107 facts about amphibia with an overwhelming amount of requests after the one of seven facts you should know about the owl house we decided that gathering facts about amphibia was a good idea after all with its similar popularity how could we pass up an opportunity to take a deep dive into an interesting show be warned though spoilers ahead for the first two seasons so without further ado i'm adrian and these are 107 facts you should know about amphibia number one the wood carving at the start of every episode isn't an animated element but a real photographed wood carving with the title superimposed on it number two matt brownlee similar to dana terrace started his career at disney working on gravity falls even though he had already worked at dreamworks and shorts hd prior number three in fact bradley won an annie award for the episode of gravity falls that he directed number four brenda song who voices anne boone choi has spent a lot of her youth working at disney but then took an almost decade long break from the company until taking up this role similar to how i haven't voiced the frederator video in almost a year or two number five and rather fitting and is of thai american descent just like song herself number six in fact and is the first lead ever in an animated show to be of thai descent number seven something that can even be seen in the show's intro is that anne's weapon of choice is frequently a tennis racket this is likely because she used to be in her high school's tennis varsity number eight anne is also quite skilled at cooking and chopping food number 38 let's move on to hop-hop for a little bit despite the fact that he farms and processes food for a living most infamously the pain peppers nobody really thinks that hop hop is a very good cook number 39 his full name is actually hopadaya plantar the suffix aya is fairly common among farmers in the midwestern united states making this a good fit for his profession number 40 his spats bear more than a passing resemblance to those worn by scrooge mcduck though that might just be a reference to his age in the real world these began to fall out of fashion in the 1920s number 41 though that would be a bit of a stretch because in the episode's stakeout he reveals to anne that he's 68 number 42 all right enough about the main characters for now let's focus on the show again originally it was supposed to be called amphiboland which can be seen in the pilot that only aired online this was changed for legal reasons number 43 the script for that pilot was later reworked into the second part of the first episode best friends number 44 a lot of episode titles are plays on words either with common sayings or other pieces of media grubhog day is a reference to groundhog day the event produced in the production code for the first episode is actually 103 whereas the second episode gets 101. number 50 season 2 stuck a lot closer to the order they were made to be the order they were
