look up sorry for the cocky and corny title but this is gonna be a video of me going over my full entrepreneurship journey two words entreprenuer [ __ ] how went from working as a clerk at the mall to hitting my first hundred thousand dollar month in profits earlier this year [Music] so what's good guys it's war beer has and before we get into today's video I just want to say a huge thank you we finally hit that I realized nowadays that's not that big of a deal and there's people hitting you hundred million subscribers but the hundred K mark that silver play button has been a gold mine since middle school so it's something I'm very grateful for thank you guys so much for subscribing and for all the support that said I figured I'd make this video where I go over my whole entrepreneurship journey since I usually make videos relating to finance side hustles and best thing and making money which often times in the comments section of some of my youtube videos it raises the fair question of who is this 18 year old fella and how's even qualified to be making videos on this topic and then there's also people who are commenting who are genuinely interested in what I do who even am I and being that this channel has been blessed with some unexpected growth lately and we had that planned ok subscribers I figured now's a great time to make this video and on top of that I have quite the announcement I want to make towards the end of the video this is something I've been working for months on it's been highly requested so I'm really excited to show you guys well that is and I'm also gonna go to my computer throughout this video show you guys my shop fly back and show you guys proof of numbers and/or not to make sure you stick around for the whole video and I'm not just saying that to boost my watch time please don't click off this video so I'm gonna go ahead and jump into my personal story here however given the nature of the topic I'm talking about in this video I just I just want to put it out there please don't take this video some sort of weird flex or anything like that that's not my goal here please don't please don't take it that way I'm making this video because growing up I loved watching these types of videos where people talked about how they started their own businesses and especially when I was young people do it because that was very motivational for me and those videos made me realize that if those people can do it so can i and they changed my mindset from oh I eventually want to start a business I eventually want to do that they switched my mind sent to I have no excuses if not now then when I mean honestly if I wouldn't have stumbled onto videos such as this one when I was younger I wouldn't even realize that this type of thing was possible and I don't think I'd even be in this position today so again please don't take this as a weird flex I realized everything that's happened is a blessing and I just wanted to make a video sharing my story so let's go ahead and start from the very beginning here I'm not gonna really focus on my personal life too much mostly just on the financial moves and decisions but I will say that as some of you have already suspected I was not actually born in the u.s. I was actually born in a small country in Eastern Europe called Belarus it's right in between Poland in Russia there funfact same small country as garyvee was born in coincidence I think not but my amazing family for which I'm grateful for moved to California when I was about six years old and that's why I'm currently posted up at but from that point I basically grew up living in a couple of different apartment complexes and that's where actually began hustling and trying to come up on the bag I mean I was really out there grinding since day one I've lived by some Craigslist I bought and sold kendamas at one point shout-out to those of you who know that is when I was in fifth or sixth grade actually tried doing YouTube for the first time thanks for watching hope this helped and subscribe for more I have one point fixed iPhone screens for money I mean I did graphic design on Fiverr when I was like in middle school I did a lot of different little site hustles but things got really interesting was when I downloaded the Instagram app on my fourth generation iPod Touch when I was like 11 years old I didn't realized that Instagram was a social media platform at that point and I don't think I even knew what social media was I just got Instagram to put cool filters on sick photos that I took with my sick new fourth generation iPod Touch but fast forward a few years so when I'm like 13 or 14 years old in middle school and that's when I realized that Instagram wasn't just the photo editing app it was a social media platform and as I began using the app for its intended purpose there's these pages that really caught my eye and they were these nature slash photography pages themed pages on Instagram there are featuring the work of different Instagram photographers and whatnot and they were growing a following in the process that's when the whole first wave of hipsters are all been so those photography Instagram theme pages were really popping off then by the way quick shout out to whoever owns this page earth pics when I was getting into Instagram I saw this page like a million and it's crazy that it's still popping off to this day and it was a huge inspiration for what I did next but anyways at that point I'd even realized that these pages were making money or that there was any money to be made on Instagram I just thought that it was cool that these pages were building a following so eventually started my first steam page which was in the nature and photography niche and it didn't really get anywhere however I didn't give up on the concept as I saw all these other pages doing the same thing and gaining a ton of followers I just kept grinding and trying to build up these pages because I mean at 14 or 15 years old there's not really that many real businesses you can start and I wasn't old enough to get a job so I really wanted this to work out but it didn't really work out so when I was 15 I got my first real unofficial job which was passing out flyers door-to-door for a local restaurant the night sixteen and could legally get a real job someone out and found a job at the mall working for a department store and I remember it was around this time that one of my pages actually started to gain some traction and that was a new page that I started in the same niche of travel and photography and that page actually got to like thirteen thousand followers when I sold my first shout-out on it for ten dollars now that first shout out sale was actually kind of a big deal for me I realized it was only ten dollars but it was more of like a proof of concept type thing and at that point I realized that he really can make money with theme pages some went wild with em started a ton of different new cages but most of them didn't actually get anywhere however a few actually did and I kept grinding on them selling shout outs and even got into flipping Instagram theme pages not to the home department manager of the store that I worked at if you're watching this video please skip through a little further but since I worked in the kitchen and Home Department section of my store and it was always super empty I would actually be out there in the back on the clock grinding on these pages eventually but as I began selling more shout outs on my pages I quickly realize that most of the shout out requests I was getting were from people selling to Aliexpress products for a higher price on their own website which is a business called drop shipping so fast forward a couple days after my 17th birthday and I figured I tried this business out on my own now my pages weren't that big at that point I think my biggest one was close to 20k and the rest were all under the ten thousand so I knew I had to go out and pay some bigger pages to actually post my shoutouts for the drop shipping store that I'd create so as I began exploring the drop shipping business I found a product that a ton of people were selling at the time I created a store for it and paid some bigger theme pages to go ahead and advertise it for me and even though this wasn't my first real attempt a drop shipping I was kind of in the e-commerce space indirectly for the last two years because I mean I saw what kind of post people were sending me to post on my pages what kind of theme pages were posting other jobs for being stores so I kind of knew what worked and what didn't so I think because of all the experience already had in the social media world actually got some sales from my very first go but the problem was that I wasn't profitable and the whole lifespan of the first store that I started I spent about five hundred dollars in theme paid shout outs and the total money that I got back was somewhere around seven to eight hundred dollars so after he calculated product costs and different Shopify and paypal fees I basically lost money and at that point I definitely was not in a place financially where I could keep on taking that kind of risk until I was finally profitable so I just went back to growing themed pages however this time with a goal that I actually build up some big pages then use them to advertise my own drop shipping stores that way I don't have to pay for other people's pages I kind of learned from my first drop shipping experience and realized that if I didn't have that five hundred dollar marketing cost that five hundred dollars would be money that I would put in my pocket so I started up some brand new pages but this time I went crazy with them I mean I was posting like five or six times a day not taking a single day off I was doing everything I can to make them grow going just full force at them now that summer actually ended up finessing my way out of high school year early at 17 years old because I took some classes over one summer so I had enough units to graduate a year early right after graduating I jumped into a summer semester at my local university and got on that grind to come up on a college degree although I was still running these pages at that same time I also picked up a new job which was pretty physically intensive it was for a company that owned all these different inflatables these giant 40-foot water slides and these zip lines and whatnot and we'd go around all of California setting them up for different events that were going on it was actually a pretty fun job I really enjoyed it but I mean sitting in between two guys for six hours straight in a box truck going to an event in the middle of nowhere then unloading these inflatables the way hundreds of pounds you gotta unload them set them up load them up and then supervise them for another like seven hours with a smile on your face then at the end of the event you got to deflate them roll them back up load them onto the box truck and drive another like six hours home so it was pretty difficult but the overtime was nice however it was a job that revolved around events so I really only got like a shift her to a week which is why I went out I've got another job at this point for a company that basically did elderly care I was going to college to become a nurse at that point so I figured that would be a nice little resume builder but as I was working these two jobs and going to college I didn't forget my theme pages I mean I would still be constantly posting I had a break I'd be posting I had a 15-minute break during my lecture I'd be posting working on them during the lecture I'd be working on them and eventually all this work that I was putting into these theme pages for years now started paying off and I got five hundred dollars in a single month from selling shoutouts this was a huge deal for me but because these pages were growing I actually ended up doing a thousand dollars in shoutout sales the next month and the month after that this was August 2018 I actually had two thousand dollars in a single month from selling shoutouts on my theme pages now this one we come to a turning point in our story as I now had some pretty big theme page so I figured it was time to start my own drop shipping store and start advertising all these pages since again now I won't have to pay for advertising cost since I had my own big pages and I really didn't even have high expectations I was expecting to make like a thousand dollars top the first month and I realized that's less than I was making with shoutouts but I just really wanted to stop selling shoutouts because I'll be honest selling shoutouts absolutely sucks you got to constantly be on your phone answering VMs talking to people people flake on you people won't pay you people try to dispute you and take their money back and scam you and when you're running a few different pages that only exponentially increases of all the different problems that you're having not to mention I was also a full-time student at this point going into my fall semesters taking like sixteen units and still working two jobs so I mean I just wanted to get some things off my mind clear my head and not do any more shout-out but now again getting into dropshipping my second time I found a product that a ton of people were selling at the time and build a website around it created some nice advertisements for it and just launched it throw it out there on one of my pages and here is where things really get wild - my absolute surprise the ad wet viral on my theme page I mean my store suck the design was off there's a grammar errors everywhere it was it was just a terrible store terrible conversion rate because there the ad one of I own or so many people going on my store I actually made sales so here we are actually inside of that drop shipping store and you can see the date it's September 1st 2018 now when we go to September 2nd which is when the day I first launched my first advertisement on one of my theme pages I got five hundred thirty one dollars in sales the first day from that one theme page shout out as you can see the conversion rate is 1.25 percent because again the website was terrible but then I took that same advertisement and threw it on my other pages and they kept going viral so I started posting them again they kept going viral again and they've actually started paying other pages to post them and they were going viral on the other pages so for the month of September the very first month here's what I got we'll go - we'll go over here we'll go from September 1st 2018 to September 30th I did thirty three thousand four hundred dollars in sales which was absolutely just a huge shock for me I've never seen these kind of numbers my goal is to make like a thousand dollars that first month but I didn't make thirty three thousand dollars profit there was obviously product costs and there was also the money that I spent to pay other pages to post my ad so I actually walked away with around twenty five thousand for that first month which was still absolutely insane for me but at this point I'd even quit either of my two jobs I didn't drop out of college to go flex rented Lambos in LA on Instagram because I figured 20k huge blessing but there's no way that this ecommerce thing can be sustainable and at that point again I didn't come from money I didn't have a trust fund thing for my college tuition I was actually eligible for financial aid and that's how I was going to college but I figured now that I have this income there's no way I'm gonna be eligible for financial aid so I better save this money to pay for college down the road but then when we go into the next month here so if we go into October 1st to October 31st 2018 hit apply I did another $25,000 in revenue the next month at this point I was spending a lot more to market on other pages so my margins were lower I probably only kept like 10,000 from that 25 but as I pulled in two months of some solid numbers I had to get serious because shelf I was actually pressuring me I needed to get legal paperwork for my business because of that one again I didn't have anything so I had to go find an account to do figure all this tax stuff out for me in the legalities so that was a huge mess because I also wasn't old enough to run a real business I was 17 at that point so had to register some things under my parents and whatnot I did however get all the legal stuff figured out so I was then completely legal had all the right licenses had ride tax people in place and I continued on with the business but as you can see if my cells were kind of declining so I'm still working my jobs and go to college at that point so then we go to the next month which was November 2018 go from the first to the 30th apply and November was a huge month for me I actually ran a Black Friday ad campaign that's what this spike over here is and that's when I finally decided to quit my job because at this point I was still fulfilling all the orders manually through uber low if any of you guys have experience with the drop shipping you can imagine fulfilling how many orders is this two thousand eight hundred seventy four orders manually in uber low it was a crazy time so I did quit my job because of that because I physically didn't have enough time in the day to fulfill orders and do other things but I still stuck with college at this point I was taking like 16 units I think because here's the thing I realized that 4050 K that's really cool job that saved up but in ten years that's really not gonna matter so I kept running this store until eventually that product really dried up but at that point I had a solid chunk of change saved up and I started testing out new products I eventually found another product that was working made some money with it through theme pages but then started testing out Facebook advertising and that is where we get to the second big turning point in the story because as I began using Facebook ads it's kind of got hang of it and was doing pretty well with them to the point where she wasn't even using theme pages anymore now although it's not pulling in a lot more money in revenue my profit margins were actually a lot lower with Facebook Ads but at the end of the day I was keeping a smaller piece of a bigger pie I then kept on endlessly working on this business creating new advertisements filming new content perfecting my Facebook ad strategy and eventually we get to April 2019 and as you can see here I'll refresh the page for you guys because I know there's gonna be common saying this is fake as you can see I'm refreshing the page it's gonna refresh and there we go I hit my first six-figure month in terms of revenue and at this point I kind of knew what I was doing as you can see my conversion rate went up to 6% which is quite the boost from 1% you can see I started the month with doing like $43,000 days and that eventually got up to a $7000 day in April so now again I was doing a lot more revenue but my profit margins around 40% so I kept around 40 around $45,000 I think for this month so I mean from doing twenty five thousand dollars in profit my first month so then doing 45 thousand eight months later that wasn't that big of a jump but here's the thing with Facebook Ads although your profit margins are much lower you can scale Facebook Ads absolutely through the roof so if we go into a couple months later here actually no I don't think it was a couple of months I think it was May so that's the next month after this first six figure months in revenue we had three hundred twenty four thousand dollars in revenue as you can see here I can drag my mouse through all these numbers it's all there this is in the screenshot you can see the biggest day for it almost 15,000 and I can refresh this page you can see there you go still says the same number you can do all of this this isn't fake now because I was scaling so aggressively my profit margins dropped to about 30% but that's still equals to about a little over $100,000 profit I think it was like $115,000 profit for that month and so that was everything that led up to my first six-figure month in profit I'm still running these drops you're being sourced today trying to get to the next big milestone I actually did not drop out of college mid semester I finished my first full year of college but I am taking a little break now to focus more on the business but anyways that's my full entrepreneurship journey now time for the announcement that I said I was making earlier I've spent months on working this trying to figure everything out to make it as best as I can I'll listen to all of your comments I hear you guys I dropped the course baby now for the longest time I didn't listen to your girls comments because I kind of felt bad selling to my audience that wasn't something I really wants to get into but after getting tons of comments and DMS literally saying that you guys want a paid program where I go more in depth and talk about things I wouldn't talk about on YouTube I mean supply and demand baby and also I've paid for courses before and have done it very disappointed with what I got so I kind of didn't want to start a course because of that I didn't want to be associated with all of that disappointment that people get from these courses but I made this as best I could and all that thinking was gone after I finished the course went through it I can say I completely stand behind this product it isn't some motivational mindset type thing and it doesn't promise one secret to make you guys successful today instead it's a very technical type of thing where I sit down and walk you through the whole entire process of me starting a dropshipping store it's like you sitting and watching me to start one of my dropshipping stores there's a lot of people who made money with dropshipping back in the day when there's a new thing and you can just throw up any ad on any social media page and make a ton of money with it however today the climate of e-commerce has changed a lot and things are a lot different that's what I focus on in this course how you can succeed with drop shipping today in the current climate of the drop shipping space what's actually debating doing something like this for free make a series on YouTube on it but after doing that with theme pages I basically dropped like a full theme page course that people with information that people charge thousands for that's my growing a company on Instagram series and don't get me wrong that was really cool I get a lot of big theme pages damning me now saying that they started these pages because of me and they tell me how much money they're making and it's crazy and I love that you guys are out doing that but because I released it for free and so many people saw it and actually implemented the things I talked about things got pretty saturated my personal strategies got saturated and Sukie i'm started putting up roadblocks for some of the things i talked about in that video now that's fine I don't really care about that I'm really glad some of you guys actually took that information and started theme page businesses out of it that's super cool both dropshipping it's different because it's my bread and butter it's what I do for a living so revealing everything I know about drop shipping everything I've learned for free to people who are then gonna use that information to compete with me in the same market that would be a little foolish straight up I mean this course is just a recording of me sitting down and going step by step of how I start these dropshipping businesses I give away what kind of software I used to find my winning products I build a store live step by step and explain how to do it's actually get sales today I talk about real products that I've personally drops you before I reveal those I talk about how you can use Instagram to boost your conversion rates creating viral advertisements using theme pages correctly that's actually a huge one there's a ton of new updates that's been going on in that space and a lot of people are using them wrong right now but I also get into Facebook ads scaling ads my whole personal strategy when it comes to Facebook ads and really everything in between now if you've been a subscriber of the channel for a while first of all thank you so much but second don't worry this won't change me having a course won't change the type of content I create on YouTube because the stuff in this course was never stuff that I was gonna make videos on here publicly and also if you look back through my previous videos you'll notice that I haven't accepted one brand deal and all of my time on YouTube not even one even though I get a ton of different emails every single day from companies that do little Instagram automation and different Instagram software's and different marketing and dropshipping stuff they email me every single day offering me money to promote their products however I don't do that for one reason and it's that I don't believe in the product I don't think it's beneficial and if I feel that way I'm not gonna promote it to my audience on YouTube here and I looked at my course the same exact way if I didn't feel like it was beneficial and could help people I wouldn't drop it I looked at it from the perspective of me finding out what drops were he was a couple years ago what this course be beneficial for me and I can definitely say that if I had this information in this guidance it definitely would and I'd be a lot further along today now for the pricing of the course I thought about it the same way and thought back to me two years ago when I was working a minimum-wage job what could I afford I obviously wouldn't be able to pay two thousand dollars for a course or even $1,000 per course which is why I priced this one at two hundred and ninety-four dollars I figured when I was working my regular day job I could definitely afford that and I also thought about myself today I mean if I priced it any lower that just being me shooting myself in the leg and giving this information out for completely free I even think that 294 is kind of low but I really don't want to push it and make you guys pay more than that now I'm not gonna use scummy tactics or countdown timers to manipulate people into buying this course if you're interested you can check it out there's a link below it's two hundred ninety four dollars and there's a video of me explaining exactly what I talked about in the course however as I said earlier I'm actually worried about my personal strategies getting saturated so if I see too many people getting in the only thing that can happen with the price is that I might raise it but you won't see any discount codes or anything like that it's a pretty set price for now college textbook alone could cost you upwards of $300 so I mean a full course where I sit you down and talk to you through the whole process of how I started multiple six and seven-figure companies for the price of less than a college textbook is more than there but also with my whole backstory there I really don't wanna make you sound like dropshipping easy it's not it's starting a real business it takes work there's a whole lot of different roadblocks and stories I could get into with my time and dropshipping however I don't want to make this video an hour long so I guess I'll just save them for when it Joe invites me on this podcast it's entirely possible but again due to the nature of the business it is possible to scale it rather quickly but that's not to say that it doesn't require hard work so if you're somebody that's interested in this you can go ahead and click the link in description down there the first thing where I talk more about what's actually inside the course and you can purchase it there and have access to it immediately if not that's cool too hope you guys have a great rest of your day peace [Music]
