YOU'VE NEVER SEEN A MOWER DO THIS!

hey there folks this is josh stoneyridge farmer welcome to another edition of stony ridge farmer we are off the farm at a friend's house this is my buddy joe's house and we're going to be cleaning up his pasture with the tym t 1104 and an awesome flail mower right here so this is the moschio giraffa i hope i'm pronouncing it right seven foot offset flail mower and it also offsets up in the air so i can mow vertical in other words right down the driveway i can mow the edges i can mow the edges of fields i can mow the edges of pastures i can do all kinds of stuff we're going to have some fun here's a sneak peek at what it looks like underneath we'll walk you through and talk you through all this and we're gonna take this ugly disaster of a field right here with all these pine saplings and everything and we're gonna turn it into a golf course it's awesome let's have some fun [Music] all right first of all guys if you haven't met big t or mr t shut up fool this is the tym t 1104 it's tym tractors t1104 it's a 110 or 111 horsepower tractor it's got a doosan diesel engine in it i do believe and it is an absolute four wheel drive beast of a machine comfy comfy cab super comfortable so we'll be out here not having to wear herring protection not getting dust all in our face it's gonna be the first time i've ever moaned longer than about 45 minutes with a cab tractor i'm super duper excited about that so what we have here again is the seven fl foot flail mower from moscow i'll post a link down the video description for you these are the cutter blades okay so it has cutter blades they look like little hammers i guess and they mulch pretty much all of this broom straw right here will get mulched up right along with the pine saplings right here and it'll take pine saplings up to about that big i've pushed it and i shaved a rock with it the other day and i damaged some of the blades so we're gonna have to do a little bit of sharpening the cool thing about this is you can just tip it up and sharpen your blades you can see that one's chewed up just a little bit i got into some rocks like i said things happen when you're on a farm so let's toss the drone up in the air get you guys some cool footage this is the before right here and then we'll show you the after this may take two days let's have some fun [Music] mmm [Music] do [Music] so what you guys can't hear and or see is that i am feathering a control arm right here that tilts this critter so you're on uneven ground like this you have to kind of keep an eye on it it skates along the ground and you can see man it is doing a fantastic job and look at all that dust man i'm so glad i'm in this cab um i've got the settings on this tractor on the tymt 1104 i've got it set to when i put it in reverse it raises up and also when i make a sharp turn it raises up too so gotta feather this thing it's a little bit difficult to hold a camera and try to do all this but it's all right we're learning uh this is again probably the second hour really that i've mowed with this tractor so watch as i turn i'm gonna turn sharp the mower lifts up i'm gonna level out the deck and when i see it's off the ground and then when i straighten back up [Music] it sets it back down in the grass that is awesome look at how much better it looks out the front of the tractor doesn't that look awesome it this flail mower basically cuts the grass down to what a zero turn mower would do i mean it pulverizes everything so it looks like that where it mowed but it looks like this where i haven't mowed it's insane the difference i mean this stuff is six and seven feet tall it doesn't look that big until you see that difference right there joe you're going to owe me some adult beverages after this one but it's fun i'm enjoying learning this mower and this is really i'm i'm going about three times faster than i would typically mow with a regular rotary cutter so the flail mower kicks butt for sure we're going to be doing some rotary cutter reviews pretty soon so look for that on the channel be awesome you guys like this kind of stuff pound the like button jump in subscribe the channel i'd love to have you back let's put this dude around as i turn once again turn that wheel nice and sharp this thing lifts up off the ground it gives me an opportunity to re-level it then i'll turn again and it drops back down just cruises along the ground [Music] do [Music] we are out here for day two of this activity and man we've made a ton of progress i'm gonna hop out of the tractor real quick and show you this is going to be the rough day you can tell how quiet the cab is by when i open the tractor door um crawl down here this is okay i'm six foot five this stuff's over my head man we've got some trees this is about a six foot tree right here no biggie no biggie to chop that stuff up but we got some bigger stuff in here so we're gonna toss a drone up get you a little bit of footage of this thing just working methodically through this brush now i am finding that briars like my legs i am finding that the muscle mower is kicking butt however when i go over this big stuff i may need to go over it with the deck a little bit higher so you may see me do a mow through with the deck a little bit high and then the deck a little bit low you'll see from the air there are two sections i've sectioned this off into basically three sections this part the part over there that's a little bit easier to get to and the part that i already did so i started with the easy stuff and we're working our way through to the hard stuff so let's get the drone up in the air and you'll get some awesome footage of what this looks like right now and what it looks like later on and as we work it's a great time in case you're curious about getting a flail mower for yourself this is the garapa 210 792 kilograms it's a monster this thing is super heavy i think it's rated for tractors uh between 70 and 110 horsepower i do believe so we're pushing the max horsepower we've got 98 pto horsepower right here so that's it that's what's going on [Music] [Applause] [Music] uh [Music] so [Music] [Applause] hey [Music] [Music] oh wait look at what big t did man it's dusty out here holy cow guys you've got to see this disaster turn pretty it's super cool man i cannot say enough about the mosquito mower again i'll post links to the tractor and the mower in the video description for you guys look at that that's the after wow unbelievable i've still got a little bit more mowing to do back here we'll get a good drone shot of the whole completed job i left a few trees here these are longleaf pine trees i left a few of them here just for the sake of wildlife and stuff like that so way way cool as i was working my way through there i saw all sorts of praying mantis eggs so i think i'm gonna stop and harvest a bunch of those and maybe we'll do a future video on how to get more praying mantises to your farm just completely clogged up so when you're mowing like this and you're mowing in heavy stuff you really got to pay attention there's a whole bale of hay stuck in the grill so we got to keep that cleaned out watch your temperature on your machine the temperature never got up even though the grill is slapped full on this tym tractor it is completely full so it might be a good idea if i'm doing this again to bring like a broom or something with me but that's it it didn't overheat awesome see you next time
