1,000 Horsepower McLaren 720S vs Stock 720S 1/2 mile Drag Racing at Wannagofast

morning everybody its Brooks from drag times that come it's 6:00 a.m. the morning of V want to go fast in a mock I got I'm bringing out the McLaren 720's and the Ford GT got a bunch of stuff to pack up and get in here and then I got about five or six friends coming over to cruise over there it's about an hour and half drive out there racing starts at 9:00 a.m. and you know we're gonna get some good runs in with a 720 and the Ford GT since the Portuguese got zero storage luckily the most versatile supercar that 720s is gonna hold everything my stuff's we got we got helmet camera bags about 40 pounds of camera gear at cameras and GoPros overnight bag we're staying in Naples for GT got both cars on the charger ready to go plus we got atom stuff and some other people's stuff too they want to bring out the tire warmers for 720's that just wanna make some big power on the dyno so we'll see how that goes too so let's load up and wait for them to get here and head out [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] whoa that thing's a handful all right it's fun like crazy [Applause] nice [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so there you go driving that modified McLaren with the upgraded turbos was insane that car was spinning when I did my test passing against the GTR upwards of a hundred miles an hour and it was just at the point when I was about to let off but I was able to keep it down and it's just sick fast the next day obviously you saw me race my 720s which actually set the record for the world's quickest half mile or fastest half mile 720's at 177 miles an hour previous date did 173 but you saw the Vidocq stats that upgraded turbo car is just moving and they actually we're working on the tune on the dyno the night before they want to go fast event so they're back on the dyno this week and then we're hitting the drag strip to try and gets a new record for the world's quickest 720 s now a lot of people are asking when's the first 720 that's gonna go eight and I mean I know we've seen nine five nine four nine three and nine two but the amount of power or the amount of off the line grip you have to get to get to the eight it's just a huge amount to get that extra two tenths and I think you know this quarter-mile trap on the modified 720 150 556 miles an hour to get in the eights with that mile an hour you don't have to drop down into the 140 s in the 60 foot time and that's just not possible with the stock launch control launching at 3,000 rpm so either the launch controls gotta be modified to bump it up to about 4000 rpm or maybe a little higher or you got to get a lot more power in that car and trap in the 160s so two things traffic elan 60s or drop that 60-foot if we want to get in the eights nevertheless it's really cool to race the stock 720's against the modified seventh ones because you know how fast this car is and to see the modified one put basically a cruise ship or whatever on me just really shows how much faster these seven 20's are going i got a lot more races coming I know it's taking a long time and a lot of people want to see them but it's a lot of work to get them out so make sure you're subscribed and keep it notified thanks for watching [Music]
