okay and we are live how's it going everybody it has been uh quite some time since I have done a live stream on my channel it has been um several months yeah I think actually the last stream was wow eight months ago oh my gosh it has been eight months since I have done a live stream on my channel okay hello everybody whoa the chat is going crazy oh man hey hey hey hey hey how's it going um wow the chat is moving very quickly but hopefully I'll be able to keep up with it um this stream uh it does move very fast but yes okay cool so uh if you guys don't know I've been um planning and talking about this live stream for uh a few months as well I'm going to be solving every single uh yusan Hong long puzzle so that's the 7 by seven through the 11 by1 and uh in every just about every unboxing for these puzzles I've been like talking about doing a live stream of solving them all uh and then it just kind of never happened but then uh but now that they're all out basically I I want to um I'm going to solve all of them so yeah I have have no idea how long this um live stream is going to be but um yeah we will um you know I've got pretty much all day today to do this so it's like 11: a.m. right now so yeah I'm on summer break now so that was kind of I think one of the reasons why I didn't want to do it is I didn't know how long it was going to take and um I've been uh pretty busy with school although I have been doing a lot of live streams on my second Channel doing gaming streams um but I I could kind plan those out for how long those were but yeah I don't know uh how long this will take I'm estimating four or five hours probably so yeah we will uh we will be here for quite some time I would say uh right now at least at the start of the stream it's just going to be me uh I might have some friends on later uh later on I don't know who or or what um like what exactly going to be doing later on in the Stream but um yeah I don't know how much if I'll keep it going much longer after I finish or what uh this isn't like super planned out but we're just gonna basically get started um so yeah if you guys want to ask questions in the chat that is fine um it is moving very fast I probably should have put um I enabled slow chat because that limits the amount of um that limits the amount of posts that one someone can post I think they can post like once every minute or something which slows it down um cool we have 400 people watching so that's pretty cool uh that I I didn't announce it that long ago like I just uh made the stream public like 15 20 minutes ago so um yeah that's pretty awesome that there's this many people watching and it's still going up we at like four four about 4 420 now oh 428 it uh keeps updating so all right cool so I'm just going to basically stack these up over in this corner and then we're just going to basically go from smallest to biggest so we're going to start with the 7 by seven here and I need to move this chat over now because the um the cubes are blocking it okay let me make sure the sound is good is the sound good for everybody all right yeah it does sound good cool um yeah people are asking a lot of questions I I'll you know once the chat slows down a little bit I might be able to answer them but this isn't so much of a Q&A so um wow everyone is spamming yes okay cool so all right let's just go ahead and get started with this 7 by seven then uh I am really happy that I did my live stream of solving all of my puzzles before I got the yian big cubes because I already had so many big cubes uh from shanga and others that it would have been such a pain to do the Shang sha line of like you know basically uh 2 by two through 11 by 11 and then have to do that with the Ean puzzles as well that would have really sucked because I also had um the I also have the original Ean 11 by 11 and the 13 by 13 um yeah that just would have been bad okay the 7 by7 looks really small yeah it's very small um but I I kind of wish they made the 7 by7 look more similar to all the other puzzles because this one is the one the only one that doesn't have the um the strange like color scheme that's like really bright with pink and everything so I think they wanted to gear this more towards speed solvers which makes sense so yeah the um all of these cubes now have come out with black plastic versions with stickers I would love to get those but um I already have a whole lineup like I said with the Shang shell puzzles and that would just be crazy to have three sets of big cubes um so I'm I'm fine with this okay where is the dog uh the dog is not in my room if you guys watch my Snapchat story I was um messing around with him with this little air blower um he was barking at it but no I um I didn't want him to be super noisy for the Stream So Okay was it a good idea for moyu to make a fidget spinner um I don't know I I think uh I might be getting some of those um I don't know if I want to make another fidget spinner video because that whole trend is kind of dying now and I don't um I don't know if I want to make another video about it but I did get some more fidget Spinners from the cubicle and I haven't opened them yet um yeah that whole trend is just kind of uh gone too far at this point so I don't know if I want to do it but I uh I think I don't know I have an obligation to do it so I probably will they also sent some of the new cubicle Lube so yeah I'll definitely make an unboxing I don't know when though as soon as I can actually I was going to make some videos today but my um my brother is visiting and he's going um he's doing like a little photography trip and he had to borrow my tripod so I can't really record anything right now for a couple of days maybe later on tonight I'll be able shortly um it's really really nice being on summer break now because I basically have all the time in the world to work on videos uh and do streams like this and all that kind of stuff which is just awesome I absolutely love it and uh it's just been super great being on break so far uh and it hasn't even been it's been like less than a week so I I can't wait to uh keep doing this I do have a competition next Saturday uh I will be going to that it's I think it's in uh peblo in Colorado uh I don't remember what it's called but yeah oh boy all right I'm almost done with these with these edges okay all right we are going to have parody that's okay though all right down to the 3X3 stage there we go first puzzle down there is the 7 by seven so moving on to the 8 by8 okay just gonna take a quick break look at the chat real quick um are you going to Nationals I am going to Nationals onebody cubing okay that's what it's called so onebody cubing 2017 that's the comp I'm going to next week uh um how long have you been cubing six and a half years do you have knees I do have knees actually uh they are right right there there are my knees um will you upload the competitions I will upload a a video of my best solves at the competition that's what I always do so yeah which breed is your dog um my dog is a corgi he is amazing could you please eat pizza again no I highly doubt that I will ever eat pizza on a live stream again that is a very um it's very bad uh do you like OverWatch I've never played it but I've heard a lot of great things about it favorite movie probably Star Wars episode five yeah episode four or five [Music] um Okay cool so I'm gonna go ahead and get started with this 8 by8 now um I think this is the the um besides the 7 by7 this is the only like uh actual Big Cube that I have solved I think I scrambled this once and I I I remember solving this um I'm pretty sure I did okay so I would love to have someone join the stream but I can't really think of of anyone to join like the only person on Skype that I talk to anymore is Nathan and he's like asleep right now uh is this the middle of the night for him so uh I don't know who I who I should add I don't really talk to um many people on Skype anymore and I don't know who's online and who's on summer break or anything like that so for now I'm just going to keep going by myself um is it hard to record when there's a camera right in front of you uh no it you get used to it basically like I've done it so many times at this point that uh it's just very natural to to use the camera um it was a little bit strange at first but yeah uh would you rather rip the 8 by8 apart right now and reassemble it or post the link to join the stream in the chat oh gosh um you know if I posted the link I don't know what the limit is for the amount of people that can join and I just know that it would be um there would be a lot a lot of people and I would think the limit is probably like 15 or something like that um but even then that's like way too many people so I don't know I guess I would rather take apart the 8 by eight but I would I would ideally not want to do any of those things all right I want to see if I have anyone on Skype that's online right now message Daz cubing I don't know maybe yeah I don't I don't know who all is like offline right now or um off school let's see sometimes uh or usually I can spot pieces pretty easily but um yeah it's been a while since I've even solved in general okay let's see what Center should we do first I think blue for these [Music] four [Music] so people are asking me to call Kenny um I think he's on vacation right now uh yeah so I don't think that would work [Music] all right you know I kind of um I kind of want to like wonder if there's a way to do that hold on one second guys I wonder if there's a way to like add music because I think it' be nice to just have like some nice background music so it's not so boring but I see any tips oh no okay so any tips on getting subscribers no it's just the chat is going really fast now uh tips on getting subscribers oh boy um so I get this question a lot I you know in a way I don't really know how to answer it because I don't even I don't even know how I got subscribers um it was just kind of um like a long process it was many many different things that happened along the way that probably contributed to it um so I it's hard to give a definitive answer for that one you know that's one that I I get a lot but it's it's hard one to answer um let's see what's the biggest key we've ever speed solved um actually I think I timed myself on 8 by8 a couple of times but that's the highest I've ever gone um I wanted to kind of like get faster at 8 by eight for for some reason or another and and I think I my fastest solve is like 15 minutes or something stupid like that um so yeah I don't know why I just I don't know why I just built that um row that was really weird that piece also just popped off that cap okay yeah I don't know why I built that that's really stupid I'm just going to break it up because uh it's going to get in my way no uh oh don't pop please all right there we go saved that crisis averted oh man almost did it again all right I need to slow down a little bit because I am going too fast all right so two um two commutators not bad at all and there we go centers are done looks like our color scheme is right um sweet how do you have time to and money to make quality videos um so the time it's very hard to find time um and the money is just from saving money from YouTube and other things uh oh looks like Keaton is here maybe Keaton will join the stream um I'm gonna text him actually I I need um I feel like this stream is not going to I'm doing well how are you I'm doing great I'm back in the states yeah yeah must be exciting how long were you in um Hungary for four months so I'm I'm having a little bit of a uh a little bit of jet lag um but apart from that when when did you get back I got back on th on Friday so two days ago oh wow okay cool yeah last night had a bunch of people over for dinner and now I'm taking a nice easy day yeah how's this thing going I just sort of popped in for a minute and yeah it's going good so soling you're solving uh 7 through 11 yeah are you on what is that eight right now eight eight right now yep have you done ya for a b a big Sol like this before um I haven't and I don't know if I want to try it uhuh but I might just um might just do it for the 11 by 11 just for LS oh man I wonder if anyone's done that before I wonder how much longer it would take like ya is supposed to be faster but I wonder how much longer it take to Sol us I think the the biggest Advantage with Yao is in the the three three stage and then edges as well but because centers take so much longer on on bigger cubes they Dr they grow quadratically while the number of edges grow linearly it might actually not be that good yeah I don't know what you just said that went right over my head but okay I'll just agree with youart so the number of centers that you have um on an 8 by8 is you have a 6x6 Square on each side right yeah yeah so that's um six squared right six MH right and then on 9 by9 you have seven squared number of centers on each side right okay does that make sense now I'm starting to follow off so that grows quadratically so you square every s like you have something that grows by um like the number of uh like 9 minus 2 squ the number of edges grows um by that so by one each time all right yeah I see what you're saying man I almost popped this thing like four or five times like getting really close is the cube any good yeah it's a good Cube it's just I'm like going a little bit too fast ah I probably need to tighten it a bit but yeah oh boy chat has questions gts2 or gts2m I like the magnetic one a lot how about you the mag the magnetic light one is really good yeah I'm kind of curious to try the mass produced version that's actually the only one that I have oh really yeah okay yeah I I have I don't really know if it would be better or or worse I think didn't Damian say was like a little bit not really worse but just different I believe that it's it's definitely like a lot lighter than what I thought it would be so and he said the mass produc one was slightly heavier than the light one if I remember his video correctly so be the I um I think that uh I'm getting the Boron treated Gans so or just I don't know is it the um or just the M or just the air I don't know air is war treat I tried one last night um I didn't have I I wasn't able to try it for that long but I did try the I didn't I wasn't able to get a good feel for it but the BN treated bulk M that had P had yeah felt almost exactly like a m which is really Co yeah that would I I would imagine it feeling like that because isn't it supposed to make it softer like yeah and and the May kind of feels like a softer vult I could see that um but yeah I think um I got a package from the cubicle that I haven't opened yet but it got a little bit ripped so I kind of looked inside and I think I see the Boron treated Cube so I'm excited to open it um but yeah I can't really make an unboxing right now because I'm out of a tripod um I actually had um three packages waiting for me when I got home from Hungary so I got the new um new cule jackets now I have a Jillian of them nice but now that they say mow you on the side so I can have my my choice of uh jackets all right there we go oh have you seen oh nice okay now on to the 9 by9 just GNA take a quick break though let's see how long have you been streaming for um not too long it's been like uh 30 minutes or so it's not bad yeah I don't think it uh I'm going to estimate four five hours I would say for the whole stream because the bigger cubes take a bit longer but you should time them doing 9 through 10 9 through 11 relay 9 through 11 oh man that would that would be interesting do I think Gans will make a magnetic 4x4 no num I think uh I haven't been keeping up with gans's news recently but I don't they have a 4x4 I thought not so usually you want a base 4x4 before you get um a magnetic one so but I mean they're also they're also really good at 3x3 so maybe they could do something but I don't know of anything and I haven't heard and so I wouldn't believe that they'd be making one um Charles derome Budapest was great it's good to be back I'm going to my first Maryland competition on Saturday so yeah I've got a comp next Saturday too I'm excited I don't get to go to very many comps so Colorado yeah that's nice it's local they only have like one or two comps a year in Colorado so I went to one in January so you going to Nats oh yeah uh I might not be able to go to Nets really why not uh because next the weekend after I'm going to Worlds so okay and it's not easy to get flights to Fort Wayne Indiana really well at least I I I'd love to have a direct direct flight there but they don't have anything like that okay so yeah I I actually I haven't um booked my hotel yet which is kind of bad because I thought I I did book it with the um like within the block that they reserved for the competition um but it turns out I had just opened it and then I was like I'll do it like tomorrow and then it never happened and I thought I had done it but I never ended up doing it so that really sucks because now there's no spots left oh no so yeah I have to um and the entire Hotel not even just that block the entire hotel is booked now so I have to I have to get a and that's like exactly what I didn't want to happen because at Nat's uh last year problem because I couldn't like I couldn't hang out with friends very much for after the competition because I had to get back to my hotel and I couldn't just like walk back yeah yeah I know we were in the same same hotel for the first couple days yeah that's right yeah Austin Graham my 4x4 PB is uh 2757 um I'm not very good at 4x4 um comp people like and Patrick but and in general just stick with the method don't switch to Hoya like I did and then switch back to Yao and then switch back to Hoya I was I was kind of thinking of trying out Hoya like I learned I learned it sort of and I was like this is inter interesting I was like I kind of want to switch but then I was like no I don't Sol 4x4 enough it's been good being on but I do have to go I have to make key for a special someone um so oh okay all right I will keep the stream on though I will uh talk to you later J.R all right see you later see yeah all right that was fun so I did get started with the 9 by9 solve so we are just going to keep going with this yeah the 9 by9 is much more stable than the 8 by8 so it's also a little bit slower so I don't think I will be having problems with popping or anything I do want to uh stream more this summer I don't know um if I'm GNA like try and set up a schedule or anything because I used to have like a streaming schedule or I'd stream twice a month um but don't really do that anymore and I don't really know what I would want to stream because you know you know Q&A and stuff like that is the obvious thing but I feel like I've done that too much at this point so I'm not sure I do want to I I do I will be streaming more on my second channel so um but those are going to be gaming streams so if you go over there now I have been streaming um or I was streaming pretty often for a couple weeks and I haven't streamed in a in a little bit over there either but I want to do that more this summer as well so yeah mostly though I just want to get really caught up with my with my videos and stuff like that because there's some a lot of reviews that uh need to be made that haven't been made and I do also want to do comparison videos with a lot of the magnetic puzzles um like with their Originals so uh that's something that I'm going to be working on uh I don't know how well that's going to go but we'll give it a shot and then just more reviews in general I did also get um something set up in my garage for modding so I've got some mods that I'm going to be working on so some pretty exciting mods as well uh Alysa the cuber awesome so um you got the puzzles and made a video about them that is awesome I will have to check that out I'm glad they arrived safely what where's the center piece at hold on am I blind oh there it is okay no oh no don't pop please ah okay see if we can force that back in there no please go there you go okay good good good what's the biggest Cube you have popped um probably the 11 by 11 actually because my 13x13 I don't think has ever popped um maybe it has and I'm just not remembering it but the moou 13 x13 is really stable so I don't think it's popped okay doing pink first I don't know why but I always instinctively do like red and blue centers first like for some reason I just gravitate to towards those um I don't know why I do that on 4x4 as well even though it's pretty easy to be uh color neutral with your four centers and ya and kind of like I don't know if color neutral is the right word but like being able to do them in any order but for some reason I just always do like red and blue first any plans on moving to fullframe 4K soon uh so I don't know about fullframe because I kind of want to get the gh5 um but I do want to move to 4K soon I have the computer for it I have the you know I have everything I need for it actually I will need to upgrade my storage capacities um but other than that you know I I I I have what what I uh what I need to do it so uh I just I'm still kind of debating whether or not to switch to Panasonic from Sony um because there's a lot of benefits to the gh5 you know over the um over the like the Sony cameras but the Sony cameras have better low light better autofocus better lens capabilities like you can use more uh lenses with it with the gh5 you really have to get an adapter to use any lens and then you lose features unless you get an expensive one so I don't know I'm kind of torn um gh5 does have 4K 60 which basically solves all of my problems because um you know I don't think YouTube supports it but I still think it would look pretty good um and I think they will support it eventually because people have been saying they prefer 1080 60 over 4K 30 because like the 60 frames per second is is better um but if I get 4k 60 then it's um like I don't have to worry about any of those things plus I think it's a higher frame rate for 1080 so it's like 10801 120 which is nice also uh how much low light do I need for cubing um it's not so much like for cubing but it's just nice to have that feature um because in certain situations um especially at comps it's um you know it's nice to be able to bump up the iso a lot and not have to worry about uh wor worry about it too much um yeah and it's I don't know it's really hard to to choose so are most monitors even capable of displaying 4K so I have a 5k monitor in front of me and a 4k monitor to the left so yes there it's definitely possible uh not a lot of people have 4K monitors um but you know it's like it it'll happen eventually it's one of those things that's like with 80P for a while most people had like standard definition or 720p monitors and people were like oh man um 1080p that's you know a really high resolution who's even going to be able to watch videos and or movies in 1080P and now that's like normal so you know it's um just kind of the the way these things happen um how do you connect your camera to YouTube live stream so I'm using a webcam right now so that's why okay last bar for this s Center cool so four centers down we're on the last two uh Keaton says my next monitor purchase will probably be 1440 or 4K yeah 4K is really nice um and actually the way I have it set up right now with these two monitors is with the scaling they're both um basically the same resolution um well not the same resolution but like uh there's no scaling differences between the two monitors which is pretty nice uh that's a big problem with dealing with my 1080p monitor that I have off to the right is when I drag a window over it gets really huge um which is kind of annoying to deal with [Music] um but yeah I basically just use my um my two higher resolution monitors it's really hard to move back to a 1080p monitor after using 4K so like when I use my 1080p monitor now and try to read something on it it's just not very nice to look at um and for like reading text and stuff like that and just videos in general so yeah it's it's like once you go 4K you can't go back and that's that's what I've heard with cameras as well it's like once you start shooting in 4k it's really hardest to go back to 1080p so yeah just 4K videos even when they're rendered in 1080P just look a lot better so yeah I would really like to start working with 4K footage but it's just the whole thing is expensive the gh5 is quite an expensive camera dang it screwed that up um there is DG cuber in here oh man what's up DG Clapper if you want to join the stream that'd be cool kind of looking for uh for some more people um oh man looks like he'd be interested all right I think I have him on Skype um I do all right I will send him the link there we go yay okay so far uh seven and eight okay or um yeah seven and eight so I I just got to edges on the nine by9 so nice how long do you think that's gonna take I don't know it's been um it's been about 53 minutes since I started the stream so okay I I'm I would assume another hour or two yeah through the rest well I think I'll be around for a while so cool awesome yeah I didn't really um I didn't really know if anyone would be able to join the stream because I'm doing this kind of early in the day yeah I'm not sure who is like on summer break or not okay yeah I'm not I'm not on summer break but I don't know I just I get up early kind of no matter what okay cool huh for some yeah I don't know why my camera isn't working I'm gonna try just closing the tab and coming back okay yeah oh awesome okay good to get better okay same oh you have a comp yeah I where think they have pyramix but I didn't sign up okay um it's in pleo okay local area um hold on this piece popped out oh this is annoying does that happen a lot on the Ean big cubes um so it h it's been happening a few times I I think it might be because I have these cubes a bit loose right now yeah plus I like to go like pretty fast so I usually I just kind of I don't take time to line everything up yeah so it can happen um man it's been a while since I've talked to you though I think it was since um the the podcast yeah yeah I don't think we've talked since the podcast yeah I haven't even really like I don't really get on Skype that often to but um yeah I really only talk to Nathan anymore yeah but I want to uh I want to like get on Skype more often this summer yeah it's it's hard during school but yeah oh yeah you're you're you're out of school right yep yeah okay I still have some time finished last Wednesday okay nice and this piece doesn't want to go yeah I don't get out until like like three more weeks or something but really yeah yeah I've got some time left when do you start at the beginning of the semester um like early September okay so I get back early August okay so I get out out earlier that makes sense no this is really being annoying right now why do these pieces have such long wings like the edges have big wings sticking out makes it really hard to get it back in yeah I hate pops on big cubes like they just ruin s yeah I had that at a comp like two weeks ago I was borrowing uh Dana ye's 6x6 and it was a good Cube but like I just turned like really roughly so it it popped on one solve it was like I I spent like a solid 30 seconds like getting the piece back in yeah I I can't I can't remember if I've ever had a pop like an official during an official solve if I've ever got a pop I I don't think so really that's that is lucky usually I try to be more careful when I do official solves because I know that a pop would just ruin it so yeah I had in um in my second competition I was still using a Rubik's brand like just a store bought like not even like a a DIY or anything and it popped okay so like and Rubik's Brands that's like the the entire like opposite of their purpose really weird for Rubik's brand a PO yeah I don't know it wase with the new ones now like the new ones are like designed to not pop yeah I think I think the new ones area a lot better in that regard but I don't know I tried to get a piece out and I actually ended up bending it a little bit oh yeah like on the new ones so I figured it' be best to just leave it leave it be I think they made it that way because they didn't want people to like take them apart to to put them back together like like I think they were trying to get people to actually learn how to solve it yeah I guess it's like the same reason they put tiles on it instead of like stickers makes sense I I always thought that people were joking when they said they peeled the stickers off but one kid at school one time like brought me one of his to solve and all of stickers were like taken off and put in random locations really and you so you had like you had like stickers of like two orange pieces or something like that you know oh man I was like why would you do this yeah yeah wait if you're gonna take the stickers off and not even solve it yeah what's the point I don't know what he did it was the most messed up Cube I'd ever seen one person brought in he said he had peeled the stickers off so many times that they lost their stickiness and fell off and so what he did is he took like a piece of paper and like cut up little squares and colored them in with like different colored Sharpies and taped them on oh man and um that was that was weird that's pretty funny yeah I don't think I've ever met somebody who's like actually proven to me that they've peeled the stickers off I mean like so many people have said it but I don't know I haven't like actually seen a cube that's been unfortunate enough to go through that MH yeah that's I thought the design of the new Rubik's Brands was kind of Genius it's like yeah they make it like unable I guess yeah that is smart because like you know really the only people who are buying Rubik's brands at this point are people who can't solve it so yeah you know at least not yet but four SS left until a average of a thousand on P cool I don't know if I've ever been able to like keep a session going for that long usually I just reset after a while yeah that's what usually happens to me too because like I'll get frustrated and just restart the session but this one I decided I'm just going to keep it going as long as I can cool yeah I really need to start practicing again though I haven't um like done a session of of 3x3 in quite a while like I solve it for videos and stuff like that but yeah besides that I don't really practice but I'm going to for my comp I'm gonna have to because I don't want to just like do horrible yeah yeah school's been super busy this semester so I have been very low on time uh but yeah I really want to get like get back into cubing again yeah it's it's a good hobby okay so I finished that average of a th it's a 344 so I'm okay with that cool I'm gonna try to get it better my PB is 330 for an average of a thousand so I can I can do like slightly better than what I have okay I don't know if I've ever done a full average of a thousand for any event I don't know if have the patience for that yeah I mean for short events like PIR it's not like that hard like this is probably about like maybe like like five days [Music] total so how's the uh podcast been going it's been going well actually um tonight we're going to record um an one I think I think we might be recording that at Nats but I haven't confirmed that with him but he's gonna be on in the future and I think at some point we're we also want to have um Sean from speed crebe review on so okay yeah that'd be cool yeah so like those our next plans guests cool oh yeah I got no parody nice that's that's surprising for like a really big Cube it seems like yeah that's interesting like I've never actually seen like a a big YouTuber actually give shout outs to anybody who's asked you know yeah well I mean I think shout outs like the way when I think of a shout out I think of just like just saying their name just being like shout out this person but like you know people I've seen people promote other people before you know yeah there we go 9 by9 done see a while ago I don't know if I'm ever gonna do this but I was considering um just like because I've gotten so many people and I'm sure you have to just asking for like shout outs or like to promote their Channel or something when like you know they just started like the day before so so I was thinking I want to make like just some really like sarcastic video where I just like read off everybody's name who's ever asked me for a shout out like really quickly oh yeah yeah just like you know at the end of The infomercials when they say it really fast yeah yeah do that for like five minutes of reading people's names that would be I would I would watch that for sure I'm I'm I've been considering doing that I don't know I I've um been taking screenshots now whenever like people ask oh really yeah yeah um I've been taking screenshots for a while now of just really funny comments that I that's what I do too yeah so I'm kind of like trying to but the problem is I turned off notifications a while ago because it was getting too like too crazy so I haven't added anything to it for a while yeah basically just uh because I wanted to turn notifications on my on for my phone for like when people upload but then it was like if I turn on notifications for my phone it would also turn on notifications for comments so like I didn't realize that at first though but like one day I was in class and I had like just uploaded a video and my phone was just like blowing up with comment I was just like gez why is my phone keep like buzzing open and I see like you know 400 notifications from YouTube I'm like oh crap that's I was just like all right never mind yeah yeah I haven't gotten to that point in in my YouTube career where comments are coming that quickly I mean when I first upload a video they do but like you know on a on a daily basis it's not like that crazy yeah oh yeah but the cumulation of the accumulation of all my old videos people that still like still comment on yeah be pretty crazy yeah I find it weird like when when there's a video that I uploaded like forever ago and somebody like revives it and and they just comment on it I still get comments on my super old videos yeah um I don't know why but like I guess yeah and see I've I've gotten comments before where people are like um like this video sucks like on a really old video and then and then like somebody replies and they're like yeah DG cubes is usually really good and it's like that's because this video is four years old yeah uh I still get uh just daily comments of people talking about my voice like that's I think the only reason people go back to watch my old videos like I'll get people will comment that they're just like I just came back to see how much his voice changed yeah I get comments still like from one video to the next there will be a bunch of comments saying like wow this guy's voice got a lot deeper and you know like it's very similar from video to video it's just that if you go back four years you're gonna notice a difference yeah people are telling me that my voice is still dropping even though it's not I'm just like I don't know how you're hearing that but yeah yeah it's it's it stopped dropping like six months ago yeah I think mine kind of stopped too like it's it's probably slightly dropping a little bit but I don't know over like the last year or so it's remained mean I went to a video from like six months ago and I didn't really hear any difference so yeah yeah it's it's really crazy though to just to um to see like the progression of for um like a lot of us younger YouTubers yeah like I went back and was watching some of Derpy's old videos yeah I was really shocked because I don't remember him like I don't remember him having that high of a voice yeah I know what you mean yeah it's weird it was pretty cool though you know I like going on those like Nostalgia trips every now and then yeah I remember I was like I was like uh you know when I first started on YouTube like you were you were a big inspiration of mine like you know for having a channel and everything because like you know you were you were young too and it was like you know if he can do it I can do it you know but um but yeah I remember like I I watched like okay you and crazy bad cuber were like the two biggest Inspirations for when I started and yeah I remember I don't know if you remember this but there was one time I sent in a challenge to you for like cubes or something and it was yeah yeah I think I yeah it was some kind of like pyramix average or something and I remember when when you uploaded the video I remember like freaked out and I like showed my parents like hey I'm on Jr cubber's Channel wow yeah that was that was a big deal yeah I remember uh Adam won one of my contests one time yeah I remember that and he uh he reminded me of that and I was like oh my gosh that's right yeah he won what did he win from you I think it was like a um I don't remember what he won but I think it was for the 20,000 subscriber contest or something like that it was a it was a video challenge yeah um yeah yeah I remember that was really um it really crazy because like I I remember like when I started seeing him with you guys and I was like I recognize this guy from somewhere I I couldn't put a finger on it oh that's so funny yeah yeah so yeah I've never done a video contest or anything but um you know i' I've always felt like it would take way too long to judge so yeah I got I think it was for the 50,000 away I did a video contest I think I got like 150 or so wow um it took me five six days to judge all of them to watch through them all and like you know choose a winner it took quite some time yeah I feel like especially once you have it narrowed down to like a couple then it must be like really hard to decide yeah I don't know I decided at this point now to just not do any more video giveaways because yeah it would be um it would just take too long especially now it would be even more entries yeah just it would just not be worth it yeah because I I was just like sitting there for hours and hours on end like watching through everything else like oh my gosh this is taking forever like yeah yeah you know um one time I remember Allison um on April Fool's Day one year she uploaded a video where she said she was doing a th subscriber giveaway but it was like really obviously fake cuz she said she was giving away like an Al long V1 and a 13x13 or something like that yeah and and then at the end of the video she said the way you enter is by um making a video about your worst April Fool's Day prank and but the thing is a couple people fell for it and actually made videos oh no yeah so then she had to like tell them oh um yeah this was a joke wow oh yeah I was just um uh just thinking of the April fools thing that we did this year yeah um if you guys don't know um that whole like April fools thing was basically orchestrated by DG like he did all the planning for it so yeah that was what 10 channels that yeah I think I think we had 10 yeah it was like 10 or 11 I forgot that was really awesome I I really enjoyed that yeah I like doing like massive April Fool's Day collaborations like there was one last year too that was that one went pretty well D we all um I think it was like seven channels were in on it and we all like did reviews of the Dion zansi and they all used the same exact script oh wow that's awesome I don't actually I don't know if I remember that um yeah I think I may have like watched one or two of the videos but yeah I don't know if I really realized what was going on yeah yeah a lot of people didn't like there were a lot of people who were like QB time copied [Music] you and then and then it's like they were uploaded at the same exact time on April Fool's Day so yeah yeah but that April Fool's Day prank this year that was fun that was funny though because me and Nathan both like were really confused about the time zone thing oh we uploaded our videos early like we were both in a Skype call just chilling out and then we're were like oh man it's time and we uploaded our videos cuz like we both thought that it was like at a different time and we were like oh wait oh no and then we like quickly had to just like take him down yeah oh that's funny yeah time zones are very annoying for like collaborations like that yeah yeah I was like um it was like the middle of the day for Nathan it was like the middle of the night for me that's funny yeah he was um I think it was like almost April 2nd by the time that the video actually went up like for him oh really yeah huh yeah because he's like 14 hours ahead of me at least okay so yeah that was really fun I want to do more collaborations in the future yeah if you want to was actually a collaboration that I was thinking about doing at Nats are you going this year I am yeah so I think a couple of my friends and I wanted to do this and you you're welcome to join in if if it ends up happening where um because you said you said you were taking screenshots of like really dumb comments right yeah so I was thinking it would be really fun to just like sit in a circle have a camera set up and just take turns reading like our stupidest comments that would be yeah that would be funny yeah I was going through Facebook messages the other day as well because I realized that I never ever check my Facebook messages like from my Facebook page oh man there's probably a lot of stuff there and I through some of it and one person was just like being really nice to me he was like um he was just like hey what's going on and he like sent a couple messages like a few months apart this was started like back in 2015 when he started like sending messages what and then all of a sudden randomly he just starts like cussing me out and he's like why do you never respond it's so funny yeah people I had somebody recently um on an April Fool's Day video from 2015 that I did they they were like um they C they were cursing me out and they were like you don't even know how to solve a Rubik's Cube and and and like you know just a string of curse wordss before that and so so I replied saying something like uh check out any of my other videos I can self a cube and then they're like oh sorry like oh yeah I love it when people like say something mean and then you respond and then they're like oh my gosh I love your videos I'm soorry I didn't say anything yeah people legit don't realize that you can see the comments on your own videos yeah that's that's I've seen it happen several times um yeah it's really funny people are just like oh no that wasn't you weren't supposed to read that I'm just trying to act T YouTube comments are great yeah let's see what's going on in the chat is that a super Rubik's Cube wow that's it is DG Cube make a joke um okay let me think of one real quick yeah I don't have any Spinners nice nice did you the clock okay sure let's go here we go I'm gonna do it I actually have a session of clock SES in here this is a terrible angle but I'm just trying to get it so they can see this this clock oh this is not solved yet let me solve it so I can scramble it yeah okay the whole I was just thinking the whole fidget spinner like Trend now yeah has just gotten like way too far out of control yeah it's kind of ridiculous yeah like pretty much every single kid at my school like I remember like on the last day of school just like walking through the halls and just like being amazed at how many people had a fidget spinner like that they were just spinning around in their hands I was like why yeah yeah yeah I don't have one yet and I probably never will just because I don't know I generally um I got more sent to me by the cubicle like the ones yeah um so I will make a video about them and everything but yeah I don't really plan on uh you know doing uh more a bunch more fidget spinner videos yeah I was kind of thinking about I was talking to Nathan about this because he got a lot of subscribers by doing that like 3x3 fidget spinner video I it got featured in one of those like top five lists from like those channels that like do like top five craziest fidget Spinners and stuff like and uh he actually he got a lot of subscribers from it really I was thinking I was like maybe I should cash in on the trend and like and like make make I was thinking of doing like a um making like a one by one by3 fit like spinner because that would like fit in your hands nicely and stuff like that and it would just you like twist it around as well as spin it um and I was thinking of doing that but then it was like a couple more days passed and it was already cringy and I was just like you know what never mind yeah I I would kind of like to just somehow cash in on that too yeah just like make some really click baity video like $1,000 fidget spinner yeah and I don't know like a fidget spinner and then like I don't know I have yeah that's exactly what the title was on that video that was like it was like $1 fidget spinner versus $10,000 fidget spinner yeah must see you know yeah I don't know oh I I made this I don't know this isn't a fidget spinner but it's kind of like it spins it's I made it out of paper so those um paper one by one by twos and stuff like that were uh the First puzzles that I ever made when I first got into cubing like that I didn't have any money to like buy cubes so I would just make those because that's like all I could do really and it was I I did it for months before I could like started getting actual puzzles that's funny yeah I I made this like like a week or two ago just because I was really bored in the morning and I was like I don't have anything to do so let's make a cube yeah I I got really good at it like I I was like um I had like these templates that I had made for like making the blocks and stuff like that it was it was pretty fun and then I started experimenting with like wooden blocks like making like better versions of it and then um yeah but then eventually my uh I just started getting actual puzzles yeah yeah I I think it's it's pretty fun to do though I feel like it it would be really cool to make like a really long one like one by one by like 10 or something so I thought about that as well I was like I wonder how long I could make a string of these yeah um yeah I think it'd be kind of fun to do that with like like an actual puzzle as well like see how long of a string you could make CU you can basically just like take like 3x3 corners and just like string them all together with like screws and stuff like that yeah I wonder how many of those you could do yeah that would be interesting like I've seen I think I forgot who made it maybe Oscar like a 2 by two by4 or something crazy like that yeah and it's like like really long I wonder like what the biggest like type of cube like that is before it like gets like unstable I think he made a um 2 by two by like 23 or something like that but it was like it was um really small because of the way he designed it it was almost like like it was really wide at the middle and then it kind of like got smaller as it went outwards it was really strange and it was it was pretty small it was like um all the layers were really thin but I think for like actual cubic size pieces I did see like a 2X two by 14 um that's yeah one time I think might be the biggest I think that's the one I saw mhm yeah that's that's pretty cool though oh yeah that's right uh he did make a 3X3 by 27 yeah yeah there's the pancake cube right that's cubic yeah see that's really smart like I have I have a 3X3 by9 so like I can picture how tiny those layers are like each one is a third of this I think I think he uh if you look at the specifications each one is like two or three millimeters yeah like that's insane yeah I just really want one of those like just just to mess around with like it seems really fun yeah I really wish you could still like buy shapeways puzzles for a reasonable price yeah yeah yeah I don't think I've ever yeah I've never gotten a shapeways puzzle before I I wanted to get like a one by two by3 um and I went on there the other day and it was like $35 to get one really I was just like you know that's not ridiculous yeah that's just ridiculous at that point yeah like it's I remember before the price increase it was like 10 bucks I was like yeah I can like justify that but it was it was just really annoying yeah I mean like there's also always the option like my school has a 3D printer but it's not going to be like the same quality you know oh yeah so like if I need to I could always just print something from there but I don't know yeah I wish my school had a 3D printer but you know they don't even have Wi-Fi so I can imagine yeah my school actually doesn't have Wi-Fi but we have like two 3D printers wow it's really weird my school has awful Wi-Fi it's like so bad yeah yeah if you want if you want it to be good at all you have to use the admin Wi-Fi okay which you're not really like allowed to do but everyone still does it and the teachers don't really care because they know that it sucks yeah so it's just like yeah whatever yeah at my school it's like we have I mean there's Wi-Fi for like the school computers but if you bring in your own laptop or something you can't use the school's Wi-Fi really yeah I mean like a lot of people like know the password but like they change it a lot anyway so it doesn't really you know yeah well the thing is they change the passwords every um every semester but they only like tell what the password is for the One You're supposed to use and so it's always like a couple months before someone figures out what the admin password is but then once everyone does it's like it's shared around to everybody in this schol yeah let's see what the chat's saying DG cubes do a cube gun I actually tried to do that one time and then like I I didn't I couldn't figure it out how how would a scube gun work have you well you've seen um have you seen colorful pockets's video on that like um the well the the why non cubers are original video they had the scube gun thing oh I don't know if I've seen that okay yeah that video like they had they had like a scube where um I like okay it's it's basically just like a skit being like hey this is why non cubers are stupid it's from like really long ago but um they uh they had a skube and there was like a non cuber who walked up to them like hey can I try that and then they just like like pop the center piece out of the skube by like squeezing it a certain way oh that's right oh I have seen that yeah it's like okay I think he I think Andrew posted in a comment somewhere how to make one or maybe he did it maybe he mentioned it in a video or something I don't remember and I tried it and I I wasn't able to get it working like I used a landland cube too because like that's what I think that's what he said you should use but I don't know okay sometimes caps don't like to stay on very well oh it's okay I almost lost one one time there we go if I popped my new 4x4 or no I popped my new 4x4 and I can't put it together should I just throw it out no no that would be very bad get it back together you'll do it eventually video calls I'm like hey uh how do you solve this o please help yeah is is like it's kind of like those um what was that Meme that was a couple months ago the um like what's the what's the algorithm to get Cube shape on square one oh yeah that's like Vaguely Familiar to me yeah where they'll like send a video of like a 5x5 that's like horribly popped or they're just like I remember one time when I was in Middle School I had a friend who was a cuber but like not really that into it like he could solve a 3X3 and I brought a square one in one time and he was like like I Had parody and he was like oh I can solve that cuz he thought it was like a uerm on 3x3 and he was like you just do F2 Urie rrie Prim l or whatever like that beginner super and I was like no that doesn't work on square one remember the first time I bought a scube I had no idea how it turned so uh I thought that maybe it was like something like where the corners could turn like just just the corner pieces not the whole like Corner section but when I first got it I tried to like kind of almost move it like a 3X3 in a way and flew out of my hands I'm like that's funny because I would like I sat there like the whole time I would be waiting for it I would like sit there and like stare at the picture and just like how does this move yeah yeah yeah I know what you mean yeah it's like it is really hard to to like understand until you actually have one yeah yeah it's what happens every time I give uh or like give a scube to a non- cuber they always drop it yeah same FPS out of their hands yeah I don't think yeah I haven't brought a scube in public for a while for that reason alone yeah it seems like non-cubers just are really good at dropping puzzles I have had my cubes Dro so many times like yeah same I had a 3X3 that I would just like say okay this is the cube I'm gonna bring to school like this is like my school Cube and um I like at by the end of the semester the stickers were so like scuffed up and the plastic was so scratched because it' been dropped so many times yeah I don't get how people are so clumsy with like well because they try to think they're cool by like trying to be like as fast as like speed cubers and they do that whole like number where they're like yeah yeah and they always drop it like they'll do it it'll literally like only turn it like two times and back to you like solve it yeah I noticed I I just like handed a CU to my dad a while ago while we were just like sitting around the house and he was like scrambling it but he was like only doing like like the same thing over and over it was like L Prime R and then like a rotation and then lpre R and just like that forever like he he's he did something different somewhere along the way but I I was thinking to myself like eventually if he keeps this up it's just gonna solve itself yeah I that one of my friends did that and he was just like oh my gosh I solved it like you were just doing the same thing over and over he would like in he was like insisting he was like no no no no I actually did it yeah I think one of my one of my favorite non cuber in cters is when I was in Middle School there was this kid um he was a nice kid but he he didn't know anything about cubing and he he saw that video like that really old video about how if you do two moves over and over the cube will solve itself oh yeah yeah yeah I remember that yeah so he was doing that and like he he asked me if he could borrow my Cube so he could try to solve it and I scrambled it for him and he was doing these two moves over and over and I told him that's that's not going to work that's not how cubes work and he would just reply every single time with the phrase if it's algorithm like oh my gosh like that's not grammatically correct and he's just wrong yeah I I once had like a 10 or 15 minute argument with this person about why their brother cannot solve a cube in two seconds in in what about why their brother cannot solve a cube in two seconds oh it got to the point of me like showing them the world record video and they're like he can solve it faster than that see the thing is like all these people have these brothers and friends who can solve it like so much faster than Felix like I don't get it yeah you think they would go to a competition one time and show off their skills but yeah never happens yeah if theoretically one of these people was real and they show up to a competition like that would be that that would be very interesting like they would just destroy the world records yeah they just like come to a competition all of a sudden their first Like official solve ever oh three seconds what yeah some kid from North Korea who's like not even allowed to like go on YouTube yeah I love seeing like cubers just come out of nowhere and get World Records yeah like that's happens very few times but it's always like really like exciting when it happens oh man my friend Kyle has one of those oh he does have one of those I watched that live stream that was really funny my friend Kyle has a lot of those talk about the I'm from Nebraska meme so what is that have you seen that uh I haven't I have that's the first time I've heard of it okay so all over Facebook like starting like yesterday everybody's been saying I'm from or I'm in Nebraska just it's just like cubers or I don't know I mean okay I only go on Facebook for the cubing part of it so I I don't really know but it's like very common in like cubic friends and stuff okay but like they're just like all these posts like I'm in Nebraska I don't know I completely missed out on this one yeah that's I have no idea let's see what people are saying in the chat I just got a 5.24 PB single for 3 by3 guys nice do you know this singer Michael Jackson yes I do know Michael Jackson how do you do the alpha perm the alpha perm someone just put an alpha that's pretty cool TG Notice Me Senpai noticed someone's just saying banana with a bunch of extra syllables like banana Nana Nana Jr solve your pinks uh not on stream that would be a multi-day multi-part stream really oh yeah cuz they're they don't turn well either right it they turn okay but um it just takes a long time to solve yeah I remember one person uploaded a full saw video and it was like eight or nine hours long really yeah I wonder how long that would like I I want to just do that just to see how long it would take me yeah I I remember uh before I actually got my petaminx I there was one person at Nationals who had one and I spent about two or three hours just solving like three centers really yeah and all of a sudden I was like oh wow I am like at Nationals yeah or I could be like doing things I'm sitting here solving edings yeah like all right see you later yeah see like I wonder it must be really exponential because like on Mega minks I average like a minute 10 or so and on Giga minks I'm like maybe 13 minutes so then like tering must be like a couple hours maybe an hour or something yeah tering takes a few hours and I did saw the Ping once and it took like like I said a couple weeks like on and off solving I did like a center a day so like two weeks for the centers and then I did like Edge pairing which took a few more days like it was a long time it really wears out your hands yeah I can imagine like even doing the giging so like my hands are tired afterwards MH yeah I'm really excited to see if Shang sha will release a petaminx that would be cool it would be a lot better than the they did they did a tering right yes okay and they did the elite killerink as well yeah or or whatever it should be called I guess yby m yeah actually it's right I haven't made a video about it yet but I have it right here oh most recent 6x6 I have is the wooa okay yeah um is that likei too I haven't I I don't think I have the wayi um I don't remember ever getting it okay so yeah the wooa is really slow though okay so I'm gonna try like I know I'm getting some lubicle one pretty soon that's supposed to like be pretty good so I'm G to try it on there I think it might be something to do with the plastic and not so much the lubricant um I think it just needs to be broken in a lot but I just I don't like 6 by6 enough to do like the amount of solves that it needs yeah that 10 by1 is almost done yep here we go nice there we go nice okay one more uh it's been two hours or so since we started the stream and now we are on the biggest one wow I wonder how long how long did the 10 by10 take like that didn't seem like it took to um I think it was about maybe 45 minutes or so um so yeah man I'm going to take a little break though my hands are getting a bit sore that's a good idea any tips on learning full PLL um just like do one a month and you'll be done in less than two [Music] years I'm scared the comp I'm going to has Lucas Drew and Blake Thompson registered oh man well if you're trying to win then I would be scared yeah I don't go to coms trying to win yeah me neither I I think I Podium I podiumed one time ever I got like second place in one time okay um but that was at a local comp and I think I got like a 4.5 average oh and that was enough to make get you podium in two by two um yeah I've I've always been really close to poding him in a lot of events like at local comps a lot of times fourth place in most events yeah that's happened to me that happened to me a lot like before I had podiums in pyramix for the first time I had like like at least like three fourth places yeah it happens a lot with 4x4 mainly because like local comps I go to there's always three fast people and then like next one down so it's like the three fast people are the one that Podium and everything oh yeah interesting when people just like sweep podiums yeah like that doesn't happen so much in the Northeast because like you have like a lot of really fast people but there was one comp recently where it was like the same people on like every Podium yeah I think I went to a comp once where guy got first place in every event really yeah that's impressive or like everything but one or something like that it was it was pretty cool that is really impressive or at least he podiumed and everything maybe not first and everything but yeah it was it's pretty cool you get a lot of uh a lot of awards yeah the most I've ever gotten I think is three podiums I remember there was one comp last summer that had like a lot of weird events which is like the only events I'm good at so like I podum I podiumed in PIRA and mega and I think feed pretty sure so I don't know yeah the comp I'm going to I think has clock okay but I don't know how to solve clock so I didn't sign for it I think it was um basically for people who want to qualify for Nationals okay that's what it seemed like yeah clock is really easy to learn though like I could teach you in I think I I used to I think I used to know how to solve it but um it was just like it's been a long time since I actually have solved it oh yeah I'm I'm scrolling through Facebook right now and I'm seeing a lot of things about Nebraska yeah I don't I don't know what that is yeah I have no idea I'm like totally lost on this one yeah like in cubic friend someone said like guys which state are yall in like everyone is yeah people are people are saying in um in like I forget which African country it was but there were gorillas um and they were like go they're like endangered so they were like talking about like you know how to help them and stuff anyway so there was one named kaboko and kaboko died at one point in the movie and so so our grade turned that into a meme just like about kaboko and like there was this um there was this email chain with like thousands of emails in it just like my my whole grade which was basically just like a meme chain and it was called kaboko and then like the harambe thing comes around we've had this dead want to rethink that yeah that's funny yeah people like whenever people end up in some kind of argument where they just keep saying bigger numbers it always ends up like infinity plus infinity plus infinity yeah those kind of yeah I remember those kind of arguments because people would always just like add on one and it's like okay you can just keep doing that forever yeah like see what I find really interesting is they tell you you can't divide by zero right and then like once you take calculus you realize you can theoretically divide by zero I mean you can't you can't really but you get infinity when you divide by zero like you know it's it's kind of like I get why they say you can't because they don't want to confuse little kids but like yeah there are ways to divide by zero and like kind of understand it yeah I remember in kindergarten knew what a googlex was yeah and um so I was trying to explain it to all of my kindergarten um friends yeah who were like having this argument about the biggest number and they were just like what's the biggest number you can think of I'm like a Google Plex and they're like what funny yeah I remember I had this book I might still have it if I have it up here I'm gonna be really happy um yeah here it is this book can you count to a Google oh yeah yeah this is a good book it's like saying all these crazy things about the number and like showing you just like how big it is yeah it's like it's insane yeah I remember trying to explain to someone that a Google is like a one with a 100 zeros after it and so they just like oh so you just count to a 100 like nope not how it works that's funny oh so to count to 100 then you just have to really count to two right well then and so I was like I finally got them to understand that and I was like okay so Google Plex is a one with a Google zeros after it so they're like oh so 100 zeros like no you're still not following wait was this kindergarten or is this like um no This was um like what are you doing and then all of a sudden he'll just play my first YouTube video and he's just he just doesn't say anything I'm just like I just like stop talking I'm just like fair enough yeah I feel like like my friends at school like see my YouTube channel is like PE people in like everybody in my grade knows that I have that which usually they don't like it's not brought up too much but like fortun Al I don't think they've seen my old videos so they don't have that to go by but I don't know the moment one of them finds it that's going to be very very hard to deal with yeah I it happened one time when someone was just asking about what my channel was I told them and then for some reason the first video that came up when they searched my channel was like some 5-year-old video and they clicked on it and it was just like hey guys J cuber I was like oh no oh no no and then I tried to to turn them off and they're just like no no this is amazing yeah it's so funny I don't know like honestly I want to make all my old videos private at this point but like I don't because some of them still get views you know oh yeah for sure I would see a huge hit in views if I like like private at all my old videos yeah I would like to but you know I can't yeah like I don't want people to still see them but if they're getting views I'm not going to stop people from watching it yeah I I deleted a couple of my videos one time and I I I can't remember why I did it like I had some kind of reason as to why I deleted them but now I wish I hadn't yeah yeah I've never deleted videos I've only made them private okay yeah I I see that's what I do now I've done that to a couple videos yeah um but yeah I I never delete them everyone's saying dab oh man man I can't dab like I mean I I can I can do the general motion but I can't make it look cool oh yeah there's some people who can like some people who just like when they dab it's like oh that was cool yeah some people some people are just like really cringey yeah yeah like yeah I I can't do it I mean if I ever dab it's always ironically because I know I can't pull it off well usually I mean for the most part it's done ironically yeah yeah some people can actually pull it off though and then it's like okay that's that's pretty good there was uh I went to my uh School graduation this this year uh because one of my good friends was graduating yeah and um surprising amount of people dabbed as they uh as they went to get their their deploy really like one person he had like a beach ball and he like launched it into the crowd and then dabbed it was hilarious my friend that was graduating he's on the uh he's on the basketball team so he went he's like six foot five and he uh so he he dunked on the principal it was awesome the Dude Looks so scared he was like what are you doing pretty funny yeah you know I hate like like okay I like the idea of graduating but I hate the graduation practice really that's like that have you ever had to do that uh no okay yeah so like when I was in Middle School we had to do that and basically what they do is they sit you in a room for like two hours while they try to get like a room of eighth graders to sit down and like be quiet and and then like they get you in a certain order and they put you in like rows and then you just stand there for like two more hours like waiting until it's time to walk and then you practice walking into the like cafeteria or wherever the the graduation is then you practice sitting down and going up to accept your diploma and then you practice walking outside of the building and it's just like so ridiculous and the amount of times we had to do it was ridiculous really like yeah it's not hard to walk like we all had it the first time yeah yeah I don't know it's it wasn't fun yeah I don't know if there was a graduation practice for for my school but um yeah it's not hard to just walk down a stage and you know shake some people's hands yeah I've screwed up on shaking people's hands a couple times though oh yeah I have as well I'm a very awkward person in real life and it's just yeah same it's like go to shake someone's hand it's like oh that didn't work at all yeah I did that with Sean at Princeton if you watch the video like that handshake was so awkward yeah there was there have been like when I've podiums I just completely miss somebody trying to give me a handshake like I just like I don't know completely am oblivious to it and then I watch the video back and I'm like oh they were I just left them hanging yeah it's I I'm I'm a pretty awkward person in real life too like that I've noticed I I bump into stuff a lot oh yeah same I just don't know where I'm going and I just end up bumping into like people or or walls wall yeah like what am I doing somebody said what schools worry about 1% dropouts 1% grades 1% drug use 97% number two pencil for standardized oh my gosh yeah my uh my history teacher was very very like strict about that like when we did our whenever we did our test he would like provide pencils for everyone and like made everyone put their pencils away because you know we might have like written something on the inside of our pencil give us an advantage that's so funny yeah I in a couple years ago there was somebody who they uh they took a biology test in my school they were in my school I go to public school same I go to like a small public school though so like like you have to like I don't know it's it's very small but it's technically a public school yeah same for me as well Me Myself and piie is the inventor of the fidget spinner wow apparently the actual inventor of the fidget spinner is like not getting any money from it because yeah I heard about that yeah their idea got like stolen or something yeah same with the fidget cubes as well I guess um the ones that are like being sold and mass-produced now are not the actual like original ones from Kickstarter yeah you know um Adam actually like he backed that Kickstarter so he got yeah so I remember hearing about it but I didn't think too much of it um yeah but but then it just got popular and yeah someone said DG what will be your next video um so okay I think I recorded like a month ago a draw my cubing life inspired by J.R cuber but um but yeah so I I start I was editing that like crazy and then I just kind of like stopped editing because I had other videos to get out and like school and stuff but I'm gonna try to finish that up like today and tomorrow maybe and get that out soon oh yeah I remember um I wanted to do like a Draw My Life video but of course that wouldn't work so I was like uh I got to figure how to figure out how to do this because this is trendy and so I I I figured I'd do that and actually I did it in less than a day like I did it I did it I scripted the whole thing I planned out what all of the like the slides were going to be what everything I was going to draw and then I recorded it and edited it like all in one day oh wow that's that's really impressive I don't know how I did it I think I just spent whole day working on it basically so yeah that's really legit yeah but that was like a long time ago when like I had that much Focus to make a video like now I just get distracted way too easily same yeah same oh yeah somebody reminded me what I was um what I was talking about so yeah it's just a really quick story there was a kid in my biology class a while ago who they thought he got a zero on this Biotest um it was on a Scantron and turned out he he filled it out in pen so oh that's why yeah yeah people who um I've seen several people who get a zero on a test because they use a pen even though it's like written all over the scantrons that you're supposed to use a pencil yeah then the next time they do a test they use a pen again like what are you thinking yeah how do people screw that up like they always say use a pencil yeah like even they'll even provide pencils and they still use a pen yeah I don't get it what's your favorite puzzle other than the pure minks um my second favorite event is probably 3 by3 just because 3 by3 but I don't know I also like Mega Ms and feet so yeah those those are my favorite events I mean feet is in its own puzzle though so I don't know I'll go with 3x3 how about you what's what's your favorite event oh man um probably 3x3 but uh there's some sometimes I'll get into more like big cubes and but usually it's just kind of like for short periods of time like overall 3 by3 is what I'll like practice most yeah if you ever skipped a grade I haven't have you I have not I mean in a sort of a way I guess because like I kind of skipped a lot of stuff through high school because okay because now I'm taking college classes yeah I've skipped I've skipped classes before but I've never skipped a grade one time I skipped class because I had gotten No Sleep the night before and um like I had first period off so I was just in the cafeteria just chilling and um I fell asleep and then I woke up up like 3 hours later like almost right before lunch started and I was like I just slept through all of my morning classes like kidding me funny I've done that like I think twice actually really um yeah it was really bad um and my mom would like text me she's like why why did I just get a notification that you were absent for like two classes I'm just like oh you know i' um I I don't know I I fell asleep she's like what yeah I've never fallen asleep in school before although I remember my first day of high school I was like just so nervous about like being in high school and like the nerves got to the point where I like was like ready to just fall asleep it was it was like really weird like I felt my head just like falling down and I had to pick it back up yeah I remember I remember I know that feeling when your head just like feels like it weighs 100 pounds yeah really hard to keep it off the table yeah that's happened many times but I I'm very bad about going to sleep so there's been I have I've stayed up like all night many times okay which results in me generally often falling asleep in my boring history class yeah especially like the last couple weeks of school like I finished all of my work early for the class so I just kind of clocked out and I just kind of showed up for my attendance and then fell asleep nice yeah I've never yeah I I get a pretty good night sleep every night I like I like pride myself that I go to that I go to bed at 10: every night when possible which is like most of the time so I'm I'm proud of that yeah that's pretty cool I I'm I'm trying to go to work on going to bed earlier but 10 still seems too early yeah yeah it's it's definitely like way earlier than the average person but I don't know I haven't I I think on average like um I I think like teenagers usually on average Start begin falling or begin starting to get tired around 11 like that's the average so yeah you see a lot of like midnight too but yeah yeah that's like most of my friends I mean I have like one friend in particular that always like tries to go to bed early um but he needs like 10 hours of sleep to like yeah yeah like that's what I would do a lot is because of my schedule I would like um get like maybe a couple hours of sleep on a school night but then since I only had to go like Monday Wednesday Friday um that night I would get like 12 to 15 hours of sleep or something like that and so I'd like feel better and then I'd do the same thing it was really it was really bad um and I'm trying to not do that for next semester because I'm have a similar schedule yeah yeah personally I just like my rule is if I'm not done with homework by 10 I go to bed anyway and figure it out in the morning so yeah like I I just go 10 to 6 generally it's my sleep schedule so it's eight hours a night yeah that's like a really well-defined schedule I wish I had something like that like yeah I'm happy with it it works for me like on on weekends it'll change a little bit like but I still get up early like usually I'm up before seven like on weekends and stuff just because I don't know I I've always been a morning person so okay I don't know yeah I've always been a night person yeah could be Troublesome like not when I was younger when I was younger I'd be up by like four like it was really then once like high school started it was pretty quick shift to just like late nights yeah I think part of the reason I'm still a morning person is just like out of spite because like when I was younger I really loved getting up early in the morning and I think honestly I still am like in the morning because like the main reason is just cuz that's it works the best for me but when I was younger everybody would tell me like when I would say oh I get up at 600 every morning people would say oh when you're a teenager you won't want to do that and so so I would always tell them no I always will be a morning person so I don't know I've I've kind of I was always when I was younger I was always shocked at how my brother could like like sleep until 12 yeah yeah and then I became a teenager and I've like slept until like 6:30 one time really yeah like and so I was like okay I understand now people always people always ask me why I upload so late and that's because like that's like early for me like um funny um yeah that's that's pretty funny I think the latest I've ever slept in recent memory is maybe like nine and that's only if I go to bed like past midnight wow yeah yeah that's I yeah that's crazy like 9ine seems early for me yeah I mean really that is still the morning so but I don't know once it if I wake up and it's past eight I'm like a I wasted an hour you know like just in my bed what am I doing oh I don't know like the morning is kind of my like a very productive time for me so I like to get up early and get stuff done yeah that's cool somebody asked oh yeah oh I was just goingon to say like generally the um once about N9 o'clock like PM hits that's when I start feeling like most productive it's really weird interesting like that's I'll get like another like surge of energy almost like like sometimes a lot of times I'll be really tired throughout the day nine o'clock hits and I'm like boom I'm ready to go like it's really weird yeah I feel like I feel like the I I get less like the later that's the less productive I am cuz I'm just like like once it gets late I just act like completely out of it like I can't do anything productively at all why can I not find this piece oh that it must be really hard to find pieces on that I think the biggest Cube I've ever solved is my 8 by eight I don't think I've ever done a 9 by9 really yeah I mean like I could but it's it would take forever yeah it's it's not that bad honestly like once you get used to it big cubes are uh are pretty easy to to to do just kind of getting the Rhythm yeah oh yeah so somebody asked a while ago TG who edits still Sony podcasts so we alternate we used to have an order but then people would be like oh I can't edit this month so someone else would take it and then they would be like ahead so their their next one would be skipped and now it's just like Whoever has the time edits it but we try to make it even out in the end okay yeah that makes sense I don't know how much editing is there usually to do it's a decent amount because like okay usually like the the first part is syncing all the audio together okay and that usually takes like five or 10 minutes just figuring out where it's right like to to get it perfect like to the frame and um and then after that it's like you know basically just listening and cutting out anything where it's like like okay one thing that happens a lot is people talk over each other so you got to cut out people talking over each other and just leave in the one person who whose like message actually gets across and um okay and then like some parts completely get cut out because we're saying things that we don't want to say on the on the channel yeah well I'm just thinking like I remember when when I did the podcast I like watching it back there's like not I remember like I was like at the end I was like wow there's not a whole lot that got cut it pretty much all made it in there yeah most of it ends up in there but like certain parts just like sometimes if there's like a lull and people are quiet that'll get cut out um just like you know conversations about like like either things that are inappropriate or just like private information we don't include yeah but um but yeah I don't know it's but yeah so usually like when I edit at least I don't know how everybody else does it but like I I listen to the I listen through once and edit out like like do the biggest like editing stuff then like cutting out the biggest parts of it that that get cut out and then usually I'll end up listening through again just to make sure like the volume is Right everywhere and that um and that like there aren't any silences or any you know weird pauses or anything okay but but yeah so that's generally how that works out cool yeah that uh being on the podcast is really fun it was it was fun to talk to everybody that it was really I liked your episode that was really fun yeah we should have you back on sometime that' be cool I would be uh very interested in that yeah I don't know I didn't I didn't really want to say anything but I've been I was thinking about that because you guys haven't had any like recurring members before yeah yeah we haven't done that yet but I mean we'd definitely be open to that like you know your episode was really fun yeah I really wanted to do um what was it the uh there was one of like there was one like segment that you guys do pretty often that um you didn't do with with um on on my episode that I like really wanted was very surprised at how many people were oh yeah I comment quite impressive yeah yeah I I mean I speak enough Spanish to get by just from like school and stuff so like I don't know I guess technically I'm like one and a half lingual but I don't know yeah I mean I've been um I've been homeschooled most of my life so I don't even really know any Spanish either never even um took Spanish in like public school or anything like that okay so yeah I I don't know any any languages yeah yeah I I've been like you know in elementary school they start you off with like basic Spanish and stuff so like you know colors and things like that and then like Middle School it gets kind of more legit and then high school they actually teach you how to speak the language so like if you put me in like a Spanish speaking country I could get by but I'm gonna talk like kind of slowly just to like get my thoughts out in my head first but you know and then like I think yeah on that post I commented also all the programming languages I know because there are languages too oh yeah I guess that counts well I don't know any programming languages either yeah my friend has been wanting to uh like has been trying to get me into programming for a while but yeah just uh it's really fun I enjoy it yeah I feel like it's something I want to do eventually but I don't know not right now yeah it's like a very promising career path now too because like they need way more people in the field than they have MH so yeah my brother is a uh programmer oh really yeah he was like completely selftaught like he got hired before he even knew anything because they someone like so badly that's were just like we'll teach you just take the job that's pretty cool yeah how old is he uh he's 22 okay I think is that all of the oh no there's one more piece I think I can get in before I have to do commutators H commutators yeah those are frustrating quite a few on big cubes I think I have like six oh man yeah seven by seven is not that bad and like eight by eight but yeah I can imagine on 11 by 11 yeah I think no I have five I think five is the um is the like most you can have five or six okay but it's still just tedious yeah it's they're kind of cool like they're very useful to know but like it's yeah it does take a while have you ever done any blind uh blind events no um that's another one of those things that's like something I like I want to do because people always a lot of people always ask me like like non-cubers they're like can you solve it blindfolded and I'm always just like always just like no yeah really and they're always just like oh it's not you're not as impressive as I thought yeah see like a lot of people when they ask that they're like joking but then it feels really good to be able to say yes yeah like I would want I would want to get to the point though where I could be like you can do it blindfold and they're just like okay do it right now and then you can like scramble it and like be able to do it like a successful attempt within like a couple of minutes yeah you know I'm I'm not really at that point like cu I get a lot of dnfs with blind yeah I don't know when when I get a success it's like like I don't know it's I I I I think my PB is like a 122 or something so like it's like decently fast but like not too fast or anything yeah but I don't know I don't get successes that often yeah you know I'm not really so much into like speed cubing anymore so like I thought it'd be kind of cool to like start getting into more obscure events like FMC and and blind and stuff like that like I thought that might be fun to kind of explore that because FMC seems really interesting it is really cool like all the techniques and stuff that you can learn yeah I feel like you'd be good at that kind of thing because like I don't know you seem like you seem like you're good at like solving puzzles and stuff and that's kind of like what FMC is yeah that would be uh that would be pretty fun to try I guess it seems like lot of more like um like older more experienced cubers are the ones that get into FMC yeah I've noticed that too and then and then you got like Romy yeah yeah but right now I really just kind of want to get more into modding um I finally have like a nice modding setup going so I'm uh I'm gonna just be working on that a lot this summer so that's cool yeah I never really got that into modding but I'd kind of like to try it sometime yeah I've always been into it but I I never like started doing it like a lot but um just like Nathan's actually been a big inspiration for me because of like how much his channel is growing his channel is right now is growing faster than mine is really oh yeah he's gonna pass me out um pretty quickly that's impressive his channel insanely fast it's growing really fast and he's got big plans like for what he wants to do with Channel yeah so um I'm very excited to see that but he's just like he just mods 247 like I've never seen him do anything else yeah yeah I remember I remember when I had more subs than him and then it's just like wait what happened yeah I think like last month when he did that uh 30-day 30 build series he gained he gain like 12,000 Subs in a month yeah in a month that's crazy so he's really fast month I think my best month ever is like 2,000 Subs mine is um gosh I want to say like I don't think it's above 10,000 but it might be I don't know well yeah you were gr really fast for a while yeah it like uh December of 2015 I think was my biggest month um 2015 or 16 I think it was 2015 um yeah so that's really impressive what do you average like now per month um for like views or subscribers subscribers uh about 5,000 I would say five or six thousand but like Nathan averages like you know eight n, a month so that's very impressive yeah and he gets he gets more views on average too like well collectively because he's got a lot of videos that um kind of are like have gone viral yeah so um that one video about like how to solve a Rubik's Cube with one algorithm yeah he's got a couple of like how to solve a one by one videos that have have like millions of views yeah and one of those actually got memed like it was on iFunny like on the featured page of I yeah it was like a screenshot from his video and I was just like oh man I know him iel I felt like buddy like from the elf like on um when that fake Santa comes oh yeah him that's so funny yeah yeah my my subscribers per month are like really weird so like last March 2016 I hit like the most I had had up until then which was 1870 and then every month after that it went down until by October 2016 I got 474 subscribers that month MH and then it started going up again and by January I had 1986 February it went down march it went over 2000 and then April it went like way down and may it's like down again so I don't know it's it's very [Music] weird I feel like March is probably my biggest month people are saying to add Derpy don't know if he's awake yet he's he's in Virginia oh really wait well okay he was he was in irginia for a comp yesterday and I know he might not even be back he might not be on the podcast tonight because he might not be back in time okay so I don't know yeah so he's he's not I don't think he's able to join but I don't know I can ask him on Facebook where he is I feel like if he were home though he would probably be on the stream at this point yeah well I mean it's it's gonna end pretty soon because I'm I'm almost done with edges oh that's true yeah I don't think I'm Gonna Keep it going too much longer after I uh finish this up yeah how long has it been going now uh three hours wow or so which is um a bit less than I thought it was going to be I was estimating like four or five hours but it's G to be a bit less than that so that's good yeah do you think you'd ever go for like any kind of like endurance world record for cuing like how uh how Road did the like 24-hour thing oh yeah I mean I I don't know if I'd want to put myself through that I mean did he stay up for like 24 hours like he did he do it or did he ever like take a sleep break he had like a couple five minute breaks built in I think but that was it really wow that yeah see I don't like caffeine so I I doubt my abilities to be able to stay up for 24 hours straight just continually solving yeah um but yeah I I mean I think I did pretty well with that 29h hour live stream over the course of like four days yeah I remember that I was on part of that's probably as like terms of like endurance like that that took a lot out of me like you think it wouldn't be that hard because you're just like sitting there but like it's when you have to like engage an audience for that long and like solve for that long it's really really um annoying plus just like sitting for that long is like not not good for you yeah there were several times where just like I need to stand up yes I know mean yeah yeah like there have been times before where I realized wait I've been sitting at my computer for like three hours I should like get up and do something but yeah I don't know that I don't know why I subjected myself to that I was really thinking that it wouldn't take that long um but yeah it was that was uh something I would never I would never do again again how many did you have then um then I don't know I think it was like maybe 250 okay um but I didn't have any of the Ean big cubes I didn't have the teraminx or the petaminx uh which now I have two teram mies um so that would take even longer so yeah I didn't there was a lot of big cubes that I didn't have back then um which made it a little bit more bearable yeah I feel like I'm trying to figure out um what I would get on that because like I have like 120 cues maybe didn't didn't Derpy do one of those streams did he I don't remember I think I thought I it was but it was only like three hours or something because he like just has speed cubes oh maybe it was something else I don't know it might have been like his streams are usually late at night and I'm like asleep so I don't know yeah yeah I just I feel like I remember him doing that but it might have been someone else yeah I don't know I know that um red KB still hasn't solved all of his puzzles from that time that he got them scrambled yeah two or three years ago yeah but no it was it wasn't no it was like last year right wasn't it I think it was last year I think yeah yeah it was April Fool's Day I think that was 2016 yeah that's crazy yeah it was it was that's insane people are asking me to solve a pyramix live all right I'll pull up a scramble see what I can do okay here's the pyramix and there you go now it's solved no what happen oh a cap I have a z perm this this is really bad I hate that you have to watch this because now I'm doing two U perms no you have to wait you got to do The Beginner's zerm though all right there we go last
