there is a lot of insects in the world about 10 quintillion yes that is a number and it's a pretty damn big one and this means they are pretty much constantly running into each other and competing for space in fact sometimes it seems like all they ever do is fight each other in some kind of endless murderous dance some species have developed incredible and terrifying abilities which assist them in fighting and killing other insects we're going to include arachnids here too because it's not likely they're holding back so from the ultravenomous spider against the giant centipede to the incredible leafcutter ant versus a sneaky arachnid here's the 15 craziest fights in the insect kingdom number 15 centipede vs giant spider the giant centipede species known as scalapendra can grow to up to 30 centimeters in length and is a seriously tough critter apart from its huge size it has two modified legs with which it can bite delivering a nasty venom as it does and although it's not the most insect that makes the mistake of entering their territory is in for a nasty surprise however the 300 million year old tree scorpion is not just any old insect it's a super-powered arachnid that has topics ago the mantis certainly seems to have the size advantage here and the two seem to be sizing each other up at least the mantises looking composed and confident while the centipede seems a little panicked in the corner the mantis moves in ominously in its usual slow stalking style riles up and then strikes hard and fast looks like a no contest again here only the centipede wrestles hard and strikes back with its powerful and venomous bite he looks pained by the mantis grip but the mantis backs off the centipede seems to say i told you not to fight me bro now it's the mantis's turn to run or at least try to this one ends in a stalemate but for once the mantis has met his match number three black widow vs wolf spider here we have a major contest between two of the most badass arachnids in the world the famous black widow and the massive wolf spider this is pure venom against pure power the black widow was one of the most feared spiders of all probably wouldn't take long for a [ __ ] and it is easily recognizable by the orange or yellow shaped markings on its back which seems to resemble an hourglass an hourglass that starts running once you've been bitten by one counting the time you have left to live wolf spiders are huge and black or brown with stripes and other markings they hunt in a way that resembles wolves running and tracking prey which can include small animals truly a nightmare creature however in this battle wolfy seems not to have much energy for the fight the black widow however is very scrappy and has the upper hand from the outset the jabs reign in but then the black widow seems to have delivered her message and they almost fall into a kind of embrace perhaps a truce is being brokered but things don't go well it seems as suddenly the black widow is going crazy again wolf spider makes half an attempt to fight back with a huge leg but those bites have taken their toll black widow holds on again looks cute but probably just sucking out the wolf spider's brain before long the black widow makes a run for it and victory is hers number 2. black widow vs huntsman the black widow is back again this time with a new challenge the huntsman spider huntsman spiders are also huge and famous for their giant leg spans which resemble that of a tarantula they live off a mainly insect diet as well as eating other spiders but could a huntsman make a meal out of a black widow they certainly know how to hunt and chase hence the name and they are some of the fastest running spiders not needing to bother with webs or traps they just chase and kill like the terrifying nightmare creatures they are supposed to be once they have their prey they inject it with powerful venom so this time the black widow will have to watch out for a taste of its own medicine things look evenly matched to begin with and a tangle begins bites are exchanged and a lot of legs are going crazy however it seems the black widow has once again been the more aggressive fighter and the huntsman is reacting to a bite seeming woozy and then going inert the venom is setting to work he rallies for another round but the widow is untroubled things definitely look bad for the huntsman when some weird goo starts coming out of it that's never good victory for the black widow number one huntsman vs cockroach in what seems like a kind of mismatch our loser from the previous topic now gets to take on a cockroach is this just a tune-up fight to get the huntsman back in the game after being brutally beaten by the black widow or is it possible
