greetings mother factors my name is Sam and I am your density sorry I mean destiny I'm here to whisk you off in a DeLorean a car everyone the surprise of realize exists outside of this franchise and take you so far back in time that 2015 seems like the distant future an era when bad guys always stood in perfect formation to be bowled over in unison by a single push and the most popular drink with something called hep sorry yes it's back to the future but why is a 17 year old hanging around the 71 year old why did the production have to pay California Raisins $5000 and why does this kid point at its own crotch at the end of the third film 23 those questions are going to be answered and the third will haunt you forever so unless you're too chicken let's make like a tree and go through 1001 facts about back to the future number 1 Back to the Future is the first film when one of the best trilogies of all time pun intended dispute yet that past stuff written by Bob Gale and co-written and directed by Robert Zemeckis it opened in North America on July the 3rd 1985 proceeded to stay at the box office for 11 weeks number 2 Bob Gale claims his inspiration for the film came from finding his father's high school yearbook and wondering whether they would have been friends kind of weird yes but at least he didn't discover his mother's yearbook and wonder if he could have pulled her and it's what this film is sort of about anyway number three the script of the movies at the University of Southern California film school went on to use as a model of the perfect screenplay would first have to be rejected 40 times before Universal finally bought it most of these rejections were simply because it wasn't great enough to compete with other team movies at the time while Disney rejected the script for being a movie about well something that rhymes with ingest which feels if I'm honest like an oversimplification on their part number for the film's opening title was play over a montage of all Doc Brown clocks inane doff of the cap to 1962 Time Machine would you film buffs out there we'll know it's about time travel hmm one of the clocks even features a man hanging off the minute hand just to stop brown dust at the end of the movie which is kind of like a callback to the future that does work yeah number 5 both this clock and these stunts itself of references to the 1923 silent film safety last starring silent era legend Harold Lloyd who unfortunately Google importantly it's no relation to or time-traveling version of DOC actor Christopher Lloyd number six the late great said Sheinberg former head of Universal Studios is responsible for the completely forgettable professor Browne changing to go iconic Doc Brown and renaming Marty's mum from Meg to Lorraine which isn't quite as iconic but he did it for his wife Lorraine Gary which is quite sweet really number seventeen Sheinberg was also the reason that for better or worse Doc's pets were dogs named Copernicus and Einstein instead of a chimpanzee named Shemp his thinking was that based on his own research no movie with the chimpanzee ever made money at which point Bob Gale countered that with every which way but loose which features a chimp Sheinberg of course ten five back that was in fact an orangutan which you can only imagine it was the greatest production meeting of all time number eight however not every idea can be gold it was also a Sheinberg he decided that no one would watch a movie with deep chet in the title and cent producer steven spielberg a memo suggesting the name be changed to spaceman from Pluto somehow Spielberg wasn't keen on using this super cool title the Bears completely no relevance to the film's plots so he replied thanking Sheinberg fresh joke saying the entire crew got a kick out of it and chime burg was too embarrassed to push on with that name change number nine under early draft of the script saw the movie's conclusion take place at a nuclear test site in Nevada where an atomic blast provided the power to jump back to 1985 however the budget was ultimately too low when this was switched out from now iconic lightning strike at the clock tower instead number 10 in another one of many early script drafts the time machine wasn't a DeLorean but a considerably less merchandise worthy refrigerator however this idea was dropped for fear that children would imitate the film by locking themselves in fridges and suffocating which in their defense is types the kind of thing I would have done but fear not producer Steven Spielberg did eventually get to recycle the fridge a new nuclear test light stick in another iconic trilogies terrible fourth installment yeah went well number 11 The Time Machine was eventually redrafted as a chamber that would be trailed around a pickup truck until Robert Zemeckis thought to build it into a car and make it mobile but what car they set it under DeLorean for a number of reasons its wing doors make it more plausible than the 1950s farmer would forsake it for spaceship but it was also funny because even four years after it went into production the DeLorean already looked dated universals product placement team didn't get the gag though and brought Bob Gale a $75,000 deal to use a Ford Mustang instead Gale was famous response Doc Brown doesn't drive a Mustang number 12 the use of the DeLorean was also tire like Doc status as a social pariah the clunky vehicle had become somewhat of an outlaw following the cars halted production after the DMC founders 1982 arrest for 24 million dollar cocaine deal but DeLorean loved the film's use of his car so much that he wrote Bob Gale a letter thanking him for keeping his dream alive the car dream not cocaine one number 13 of all the people who were clamoring to be back in the 40 times rejected chimp and fridge film a young Johnny Depp was Edition for the role of Marty Bob Gale only remember this when he was looking through his notes claiming whatever he did it wasn't all that memorable I guess although to be fair Gale was just thirty years ahead of the rest of the world and forgetting about Johnny Depp number forty before Michael J Fox ever uttered that famous voice cooking I'm late for school this sounds nothing about that visit did I was even doing the roll went to one Eric Stoltz best known for kick-starting an overdose Duma Thurman and port thickened magnet the future was set to stick the proverbial adrenaline needle into the heart of his career but he brought too much brooding gravity to the comedic role and was fine after about six weeks six weeks and four million dollars in production spending number fifteen however based on stories from the sets four million dollars was a small price to pay to get rid of Stoltz who insisted on method acting may be a good idea for taxi driver not so much a good idea for a film about a time traveling car starts would not change out of the costume and insisted the crew called him Marty when told he'd been axed Christopher Lloyd reportedly replied who was Eric because he'd been so in character only breaking to flirt with his on-camera mother Lea Thompson glad to hear we didn't draw the method acting line at crossing family boundaries number 16 although a second to be cast Fox was actually the actor that filmmakers had wanted all along but he was committed to his role in family ties however his role was changed when his co-star Meredith Baxter gave birth to twins and Universal pounced on Fox not the twins number seventeen mjf did still have to shoot family ties though meaning for nine weeks of shooting he spent his days rehearsing the show at Paramount before a driver took him to a night shoot for Back to the Future where he filmed until another driver took him home for a few hours sleep before a third driver with key to his home would come in make him coffee and take him to parents again where he had to pretend to be a functional human which I find hard enough in a normal amount of sleep number 18 however one shot about Stoltz did survive the Fox application process in one of the 50s diner scenes a shot of Marty punching Biff was kept in the final cut featuring stalks his hand arm and even some of his face for a few frames and I have to say the method acting worked because that's the best acted punch I've ever seen number 19 the role of Doc almost went to John Lithgow who's probably done more things than the voice of Lord Farquaad and Shrek but honestly who cares about those number 20 when the role folds Christopher law and he was hesitant about taking it because it meant turning down an off-broadway play weirdly his wife thought of the job that paid well and would be seen by people was a better option and persuaded him to take it number 21 my performance in the role was influenced by two main sources Albert Einstein and the conductor he opposed to Co scheme except the bits where he was honking all the time that was influenced by the fact they couldn't fit the six-foot-one injector in the same frame as the adorable 5 foot 4 inch Michael J Fox that's why doc is so often framed standing far in the background behind Marty otherwise his face literally would not fit in number 22 oh when Marty first sees the DeLorean in action he and dr. at the Twin Pines mall but when Marty arrives in 1955 he crashes straight into a tree which turns out to be one of sad Pines so when Marty returns to the mall at the end of the film it's named Lone Pine mall get it because the other one was knocked down by him cool Easter Egg yes but I would have gone from mall built with that time-traveling UFO crashed into a tree number 23 when Doc hears that Ronald Reagan is president in 1985 he Shops at the former actor made his way to the White House old Ron didn't seem to mind though he loved the film especially that scene which Reagan found so funny he had to get the projectionists to rewind it he even quoted the film in his 1986 State of the Union address stating roads where we're going we don't need roads which doesn't really make sense it's a political stance because infrastructure that's important boy number 24 when Marty dresses as Darth Vader to scare his father in 1955 it's always been a bit strange that the cassette he plays is edward van halen rather than the band name van halen a cassette by the way being a CD in box form to our younger viewers and a CD being spotify and disc but very limited Tamar even younger viewers this changes because the banter neither produces permission to use their music but Eddy himself agreed to perform some flick at our lips a secret to Yan yet revealed in 2012 27 years later or 57 years to mentor which when you look at it number 25 the homeless gentleman on the bench when Marty returns to 1985 is referred to as red suggesting that he is in fact 1955 zone mare red Thomas however Bob Gale has poo-pooed this theory claiming that Bach symbolized the name on the day and there's no relation so Marty just have to feel too bad about convincing busboys Goldie Wilson to run from there and use her red number 26 back in 1985 Calvin Klein wasn't a household name in Europe so the underwear based mistaken identity gag was missing a certain should a see choir in certain countries like France where his skivvies bore the name of a French Italian designer Pierre Cardin and in places like Spain literally where Marty went by Levi Strauss not all of us can afford those brands though so 1955 me would be known as TK Maxx number 27 versions of the movie the aired on TV after the World Trade Center attack in September 2001 featured certain alterations to the Libyan terrorists subplot when Marty read aloud his warning letter for dark he says you will be shocked instead of you will be shot by terrorists and on the letter itself by terrorists is digitally a raised number 28 when Marty's putting said letter in Doc's pocket the focus is on him but if you watch the background of the scene very carefully you'll actually see doc paying off a police officer who wants to see his permit for the weather experiment equipment this was shown more prominently in a deleted scene before Marty worries to talk about whether having to hit on his own mother might screw him up and make him gay his words so maybe it's best just showing the background so he needed that scene in 1955 where it belongs number 29 anyone who actually seen the film were party of clock that it is in fact not michael j fox singing Johnny be good in the first two films however this was the impression that filmmakers wanted to give you so singer mark Campbell went uncredited to maintain the illusion that was Fox his silky tones we were hearing Campbell did get a mention in these special thanks but special thanks won't get you on Spotify baby number 30 in fact Fox didn't even play guitar in that scene and it wasn't even 1955 they just pretended it was nothing is sacred only what is it in his defense so Fox did take guitar lesson so he convincingly fake the performance and it all became worth it in 2016 when he finally played the song himself alongside Coldplay on they're headed full of dreams tour number 31 it's a friendship of teenager Marcin pensioner doc didn't strike a weird tone in 1985 it certainly had grown to be a weird aspect of the movie set up by 2011 when Bob Gale felt compelled to explain the origin of the duo to Mental Floss he told of nammar seed stuck inside Doc's lab and came fascinated with all the cool stuff inside then when doc caught him the two connected over their respective black sheep statuses and doc gave Marty a part-time job in his lab so there was slightly less weird than you thought it was number 32 after a strict casting process the building selected to portray Hill Valley High was Whittier high which not only put in a great performance I mean look at it go in this scene but was also the alma mater of America's 37th president tricky dick I'm not a crook Nixon who we'll come back to later on in the trilogy number 33 another member of the cast who didn't need to alter his personality too much to fit the role was Crispin Glover playing Marty's chronically bumbling father George McFly does by being his 13th IMDB credit Glover still felt very new to acting and was so nervous that it's on-screen theorists largely genuine in fact he had so much trouble speaking had to read amp up many of his own lines number 34 the role of Biff Tannen was a career-defining term for Thomas and Wilson who's been dogged by so many fans knowing him solely for one role well three if you count Griffin Mad Dog but he started carrying typed out cards for fans attending answers to the questions he's asked the most these answers include things like Michael J Fox is nice Crispin Glover is unusual and the hoverboards didn't really fly he even handily compiled them into a song for a stand-up routine called biffed question song number 35 before their cinematic a legacy became centered around the killing of Jared Leto with an axe Huey Lewis and the news were best known in the film world for the power of love and back in time which they wrote specifically for Back to the Future the power of love are nodes to the comparative power of love in relation to credit cards and trains was nominated for the Best Original Song Oscar in 1985 however it lost out to Lionel Richie say you say me number 36 Huey Lewis and the news is frontman whose name I can't remember actually even had a cameo in the film on the proviso that he would go and credited and disguised so he went for Clark Kent and donned a pair of glass in a comb-over and transformed into the jar to informs Marty that his band's cover of the power of love is just number 37 it's often wrongly claimed that Michael J Fox had to learn to skateboard for the film but having skateboarded through highschool Fox was already a dab hand and did a lot of his own skateboarding they're all dangerous stuff though it was done by stunt double who also luckily knew how to skateboard before the film number 38 the stunt double of Ritchie hired for Eric Stoltz was found by writer Bob Gale when he headed to Venice Beach to recruit a talented skater when he found an appropriate e skilled one he approached him about the role and later discovered he'd been talking to European skateboarding champion perv Ellender Vilander stayed on oughta stop the dismissal and helped choreograph for Fox's double Charlie Crowe well number 39 but as I've learnt myself on this very channel being a global icon isn't all cool literally never been recognized once that's why when the movie had it down under to Australia box was contracted to appearance and promotional spots from poor kids not to imitate Marty when he rides his skateboard behind a car because if there's one thing cooler than skateboarding it's safety number 40 during a 2010 cast reunion Michael J Fox admitted that strangers still shout McFly at Tim with the most ridiculous instance of this being when he traveled in Bhutan where a group of Buddhist monks saw him and shouted Marty McFly even more shockingly this broke a ten-year vow of silence probably number 41 Lea Thompson Christopher Lloyd have appeared in three films together prior to this one making it six films by the end of the trilogy despite this though they have only exchanged two words to each other in their entire cinematic careers in the iconic scene the rain hits dock with a high before he fires back with an O so quotable hi hopefully they were more talkative off-camera the meaning of the lights in December of 2007 Back to the Future was chosen by the Library of Congress as cult tree historically or aesthetically significant selecting it for preservation in the National Film registry eventually to be joined by every film Jennifer Lawrence has been in yes even Dark Phoenix that woman's a treasure number 43 according to B factor Thomas Wilson he coined the insult to Butthead and improvised bifs catchphrase make like a train get out of here rumor has it he also wrote Dark Side of the Moon and single-handedly brought down the Berlin Wall although that remains as unverified as the other stuff number 44 three months after the film's release a group fans made a pilgrimage to the Puente Hills Mall which served as he location for the Twin Pines mall according to writer Bob Gale they showed up on October the 26 1985 to see if Marty would show up in the DeLorean but as you might be able to guess he didn't number 45 while some people would consider not introducing your children to the Back to the Future films neglectful parenting Michael J Fox admitted in 2015 that his four children had never actually seen his defining role and yet Child Services says I was wasting their time of resources for that information number 46 it took Lea Thompson three hours in makeup to transform into a 47 year old version of Marty's mother given that in reality the act is only ten days old of the Michael J Fox who in turn is almost three years older than his on-screen dad Crispin Glover number 47 during one take the alcohol bottle that Michael J Fox had to drink from during the parking scene was filled with actual alcohol not a revolutionary concept I know but for obvious reasons the bottle was supposed to be filled with water the crew switched the content for one take as a prank and Fox's reaction made its way to the blooper reel ah 80s health and safety regulations number 48 despite the series of read drafts and last-minute alterations the script went on to be used by the University of Southern California film school as the model for the perfect screenplay but clearly these filler signs had never seen Batman and Robin because that that's a screenplay number 49 Marty's enchantment under the sea performance we're in a questionable move he ends up inventing rock and roll on behalf of Chuck Berry also drew inspiration from a number of seminal rock stars his speaker kick is an ode to the who he circular guitar strum also knots of the whose Pete Townsend as well as Bruce Springsteen lying down and playing is a moon from ac/dc guitars angus young's playbook as is his leg kick dance which in turn was inspired by Chuck Berry bringing the weird rock'n'roll time loop full circle number 50 at first the film was banned from screening in mainland China because it depicted time travel which was deemed to disrespect history granted this was a long time ago and by now the problem I'll know why they've doubled down and banned all films including time travel in 2011 well except the end game for some reason number 51 one clinically unimaginative marketer had hopes of getting a prominent California Raisins placement in the film but a moment did telling the company it would do for their little shriveled grapes what et did four Reese's Pieces which was always going to be an uphill battle if I'm honest they settled on having an advert on the bench that read sleeps on when Marty comes back to the future but strangely California Raisins weren't too happy with being the company advertised on the homeless man's bed and they received a full refund of their $5,000 investment number 52 from Nathan Lane to Michael Keaton many a famous name changes come about due to the Screen Actors Guild prohibiting two actors registering with the same name this was the case for Michael J Fox who had to add in the change or for confusion with Michael Fox who started in 1955 science fiction theater the favorite show of young George McFly in you guessed it Back to the Future number 53 the farm where Marty crashes the DeLorean in 1955 belongs to old man Peabody and his son Sherman this is a tribute to the time-traveling cartoon duo mr. Peabody and Sherman who featured in 1959 the Bullwinkle show number 54 but the film had its influence forward by being the basis for Adult Swim cartoon Rick and Morty which started life as a series called the real animated adventures of doc and Marty I recommend it but you have to be really really smart why she could get it so no I'm not doing the whole couple faster number 55 are five on the night of November the 12th 1955 while Marty McFly was busy stealing his biggest hit before he actually written it Chuck Berry probably wasn't in to take a call from his cousin Marvin seeing there suggest that Dave been named the most promising new R&B artist by Billboard poll so he probably would have been alright without a diminutive white kid ghostwriter number 56 the London premiere of the movie was attended by none other than Diana Princess of Wales Michael J Fox would later become being sat next to Diana and being just a fake yawn and an arm stretch away from being on a date with the Princess of Wales although granted that probably would have gotten shot number 57 this wasn't the people's princess his last affiliation with the trilogy either one of the many headlines three children the USA Today that Marty reads in 2015 his version 2015 in the second movie Paget's feature two mentions the impending visit of Queen Diana ah okay that obviously hasn't aged quite as well as some of the films other predictions number 58 other headlines included a female president which you don't like it was only one year off I'm actually happening until biffed I mean Donald Trump made sure this was pure sci-fi in the 2016 election number 59 the paper rolls have predicted baseball pitches with Bionic arms someone named Marshall running a record-breaking three-minute mile the kill the cans are potentially being cholesterol and killed prices increasing due to pollution in the South Pacific all of which seem to not actually happened except maybe kelp prices because I'm not going to check that number 16 but perhaps the most talked-about prediction from Back to the Future 2 is vision of 2015 was that the Chicago Cubs will win that year's World Series now this might not seem like the craziest prediction in the world but two baseball fans and those who've read the Wikipedia page enough to have a basic grasp this would clearly dig at the fact that the Cubs hadn't won a World Series since 1908 so in 2015 when they extended their drought to over a century the gag only hurt Cubs fans more that was until they actually won it the very next year which fighter the futures Twitter page attribute it to the 1994 baseball strike touring off their prediction number 61 granted the Cubs didn't do it in a clean sweep as predicted by USA Today nor did they do it against the Miami Gators because they don't exist and the Miami Marlins can actually face the Cubs in the World Series for reasons I won't go into that I definitely understand though because I'm a huge baseball fan definitely yes but given that there was no major league baseball franchise in Miami 1989 it's still kind of a win number 62 the paper also mentions the bad reviews received for its 17th installment of the jaws franchise but the production company didn't seem to mind seeing as they've already released two more movies as Marty walks through he'll valium 2015 he scared by a practically photorealistic shark hologram advertising jaws 19 which the Billboard says is directed by max Spielberg son of the original film's director Steven number 63 okay just to avoid the rest of this whole video becoming predictions about to the future - gone wrong let's have a quick roundup ready okay no automatic dog walkers no self-drying jackets no one really uses fax machines anymore because we have the internet lawyers for better or worse have not been abolished at no dehydrated pizza no automatic weather control no x-ray vision zap is thick to send him to sleep that we know of and not commercially available and no fly cart or hoverboards except the ones that don't hover and aren't nearly as cool Nintendo 64 but held up the things they got right well for starters the game of slam balls invented 13 years after part 2 was released and 13 years before the 2015 playoffs of Douglas J needles favorite sport was slated to begin number 65 other spot-on predictions include the predominance of flat screen TVs video Google glass style eyewear hey whatever happened to that cashton existing as a common currency and eye scanning and fingerprint recognition becoming a mainstay in day-to-day life although the last to many take place on mobile phones which I know it to be seen in the film so it's hardly that prophetic number 66 approaching October the 21st 2015 the day marching doc travelled to impart - it looked pretty unlikely that we were going to get the self-lacing shoes a film promised but life imitated art as it's often duds and night reshoot the replica mig trainers from the film on october elephants first with actual self lacing technology the 89 pairs were given away in a $10 raffle that raised there were six million dollars for the Michael J Fox foundation for Parkinson's research although now although set you back around a hundred thousand dollars number 67 however a knee and all differences between movie 2015 and real 2015 who explained rather neatly by the 30th anniversary blu-ray trinity release in Rio 2015 which included a short called Doc Brown saves the world in the short doc explains how he went to the 1940s in a rebuilt DeLorean and saw that hoverboards and hydrated foods had made us fat so he returned to stop many of the futuristic technologies from being invented convenient number 68 while the clever repurposing of the first film's cast became a staple for sequels a notable absences George McFly - Crispin Glover who didn't return after objecting to the ending of the first film he objected to the fact that Martinez family were rewarded at the end of the film with money and belongings which makes them happier than before Marcy travel to 1955 he would have referred that love was a good enough reward and wanted script approval if he were to return number 69 ironically though after waxing lyrical about the virtues of love over money brother ultimately didn't return because he believed he was being offered less of the green stuff than Lea Thompson Thomas Wilson Bob Gale even claimed that global was asking for the same paycheck as Michael J Fox although he denies this number 17 you may be shouting at your screen or device right now that you remember Glover being in part 2 but firstly I can't hear you and you look kind of weird right now and secondly no he wasn't archive footage of the first film was recycled and in the four other shots Jeffrey Weitzman was shoved in the prosthetic mask of Calathes face and shot an obscure enough angles to master casting change this seemed pretty clever on Jill Glover sued Universal for using his likeness and won three quarters of a million dollars although I'm sure he was more annoyed they didn't offer him instead of financial gain number 71 it seems some actors have just cosmically drawn to quote movie trilogies as part to introduce the world to a young an idea would slightly cuter but about the same height as its Hobbit days he's one of the two kids in 2015 who are confused by the wild gunman arcade game although he's not the one they trust him a dialogue late bloomer I guess number 72 in part twos dystopian alternate 1985 the newspaper Marty breeds confirms that this is in fact the darkest timeline a lot of its headlines announces Richard Nixon's intention to seek a fifth term as president meaning that somehow Biff being good at sports butterfly effected the Watergate scandal out of existence short to find that one number 73 while the film was a year off with his predictions about the future of sport you'd hope that at least get the post right well in fact while they didn't use the same radio broadcasts the American football scores Biff heard while driving to the dance are the exact scores from November 12th 1955 right down to the UCLA and Washington game where UCLA kicker chip Jim Decker hit a last-second field goal to win 1917 with 18 seconds left to play all of which makes perfect sense to me is an avid fan of the old gridiron number 74 after the success of the first film new releases of it had the work to be continued andddd before the credits this let viewers know that was going to be sequel viewers like a Michael J Fox for example who claims he first realize there would be another installment when he saw this message naturally he called his agent to double-check he was actually in it and Eric Stoltz probably called his agent and fired them number 75 when Marty gets knocked out in the trilogy which is so much of there's a good chance the whole trilogy is just a fever dream he wakes up in an unfamiliar place and speaks in line mom mama said you however when Jennifer takes up the mantle of being knocked out and waking up in a strange place in 2015 the line is instead spoken by Marlene McFly also affectingly played by Fox in drag mom 76 in 2015 Roger Bob Gale confirmed a long-held fan theory that the dystopian 1985 Biff Tanner was in fact inspired by the Donald himself President Donald J Trump he pointed to tannins self-obsession 27-story Casino and financial implements on local politics his tip-offs as if his entire appearance wasn't enough to go on as a result Stalin's community is littered with crime and corruption but I'm sure there's no comment to be made there number 77 after Jennifer's original actor Claudia Wells left a sequel following a family tragedy the filmmakers brought in Elisabeth Shue no relation with that thing you're wearing on your foot well there may be I don't know I've never checked that this meant that all the final shops of part one had to be reshot with this new cast member number 78 dogs meteorological disappearance and these sudden appearance of a befuddled postman at the film's climax is actually foreshadow right at the start when they first arrived in 2015 the rainy weather stops exactly when it's forecast to do so by The Weather Service and Doc thing comment he wishes the Postal Service was as reliable that's what you wish for right number 79 while early draft of the script featured Marcy heading to 1967 where he'd be arrested for not having a draft card this strain tantrum would have also seen George in the rain living his hippy college students and so simple mathematics dictated that there would be nowhere near the right age for that to make any sense number 18 as with the re-releases of the first film the original theatrical cuffs and cable editions apart to end with the teaser to be concluded and a trailer for Back to the Future Part 3 that marked only the third time in history that film ended with a trailer for another film probably because it's what we're doesn't it we think about it number 81 after the runaway success of the first film Universal wanted to save money and cut down the time spent waiting for the rest of the trilogy so they film parts two and three back-to-back with only a three week break in between over a period of roughly 11 months number 82 this resulted in a horrifying schedule for Robert Zemeckis who for three weeks of the shoot would spend his days filming the final train sequence of the third film in Northern California before flying to LA to approve the sound dub of the second film being supervised by Bob Gale before sleeping until 4:30 a.m. then flying back to set for the day's filming which does have the kind of lifestyle drug habits are made from number 83 in another installment of people in the past don't know who this person is Calvin Klein is subbed out for Clint Eastwood in the third film when Marty mentions in 1955 doc replies Clint who despite the fact we could see posters for 1955 s revenge of the creature and tracker in the background two films to be true a young unknown version of the man with the world to his famous squint number 84 Eastwood actually made an appearance in part two as well when Biff Tannen Trump is watching the man with no name in 1964 a fistful of dollars the scene in question actually foreshadow is Marty standoff with Mad Dog Tannen as both Martin Clint survived a gunshot thanks to a concealed metal plate under their clothes number 85 when Marty finds himself back in the Wild West we see a horse salesman named Joe stapler which completes a trilogy of Sadler's in the transport industry in 1955 the Statler she got mechanical best at the motor Studebaker and by 1985 they've really sold out with Statler Toyota however by 2015 the Statler to appear to have hit hard times following the advent of hover convergence and single occasion of stock the Toyota is replaced by a Pontiac dealership with no family ties number 86 due to his famous affection for the first film and its Western affiliations former president and former former actor Ronald Reagan more approached to play Mayor Hunter in part three this would have been his first role in almost 30 years but he regret fleet earned down the opportunity which went instead to huge he'll pimp who are checked and it's never been a president of any country number 87 Michael chase box really one-upped Eric Stoltz on the method acting front when its character gets linked by Buford Tannen Fox accidentally ended up getting hanged for real to the point when he fell unconscious love the most hilarious people reel in world's but all's well that ends well number 88 every top of the town band in 1885 look familiar then there's a good chance you're middle-aged barber Congrats on that by the way because you just recognize now that's what I call dad rock along the ZZ Top number 89 while filming with ZZ the camera broke during a take and while waiting for it to be fixed Michael J Fox asked the band to play hey good-looking which luckily they did or this anecdote would be rubbish two hours went by presume you've been playing more than just one song and someone asked if the camera was fixed Zemeckis admitted that it was but he couldn't bring himself to stop the party which is sweet unless he made the crew make up for lost time after hours number 90 when Marty uses the place of a frisbee spy to disarm mad dog it's more than just a sight gag he mentioned the frisbee actually evolved from students at Yale University throwing pie plates made by the company which started back in 1871 more great creative stuff from history by Marty McFly's frivolities number 91 Michael Winslow is best known for two things playing Jones and police academy and making weird sounds with his mouth he did the latter for Back to the Future providing the sound effects for Marty's feat from Buford shoots at them to make him dance number 92 when teaming the hill valley history books Doc Brown reveals that the surname of his German ancestors was von Braun a reference to leading German rocket scientist Verner von Braun who was controversially taken to America following World War two despite his sinister affiliations which makes Doc's outsider status in 1955 a tad more understandable number 93 the film's conclusion sees doc and Marcy push a locomotive up to 88 miles per hour which is firmly in the realms of science fiction seeing is the fastest steam locomotive in active service in the 1880s was the eight wheeler steam engine which had a top speed of just over half the requisite time travel speed at just 45 miles per hour but then we already knew that didn't we we all love trains number 94 when doc gets the pull the train whistle he admits he's wanted to do that all his life that sounds like a rather childish sentiment it is it repeated in 2004 Polar Express also directed by Sam Equis when the denied protagonist known as hero boy blows the whistle on his own scientifically GPS train number 95 after doc saves his future flame Clara Clayton from plummeting into the show Nash ravine if means that Clayton ravine never gets it's morbid renaming however when doc and Marty crash a train to the chasm it's safe to assume the locals didn't click onto the time-traveling aspect to assume them dead this is confirmed in 1985 when a signpost revealed that the area now bears the name Eastwood ravine after Marty's Wild West pseudonym that's despite the fact the doc and Clara are also on the train but apparently weren't important enough to name a ravine after number 96 in a mall of about a million parallels between the different paths the future time zones the man trying to tell Marty a cult assures him that the shooting game is so easy a baby could do it that echoes Frodo and friend mocking is shooting arcade game in part two by comparing it to a baby's toy number 97 not content with just inventing the word Butthead Buford Tannen actor Thomas Wilson performed all his horse riding stunts himself and even trained with the lasso he said we could catch Michael J Fox for real on camera number 98 between 1991 and 1992 there was a questionable canonical expansion to Dakin Marty's adventures in a french-american CBS produced cartoon series however despite the talent of Homer Simpson's voice actor dan Castellaneta as Doc Brown the show was not reviewed after low ratings over its first two seasons number 99 during the mid 90s there were rudimentary plans for horse instalments for the franchise one potential storyline would have seen Dakin family headed to Roswell New Mexico in 1947 presumably to witness or even be the fabled UFO crash Fox would have only had a cameo in this iteration although in 2004 he discussed his own ideas for a fourth film in which Marty would serve as a mentor to a new presumably time-traveling fan my number only chri'topher Lord also threw his hat in the sequel pitching ring claiming he always wanted to do one more movie in which Martin doc traveled to ancient Rome that's where it would presumably meet more of Marty's ancestors who look exactly like him and his mother raising serious questions about how diverse that gene pool has been number 101 however you'll notice that none of these sequels have come to pass and sadly Gavin tameka's who owned the rights stated in 2015 they would not be heading back to the franchise as long as they're still breathing but fear not I'm sure as soon as they kick it Disney will snatch up the rights and bring us three more trilogies so that was a hunt one fact about Back to the Future which backed was your favorite did you enjoy it did you did you really though let me know the comments down below be sure to give this
