so now we're filming kind of the underwater shots to get either cool close-ups of some of these fish I'm actually super impressed the number of live bears and sick let's live together I've done that for a long time but I've never seen it I thought they'd prey on the way harder but they breed so fast that it's not it's just unbelievable the density of fish there's going on in these pools 300 gallons the amount of fish it's crazy to me I mean is every single one of them's life nothing over here the amount of fish so hopefully we'll be cutting down to like look at they're looking at the camera right here we'll cut down to some of this water shot for you and you hopefully will be as impressed as I am I absolutely I like African cichlids I love liya bears I love the nature approach to this the most impressive part to me is that there's no water only top off only water is getting topped off which I think it's such an important way to show because not like no one else does it's that I know yeah usually I take the plastic off the end and put a screen door just until that one's falling apart and a fan our big our big fans got killed I've got two big roller fans I usually cool these this system runs off that sump so I don't worry too much about once I have it open we typically don't have to heat if we get any Sun at all we don't have to eat okay but South Texas you end up with these cutoff lows yeah that's a Texas ribbon snake they reproduce there as a youngster I had they yeah they hunt in the water yeah they're pretty good little Fisher's had used to have one there he's going close to well quick we used to have one in green house to which swear word met raised a lot of libraries and anytime there was an injured fish or something I'd dangle it come and eat that out of my fingers okay there there my our nephew is a professor at Florida State University studies snake venoms okay and the evolution snake venoms and he says that they're finding almost every snake has about it's just yeah make sense yeah sir okay sir sweating yep you will these we raise there's one of our big fleet clout read those guys not deliberately and they will one of the few things that benefited from Harvey all the rain water 14 inches ring order coming in and they spawned like mad so we've got we have a whole bunch of plecos about this big right now from the spine so what I've thought about doing since I know that that triggers is setting up one of those big vats running what rainwater off do rainwater collection and spawn them that way this there should have brought some pellets and let me go get a handle a pellets and yeah I can feel it just by the door yeah I don't want to overheat in there yep you're gonna see the beads of sweat they're already forming surprisingly enough they recognized me and the dogs I believe it and I don't they may not come up here see Rio this is a labia purposeful warning blue marmalade it's a some people call them Marley Jets yeah yeah we it's a dominant gene the spotting is dominant I was coming to a fish farm they wanted to know what you feed and I already knew your secret of the big floating pellets right so you want to clean that a little bit okay this is aqua max 500 it's made by Purina yep we buy it in 50-pound bag right yes it's basically this is a forty percent and forty two percent protein yet and it's used for catfish production and trout production we also feed three crumbles which I'll show you later one hundred two hundred three hundred and that refers to their size and yeah the filter that they go through it's 50% protein sink slowly the fish like this some of the feral fish might come up fish like this it's heavy and oil there you see one of the breeder males sticking his nose out down there and a couple teams oh yeah yeah that we have 36 breeders in there probably three males and the rest of them females and that was set up in January and so for this tub and so for viewers might not know that they're a mouse cooter do you let them just spawn and spit in there or you come in and pull each time wait if we the labor involved in stripping the interesting thing is we get new breeding stock in and well let me tell you what how we harvest this yeah every three to four months we come in here those we call those fry cages and there are two of these what we call cichlid hotels in each one of those and then five of them in here and then a little bit bigger drain pipe and we come in pull everything out the cages out harvesting things in the cages then net out all the adults put them in 5 gallon buckets take them over to greenhouse one for it and where we sort count the breeders sort out the the little fish and we put one to two inch fish and a 55-gallon bat two to three and another 55-gallon about three to four usually you don't have very many three two fours the cycle is three to four months depending on temperature and usually at about two months they come and dump these cages out I pull the hotel's out dump the fish out we know these like cages and hotels work and winery okay I'll show you one well I have one that's out or we'll be out yeah this head we're going to longer ones now but it so it doesn't sit on the bottom and the adult fish kind of like that because they can hide under there that's what those guys are doing and we put a couple of the hotels in there you know some of those and then the fry the females I've watched them but when they're ready to spit they sidle up alongside of this let the fry go and the fried dark recover like so yeah he likes it yeah so at about two months I come and dump these out because the first fry are getting big enough to maybe yeah yeah those are mollys and the the cichlids are all hiding for some reason there's a little cichlid so here's the controversial question on the Internet you think the moments on the bottom beneficial or detrimental beneficial that's I feel the same way people yeah now we you don't see much in the gutters okay or in our sons and I thought our four foot deep stumps would would you know I'd have to clean them out everyone's about know all the all the feral fish keep it stirred up and it breaks down and just give you an idea on the system well I'd say this one's running off the sump in greenhouse two there we have pumps that pump the water in these two inch lines yeah yeah we see the air air lines you don't see any air or deactivating those no it's not worth running the blowers it's better off having two valves in each VAT and and then you know if we lose power the generator comes on and the it's easier to run the water pumps and it is to run the air blowers especially take a lot of power we just sit we just [Laughter] right here okay see it's quite a bit cooler in here because of the shade cloth oh it's way cooler in here that fee makes a big there I can't believe makes a huge Griffon truck sure and I can sing the snake on it oh yeah that's a young Diamondback water I've only ever seen the pictures this is like my Mecca because I I'm in love with the fact that you don't change water you only replace evaporation and like no I thought I thought our that our mineral levels would go sky high I don't and it's the same as our well water but if you look on the VATS where water flows out you know especially on the 55 try to show you something exist so that the calcium carbonate precipitates out and performant it so yeah it's like in fact you if you drip our well water you'll do a low skill act Isis black might and so the excess mineral just ends up stiff fading out forming maybe in my own mind without being able to be here I was like maybe you combat it with all the plants stripping the excess minerals that was my thought was that that could be that they're doing that they're certain they certainly suck ammonia out this is black mangrove by the way I knew you rat so once I knew that I was going to run mangos in freshwater I've seen it done at a massive steel not just a one of this my feet it's a massive scale repeatable yeah this these bloomed for the first time last year and we had babies Wow and it's a little bit annoying you sell any of them on the website haven't ya I thought we could take cuttings of this himself Cuddy they won't root yeah now black mangroves unlike red mangroves don't grow proper oats they grow these aerial roots for oxygen and you see those coming up but I thought I'd be able to take cuttings I have never gotten one to root maybe if you were like good at crafting you could graft it onto something yeah but but the you know the propagules work the you know we got our first generation of wall right here cuz I already spotted it this is nothing I love the walkway right here we had wooden walkways and we're not quite finished we were almost finished when Harvey hit and I haven't gotten back yet we don't have any wooden ones but there are some at the ends there's some cinder blocks missing so I decided to get rid of the wooden walkways because we could find no way that they would last very long you know what everyone eight ten years yet replacement something try three or four oh wow yeah and a lot of Labor and it can't be treated because they're already part of this um you can't use any of a chemical yeah so the yeah you can't put you can't put treated wood in right we tried marine paint that didn't do anything the interesting thing is our and sisterís loved of wooden walkways and would lay their eggs they go up underneath them in labor what we're doing we've we casted we're taking the old walkways and we're making hotels for them strapping the wood to a brick and putting those in them and they reach they spawn a lot better they don't like PVC or anything like that they spawn a lot better than that I wonder if they can feed all the fibrous material and know that only leverage source and they're better let me show you this plant this is deaf and bokkeum which you can touch it I won't bother you but if you get SAP on you it's worth some poison ivy okay and this my mother had one that's about this big in her cat skip clawing down and I got it I said it on the edge of the gutter and not that one but one like that and then it grew into this monster I've got those are potted up over there we're gonna donate them to the trader volunteer fire department for their fundraiser and stuff they're good they're good to house plants but they're a pain did you start the fish farm or was that okay you got the fish we were young so no one else is doing fish this is all using yes okay I had up in our North pasture I had actually the part of the farm that my sister bought I had 20 ponds dirt ponds that are allowed then we moved to how long have you been a fish farmer and selling okay I when I was 13 I started selling fancy Guppies to shops in Houston my grandparents who take me to the Houston I'd sell and we're the upon you know their water crawls and a quarter antiquary good enough to be Foreman and then in college I switch to killifish and pretty much put myself a school raise into legal eras and I worked out a means and in fact we're gonna do it again the summer I work out a means of raising large numbers of them and probably contract with somebody like five D or something too so I was oh that's the farm we were just at yeah so then we moved to Santa Fe New Mexico in 91 and in 97 I put it in a greenhouse there and started raising rainbows okay then we bought this from my my mother and it's been in the family since 1870 brought it for my mother and mm that took us a couple years to move the hatchery we built this greenhouse hurricane Claudette destroyed it in 2003 we learned that's why we took the plastic off because it it crushed in fact that's that's why we quit raising rainbows we lost almost all our breeding stock and so we we got an some fish from Siegrist and 5d some cichlids and start raising cichlids and so let's walk down here to the sump yep and those fish won't care all right here's a this is where we throw off-color fish and stuffing in this VAT and then I just have a couple customers buy them they're fairly decent looking fish there's a an OB peacock ordinarily ovp cut oh these are one of my favor of the kind of like if I'm gonna go hybridize Obie's where it's at they I like a lot of yellow and blue are we got a box of OB peacocks in from from Siegrist I think it was and 2003 or four and then we I selected the best-looking males kept all the females Soloff all the other males as they grew up and from them we've developed a really nice blue OB yep sky-blue OB gold OB orange OB orange with non OB and blue na nosy and those are our bread and butter the aquarium maintenance companies oh yeah snap those up we're a co the African from I'm Winston all the libraries I mean yeah I live bearers took a big hit and and Harvey there's some young well they decided to hide when I walked through here alone everybody's up at the top kidder well they know you're going to order these are when we clean the 55 s what we do siphon them down yeah doing that first we net the fish out that we can then we siphon it down to the minute then we use a that's a course we use a there's a fine oh there a ten-inch brine shrimp net and just net out any the mom the bottom that stuffs is loaded with their Mason if I need to feed anything Paramecium I come in that out a bunch of gunk off the bottom and fill up the bucket come back in the next morning ya know yeah and yeah these are multinucleate them which is the largest of the Paramecium okay and you can act but it looks like milk you know yeah swarms of milk and I just didn't get around we were working these fats yesterday I didn't get around to hauling this out we throw this on our warm beds and the infinite nutrients yeah which kind of recycles it because I'm guessing you feed the worms back to fish yeah we haven't we're building up populations again don't during Harvey's they want the worms one on walkabout yeah I just spread all over the place this is typo read them by the way they get the scent of leaves you see bigger leaves those are the ones that development cooking and what they people take that's a flower rat wrap that around fish and we got some redfish from from the coast from a the fish house and fixed it and is kind of fishy tasting there so my wife came out the next day got some leaves wrapped it and it took all that away left a nice play sometimes called rootbeer plan smell of root beer yeah I don't know I don't that smells awful but it's got that smell all right yeah it's got that parts though yeah say are the readings out of control we normally don't let it get this big how often you have to cut it back about every six months oh and this has been a year and a half and you can see we don't have these vats even running because that the roots have gone through clogged everything up yeah yeah so yeah we I've was trimming some this morning and didn't get this taken out so just watch where you step our pH ranges from during the summer first thing in the morning is about 8.2 in the afternoon it's about 8.5 okay then because of photosynthesis is you know running it up and at night respiration is is dropping it yeah our well water comes up surprisingly enough at 7:00 but as soon as you aerated it jumps up to 8.5 so go I'll see you soon or something home yeah see I don't have this done okay if you be careful getting to the end of the walkway but you'll get to see some nice fish if you want the other ways you come over here like you see all the fish down in the pond oh there yeah that's one of them he has to be careful oh yeah there's a just a good mixture of Stefan yeah we yeah I can drape a net and there throw some food in and you just pull it up we'll probably be doing this is the best pond ever I don't want you know I've got Korean stuff now I just want to have consecutive fun yeah this is four feet deep we have the the pumps we use today or these above-ground pumps we used to use submersible and then you see their readings gotten out of control here I got to cut all that back the problem with these is that sometimes if you lose power for and it takes a while for the generator to jennife sometimes they don't yeah and so we are gonna go back to submersible with GFI is the reason I went away from them is after hurricane heart claudette to employees and I were trying to net fish out of the of the sump and I was in the water they there's a big green terror we've got well we bought fish gallery has three shops and they sell a lot of green tears they wanted to trade some farm so I've got a box of little ones threw them up and during Harvey they all swam out because we got 14 inches of rain and and a lot of leaf debris and overflows and stuff and so one of these days I'm gonna trap them in order to run to respond them there's big thoughts of chromosome yeah I was gonna say yeah there no interesting thing get very few hybrids there's a convict yeah we kept getting this little fish when went about an inch long with vivid orange and my theory we're looking at it was a springer I read zebra cross yeah yeah okay yeah and that's a weird mix yeah and I thought okay that's got to be it just looking at it it reminded me of both those species the problem is when it got to two inches that start turning brown by Thomas three inches gray brown here's my wife and but we kept getting those and win it and whenever we did any traffic yeah and so I set up a spawn of spring rye and red zebras and that offspring looks exactly like a red Sebring you cannot tell the difference I would never want to mix those hybrids right because you wouldn't really sort them out so I said okay that's not it then accidentally I figured out what it was I had a bat that had some labia trophy females I was just growing up to use and I had some spring ride males I needed someplace just to dump them I dumped them in there when I went to harvest the females whole bunch in the launch the problem is they don't stay that way you know it's not the volume of water that stumps I always coders like a study I watched one time where they had goldfish that we're always touching each other but it was a flow-through system they ever saw same water twice yeah Auburn University had a ten gallon aquarium video with carp that were long enough that noses and Tails would tell ya six of them in there and it was flow through yep and the fish had to slide past each other doing luck so yeah it was very similar just to prove it you know it's water at water quality yeah we have more plants than we need for water quality in here we have a red mangrove over there no test water quality in here is it zero ammonia yeah the these plants I think are using ammonia directly and you can see a little bit of yellowing in the leaves they're not getting they want more yeah they're not getting enough now we feed 250 pounds of food a week a week yeah we over feed and that's why there's some long in the bottom of with every library top to continue enter have you got the fish around now that deck weed we feed to our chickens but they can't eat enough of it this is a scud vat okay we sell the hell out of scud so we ship scuds out every week and I really haven't figured out what like a billion dollars - like all the labs and schools so that's dominating that yeah yeah well yeah when I go to do a thousand what I do I pull the hornwort out they eat horn works by the way and then I stir up the bottom really good take of course 10-inch net run it through the water column you know do this and look at it oh that's 200 yeah which is usually around 3 or 400 your ecosystem is so much of an ecosystem that there's literally fog and like cloud cover up yeah you you should see that in the morning on a cool that yeah these are some of our Moana bats that we harvest from yeah they'll go through yeah but in fact we got these from dr. Caitlyn Gabor at Texas State University years and years ago probably when did we get those from Caitlyn I looked it up the other day the scuds totally 2005 or something like that and I've tossed them in a vat and then pretty soon there were everywhere oh I can if I if I turn that bad off it'd be green tomorrow now it's you know you get a little bit of stirred up stuff other than that the water is clear if you get a jar here so I know people will be amazed but I'm guessing you run no mechanical filtration to the system there's no filtration I'm always trying to peach the people like this is nature no one's pulling this out of me that's water out of the system and but if we turned off the the pumps you know try to settle me crystal clear yeah it would well if we turned off pumps within 48 hours of the all greens yeah that's nice so that you can make green water almost on command yeah look I need some green water this is a sky-blue OB see one of our breeder yeah two breeder males in there and surprisingly the males hanging out together you see why I don't like the black mangrove their leaves a perfect size to clog up this is one of the babies from last spring of the black mangrove yeah you can really see this right that well those are actually Guppies yeah and they do surprisingly well these are some dragon Bloods you see big male they're no the Guppies reproduce you can see all of them you know they know where to go hide and I guess the fish get habituated this this one's leaking and I found I can take a bag and put it up against there the water pressure stops because Suzy doesn't like the walkways to be wet this is a blue Obi's you see there's a blue so one of my breeder males that this one's way past time to harvest it will be doing that tomorrow you can see there's some pretty good-sized fish but it's blues so at least one of my breeder males and at least one female with heterozygous pierogi how often do you harvest and update the website so when people are that's every month every couple months or is it every week what's a how often do you like update so if you harvest these I'm guessing they eventually give me a stock online right right now we're not listening much online okay we're still trying to recover yep filled huh we you know for example template we read the date on that one this VAT was set up last year correct for 25 20 yeah so year ago so we're we're just way behind but now that the house is I still have some plumbing to do on the house but we're able to spend more time on the fish basically all we could do that that first year was just kind of keep things going a little bit and our live bearers took a big hit and I think it's most of the leaf debris that blew in and and we got inches and inches and stuff out of each VAT black willow acacia phony Sayana which we sach and mesquite and one or more of those has some compound that prevented reproduction and our libraries especially mollies did not bother cichlids did not bother we raised one barb it bothers the barb but it did hit all the libraries somewhat worse than others where we would normally get out of 40 females get five or six hundred fish in three months we were getting ten and on top of that loss to love the bridge removing the leaves seems to done most of it although to tell you you know we still have some bats with leaves in there this is another bat of drag of bloods which is kind of an annoying fish because a large percentage of them don't get the color you want yeah although we did it we raised a lot of in greenhouse - we raised a whole lot of cherry shrimp and a few years ago I did a feeding test I took red Empress which also has a bad habit of not all the male's coloring up nicely and I split them I had about 75 males and two vats side-by-side I fed cherry shrimp for about three weeks every other day or so - one VAT without telling anybody who it was then had Suzy and a couple of employees come in net the fish out and look at the difference huge difference and six months later the the ones that were colored up we're still colored up fish don't produce their own read and write pigment so [Music] cherry shrimp are kind of expensive too but what we do is all of our calls if they don't have a good red color you have to continuously call them where they lose the red cherry shrimp I agree for this like man there's that's a little bit of chromis you can see you know they're they're youngsters are colorful so you can actually see them say all the Guppies but you also see all that raccoon came in and messed up those two cages for me I've been trapping I just trapped one a couple weeks ago I'm gonna trap finish we put most these three hundreds we put a couple plecos in okay I'd rather use n sisterís and if we get our reproduction back up I would and yeah I guess it's all the fish action I'm not sure or that I guess but even the the sessile algae serve inhibited by the plant second but the three greenhouse is 75,000 what's the water temp running here right now it's probably around seventy three or four and what's the coldest you let it get before you go to turn heat I try to keep it above 65 okay so I've got a video that's gonna come out where I'm trying to educate people up like we don't need aquarium heaters they're a good safety net but most of our homes are always 75 central air yeah you don't need yeah and in fact on things like Guppies and stuff they live a lot longer at those much cooler temperatures were buying from them you know yeah evolution happens very quickly I'll give you some examples in a minute where that is a 6 foot table that we give her 40 bucks yeah and see that wooden walkway that one's cracked in the middle and this one I had these two pumps on a wooden walkway and I went to step and went through one of the boards and everything was sagging so Carl and I came in here and lifted the pumps up got one edge on and finally got this thing yeah yeah so far it's working good in fact I'm getting ready I've got another one I'm going to put it under that pump all right and I'm a replace wood just doesn't survive yeah so what happens you know you see the water running in we have four little fish we have these strainers okay that one's in there tight that stopped them from going through you some fry will go through this is a nice Ilana Cara Stewart grantee I forget which color variety I think that's been G blue [Music] surprisingly I mean most of the Lana Kara's look a lot alike but people yeah most of our fish go to we haven't really pushed retail most of our fish go to shops especially aquarium maintenance but fish gallery has three shops but those are mainly kind of shoulder and say they have think they have 200 people run trucks going out doing aquarium maintenance well in 2008 Kent remembers name guys from England was here he had just gotten a brand-new digital camera we had wooden walkways and he's walking along here foot went through fell into the VAT Friday aureus for always falling no matter where we film yeah this is a good place and we are liable we're going to do a blog I'm working on right now is because we got our first rattlesnake yesterday yeah in the yard by the kids trampoline by the grand brats trampoline and we don't kill anything so no but Susie won't let me catch him by hand anymore because I was bitten in 2004 so she has a snake stick so I I got the snake stick the dogs pointed out where it was I got the snake stick put it in a barrel and we hauled it off to our East pasture those I don't poison snakes I don't think anybody else's property or even Red Lake place but I'd get them away from the house a lot of times we'll just walk around them but if they're in the yard where the kids are and then later in the day a big scale opera salvations which is a try and think of a common name it's a kind of spiny lizard a big female who's already gravid she's already full of eggs this early in the year I caught her and we took photos of her then I put her up on the tree and you know so I'm gonna do a blog you know the signs that summer has arrived on the farm for her first rattlesnake she'll Scratchy yeah that one's three or four weeks old the babies are really cute yeah yeah right you yeah they're pretty aggressive and the other thing he squirted must we could we could sell this one's not a very attractive one we love them are really red and we could sell a lot of them except right you know I don't think people would keep them because they know are they not strong enough to break the skin bleeding overly yeah yeah the big ones are I mean you get a get a three-foot female and you'll believe like mad see it see it flatten its head so it looks like a poison snake yeah they get pretty tame when we had a bunch of them before Harvey the and another couple years we'll have a bunch again a lot of them will get tame enough you have to step over them there on the walkway basking and you have to step over in this greenhouse will probably be a little bit warmer because it's got only a 40% shade cloth next year I'm going to spring for a 75% see this one's warmer wow you do make a cherry shrimp I am shocked at how many we can sell I bought a half dozen um from village tropical which is now fish gallery in Houston probably in 2004 or something like that I think I paid five or six bucks apiece for 8 bucks apiece dropped him in a vat without telling Suzy I'd get that much on it and then all of sudden they they just took off we we sell we wholesale them at sixty sounds yeah yeah 5b 5d sales in at 90 cents and I think in 300 laws this is a this is one of the few libraries that was not affected by this is Jambu CEO pintado cuban blue-eyed Jim Bishop which is a nice fish it's not mean unlike a Venice but all the other even a penis was affected by their whatever caused the reproduction this is well we love the liner drop down the sump pumps almost dry about a week and a half ago and I caught it in time to save all our pumps and they they can actually run hot anyway but we got air in the system I can't get it out I did drop a thermometer in here this morning you have her glasses and see that the temperature is 25 set 77 yeah that's what we just dumped miscellaneous in there like we put the GoPro there it's gonna be amazing these aren't our breeders easily once we say well our breeders the brighter it Suzy insist upon doing all the breeders selection on this day so we stopped them with we put about 25 of them and with each of our libraries and harvest at 200 harvest alive therefore well fewer than 400 because we took some out for these one tens yeah for 55-gallon barrels which we have before don't for some reason they don't like library as much see I think this is yeah this is Lamia nice man now and those are your breed stock right no that's actually was a sale that that's fachada this is probably the yeah that's the and what we do is saying that we put a cage and for fry [Applause] this is one of the haitian lemme as you see your shrimp in with them yeah nice mail there no this one isn't this one's from haiti writ getting gave me that fish ordinary this is another one this is it this one is fish a little ancestress and i can't loose yet for some reason we may not have any of these how do you select which libraries you want to raise up well i raise everything suzy slicks okay what we don't race the the I mean if I see a fish I want it the Sehorn work goes crazy here we harvest this the chickens and horses eat it here you go Maya at least 500 thousand you know counting all the feral fish well nothing like we usually get that's another that's pretty I another Linea that's the fish that pfh and I got crosswise on you know I used to the library column and yeah and yeah I did that three and a half years and the the problem is I did an article we've gotten crew GI and raised them by the thousands and I got some lemme of it Tata and quarantine them for a few months put him on the system and all sudden our líneas furry guy just started dying a fish would look okay ten minutes later is dead at the top no you know no external signs they all died off faster than I could even send them off they in him to get in Texas A&M to get diagnosed so I just assumed it was something that the Tata head and I wrote an article about it and I had I got another start of perugia and put them in the system after they went through quarantine and they were fine so I think it was you know you start out with a half dozen fish so if there's some you've lost a lot of variation already and that's like we we get fish from the wild we're sampling the population we're not getting all the the variation that that species has and then you know somebody gets a couple days and they raise some fish you get a trio from that you race somebody gets a trio PU you're just narrowed the gene pool and I and so my theme was the population pretty I originally had wasn't had no resistance to whatever batata brought in but the second population did they didn't like that because fish died and I I said well yeah yeah that happens in I think obvious need know that even so-called experts like me have things happen yeah wait you know we don't coddle the fish here as you can tell well that's that's a distinction I made with my viewers let's take up some stuff from overseas they're raised on UV filtration bare bottoms like an is he a normal v and they just yeah that we raise a few Guppies you know feeder Guppies but also you know some red Delta's but I don't spend much time on them I've thought about getting some good ones okay see what happens to this is see all the shrimp in there that's not us for a switch is a pain I don't like the horn word at least we I mean we package it we sell it wholesale a a bag about like that for five or six bucks of shops and what I don't like about it is by time you see it it's already filled the whole thing oh yeah we're yeah except for though you know I like the horn work because if there's too much of it if it's interfering with feeding I just can tell a bunch of in a bucket hater to the chicken you still know how much without being said if all of them and you couldn't really see now look GoPros the stuff you could least put a GoPro down there yeah I I would get lucky I get it going really well then miss Pete a couple times a water with sour because they're running on their own just sticky 5 gallons they were yeah yeah the first system I did I did it on an apartment and Austin and I did a rack of 30 10 gallon aquarium okay I had three tiers 10 on each tier with the short edge out and I had leveling siphons so I've pumped water from the end one up to the top it ran through siphons down through a level inside went through the middle yeah and leveling siphons are neatly divided unit and on the bottom I had four or five tanks that I left lights on 24 hours a day with plants yeah and first I use submerged plants then I thought you know pothos because you can it feeds have and so I did that that was kind of prototype then I did some barrels out in the yard and in Austin when we lived there and then when we built the greenhouse in Santa Fe I went on there I did use a rotating biological collector and yeah when I found that wasn't necessary I was using how long ago is that nobody cutting it yeah that was in 97 that was real cutting it but I owe and I got a big commercial but I found it wasn't necessary we were using water hyacinth which is a great plant we're a skill ease some of the fun to Lipan checks and what I would do is put a big crown in the middle of the VAT have all my breathing's in there and the hazards five-week route they'd lay their eggs and then about every 7 to 10 days I'd pick that up move it to the next batch or the Friday charge and put another one in there the problem is very illegal in Texas oh no no water - yeah yeah the which that horse is already out of the barn if you drive along the Texas coast every sting of fact you go over Cleto Creek over here there's and the lake there's water highs but they still the fine is 250 but the plant so we don't do it yeah but we used it for rainbows too the same way yeah they'd lay their eggs on that let's see what was it the artificial light yarn 20 watts that still work as well or I don't think so we've got some down there because we still have one bag of Legos probably let's see yeah young swordtails kind of a brick red and they get away real quickly usually we would have three to four hundred fish in this right well I see when I say it's hard I've seen the pictures and yeah yeah here's our blue swords which are primarily liar tails and sale and hi fans try trying to build them back up we well basically in ten hours we come in early in the morning this time of the year usually we're at 7:30 and work till noon working fish and then the rest of the day is trying to catch up on things like building doors right putting on shade cloth okay let's see it just aren't very many those are some sunsets that's - breeders in there yeah I've got several lines of of giant Molly's going yeah you're well not well and library nerd circle you're well-known for it the real world doesn't know we're gonna go down to that last vat on the end over here see if we make it for heat exhaustion sets in those are some short pin mollies Wow nice see that male with orange tail I've got some mexicana an team server new stuffs breeding colony see there big male just went down there Fred zebras we do we use we used to probably have 90% of Memphis in the world oh yeah they got hit hard by the way we're building them back that we have tequila and the DEA's bacillus which Susie I finally sold it there so that's the problem is it's like no one really wants to buy before amazing fish yeah one of the politicos what's the fire in this is a batch of Oh be sick let's getting ready to be harvested [Applause] tell you what let me go down ready to spider oh yeah yeah that's actually a wolf spider but we have water spiders please the hook the diving spiders we pack a pretty good bite let me go get a mat keep your work I have kind of one swoop at this before they sing something Wow yeah this is a hybrid group you see there that that male there's a young male that's gonna be a sailfin like they said also that Mexicano type but there are some really big females in there just hard to get to let's see if I can [Music] no big ones in there all the way and some of those going to be big this is fossa promise losing young foster promise but the big ones are reflection dump that out here yeah let's see if I can I'm just happy to see the even you're sweating it's not just me yeah no that's a nice male but he's not a very big one yet he's younger he's just yeah you're just sexing out you know yeah another orange peacock nah no beans further melis fin Estrada a really nice big fish watcher who put here that's crazy okay I kind of think of us up there's one of the greater males and he's threatening that other male young Oh bees yeah yeah we usually when we're doing things on time on schedule we usually get three to four hundred per vet we just did this one yesterday and there's some big mollies in here but let's see if I can no thought I might go get some hiding up under this suppose you're smarter than we are yeah that's a young female nope we see three types yes son gets on you yeah we'll put shade cloth on this one pretty soon now I can't get a big one out of there don't worry I can't believe you sell those like they must sell instantly online or people don't realize how good a quality that we haven't been selling online much other than off the website although you know we haven't pushed anything I'm actually thinking about taking I've got about half dozen really nice those are called breeders by the way that big that there are six big males in there is called for our breeding colony I'm thinking about putting one on the plus six females related females on eBay and want to off the bid just to see what happens if one problem is the cost of shipping so I send and I hate shipping big pretty fish like that even overnight and I much prefer air cargo in my opinion when I look at your fish online in my opinion they're very cheap the shipping is hard people to get over but the quality of fish and what I know is being done to the price is insane if people knew that I think they would you know well I'm going to let y'all do it for a while I'm gonna run up to the house [Music] Jimmy take the microphone off okay I'm just gonna run up and check on some things [Music]
