10 Best LEGENDARY ARMOR Sets in Fallout 4 | Fallout Top 10's

hey what is going on guys it is superb trip here and welcome back to another video in today's video guys i'm going to be doing a bit of an experiment i'm going to be trying a new type of video and this is my first top 10 video and this is going to be the top 10 best legendary armor pieces and sets that you can acquire in fallout 4. now i have never done any top 10 video before and i really want any other game now this video will be focusing on armor and i will be basing my ranking for all of these pieces uh on a variety of factors including the damage resistance that they give the legendary effect that they possess how many pieces there are of it so is it a full set or is it just one piece and also how difficult are these items to get so that all of these things will be considered in my ranking and hopefully you agree with them if you don't please make sure to comment down below if you think i've made a mistake i've said something wrong or whatever but this is just my opinion on these armour sets but yeah let's get straight into the video starting off our list in the number 10 spot we have the black ops armor pieces and these include the black ops chess piece and the black ops right shin guard now both of these items have their own legendary effects obviously this is a legendary armor video um and the chess piece has the legendary effect of plus one strength and endurance and the right shin guard has plus 10 movement speed now both these pieces can be bought from deb who is in bunker hill uh and the chess piece can be bought for around 3 000 caps and the right shin guard can be bought for around 2 000 caps now the reason why i have put this at the bottom of the list is because although these are legendary armor pieces they are they do come as a set sort of there's only two of them but they are technically a set um the legendary effects are not particularly phenomenal and neither is the damage and energy protection that they provide um so that is why they are at the bottom of the list but nevertheless they do deserve to be on the list and you should add them to your collection if you are a collector man like myself coming in at the number nine spot we have the commando armor which looks like this very interesting indeed now this armor has a helmet and a chest piece with the legendary effects being the helmet has a 10 reduction in action point cost while using vats and the chess piece has the powered effect which increases action point refresh speed now this armor would be perfect for a vats user as it increases your ap refresh speed and also reduces the amount of ap that is used whilst using vats and both these items can be acquired from procter tegan on the pridwin these almond pieces are a lot cheaper than the black ops pieces with the chess piece being only around a thousand caps and the commando helmet being only around 500. now the reason why i put this at the number nine spot is i think it is better than the black ops armor as it does provide better legendary effects and the legendary effects do actually go well together and but it isn't quite as good as the next piece of armor that we have on this list so that is why i've stuck it at the number nine spot coming in at the number eight spot we have the champion armor set which actually has three armor pieces this time wahoo we're moving upward hurrah and it has a chest piece a left arm and a right arm the legendary effects of which are the chess piece has a reduced damage from robots by 15 the champion left arm has a plus one strength and endurance and the champion right arm has a plus one agility and perception now these armor pieces can be acquired in two locations the chess piece and the right arm are sold by becky fallon uh in the fallon's basement at the diamond city market and the left arm is sold by the wandering merchant lucas miller who frequents bunker hill a lot um but you can find him roaming around the commonwealth very easily now the value of these armor pieces is even lower than the commando set with the chest piece only being 676 caps the left arm being around 300 caps and the right arm being around 300 caps so it is an exceptional bargain now the reason why i've ranked this at the number eight spot is because i believe it is better than the commando set as it has three pieces um so it is more of a set um and the legendary effects don't particularly go well together the right arm and the left arm do provide increased special stats and the chest piece does have a reduced damage by robots from 15 um however i don't think that is a particularly useful thing because fighting robots yeah it's not really that useful um but it is still a good armor set to have and i do believe it is better than the previous two on this list so that is why i have stuck it at the number eight spot now at the number seven spot we have atoms bull walk now some people might be thinking superb tube what this is an exceptional piece of armor is it not you get this after completing the end of far harbor after completing the reformation quest um or destroying fire harbor uh in cleansing the land you can get this piece of armor from the children about them um and it is meant to be very good it's an end game it's an end of dlc item um and it should be exceptional should it not well no now the armor itself is the best in the game the marine combat armor is phenomenal it has an amazing damage resistance and you can't take that away from it however the legendary effect present on this item is less than useless for the majority of fallout 4 players the legendary effect provides a damage and energy resistance increase if the player has an increased amount of rads um and obviously the majority of fallout 4 characters are not rad specialized characters so legendary effect is basically useless for a lot of people because i know me personally i always cure my rads as do the majority of people um so the legendary effect really has no bonus whatsoever however the armor piece itself is just too good to rank any lower on the list the marine combat armor is phenomenal um so that is why i've put it at the number seven spot now coming in at the number six spot we have the apocalypse armor which includes the apocalypse chess player and the apocalypse left grieve now the legendary effects for these items are the chest split has the martyr's legendary effect which temporarily slows down time during combat when the player is at 20 health or less which is a phenomenal and i mean phenomenal legendary effect is basically the nerd rage perk put on an item and the apocalypse left grief has the bolstering legendary effect which is not as good as the other one which increases energy and damage resistance the lower the player's health is now these two pieces of armor are ranked higher than the rest because the mata's legendary effect is just too good it slows down time when you're at 20 health or less it is a phenomenal piece of armor however i have ranked it only at number six because a few of the armor pieces on this list do include um that same effect and they are simply better than it however how you get these armor pieces is pretty hard now the apocalypse left grief can be obtained by sending the vault-tec rep which can be found at the hotel rexford pictured here and by sending him to sanctuary or to any settlement and assigning him to a tier 4 uh general trader and he will sell the apocalypse left grave now the apocalypse chess player which is the better of the two pieces of armor um is acquired in a much harder more tedious and just all-round annoying way the way you get the chess player is you can purchase it from the scribe who you must assign to a tier 4 armor emporium at your settlement however obtaining the scribe is a bit of an ordeal now there are youtube videos out there showing you how to get the scribe um but he is a random encounter he is completely random when and where he spawns there are certain spawn locations that he will spawn at um but it is completely random it's a random encounter um so yeah trying to get this armor is probably the hardest out of them all because there is no guarantee that you'll ever even be able to get it um but there are a variety of tutorials on youtube that i'm sure you could watch if you really really wanted uh this hour but again there are armor pieces on this list further up that are simply better and have the exact same legendary effect so i wouldn't worry too much about it but i would rank this at the number six spot next up at the number five spot we have acadia shield which again can be acquired in the far harbor dlc now the legendary effect for acadia shield is plus one agility plus one endurance and plus one intelligence a somewhat good legendary effect um but not anywhere near as good as the other ones on this list however the damage resistance and energy resistance that this shield provides is exceptional it rivals even the marine combat armor the shield is also unique in its appearance as it is a clean variant of the synth armor chess piece found in the regular base game of fallout 4 and so it is certainly something worth acquiring in order to acquire the shield you must complete the fire harbor dlc and side with dima and acadia and he will reward you with this beautifully clean synth shield and the reason why i put it at the number five spot and ranked it above everything else is because i think it is certainly uh the better of the two far harbor rewards in terms of armor and atoms bull walk is good for what it is but it has a far worse legendary effect than acadia shield and acadia shield is also superior to the apocalypse set because it is far easier to obtain and it also has a better base damage and energy resistance than the apocalypse set so that is why i have stuck it at the number five spot now at the number four spot we have the devastators chess piece and the devastators right grave both of these armor pieces have quite good legendary effects with the chess piece having the ability to reflect 10 percent of their melee attackers damage back on the attacker every single time they attack you and also the right grief has the martyrs legendary effect which as previously explained slows down time if the player character has 20 health or less in order to obtain these two amazing armor pieces what you want to do is head on over to good neighbor and simply talk with cleo and bada boom there they are sat in her inventory now the damage resistance for the chess piece and the right grave is very very good it is end game stuff isn't quite as good as marine combat armor however it is still exceptional uh as an endgame item now the reason why i've ranked it at the number four spot and not any lower or any higher uh is because it is only two pieces um but the legendary effects of both are very good and also the damage resistance is really good this is end game stuff you can use this at the end of fallout 4. um but i don't think it is uh any higher on the list because we have some very very exceptional good interesting phenomenal stuff coming up after this and so that's why i stuck it at the number four spot kicking off the top three we have the destroyers armor set which is the closest to a full armor set um in this video anywhere um we have the destroyers chess piece which reduces damage from humans by 15 they destroy his right leg which increases movement speed by ten percent he destroys left leg which increases movement speed by ten percent he destroys left arm which reduces damage while blocking or sprinting by fifteen percent and finally the destroys helmet which increases one charisma and one intelligence the only thing we are missing here is the destroyer's right arm which doesn't exist um but this is the closest thing to a full armor set and the legendary effects aren't that bad honestly some of them are really good oh there's a bit air but they this is the best thing that you're gonna get um the closest thing you're gonna get anywhere to a full legendary armor set now the base damage resistance of these items is not that good however i think the fact that it is an a full armor set just boosts it up across the list because nothing else really comes close to a full armor set on this video we've had two pieces we've had three pieces but this is five pieces of armor it's very good now in order to obtain all of these pieces you're gonna have to listen very carefully because they are scattered across the commonwealth they destroy his chess piece and the destroyer's left leg can be sold by daisy in good neighbor so head on over there and you can get the chest piece and the left leg in order to obtain the right leg you want to go to alexis combs who is sat in vault 81 she also sells the overseas guardian uh they destroy his left arm is sold by deb at bunker hill and the destroyer's helmet is sold by penny fitzgerald in covenant so hopefully you didn't murder her now as i've said the reason why this is at the number three spot is because although its damage resistance isn't that good the the legendary effects are pretty good with the reduces damage from humans by 15 being definitely the best by far you fight humans all the time in the game and reducing their overall damage by 15 is definitely significant um the other legendary effects like the one one charisma and one intelligence aren't that good you can get that from wearing just regular pieces of clothing and but overall as a full set this is a top quality armor set so yeah that's why i stuck it at the number three spot coming in at second place unfortunately just missing out on the first place title we have the freefall legs which you probably will know are just a phenomenal piece of armor the freefall legs when wearing both of them allow you to completely eliminate fall damage you can jump from the predwin to the floor and not have a scratch on you you can jump from the highest point of the map to the lowest point the map and not take any damage whatsoever these are phenomenal the three four legs are just two pieces of armor unfortunately you know it's not a full free fall set whatever um but they are exceptional you can do anything with these you you've completely eliminated a gigantic source of damage in fallout 4 just by wearing these two pieces of armor now in order to obtain this you are going to want to um die after trying to do this anyway i did um these are located at the top and i mean top of the mass fusion building there are a variety of tutorials that you can watch i really just couldn't do it um but you do need a power armor and a jet pack in order to obtain them or um alternatively you can use a bin and break the physical physics of the game in order to glitch it but again uh do watch tutorials on that um i'm showing the location in this video and i'm showing you my my best attempts to get up there but honestly it is very hard to obtain uh these pieces of armor however they're just too good they're just too good you completely eliminate fall damage from the entire game you never have to worry about falling ever again which you know is pretty damn good um so that is why i have ranked that at the number two spot but now let's have a drumroll to do that's my best attempt at drumroll now we are at the number one spot what could it be well let's find out at number one we have the recon marine armor set which includes the recon marine helmet which has plus one agility and perception the recon marine chess piece which has reduced damage while standing and not moving by 15 the recon marine right arm which increases the movement speed by 10 of the user and the recon marine left arm which has the martyr's legendary effect which slows down time when you have 20 health or less now these pieces of armor are just the best they they top the list there is no better the reason why these are obviously at the top of the list is because recon combat armor is just the best in the game it has the best damage resistance the best energy resistance and on top of that all these legendary effects are pretty damn good but the best obviously being in my opinion anyway the martyrs legendary effect now in order to obtain all of these items you are going to have to spend an awful and i mean an awful lot of caps i think in total it covers about 40 000 caps um to buy all of these items so um prepare to dish out your pockets but if you want to get infinite caps well make sure to click that card right there because that will tell you how to get infinite caps in fallout 4. anywho right so but if you want to get all these armor pieces i'm going to tell you how to do it right now um so the recon marine helmet can be bought from brooks in far harbor for an exceptional sum of money um the recon marine chess piece can be bought from cog who is in acadia the recon marine right arm can be bought from sister mike who is in the nucleus and the recon marine left arm can be bought from brother kane who is also in the nucleus obviously these items are from the farhad dlc so if you don't have that unfortunately you are missing out on the best armor in the game um but yeah that is definitely number one for me it just the damage resistance is insane the legendary effects are insane it's just overall the best unfortunately is missing the legs um so very sad sad noises but of course but you know you take what you can
