foreign [Music] listen to the sound of this so people like the great players they make it look so easy great sound great delivery great contact that shaft lean that consistency of strike in this video we're going to be looking at how the elbows really work the hands and the wrists to help you deliver that club head on a perfect plane a perfect entering and that club head is such a great position to really improve your ball striking let's have a look at some great drills and exercises and some really interesting clips and angles we look at the Fred Couples drill later on in the video I think it's a fantastic way to practice and get on the path to playing some fantastic golf guys if you're new to the Channel Please Subscribe and if you do like the video give us a thumbs up all right let's get started so people right the important message here to get across everyone is getting your wrist alignments set up correctly on the way back it's very simple but very powerful and it's really going to help us get to part two which is some great drills and exercises coming down into your downswing but just to understand a little bit better what we're actually trying to do here with this Trail wrist okay so when we're moving the club away you can see that that club head is set up on my spine angle or it's set up to if that was 12 o'clock there'd be a clock over the face from your side it'll be one o'clock my side 11. now to do that what I've done is I've got the right wrist breaking back in itself and this is a speed accumulator all right if we get this right hand working in the correct fashion we're just gonna have a quick look at a couple of moves here and this is going to really set up your wrist alignments which also helps you assemble your swings a little bit better at the top here and we're going to get some great structure and it just makes the downswing that even easier so on the way back you've got your right hand pointed downwards it's breaking back on itself okay it's almost like when we're painting a wall here we're getting this with a paintbrush we're getting this right wrist to pick up an angle but the Palm is pointed down and away okay now this will get the lead wrist flat but this also helps us stay down with our shoulders and when we get to the top of the Swing what it does is if it really help keep your left shoulder down and that way you can really pick up some angle in the back of this wrist and so that you're getting some creases here on your in the skin on the back of this wrist this is really setting yourself up to shallow out your plane with huge power and compression and speed one of the great feels that you can use you want to keep it simple and this is one of the great ways is to get this Bullseye just to point away from you so you've got that right hand breaking back on itself almost as far as it'll go and this left shoulder moves down and that way we can get ourselves to a assemble the swing really really well at the top at such a powerful and strong position Now setting that right hand up enables us to move into a perfect downswing position we're going to have a look now what that actually is that position moving down and then we're going to talk about feels and some drills to help us all deliver this clubhab into this PGA Tour zone so that we can strike the ball much more consistently so if it really is possible to say that there are some secret moves some hidden moves in the golf swing especially when we're looking at certain angles and what great players have in common now let's have a look at this this is Dodge camera for the Asian to a fantastic iron player one of the guys that I teach and let's have a look at the first up the angle in the back of that trial rest all right there's a big Angle now let's have a look at this first move now he's leading with the hips we can see that now you see that he's separating the bottom half but watch as the right shoulder almost Works back that trial so almost Works back as the elbow which the elbow push in now this is how you get a great plane is that your lower your plane you've got the angle in that trial wrist and you're turning this club into a battering ram so your delivery you've got the club here coming down in pure position have a look at that elbow how close it is into the side here uh this is really interesting have a look at Tommy Fleetwood on this site right now watch his arm position watch how he pushes the bottom part of the elbow in which how he changes those two angles all right now just for a second we're going to be technical without being mechanical just have a look at this number here right 70 and as he comes down he's changed it so he's brought the elbow in the bottom part of the elbow now we've got 78 so he's gonna increase it by about eight degrees now we've seen Faldo oh look at that move they make it look pretty easy but I'm going to show you how you can feel this move coming up and this this area I mean we've seen it with so many of the great ball Strikers haven't we so unfortunately I'm going to have a look at some ambulance coming up they're doing the absolute opposite here which is not what we want look at Mike Austin just bringing that elbow in so guys let's have a look at some really interesting uh positions and angles here have a look at that angle there that right Richmond Tony fleetwoods once we get this right elbow and wrist working effectively it just makes everything so much easier so guys there it is right there okay that's your that's your goal the slot position now it doesn't matter where you're from but start of Swing you have what your name is how old you are how young you are this is what we're trying to do right the closer you get to this position the better you're going to hit it the further away you are from this entry this delivery the worse you're going to hit it and this is this is a fact and this is why we film our Swings with our mobile phones so some people are in a different swing Styles but guys I mean this delivery this is the truth so people this video is about how to deliver the club head perfectly into the back of the golf ball it's not just about this movement I'm about to show you but for a lot of the amateurs what we do see is we see the right elbow the right forearm actually steepening see that move there I'll draw a line down see where that's pointing now see where it was pointing now this is this internal rotation that seems to be almost like a natural move there's so many of the amateurs but not everybody's doing that so we're going to cover all areas here coming up now it is however as I said so many of the players are struggling with that this initial move from the top and steepening coming down which is causing an awful chain reaction on the rest of the Swing so people that's where the great players are splitting through the forearm and getting this club to come down level or slightly behind the hands now some of the positions we don't want open face over this way so let's have a look at where this hand if I take away the big Club there so that right wrist angle it's got a huge angle in the back of that trail wrist now that's important that's why we spoke about the backswing setting up this right wrist angle on the way back so that we can keep that on the way down you see where that club head is there now from this other side this right elbow it's important that we don't get this internal rotation this internal movement because when we do we steepen it it's pretty much a natural movement for millions of people out there so I'm going to show you something that's a little bit unnatural here and we're going to lead in a little bit with this elbow meaning that if that was a Finish Line and I'm coming in I want my elbow to hit the Finish Line before the hands because when that happens I come in with the plane too Steep and this helps me bring or lead in with his elbow as long as I've got that angle in that wrist setting up that angle that hand is pointed downwards okay so look if you had a mobile phone and you're coming in the phone's pointed down and away and if I get the phone to point up and I can see the face of the phone I'm coming from the outside look what happens with the angle of that wrist once I have that angle set up it's really broken back on itself and that's why this backswing is really essential and getting the balls away because we're creating that angle from the get-go so you know getting your downswing in a great place has a lot to do with your backswing let's have a look at some great drills that we're going to lead this elbow in get this wonderful external position rather than this internal position and so things that we should really really look out for what class golf instructions improving golfers between 4 and 11 shots your swing analyst video is the same as this YouTube format except with your swing on the screen it goes between 15 to 30 minutes with tailored drills and exercises a higher level of instruction at a cheaper price 1 300 video 75 separate series reach out to us in the chat room and get on the path of playing your best golf foreign move from the top getting the bottom of this elbow joint to push just slightly in towards the right elbow towards the left in regards to this area where photo spoken other great players this move of the elbow moving in towards the left it is a great move to experiment around with and what you can do is just by getting into your practice swings doing them slowly getting up to the top pushing the right elbow in towards the left is you can really get that wrist to work back on itself I I practice a lot of the time with this because in my swing when I come down I it's helped me shallow out my plane a lot and it's this hangar system I put it two finger widths away here from my lead forearm and when it touches the forearm it gets the club head in a really strong position and just coming out of the top I like to keep the connection because if I get a little bit like this it steepens me a little bit and then other things happen so it's it's been a great training aid for me now if you're interested there is a 20 discount or a discount code in the description you can jump on and use it I think it's great for all areas of the game now getting to the top what you can feel if you're not using this but you can you can just get a feeling of pushing this elbow in towards the left but when you get down into this position here making sure that this right hand is pointed downwards and the elbows lead it leading in you can get a feeling here of keeping your elbows together this drill is only really helps shallow the plane and this is an interesting one so getting to the top and pushing the elbow towards the left and getting that right hand to point down leading in with his elbow is a wonderful place to help you shallow but also square up this face on the way down so guys you're alignment just plays such an important role in the correct delivery of the club and the club head into the golf ball so let's talk about this because there's a lot of people struggling to bring the club in within the correct fashion here and aiming out to the right is just a complete disaster really on your golf swing now let's have a look at Amy Wright does because it's just you know a lot of people are struggling to pull the ball or pulling the ball I should say and they aim out to the right now aiming out to the right not knowing that you're doing it really promotes the incorrect internal rotation of the elbow and the forearm into the golf ball it also promotes spinning when we spin we sit back and we flip when we flip it closes the face and we pull it back to the Target when we flip we lose half Lane easy hit of fat and thin and moving into the golf ball we have a big gap normally here from the elbow to that trail hip now not good all right so if you're pulling the ball fight and aim straight or slightly left we're seeing the best ball Strikers in the world really of all time I'm slightly left a lot of them most of them and straight now from the test that Dr Robert Neal's done we're seeing that aiming slightly left now what does this promote well it promotes an inside path because when we get set up correctly the the target will appear more to the right so it promotes an inside path it promotes lateral shift I'm saying it promotes it it helps to get it it promotes shaft lean all these great things in your golf swing all right so we're going to talk about how to do this what I've done here is I've put some shafts and you can put in golf balls get them in one line get behind it and practice your routine and practice effectively so what I like to do here is when we're moving in is when we're talking about our intermediate Target it's a a Target it's about a meter in front of the golf ball so we get ourselves set up the club head is set up to or lined up here to your intermediate Target and then you align your body to the club head and you can practice that bull intermediate Target Target back to the intermediate Target and ball once again to get yourself set up ball intermediate Target Target bacterium intermediate Target and ball and then you can run your eyes up and down these lines training the muscles in your eyes and it what it really does you can feel it in your practice it makes you feel like your elbow wants to come in it makes you feel like you want to move through the ball a little bit more underneath now a great way to practice this is by really getting your head to turn on the side it's almost like you could feel like if your ear was full with water right you're leading in with this elbow a little bit and you're trying to let that water drip out of your ear and this move forwards with your knees and your head it's a great way the other way is pulling it this way right so this is a great way to feel this move a slight sinking the knees the head moving slightly on the side and this elbow moving in to get this correct external rotation of the shoulder in the forearm you want to feel like the arm is lined up in this position that the wrist is really in line with the elbow and we're not coming in this way with the hand in front of the elbow so by creating this type of feel into the golf ball this elbow is really coming in deep and if that was the finish line that elbow's coming in for first and this is what happens when we feel like the target is more on the right so guys right today I want to talk to you about Live View Golf and we know that these days every top player is filming their swings right and video really is the best feedback for your golf swing this thing here is absolutely mind-blowing really you could see yourself simultaneously as you're making movements it works off sound so you hit a shot played back automatically you don't have to touch the screen hooks up to your iPad and your iPhone and you can look down at it and stay in posture like you can even put the camera or the live view back here draw a line on your belt buckle to see where that is have a look at your takeaway rather than looking in mirrors and trying to get this this is the best way to train guys it's an absolute no-brainer and I highly recommend if you're a dedicated golfer working with this amazing device you can draw your lines with angles I've been showing a lot of people on YouTube the 40 degree shoulder rule the PGA averages of movement 55 degrees through the ball 12 degrees of sharpening and you can get in there and get closer to these proven averages of movement the closer you get the better your hit
