Get rid of slaves, replaced them with new age slaves (Wrongfully imprisoned inmates).
Just watched this last night. It's hard to watch, but still important to understand the history of racism and slavery in this country.

The 6 or 7 part documentary from pbs called "african american many rivers to cross" is on amazon prime. This doc should be required viewing for every person in america.
Netflix is pushing this doc hard. It was at the bottom of MY LIST (since I added it a year ago, just never watched it) When I went on 3 days ago, it was at the top of my list.
Watched this in my 11th grade class just 3 years ago. Now Iβm 20. Such a powerful documentary everyone should watch this.
Itβs a must watch. Period.
This is going to be painful to watch but it is necessary.
