seattle is at the Arizona 40 hoping for a big Cardinal stop was to all three come third nation and picked up he was trying to get it to Jermaine Kearse but Rob powers was running with him in his fourth deafness it's no surprise when Arizona gets you into these down and distances third and eight plus they're gonna send six players to get after your quarterback which opens up perimeter opportunities give guys in in coverage on the back end some kudos today for the Arizona Cardinals because they have not gotten home with the Blitz in terms of the sacks but they've had good coverage man up isolation one on one to the outside Peterson just across the 12 yard line a 28 yard putt but no return and the Cardinals start out inside their own 15 cities game is sponsored by Southwest Airlines find our fares online only at southwest.com and by Ram trucks guts glory Ram at the EMP museum here in seattle jimi hendrix exhibit of course Hendrix from Seattle the museum in this Seattle tea from the 13 yard line Carson Palmer 8 of 16 with 115 yards three interceptions his career worst four interceptions in a game and Bruce Arians telling Jennifer Hale that giving this game away at the half and fortunate to be Na in a tie game building tape checking that hand that Tim talked about when he quit diving for the football targeted a few times but unable to come up with a big catch second and six that's all [Applause] Lynden hall hardness come out their first series here in the second half staying on the ground they've actually had more total yards in the game in Seattle Seahawks only 140 190 for Arizona but those three turnovers [Music] and here comes a Lolita talu the backup nose tackle who is a gigantic fullback on 3rd and 2 and played here at the University of Washington all 360 pounds of them went to ranier Beach High School originally from Kent Washington and we're gonna get a tie down my mouth Arizona [Applause] tied at 3 facing third and to Arizona will have two timeouts here in the second half January the showdown with a couple of explosive offensive teams Oklahoma State and Missouri and the ACNC Cotton Bowl on Fox coverage beginning Friday January 3rd 4:30 Pacific 7:30 eastern time would help you tune in for some college football Carson Palmer course won the Heisman at USC his coach Pete Carroll he talked about going for the kind of back office goes to play action [Applause] his last year at USC he's all those the Heisman Trophy see what plumber does here Peck into Carson he said this is where Seattle loves to send the pressure these short third down a different situation cover to throw and almost intercepted he looked one way and threw it nowhere Jake Ballard was in the area well that the blitz came they were able to pick it up bad throw from Carson Palmer Chris I think that ankle is an issue I mean it's gonna get picked up here by Stephane Taylor but Carson Palmer's really got no mobility at that point it's got none well in the overtime win against Tennessee last week as Golden Tate comes back to receive the punt such detail get inside the 25 get some room all the way down to the 47 yard line of Arizona before year bell knocked him down a 29-yard reserved [Applause] Golden Tate sets up Seattle nicely trying to break a three all game as outstanding as the season is bent for the Cardinals with nine wins to stay alive in the playoff race they hit the wind today because the Panthers won and clinched a playoff style Seattle's aren't in hoping for the number one seed a wind up [Music] Terron Powers was right with Doug Baldwin what a terrific play by Jerrod powers cuz Doug Baldwin who gets up high in the air and stretches out has his hands on this football right there and then powers basically just rips the arms apart what's his right arm now rip in between those arms have basically separate them and then almost comes up with the interception himself that is outstanding I tell you what as good as they've been on defense today Chris and then we get to score some points to supplement their offer and that's really a big reason why they won six of their last seven games you look at him in though and three of the last four they have scored a touchdown on defense some of those players I'm sure thinking back to that 58 nothing troubling Arizona took from Seattle up here last year well bombers got to be a little bit more quads you know on third one he throws the pick get a third and short back here was off and the ankle you know they adjusted I started to say last week they had to adjust the game plan induce less things offensively because of his injury it's carried over into this game carson tom has got thick skin and this defense he's playing well he'll have his opportunities trying to get out he does throws incomplete darrel Washington put the pressure on it has that great speed exhibit stay with Russell not only did he put the pressure on he kept hemming Russell Wilson up and keeping him in the pocket that was one of the strategies the Cardinal said they were going to rush deeper this time just look at him playing with his eyes Chris always stayed in position keeping his eyes on Russell Wilson so if and when he does try to escape Darryl Washington's there to put Darryl Washington scuse me is there to put pressure on him awesome what a stop by the Cardinal defense where they see offset excellent there's Peterson fair catch at the 16-yard line of arizona Russell Wilson frustrated we're tied at three Cargill defensive coordinator Todd Bowles who set up Russell Wilson he beat you with his arm his legs in his head but so far today that defense is held up Russell Wilson 2 for 10 on third down as he tries to get his offense fired up I'm telling you a defensive football raises morale I don't care their defense has got to believe in they could win Ellington is the slot receiver on first down for Palmer he throws right away for Fitzgerald here cuts a flag as he was between two Seattle did Sir Richard Sherman was one of them and if you ever question arm strength to Carson Palmer if he still got velocity on the ball that should answer your question right there that was a laser [Applause] [Music] yeah it was the right arm of Richard Sherman around the shoulder Pat of Larry Fitzgerald which really turned his upper body firm probably didn't need to do that he was in great position but it was that little pole that turned the upper body of Fitzgerald that made it obvious 17 yard penalty sets him up at the 34 yard line first down Arizona handoff Rashard Mendenhall who goes nowhere the Cardinal offense that of a string of 10 straight games of scoring 20 points or more we mentioned they had won six of their last seven games coming in so that offense stymied by the number one defense in the NFL but Arizona with a top ten defense of its own holding up against Seattle Ellington it'll be third down stops short of the 40 let's get a game break check in with Curt Menefee hey Curt Hey use the alternate must win a lot right well this is a must-win for Detroit droit bells touchdown pulls them to within three of the Giants they still trailing at home in the second half Chris and Tim if the Lions news they're eliminated from the playoffs don't thinking one said that three weeks ago well that's right Curt that's how it is for Arizona to must-win if they lose this game they're eliminated from the Casa Bella for wide receivers and stuff on tell on third down Palmer will not get the first down [Applause] [Music] and here comes the putt team for Arizona and it's the right call this area of the field the score of this game so much time left to go I mean it's a no-brainer Arizona doesn't really go for it much I think only five times all year on fourth down so here close to midfield you may be thinking why not in a game like [Music] ports just beyond the Seattle 10-yard line so playing the field position game after a 48 yard boot and no return golden tape in the huddle earlier you saw in this play effective examine twice that hand he's had it retake but he's staying in the game well it looks like it's his left thumb as he went down there you can see him grabbing and pulling at his left thumb and now from the 12 yard line with Lynch the back for Golden Tate he hangs up brought down rot away by Patrick Peterson who in theory is shadowing him much of the day and you talk about these receivers for Russell Wilson and of course lost Sidney Rice during the year Percy Harvin comes in and plays against Minnesota his old team and his hip acts up a few days later and I got to tell you there's no guarantee Percy Harvin's coming back to this office it's a mystery from week to week the hip pain keeps coming back we asked Pete I said can you assume if you get to where you want to be he's ready to go in the playoffs P said I can't say that there's nowhere where it'll be third now you talk about the see how offense Tim looking for the tight end more was interesting the Cardinals in their five defeats they gave up 11 touchdown catches two tight ends so teams have taken advantage with tight ends against Arizona's defense at least earlier in the year absolutely last two games against these guys Zach Miller scored a touchdown and we seven-time Jeff Zack Miller and Kevin Davis scored a touchdown the rotation of that secondary and how they cover the tight end can be a big option they get the Willie go to today here's that Noah Marshawn Lynch top of your screen as a receiver Russell Wilson that pocket pushes him back Thanks it can get rid of it out-of-bounds never be without football get coverage of every NFL game on NFL mobile call star star NFL and download it now and here comes the punting unit you think about home games you know Seattle's undefeated at home Tim but remember they went to overtime had to rally to beat Tampa Bay winless at the time the mana tough time with Tennessee here as well in a home game the final was ended up being 20 to 13 they had to battle the Titans who by the way won today Marko's doing their part as we are tied fair catch Peterson Hansen just inside the 45 yard line of the Cardinals a 37-yard punt of no return the Cardinal defense doing its job on Russell Wilson of the Seattle office Golden Tate with the injury Jermaine Kearse limped off and receiver for Seattle now Brian Walters they moved up from the practice squad but he is inactive so you've got des lunes hey Doug Baldwin Kherson Lockett a couple of mailing and he's already got that right ankle he's a curse has already got that right ankle retake he could see it Ellington carries top veronica midfield on a first down the rookie who was going to be a third round draft pick many teams said but he ran in the 40 at the combine he had a hamstring he tried to tell people they didn't listen so he didn't run a very good time and the Cardinal said you know we'll take you anyway and he's been a productive playmaker setting up the second down five what an absolute steal in the sixth round when you talk vondre Ellington averaging just under six yards of carry coming into the game Mendenhall Jackson waiting to run but Kennedy barely getting back to midfield Rhett Bryan when you can't outrun Rhett Bryant you know your ankle is bothering him and Carson's a better athlete than then everybody thinks you know I was doing USC games way at the start of his career Carson Palmer could run and I think he can still run I think he's an underrated athlete but that ankle is an issue you're right could not run away from red ryan told us early earlier happy to be here in Arizona his last hurrah to finish up his career here in talk to Carson a lot that elusive Lombardi Trophy right now it's about third and five bombur's throw tipped in the air Richard Sherman was eyeing maybe another one great plan by Pete Carroll today no one Carson Palmer when you don't get heat on them once to drive the ball down the seams down the middle of the field and those linebackers are just sitting at the line of scrimmage poaching routes look at Bobby Wagner get your hands up and bat it down Michael Floyd is still without a catch he came in with over 900 receiving yards and here comes another punt from the sax today in size the tip Seattle will take over on offense as American Idol looking for the next superstar joint Jennifer Lopez Keith Urban Harry Connick jr. and Ryan Seacrest as they search for the best new talent American Idols most exciting season yet begins Wednesday January 15th on Fox will the Cardinals and young general manager Steve kind they've brought in a lot of new talents 28 players new to the roster we talked about 11 different starters and already 9 wins for Arizona and of holding their own against the Seattle offense first ninety what [Music] these huge points by the way at home for Seattle this season is when they score 20 in that narrow win over the Tennessee Titans I have not seen Russell Wilson struggle like this maybe in forever and look at this number for Russell Wilson in this game and you couple that with what he's been able to do throughout his career here outside the pocket outside the pocket today Curtis he's like 3 of 8 for 13 yards that's the story of this boy game well the car wash won't let him get outside of the pocket the rushing wide as Lynch carries [Music] [Applause] Carlos dance be celebrating the tackle remember the opening week for Seattle when they played at Carolina the final was 12 7 Seahawks and they frustrated that Panther defense they won today they're in the playoffs but they frustrated rustling with the Seattle office much of the game but he had the big touchdown pass laid they were able to win the game Wow you know what he did in that game is he made a couple of big plays from the pocket his Carolina kept him in the pocket just as Arizona's go able to make those throws like you dizzy opener since they're down at age from the pocket there colitis Campbell with his seven SEC of the season and I would be surprised they also get James Carpenter who trying to block two layers Campbell on a holy calling offense number 77 penalty has decline fourth down good eyes your former defensive lineman I guess you see all right where the eyes go right to the pit baby you go right down to the middle of it all and there's coleus Campbell right here as I said earlier you don't block him with two he is gonna ruin your game plan under late getting over the top James Carpenter just has to tackle them herself declined that penalty and Peleus will get his seventh sack of the season standing at his back of his own returners peterson forward 30 and brought down there one of the better returns against this special teams unit all season long will the underdog Cardinals nobody has won here in Seattle this year last year 49ers the last team to win up here we have a flag down at the 45 yard line that will probably bring Arizona back a little bit holding holding receiving team joining the tournament warning 10-yard penalty first down sorry that's one case up here and this will really hurt field position for the Cardinals yeah and you see it right there and I it's not gonna make that play as good as he is the hands out for casein like what are you talking about that's a good call so instead of being inside the 40 they're back at their own 45 yard line with three and a half to go here in the third all we have is a field goal from each Steve miss one right before the half a chip shot mendenhall the back he gets the carry there is a hole not down at the 49 by Richard Sherman coming up from his corner position and if you're the Cardinals and Carson Palmer suffering three interceptions obviously he could shake off the memory how do you play this knowing it's a low-scoring defense it kinda game yeah I think it's got to keep believing you stick with the run game which they've been able to do obviously Carson's not today with the pressure and the cover it's on the back end but I'm telling you if he in one six or seven games get in these tough spots as good as their defenses playing [Applause] to make a player too [Applause] nothing there's a flag down and currently third down pending the call here maybe a face mask yeah personal file we're going to facemask defense 15-yard penalty first down we'll try to take a closer look we didn't get a number on that that's a big call to set him up it's the Apple territory otherwise I would've been facing third and a difficult down or difficulty artists 247 to play [Music] [Applause] and here's a look at it right here and it's Michael Bennett the defensive lineman number 72 that stuck his left arm out there and grabbed Mendenhall around the face then if the leading sacker on this Seattle tee was seven and a half and haven't called his name today so from the 37 where they would have been after the punt return without the original penalty get on the wheel right here deep he catches it on the side of Richard Sherman's that's one tackle maneuvers down the sideline and gets something out of that kam chancellor ran him out of bounds Chancellor had a pick earlier if you tuned it a little bit late three interceptions for this Seattle defense camp Chancellor with one of them you can just tell when you when Ellington gets the football I don't care if it's deep if it's shallow if it has a runner he is a threat in Seattle does not miss a lot of tackles there number two in the NFL it being the first guy there to get a tackle they've missed their fair share today and some of those have been on andre ellington from the 33-yard line [Applause] if your person Palma its Ellington again dancing around [Applause] near the 30 before Chancellor and Sherman amount of bounds I love the fact that Bruce Arians is sticking with the running game the despite you know Seattle and looking at the score and how good they are on defense because you're wearing them out you're chewing up the clock you're putting yourselves in good slow down a distance situations now a third then Seattle now trust Seattle as you can see now four wide receivers go home [Applause] to Ellington Seattle was ready and short of the first down so Carson Palmer as if there was a high snap I like the play I don't think they factored in Earl Thomas being able to make that tackle one-on-one in space this is why Errol Thomas is the best free safety in pro football everybody recognizes him as a cover guy he up in that tackle box your best player Aaron Thomas Defensive Player of the Year candidate Richard Sherman city vote for him and now a 46-yard tribe from Chile [Applause] and the Cardinals have the lead here in Seattle Pelias two for two today little extra shoving going on down at the 30 NFC West Division clash you see each other twice a year in the official sense to stay calm it's a festive time of a year [Laughter] let's talk a little defensive but you complimented just beforehand when top balls have this defense doing against Marshawn Lynch of the world and yeah absolutely and look Seattle's good down in the red zone and they just slam the door on that run game then they they expect the bootleg call the right defense and it all sets up a field goal opportunity a little bit of a high snap house two shanks it in Arizona in business house could have paid 22 straight including one earlier it's only hit the block earlier in Indianapolis and then that or we would be tied but with 27 seconds to go here in the third quarter these fans aren't used to their Seahawks having just three points but we have a ways to go play and it's a big part of me that thinks russell wilson whether you start calling some design runs getting him outside the pocket the belief in this team russell wilson's going to get a finger jay Feely driving it Divakar goes around the recovery by justin battle came out of the hands of turbulent I don't think anybody even hit him I think it just came out remember tournament in the first half lost the football and it was reviewed within two minutes of given back to Seattle this time the Cardinals have it remember how Lucy was carrying away from his body the first time he's doing it again that ball is not high in tight tuck to his body I don't care how much space she have around him playing his muscle as soon as he cut those arms a pig as soon as he cut went back the other way because he was carrying the ball so weight was so far away from his body inches pop loose that's the first turnover in this game for the Seahawks and in this spot on the field with as good as to see for the Arizona cartons defenses plan had a straw from the 18-yard line of the Seahawks Carson Palmer with time throws and completes and there's a flag down [Music] [Applause] it's no foul on the coin second down alright flag picked up each team with six penalties and the third quarter winding down Arizona will let the clock run out on second and 7 from the 15-yard line the Cardinals have the lead in Seattle in Arizona is try to get more as we head to the fourth quarter [Music] high drama in high definition here in Seattle from the 15-yard line after the turnover the Cardinals have the lead and have a chance to get more as we begin the fourth quarter it's a survival game they do win to stay alive in the playoffs and think about everything on the line for Seattle they're already in the playoffs but the Seahawks want to nail down the number one seed mendenhall no we're not back to the 20-yard line it'll bring up third and long and Michael Bennett made the plug would a year Michael Bennett has had for these Seattle Seahawks and you're gonna see him flash right into your screen from the left side I mean he's such a good pass rusher number one and they needed that element on their defense a real presence inside as a rusher but he's an equally good run defender free agent acquisition for them on the air defensively for Seattle Jim Cooper they spotted it at the 17 the initial contact so it makes it third down and nine Britain golden section peanut the big 63 Arquette for Arizona bummer floating one in the end zone Richard Sherman his second interception of the game it was the last thing the Cardinals wanted already in field goal range to turn it over again the pressure I'm not just talking about Michael Bennett free agent MVP acquisition cliff April right there with them there's April coming off the edge nobody blocks cliff April I mean that is a busted protection on that area of the field that's too big interceptions what Carson Palmer has not seen the free defender running right out of today's game is sponsored by Universal Pictures new film lone survivor in theaters January 10 [Applause] Russell Wilson's pass incomplete trying to get it to Baldwin powers covering its second intent from the 20 Carson Palmer shouldn't uh should flow to that ball that's his fourth interception of this game and it equals his career worst several things break down here Bruce Irvin jumps inside send a line does not change the protection which makes Cliff April a free runner and then Carson Palmer just floats it up in the air under pressure always bad from start to finish Russell Wilson is going to go down sack by coleus Campbell his second of the game and that gives him eight for the season and that's Seattle interception to net five last week against the Giants are they at four today they came and leading the NFL with 22 picks and now 26 overall ok one thing though about Carson Palmer and there's been some awful decisions to serve up some of those interceptions and good plays by Seattle Carson Palmer's been on long enough for his he just throwing keep throwing the ball until he gets it right but you got to know the situation you're up three in field-goal range and now your defense is on the spot again what can restoration do on third down he's trying to get rid of it and the defense of the Cardinals comes through again Javier Arenas using some of that speed to chase Russell Wilson down what a great plan for Arizona defensively because they're going to send the pressure and Todd Bowles dials it up there he is the defensive coordinator so they're gonna send these guys but watch Carlos Dansby as he peels out and then he becomes the secondary contained guy okay great once Russell Wilson breaks loose and he gets flushed out of the pocket danby right in his face and then they're able to catch him from behind great plan fair catch called for Peterson just on the other side of midfield in Cargill territory they'll have decent field position but I'm sure Bruce Arians is telling his veteran quarterback we have a lead let's protect it Callay is Campbell with two of the three cardinal sex today offense to a total of 138 yard and just a field goal mendenhall carries and even with the extra line with Bobby Massey in the Seattle defense digs him here comes a flak late well after the play [Applause] looks like they're trying to consult with Tony McDaniel is here so now unnecessary roughness no 99 penalty's have been an issue for Pete Carroll's team well it was way after the play in the whistle and everyone standing around the scrub and then it's scrum and then he comes and just pushes Eric Winston right in the chest and Richard Sherman knows it right there right look well a 15-yard penalty after a one-yard run so it's hard enough for us nope no free beats let's go at the 37 yard line of Seattle that's Michael Floyd in motion he's yet to catch a pass to the Babur deep receiver Fitzgerald here come the flags Sherman and Earl Thomas right in his face and Fitzgerald goes down tumbling on the ground looked like two Lords a-leaping [Applause] an appearance he prints number 25 [Applause] there's a matchup to the outside Sherman's got help behind him and his Fitzgerald tries to break it off to the right way that's a tough ball on Richard Sherman because he's got his eyes back to the quarterback that really looked like inadvertent angling to the feet or incidental contact that's a tough one on Sherman that led up in one you couldn't let go major penalties here just killing the Seahawks that worth 21 yards and the cargos are set up at the 16 [Applause] and the plane ticket back to the line of scrimmage Malcolm Smith made the tackle he had an interception earlier in the game Seahawks coming out of there with it as Michael Bennett but the ruling on the field was down the Richard Sherman is freaking out health care on the field he wants a challenge he pretty smart guy Stanford guy plays with a chip on his shoulder party has two interceptions in this game [Applause] there's the challenge mark Pete Carril thought of as a player's coach is going to listen to his players when Richard Sherman still working with the official over there [Applause] Seattle is challenging the previous play now Pete Carroll this year is seven out of nine on replay challenges this season in his career over 50% 19 correct out of 36 in this big if it's a change in possession now if it was ruled a fumble that would be automatically reviewed her address on a turnover correct well he was ruled down all right let's see it here there's Mendenhall coming through the line of scrimmage the ball comes out there by michael bennett who takes it away but hard to see at the left leg or something was already down here for Mendenhall here's a better look at it nothin down nothin down now the level forearm is down I don't know when we've all came out hard to see from that angle if in fact Bennett had pulled it out at that point boy that's really tight and not being called the fumble on the field I don't know if there's enough to overturn it [Music] she really couldn't see though from that angle you can see the ball coming loose but you couldn't see if the left arm was down well they're showing it here and it's a great thing that the NFL these reviews in the home stadium so the fans can see what is being reviewed but sky green there has to be enough to overturn it [Music] Mike Ferrara our rules analyst watching all the games back in the box headquarters checking to see what we see so that we get it just did not look like from those angles that we had that you could see if that left arm was down on the ground before the ball starts to come loose look for the left fully on the balls coming out there but you can't see from that angle if the left forearm was down or not and then from the reverse angle you can see that the forearm is down but you can't see that the balls coming out [Applause] after reviewing this by the ruling on the field stands [Applause] Richard Sherman can't pollute and neither can the fans here who saw the review of Mike Pereira your view well I mean I kind of agree with leaving it on the field because what you have to try to do is piece two shots together of this this one would seem to me it might be out but yet you can't see the forearm but then when you have the shot from behind you can actually see the forearm go down but it's hard to see when the ball comes in so I think without one clear shot I don't see how he could do anything else thank you Mike Ferrara now second down ten Seahawks lose a timeout they have two remaining Ellington carries where it'll be third down each team with two timeouts and when you're the Cardinals I mean your playoff hopes are hanging in the balance here with a review of a play that was ruled one way and as Mike Pereira said on replay it has to be clear that you tried the evidence to overturn it and it was not there in the eyes of the officials whether the Seahawk and sticks or not from the 12 yard line of Seattle now third and six four wide receivers for Carson Palmer Stefan Taylor the back he gets the caring tailor fighting hard but doesn't get the first down a conservative call from Bruce Arians from the Cardinal offense and and they were able to get the defensive line to take the bait a little bit so they had a little bit of a crease but because Seattle's playing so tight with their secondary in front of the first down sticks cam Chauncey you're not really getting away from that guy too often he came up and rocks to Vaughn Taylor and because Carson Palmer has four interceptions Seattle water risking try to get a six point lead 26 yards and the Cardinals expand their league Chaffey Lee is three for three today a tremendous defense it's a defensive effort from both the Cardinals and the Seahawks today's game is sponsored by frost brewed Coors Light the game's most refreshing beer [Music] new kickoff returner turban had fumbled the last time that's Doug Baldwin taking feeley's kick and Baldwin spray that's the play just short of the 40 of Seattle a terrific return Alfonso Smith may have saved a touchdown [Applause] here comes Russell Wilson after that great field position on the return of 37-yard Baldwin has always been a good returner but as his role has grown in the offense his returns have gone down certainly the right fall to get him out there for turban who's put it on the ground twice and Doug Baldwin almost makes a six-point house call if Alfonso Smith isn't there to take him down Bob wood has just one catch today the same for Golden Tate the top two receivers on this team I'm the 39-yard line Marshawn Lynch Patrick Peterson and he gets some help frosty Rucker ends up bringing him down Jed Hale what do you have for us the priestess moments ago a frustrated see Hobbs Ottomans cuddled up to try to address their inefficiencies that meeting led by Russell Kuhn and Russell Wilson a delivering a fiery speech telling this offense to stop accepting mediocrity Russell wasn't bothering as regards of confidence Chris Welch and Russell Wilson has nine fourth-quarter comebacks of his career season he's a handful this year [Applause] the balls out Golden Tate cottage Jermaine Kearse recovered the fumble and Patrick Peterson had his head turned looking at the official or something else and was in no position to challenge Doug Baldwin to go get this football look so there's the pop out bang right there by Jerrod powers that purse is in great position to get it but Patrick Peterson standing there with his back turned watch Patrick Peterson right here he's looking up at the jumbotron so that ball comes out bang now get a good bounce right to curse for Peterson still got his back turned to it the Seahawks are lucky and good after a 36-yard game the catch was 29 and then more yards on the fumble and already in field goal range excellent point about Patrick Peterson at the Seahawks at excellent position here trailing by six second down seven from the 18 of Arizona tell you what she has been a lot of these tight spots and tight situations and they usually come out on top Russell Wilson comfortable of these stocks side to side that curse that is was missing at Jevon Kearse he's going to run the in cutting route there he is on Jason one on one this ball is high and it is hot and cursed is able to hold on to it and get it down for the first down in great position the 13 yard gain first and goal from five we have an injured player it's John Abraham of the Cardinals being tempted to back at the 30 yard line and the Seahawks set up nicely curses a guy and the Seahawk fans know Husky fans know the free agent from Lakewood Washington just like Doc Baldwin receivers that emerged after the injury to Sidney Rice Percy Harvin's inconsistency with his injury and Russel Wilson has connected [Applause] now remember right before the half three tries trying to get in the Seahawks could not against this Cardinal defense they settled for a field goal try that was missed by hi skip right you got you got you know three downs and certainly a fourth he decided to go for down and Russell Wilson to the outside in the one-pass options what they gotta do Russell Wilson won't go no drone down for a loss by Darryl Washington and that's a big reason why fourth sack of the game for Arizona using that speed Todd Bowles défis Darryl Washington DC him right near face 58 he is unblocked Russell Wilson's got no chance and I'm telling him they've got Darryl bevels got closer plays by design to get Russell Wilson outside the pocket with a quick read second and goal from the over Merson simple pocket [Music] sack Miller from Phoenix Arizona from Arizona State [Applause] couple things on this touchdown number one the time Russell Wilson had to throw from the pocket really allowed them to do it number two Arizona gets no hands on Zach Miller lining up at the end man on the line of scrimmage it's in the fact that the answer but now you were chatting the most important point to the moment is no good there's a flag down illegal formation on the defense [Applause] and maybe that's what caused the extra point not to be good unbelievable well you can't line up over the center and here it is right there with the linebacker Darrell Washington and Goku what wait I didn't see that it's an unusual is it ever gives the Seahawks the lead we will get clarification because that was a big extra point but Russell Wilson delivers in the clutch to Zack Miller Zack Miller with the touchdown and we will go over the penalty that negated the missed extra point with our rules analyst Mike Pereira in just a moment a huge extra point that has Seattle on top with 726 to plunders Javier Arenas back to return house cos kick [Applause] a thousand Mike Pereira help us out here is we'll take a look from the kicker's point of view on this extra point yeah the rule states here that a defensive player who comes up to the line of scrimmage cannot line up over the center he has to be completely outside of the shoulder of the center completely outside his entire body and to me this is the second one of these that we've had today technically when he came to the line of scrimmage and got down in his stance he was actually over the Centers for the victory I think it's pretty technical but that is an actual stay with see where this bike because I want to ask his cover on first down sets to throw goes underneath to his tight ends ray stop short of the first down so Mike any part of the body because it looked like he was lined up off the center and not over the center yeah here it's it's your body if you're the defensive player your whole body has to be lined up outside the edge of the shoulder of the center and I think that I think it was very close the idea was that you wouldn't just blow over the center which they really didn't here we would like to think you wouldn't get too technical on yeah I agree in terms of Paul technically maybe right ellington no game it'll be third down and thank you Mike for era for clarify what maybe the Cardinal season or at least the chance when you think about that extra point on a technicality [Applause] I just felt the boots shake here moments ago it's third down for Arizona from the 27 yard line here comes a flat we have a time out flag throwing at the piano this is their second charge time so the flag will be picked up at the 43 instead it's a time out Pete Carril water at Seattle will have one left well thank goodness Mike Ferrara helped to clarify because we were shaking our heads there are so many different rules to keep an eye on at an extra point you think it's so automatic but let's talk about the Seahawk position defensively and what the Cardinals are up against now trailing in this game well the Cardinals have been a tough road to hoe for them most of the game today no question I'll say it like I said it at the start of the game thirty-eight Andre Ellington has gotten to get the football in this situation in this game I mean you look at Arizona they've been able to handle the time of possession for the most you would think that see heartbeat but start to wear down a little bit I think it's everything here in the last six [Applause] and here's always been right here on third and three Palmer has time he can't run he throws it at it Scott Jake Ballard gets a fuss now the one time giant who has a Super Bowl ring in fact before this season that was the last game he played it Carson Palmer is running for his life and he looks out and what does he see is blocking tight end and just tosses it up and Ballard comes down with it unbelievable Carson Palmer with 22 career fourth-quarter comeback wins against the Tennessee Titans in overtime Ellingson extra yardage knocked down at the 49 yard line let's go game break Jack gave the Curt Menefee long Detroit leading the win to stay alive in the playoff race up by a touchdown five minutes left and guess what Matthew Stafford picked off by the Giants will help it's it's tied the game at 20 apiece Grissom Tim that Stafford's 12th interception in the last six games and we know they've lost four or five coming in the thanks Curt and Carson Palmer has suffered four interceptions here today we have Jeremy Lane who came in with a bruised ankle from last week and slow to get up for Seattle [Applause] I think it's paramount Arizona moves the chains have some success running the football to up that clock obviously a field goal to get in position they'd love a touchdown but a field goal puts them up a couple of poi Seattle only one timeout left Chris Arizona would love to chew on this pot and if you're the car does you want to keep that time of possession advantage and you know I want to give the ball back to Seattle if you can help it Stefon Taylor is in from the fort of Arizona on 2nd and 5 Palmer underneath and incomplete in the area Fitzgerald but an awkward looking boy when the pressure is gotten to Carson Palmer today and it hasn't showed up with a huge sack number when you look at the sacks and they've got him four times it was seven in the opener but Carson Palmer at that time heellenshow shop we have no pressure around folks in the release will five wide receivers for Palmer who throws complate Britain golden was smothered there is a flag it took a while [Applause] let's watch it right here Malcolm Smith and there's the hole there's the grab he's still got a hold of him he fence you know it was Malcolm Smith it was be on fire the arts when he grabbed him anyway but the ball was not up in the area and that's why he was not pass interference looked like he had let go Malcolm Smith did as soon as that ball left the hand of Carson Palmer that's why it ends up being a whole ninth penalty for the Seahawks giving up over under penalty arts so forty-four they're going to spot the ball correctly back beyond the 45 the in fact the the center Lisle satellite of the officials had to sort that out to be right there thank you two timeouts for Arizona one for Seattle just over five minutes to play keep letting that ball [Applause] mendenhall gets inside the 45 before Bobby Wagner who leads the team in tackles just narrowly over Earl Thomas shoves him back fili is three for three today will they get a chance for another field goal he's made some 3946 and 26 and that red line would be where he the Cardinals would need to get for jay Feely to attempt his season long [Applause] plumber hands off to Ellington after a delay Alex and dad inside the 35 yard line of Seattle where it is a first down for the Cardinals a creative bluff very creative and watch they get cliff a roll up field and then hand it off inside of them Ellington able to slam them for some big yards and pick up the first down and get him certainly real close to that field goal position and again chew on that clock [Applause] just manera adjustments throughout the game and Bruce Arians make Mendon whether running we're saying it could happen here or Palmer throw an interception that he's done that four times and more interceptions than Saks today [Applause] Bobby Massey extra lineman comes in for the car goes right over three minutes to play [Applause] Rashard Mendenhall somehow worked his way into that pile where it will bring a third down right now you're looking in the range of a 48-yard field goal jay Feely has 11 career winning field goals for jay Feely - he wouldn't [Applause] the potato loves to blitz here whatever coming Palmer going deep down the sideline and the catch touchdown Cardinals Michael Floyd [Applause] flourish first caption of the game could be the Cardinals knockout Akash and the best throw Carson Palmer has made all day Bar None Maxwell was in pretty good coverage all-out blitz one on one to the outside Carson Palmer knows it he tosses it up and Michael Floyd somehow comes down with it it goes by the arm a Byron Maxwell puts his right arm up there Michael Floyd stays with it that is super fifth touchdown catch of the season and they're going for two the Cardinals line up they have not converted on a two-point conversion and of course all scoring plays reviewed upstairs so that's going to give Seattle time to adjust on the two-point conversion no attempt yeah and let's see here if anything can alert them to this will not be confirmed the ball never touches the ground he's clearly down in bounds it looked to me like the legs were down had secured possession of the ball before anything went out of bounds let's see here so the legs down the hips down everything's in bounds that's the secure catch that's a touchdown you know Maxwell last week had a couple of interceptions Tim in fact the Giants were unable to really complete a pass he didn't allow a catch in his area look that's just that's Michael Floyd making a great play Maxwell is in good position he's going to take a couple swats out at one right there he'll take another right there but Mike before he's able to stay with it and capture it with those big hands for the big touchdown all scoring plays reviewed this is a big review from Scott green after hearing the play the ruling on the field has confirm touchdown Cardinals have the lead by five they're trying to expand it to seven and on two-point conversions this season Arizona is over 3 but stunned here in Seattle [Applause] just over two minutes left one timeout for the Seahawks [Applause] mendenhall for two and he has it it's now a seven-point cardinally their first two-point conversion of the year when we said it earlier in the game that's where the biggest contribution all year long has been Rashard Mendenhall down near the goal line as a runner and he's just gonna run this one right up the gut good job by Faneca the offensive guard steps right and then steps down and seals the linebacker and opens it up carson palmer surviving four interceptions to equal a career worse for the veteran on a third down play flips a 31-yard touchdown pass and then hands to Mendenhall to give Arizona in Seattle a 7 point lead member the last loss at home for the Seahawks was December 24 2011 when the 49ers won here 19 to 17 and I told you Carson Palmer and and all the the battles he's been through throughout his long career the four interceptions he just gonna keep throwing it and he made his best throw of the day the touchdown right there to Floyd but Russell Wilson has been a comeback King in his brief career has never lost at home in his professional career that going back to college he had lost 20 at home at NC State in Wisconsin as Doug Baldwin takes the short kick from the six yard line last time he dashed into Arizona Territory he's got room over here and gets up near the 29 yard line tonight at 11 head over to America's new 24-hour Sports Network it's Fox Sports one Jay and Dan we'll have all the highlights sports news latest on the NFL playoff picture it's Fox Sports live tonight at 11:00 on America's new 24-hour Sports Network Fox Sports 1 could this be the world well where you put it into perspective in terms of how hard it's been for opponents to win up here and the way this game is gone and for interceptions and then toss in that against the number one defense and the Cardinals know they need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive how swim they may be on first down mentioned fire open but a little bit short tipped around and that's a pic incomplete for Baldwin the Cardinals reporting as if it is and the officials no ruling yet from them did the ball hit the ground it looks like he came off the hands of Doug Baldwin along the deflection marks are long he came up with the pick we'll take a closer look you got to watch the ball here as Doug Baldwin goes down yeah that's did that hit this ground or did that hit his arm but I think it hit the ground we got to take a closer look at that yeah well they have high definition you could stop it freeze it it definitely looks away the ball bounced as well it was Michael Ferrara's told us before Tim you you do look at the way the ball bounces he is intercepted [Applause] while the ruling on the field as you just heard is an interception and like we saw earlier with the other fumble is there enough visual evidence to overturn it it sure looked like just the way the ball came up that it hit the ground but you can't really tell [Applause] and it's automatically reviewed Tim since they're going to rule it an interception the officials will take a look at this so Scott Green will go under the hood ruled an interception did it hit the ground can't clearly tell clearly seeing right and right at the two-minute warning which is a very good because that falls over the review upstairs the Cardinals have the lead but do they have the football we have two minutes left in Co [Applause] well unbelievably Scot green said that the the ruling it looked like us like the field turning him tompa didn't disappear on this ball hit the ground I think he's wrong and I think that's the visual evidence right there with that rubber now I guess in Scotts mind you can think maybe the elbow caused the rubber but no way as soon as that ball hits right there watch the black rubber splash up off the field turf to me that's the identifier that it hit the ground and they had time to slow it down you see that ground-up rubber in this artificial turf that officials as Mike Pereira has explained to us before they use to help identify and after further review dansbeek comes up with the interception it's not his fault and more on Dansby who this year felt like he should have had more interceptions one believe of were you with receivers after practice catching footballs on the jug machine 100 a day so that he would have good hands and he had them on that deflection straight ahead go Stefan a tailor for a first down let's bring in Mike Pereira and get your thoughts on that ruling Mike hey I'm kind of like Tim and both of you I think it hit the ground I'm never one that really argues too much when they choose not to reverse something that there's any question at all but watch here does it do you actually see the tip of the ball on the ground I think it's on the ground Tim but I kind of I kind of can't be totally 100% sure and I'm sure that's why Scott probably chose to to stay with the ruling of the field how about the rubber splashing up Mike I guess in his mind he could think maybe elbow can't yeah or or maybe was it the glove that brought up the rubber I can't wait I mean I keep we're still in the command center looking at every angle here trying to get the clearest of you wouldn't want them when they're that close here you here you go here I can see it there where did the rock see you can't see it there I just it needs to be so indisputable and I'm okay I think with him not well Mike I don't think Seattle's okay with it thank you very much what's not indisputable is that Dansby has his fourth interception of the season he should be going to his first Pro Bowl the Cardinals have now won seven of their last eight as Seattle used its last timeout and running the clock out the last time the Cardinals won here in Seattle was in October of 2009 and the Seahawks perfect record at home and perfect with Russell Wilson watching the clock tick away and give so much credit to the Arizona defense and what they were able to do to Russell Wilson today and contain it him and keeping him in the pocket it was remarkable Seattle will be at home next Sunday against the st. Louis Rams you know how tough that game was with the Rams earlier this year and the number one seed still in their grasp in the NFC West and the handshakes for Bruce Arians and staff because they'll be at home against the 49ers who play Atlanta on Monday night and with Carolina's win still a slim chance for the Cardinals who have a ten win season in Bruce Arians first year and top Bulls defense certainly did its job today to get Carson Palmer out of the hole and the Cardinal defense remember last year that 58 nothing drumming up here they were aggravated when Marshawn Lynch had three touchdowns looks like they were enjoying skittles over on the Seattle sideline I would a great win for the Arizona Cardinals have matchup in the AFC West Seattle Falls to 12 and three but still next week and wrap things up at home with that top speed top seed and get help if they before that time we'll watch the 49er game on Monday nights we'll have more here from Seattle where the Cardinals pull off a shocker 1710
