wringer more times than we've had hot dinners and come out the other side still focused on trying to save the world with his incredible technology and well it's very understandable that most people see the Iron Man suit as the pinnacle of his intellect he has been tinkering and toying with other wondrous gadgets in his lengthy tenure with Marvel so today were actually going to look at the mind behind the man and see what other brilliant inventions that he's blessed and sometimes accidentally threatened the world where there's armed jewels this is what culture comm and these are the 10 best inventions Tony Stark has ever made number 10 the innovation intensifier tales of suspense number 74 remember that time that Tony Stark made an invention that could totally have revolutionized the medical field and it was just never mentioned again don't worry that actually happens a lot in comics where powers and tech just go forgotten after a single use but but still let's talk about the innovation intensifier in a move not unsurprising for the often surreal pages of the tales of suspense series issue number 74 saw the use of Starks newest creation the innovation intensifier which is most simply explained as a machine that makes you stronger both against injury and in general and how it does this is never explained but are you really going to ask questions when you can benchpress a bus no I thought not the machine is used to save happy Hogan's life although it's somehow also gives him insane levels of super strength and manages to drive him crazy while it does come with some serious detriment it's weird that Tony never even seems to consider trying to alter a machine that could have saved countless lives especially since there's one of the most interesting and potential field creations he's ever really made number 9 iron sight superior Iron Man one of Iron Man's impressive if completely immoral inventions was that of the iron sight robot swarm which are essentially very fancy surveillance drones made by a villainous iron man to try and police the entirety of San Francisco it's much more complex than it actually sounds because even though it doesn't sound initially impressive it's the size of the operation that hasn't been mentioned yet do to start using citizens phones to gain information about them the drones are able to recognize every inhabitant of the city as well as know pretty much everything about them based on their records their social media and even their search history given its heavily implied that Stark made this in between a series of spring break level drinking parties it's pretty impressive that they got built in the first let alone with the level of nuance that they possess still it's absolutely creepy right number eight guru armor fear itself the ruin man's suit is just about the coolest armor Iron Man has worn his illustrious history of wearing pretty much only badass looking metal this is in no small part helped by the fact that the metal that comprises this suit is a room metal which makes up other powerful artifacts in the Marvel Universe such as Thor's hammer Mjolnir and one of Captain America's shields aware of the metals power iron man uses it to create a stronger outer coating for a suit in the fear itself series which then allows him to take on enemies with God level powers and when you've got God's battering that piss out of each other with Iron Man in the middle that is always going to make for a fantastic read while it is undeniably cool and pretty practical as well we do have to remember one thing that this is basically just his regular suit dipped in magical metal - in terms of actual inventing brain power used to make this it's on the lower end of the scale still though it is very cool number seven extremis 3.0 superior Iron Man while these superior Iron Man series does cover a scenario where a villainous Iron Man does terrible terrible things it's worth mentioning that he does these things with some legitimately impressive inventions even if they are unimaginably immoral case in point the extremis app which allows anyone who decided to buy into iron man's evil guff ins the ability to have the perfect body for $99 a day in truth stark infected the city's water supply with the extremis virus and you were simply paying to unlock the love this it's a horribly horribly relevant lampooning of our current day obsession with tech idealization and of microtransactions and the worst part is is that up until the truth was revealed in the storyline people were thanking him for this invention sends shivers down your spine doesn't it however that doesn't stop it from being an utterly brilliant invention and one that also ensured that a crowd of adoring fans was near him at all times making for a series of human shields should anyone try and stop him grim number six iron spider armor civil war while the iron spider probably isn't the first thing that pops into your head when you try and think of Tony Stark's biggest and best inventions it really is the proverbial dark horse in this competition because we're on man suits were naturally impressive most of them were built by Tony for Tony which makes a lot of the design work easy as he's creating something tailor fit for his own requirements but creating a suit for Peter on the other hand is much more tricky as it requires Stark to not only know the exact physical limits of Parker's powers but also to know how Parker would react to certain things and what would help him out in situations that Ironman simply would not find himself in all this in mind the fact that Ironman is able to design armor for spider-man that is basically perfect and second nature to him is a serious feat as it involves combining a technical and psychological evaluation of Peter into one cool ass looking spider suit number five that ass integrator ray tales of suspense number 42 hilariously one of Iron Man's best inventions is also one that we haven't seen in a huge stretch of time as it appeared all the way back in 1963 with the inconspicuous release of the tales of suspense 42 much as the name suggests that ass integrator Ray was capable of completely destroying whatever it was aimed at including both organic and inorganic matter stranger still though the rate isn't packaged in some housing unit that screams don't touch me or you will end up as bran flakes but actually looks like it's stored inside a normal flashlight imagine if he needed to go out to the garage at night and took this by accident number four Homer various comics despite being relatively unheard of by more modern comic fans Homer is a hugely important invention in the timeline of Tony Stark's creations as it was the first AI assistant he ever created Marvel Cinematic Universe fans may know this AI better as Jarvis which is a nod to the name of Starks Butler in the comics although the comics would go on to create an AI with the same title a year after the first Iron Man film came out Homer first appeared in Iron Man number 2 9 8 and essentially served as Tony's assistant helping him with everything from Stark Industries to organizing his own home Homer was also programmed to be able to pilot his suits in case of an emergency meaning that the requirements to get such an AI to function are likely to be it actually required the planning of Tony starke in the expertise of both wakanda's brightest inventor cherie and the forging power from a whole team of magical Dwarfs however as the backbone behind the design it still stands to reason that the armor is largely Starks creation and it's an impressive one at that as the iron all-father suit not only looks totally badass but it is also insanely powerful capable of not only being able to withstand Odin's powers but also enhancing them to be even more intense than they were before given that Odin is already one of the strongest Norse gods in the Marvel Universe that is a pretty monumental achievement at number one souls hammer New Avengers vol 3 Souls hammer is for those unaware one of the wildest technological inventions ever created in Marvel Comics which means that it's naturally one of Iron Man's most incredible inventions the creation is what is referred to as a Dyson Sphere which is a legitimate scientific thought experiment where scientists speculated that creating structures that would contain the power produced by the Sun would allow them to fulfill the energy demands of a technologically advanced future it's honestly a brilliant theory and one that I recommend you look into further however creating something like this is currently beyond our abilities as a society but not for Tony Stark it seems as Marvel had him
