in the match or segment in question know how they are feeling now there has been a rise in fans hijacking wwe shows over the past 10 years as during events like the post-wrestlemania raw it is expected in borderline encourage that fans will take over the show with chants directed towards the wrestlers no don't stop them let them keep going i think they will but when do these times happen exclusive lists this place [Applause] survivor series 2011 we want ryder oh baby look at this it's pandemonium in late 2011 zack ryder was one of the most popular stars on wwe programming rider had built a loyal fan base following the success of his internet reality show and fans had a strong desire to see him on television [Applause] during the survivor series which emanated from madison square garden fans decided to vocally show their support of rider with we want rider chance during the opening match every night like oh you shut up he's not here nobody but this opening match would be between john morrison and dolph ziggler and despite ryder having a run-in spot during the end of the match the msg fans still wanted more following the main event match between the rock and john cena facing our truth in the miz the rock got on the mic to address the audience this was met with vocal we want rider chants which forced the rock to address the chants and consequently address how popular ryder had actually become listen i'm a fan too we want ryder woo woo all just remember the rock is one of the most over superstars in the history of wwe and ryder was more popular than him it still boggles our mind that wwe just never did anything with him [Applause] number two extreme rules 2018 ziggler versus rollins the main event of that year's extreme rules featured dolph ziggler versus seth rollins for the ic championship in an iron man match and whilst on paper this match sounds like a wrestling purist delight in reality the crowd turned heavily on the match itself seth with the confidence factor no doubt the wwe fans counting down with the clock here we're under 23 minutes left the match itself was rather slow which resulted in the crown starting a countdown as if the match was a royal rumble match because they were just so disinterested in it [Applause] rollins talked about the fan hijacked during an appearance on lillian garcia's podcast stating i know uh it really it really messed with golf i think like he was like super like out of sync um from from you know how he normally is so yeah i was like i was okay i i just let them do the thing and you know finally 30 minutes and by the end of it they'd be uh you know invested in what we were doing and i think they were so uh it was okay it was a weird one number three the raw crowd in glasgow 2016. when wwe presents raw smackdown overseas it's usually on tape delay this means that due to the difference in time zones wwe tapes the show earlier in the day and then it is in its usual allocated slot this is usually the case whenever wwe does their shows in the uk and traditionally they will edit the crowd reactions if the uk fans don't react in the way they wanted them to bring that please a great example of this was the road that took place on november 7th in 2016 in glasgow scotland during a segment that was initially designed to build towards the royal versus smackdown women's match at that year's survivor series charlotte flair was cunning a long-winded promo and before you knew it she was heckled with fans chanting for bayley this knocked charlotte's confidence as she was extremely rattled that the audience was virtually completely ignoring her promo now these weren't typical bailey chats they were actually singing the song hey baby with bayley in the lyrics [Applause] charlotte got so flustered that she addressed the crowd and said what are you even seeing are terrible but they continued regardless and wwe naturally edited out the chance down to a few seconds but in reality the bayley chance went on for over two full minutes as bound to throw anyone off no matter how professional you can be i will never forget this number four wwe fans throw glow sticks at jericho chris jericho was arguably the best deal in wrestling during 2009 and there's not a better example of this than when the fans started to throw glow sticks at jericho during a raw house show in 2009 [Applause] jericho would offer some insight into the incident during an appearance on busted open radio he stated come to the ring start doing my promo whatever it was typical heal thing people are brewing and some dude lo and behold hits me in the eye with a glow stick and it hit me in the eye heart it pissed me off and i was like all right all right you want to throw stuff at me ever go ahead everyone start throwing stuff at me come on what do you got what do you got there is a snow storm of these glow sticks and they're throwing them like there must have been a hundred and i remember being like a ninja like like a sugary leonard box them out of the way boom boom it was heavily rumored that stephanie mcmahon wasn't impressed with the incident and jericho shouldn't have encouraged the fans to get involved in the manner they did jericho revealed i was told by johnny ace that stephanie wants to find and she wants you suspended i'm like well stephanie's not my boss i don't give what stephanie wants you can tell her that i called vince and i cut a promo on the answering machine if this you know i got heat out there and vince mcmahon the corporate boss might hate it but mr mcmahon the heel would love this this was my job this is what i'm here to do at the end of the night the babyface beat me what's the problem you're going to find me and suspend me for getting heat i said bring it on emma refer come on and he just texted me back with a little smiley face and said calm down junior and the next day at the garden went and saw him and he's like he didn't even mention it he's like yeah of course you got heat what's the problem i said that's what i mean what's the problem he's like there's no problem i think that's how you know that stephanie should be in no position to take over the wwe jericho was a heat magnet and he did his job why should he be fined you see what i did to this book is the same thing i will do to your precious dx number five champion ascension ceremony in 2013 on the december 9 2013 edition of raw wwe hosted a championship ascension ceremony and this would be a segment where john cena and randy orton would hand in their two respective world titles before the unification ballot at the tlc pay-per-view as part of the segment there would be former world champions in the ring these included legendary names such as triple h shawn michaels bret hart and booker t however it was daniel bryan and daniel bryan only that the fans were interested in seeing what an incredible scene [Applause] as triple h was cutting a promo putting over the match the fans heckled h with chance of daniel bryan and this sustained for the entire segment brian would go on to call this segment one of his favorites of his entire career he stated my favorite moment actually happened in key arena it wasn't even me wrestling it was this championship ceremony between john cena randy orton for unifying the titles the world heavyweight championship and wwe championship it was supposed to be all about randy orton john cena but the seattle crowd hijacked the segment the chant of daniel bryan throughout the whole thing that was super cool that's a lot of family for one building daniel number six the wwe riot of 1997. in december 97 fans packed into the barton coliseum expecting it to be a taping of raw unfortunately it was advertised incorrectly in reality it was just a standard house show and this naturally upset 6 thousand plus people who decided to completely hijack the show to show their disapproval fans started throwing garbage shouting abuse and even spitting on the wrestlers the fans were warned multiple times throughout the show that if they didn't settle down then the main event wouldn't be cancelled and they would all have to go home as dx made their way to the ring for the main event hbk was hit by some kind of foreign object and the show was instantly brought to a close this however made things even worse as a literal riot began in the arena fans began fighting with security and the arena itself was forced to call in the police to handle the situation number seven the roar up to wrestlemania 28. the rule after wrestlemania has become one of the biggest knights of the wwe calendar it's a place where all the die-hard wrestling fans gather and let their voices be heard the first rule after wrestlemania that featured the crowd taking over the place was the raw after wrestlemania 28 fans went into the show extremely disappointed that daniel bryan had just lost the world title in 18 seconds from sheamus to daniel bryan i don't even think the world champion was ready so they felt they needed to hijack the show to show their support for the former world champion the fans would chant yes during every single segment and this would then be switched out for loud chance for daniel bryan himself on monday night raw in the wwe universe is jack tonight brian only made a brief appearance during the show in a backstage segment which got one of the biggest reactions of the evening [Applause] however because this was pre-taped this made the fans want to see brian even more luckily they did get to see brian russell as he would wrestle in a dark match following the show to probably send all the fans home happy and hope that they don't riot again [Applause] this is why i love raw number 8 wrestlemania 32 main event for the 32nd annual event of the showcase of the immortals it was main evented by roman reigns and triple h for the wwe title the issue was that the audience had no desire to see reigns in this position meaning that fans decided to completely hijack the biggest show of the year get back in the ring come on let's do this [Applause] early on in the match the crowd was relatively silent but as the near 30-minute main event match went on fans began to hijack the match roma needs to just not make any mistake here and he realizes he's got to get the champ back in the ring they began to chant for nxt talents such as sami zayn triple h just crawling around at ringside [Applause] bayley continues battling in the ring in the wwe world heavyweight championship the champion triple h the challenger roman reigns in shinsuke nakamura and the official checking it this was a terrible look for the wwe and showed just how out of touch they were at the time boring chants then started which then forced the wwe to turn the sound down on the live crowd during their biggest show of the year number nine wrestlemania 20. one of the most anticipated matches going into wrestlemania 20 was the match between goldberg and brock lesnar that was until the weekend of the show when it was revealed that goldberg and lesnar were both leaving the company the fans inside msg also found out about both men leaving the company so they decided to completely hijack their match rumors our running ramp for that lesnar is [ __ ] putty playing in the national football league therefore leaving the wwe that rumor has made the rounds fans would chant hogan austin and boringto show the disproval of both men leaving wwe bruce prichard recently discussed the match and the fans turning on the match on his something to wrestle with podcast he stated i watched it in the audience and the air just came out of the garden it was it was just horrible and both guys were going through the motions as far as is brock and goldberg the the crowd had turned on both and gibboush and they knew both guys were leaving and they were pissed off at both guys you know what i mean they they were pissed off that goldberg wasn't staying around and they were pissed off that brock wasn't staying around and they just wanted steve to kick both of their ass so the only high spot in that whole match was the the stunners at the end and number 10 the 2015 royal rumble now the 2015 royal rumble is perhaps the worst royal rumble event of all time and going into the show the wwe had began to position roman reigns as a new top guy in the company and despite the audience not fully turning on reigns yet the booking of that night made them borderline to test the man the problems with the match started after daniel bryan was eliminated in the first half of the match this was followed by the big show and kane virtually eliminating every single fan favorite the crowd completely rejected anything they were putting out there as they could see through the poor booking and they wouldn't under any circumstances cheer reigns [Applause] guys even one of wwe's top heels rusev was heavily cheered when he was in the final two positions against reigns shockingly their poor booking managed to even get the wrong boot during the post-match segment which goes to show just
