[Music] video game worlds are built to be export from Monster Hunter to Assassin's Creed to the cutesy bricks of Lego Harry Potter you're encouraged to have a good old sniff around the place collecting artifacts breaking down walls annoying NPCs and generally being a nosy bother er hell even kart racers tempted to go off-road in search of hidden shortcuts and this constant loop of exploration and discovery is a rush that only gaming can really provide well that and going outside but we all know which is better however there are some places cue the sinister music that you and your videogame avatar were never meant to go riddler trophies underground tombs intel items games are littered with secrets that the developers meant for you to find all along but a lot also contain off-limits things stuff that was supposed to be sealed away and never found by anyone you weren't really supposed to find these secrets but come on unbreachable barriers and layers and layers of complex code are no match for determine nerd with plenty of time on their hands and yes I'm talking about you guys I am the Tomb Raider ash from what culture gaming and these are 10 video game secrets you weren't supposed to find 10 the developer photo The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt The Witcher 3 is one of the biggest games of all time with dozens and dozens of side quests to complete beasties to slay and a robust campaign to get lost in even if you just want all the achievements or trophies you're looking at well over a hundred hours and with so much content came of the flora of Secrets to uncover and while the majority of those were obviously supposed to be tracked down by players this hidden photo in the blood and wine DLC does not fall into that category the image a shot of the CD Projekt RED development team can be found a top mount Gorgon an area that through normal play is located outside the boundaries of the map but when players installed a camera mod and started exploring they were able to search through areas that would otherwise be sealed off after moving the camera to the right position you can even teleport Geralt to the top of the mountain and have a run around yourself it is a beautiful sunny location and the picture almost looks like a I'm dedicated to the blood sweat and tears the team poured into this amazing game nine Nora morrow Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter this is a weird one because the game is in Japan Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighters Nora Morrow is in the game as a normal purple character but for everyone else he's absent completely only discoverable by searching the game's ROM files Laura Morrow is created in a collaboration between developer Capcom and Japanese comedian nor otaku kanashii I was intended to be a jokey yet very much playable character in all versions of the game but for reasons unknown although it's speculated to be something to do with licensing a complaint from Marvel or even simple cultural differences he was removed from the overseas versions but with gamers being a nosy bunch people started to do a bit of digging and eventually uncovered some secret files by a translated voice lines that clearly showed the english-language version of Noir Amaro had been mostly completed an indication that he wasn't given the charp until the very last minute these files didn't allow players to bring Nora Morrow into the game in a playable way but they proved to be a cool look behind the curtain about what the overseas version of the character would have been like if he had survived eight the alternate ending shadow of the Tomb Raider imagine playing through a game beating it and hopping online to share your thoughts with everybody else for you to discover that the rest of the world experienced a completely different ending to the one that you've got you'd probably feel confused alienated and alone but that different ending scenario is something that a shadow of the Tomb Raider pyre actually experienced in 2018 the game released everybody played it and discussions and suit except one use on the Tomb Raider forums going by the name of Tombstone who started talking about an ending that nobody else had seen claiming that the game ended with law receiving a letter from NAT lab the villain in the original 1996 to write a game oh the forum users claimed that tombstone was lying but he wasn't he had actually discovered the game's discarded original ending something that was mistakenly included in the final product time was meant to be erased with a day one patch but for users who didn't install this patch like tombstone it was still intact seven line mode Goldeneye double-oh-seven Goldeneye double-oh-seven contains many cheat options built into the game with tweaks like invincibility and infinite ammo being available for players to kick on or off but another form of cheating that is also in the game one that Nintendo and rare initially didn't tell anyone about is cheat codes these codes were only discovered by determined players who spent a lot of time messing around with the game before being copied onto the internet for future players to use one of these codes unlocked something called line mode which turns the entire level into a black and white pencil on paper style drawing gameplay why is the experience remains the same but it is an awesome-looking mode that provides a bit of extra challenge when navigating the environment and tracking enemy targets it's not clear white had to be hidden behind a cheat code that was hidden inside the game and why it wasn't included alongside the handful of extra modes that are featured in the standard cheat options list maybe the devs just didn't want to share six this heightened Final Fantasy 15 episode der sky it isn't just for games that contains supposedly inaccessible secrets demos due to launched over a year before the game itself episode disguise served as a small taster of what people could expect from the full release of Final Fantasy 15 and fans wasted no time in exploring every single corner looking for clues inevitably it didn't take long for players to start trying to breach the demos boundaries and it was eventually discovered that you could break through them by jumping in front of a car and letting it push you through and on the other side a curious discovery was made by journeying way out of bounds into the unfinished regions of the demo players found an enormous titan statue carrying a massive rocky formation on its back it was an incredible sight and really conveyed a sense of scope and scale that the devs were going for with this game but nobody really knew what it was therefore despite plenty of solid theories all was made clear in a full game though much more mobile Titan was included as a boss encounter who faces off against protagonist Noctis but in a demo he was just a really awesome secret that felt equal parts mysterious and epic vibes the secret developer room fallout 76 the video game industry's favorite punching bag lately fallout 76 had a messy launch messy post-launch and well it's just a bit of a mess overall really from Bethesda accidentally releasing customer information to the general like a Polish within the game itself it has been a rough ride for the studio and its products full of regretful decisions and embarrassing moments like for example that time when players cracked open a secret room full of unreleased content obviously fallout 76 users were never supposed to be able to find this room but a few skilled hackers managed to get in they were able to access every single item in the game as well as unreleased stuff from the time like human NPCs and fresh power armor paints but first I started issuing bans but players just resorted to dummy accounts to avoid the punishment it was a right old shambles all sorts of games do have developer rooms but they're meant to be inaccessible to players it's been a name after all since it's called a developer room and not a player room but what makes this secret area stand out from the rest is the fact that it granted access to content that wasn't supposed to be available for several months fail for naked Ellen Page beyond two souls understandably a lot of actors don't want to appear nude on camera whether it's in a movie a TV show or a video game but that doesn't stop thirsty developers Oh No and so when beyond two souls came out and it featured a topless Ellen Page taking a shower it was only a matter of time before someone hacked into the game broke boundaries and invaded this poor pixelated privacy to get a look there was actually a secret to uncover here as the devs had built in a fully naked character model unseen during normal play to use in the scene in the normal versions of the game we never see Paige fully nude we just see her back her shoulders under legs but by using a debug ps3 adjusting the camera players are able to get a full look at the naked character model of course it isn't real naked Ellen Page but all the same maybe ask yourself one earth you need you to hunt out these forbidden digital titties and not just let the animated woman have a shower in god damn peace three the Lord the pi's Dragon Age Inquisition Dragon Age Inquisition is a massive game with a lot of nooks and crannies to explore but one thing that inquisitive players weren't meant to stumble across was this random pie wearing a top hat shortly after the game launched in November 2014 whispers began to circulate about a strange savory creature lurking in the dark depths of the game's out-of-bounds underbelly whispers that eventually turned into facts if players somehow managed to fall through the floor of the sky hold area they would encounter the Lord of the pies just sitting on a Ledge are naturally many questions about its origin were asked in the comments section of a YouTube video showing off the strange creature staff from developer Bioware stated the players weren't meant to fall through the level and they didn't expect anyone to find this rather odd Easter Egg they also added that they may or may not have hidden more pies within the game world so crack out your meat detectors folks to the hidden sign Grand Theft Auto 3 the only entry on this list that literally tells you you weren't supposed to get to it Grand Theft Auto threes hidden sign is one of the most infamous secrets in videogame history discoverable by following a complicated series of steps including parking a car atop of some stairs in Bedford Point and using said car to jump onto a nearby roof the sign was first found in an alleyway in GTA 3 and read you weren't supposed to be able to get here you know it isn't clear why the sign was put here or why this area is accessible in the first place but it's possible that the supposedly off-limits alleyway was discoverable too late in development for it to be fixed so the devs just put up a funny little warning sign instead weirdly enough the sign later returned in Grand Theft Auto liberty City Stories for the PSP and ps2 it reads hello again in the PSP version and you just can't get enough of this alley can you in the ps2 version changing a bit of text easy removing an inaccessible part of the map too much body work one a picture of someone's ass halo - out of all the video games secrets on this list this is probably the most costly and certainly the most bizarre and just to get this out of the way upfront it is a picture of someone's glorious butt cheeks hidden deep within halo 2 this strange story start during the development of the game steve former the CEO of Microsoft at the time stopped by Bungie for a quick visit only for lead engineer Charlie go to moon him as a joke someone took a picture of the incident and the photo began circulating at Bungie but how did it end up inside halo 2 well one of the file formats that Bungie staff encountered while building the game was dot a SS and any error messages that popped up was working with these files became known as ass errors before long someone attached the book picture to this error and it stayed like that all the way through the development and shipping of the game nobody at Bungie expected people to find the image because it was buried deeper than the game attached to a rare error message but of course someone did when this happened halo 2 was recalled bits ESRB rating information was updated to reflect nudity and the game was delayed all the great expense to microsoft bid speculated that it costs them around five hundred thousand dollars so the next time you go digging around in a game and you find a picture of someone's bare cheeks just take it straight to the publisher they'll probably pay you a loss of money to keep it quiet and if that's our list what are the secret secrets did you stumble across share your thoughts in the comment section below I finish and this has been what culture
