fishing can be hard but it can also be incredibly rewarding as fish can make you super rich in this game let's turn you into a Master Angler so how do you fish well it's simple cast your fishing line into some water wait for a bite and click then this little fishing minigame will appear this game is simple just keep the fish inside of the green bar you can move the ball by clicking or holding the interact key it takes some practice but you'll get the hang of it in no time my best advice is to avoid holding the key in and try tapping instead if you are just starting to fish then you might find it really difficult don't worry this is normal it's hard until it gets easy to make your life much easier I would highly recommend buying a training fishing rod from Willy it only costs 25 gold so you have nothing to lose this fishing rod will make sure that only easy fish bite onto your fishing rod additionally it will also increase the size of your fishing bar to be the same size as if you were level 5 fishing this makes fishing easier but most importantly this makes getting perfect catches easier allowing you to both practice the fishing mini game and level up your fishing skill much quicker you will get bonus experience whenever you get a perfect catch and whenever you get efficient treasure chest once you have reached level 5 fishing you should stop using the training Rod immediately at that point the benefits are very small and you will lose money and fishing progress fishing can be a little bit boring if you do not upgrade your fishing rod with a normal or boring fishing rod you will sit here for a very long time waiting for the fish to bite the fiberglass fishing rod is the first upgrade that you can get this will allow you to use bait do not underestimate the bait it makes a massive difference fishing bait will allow you to catch more fish in a single day allowing you to level up quicker make more money and just have more fun there are a few different types of bait first you will get the old-fashioned regular bait you can craft this stuff using bug meat or you can simply buy them from Willy next we have the magnets the magnet will increase the likelihood of getting a fishing treasure chest while fishing and I will show you how to almost guarantee fishing treasure chests shortly next we have wild bait you can get this stuff after reaching four hearts of Linus and it will give you a small chance that you will catch two fish at the same time instead of just one it's really amazing when it does happen but while bait is really expensive to craft when compared to regular Bay the last type of bait is a magic bait and you can only get this stuff at Mr Key's magical shop magic bait is incredible if you are lazy like myself this stuff will allow you to catch any fish no matter what season it is it even allows you to catch fish that would normally only be able to be caught during the winter night market stop you see those bubbles when you see those you stop what you are doing and start fishing there immediately these will cause you to catch fish four times faster combine that with bait and you'll be swimming with the fishes in no time if the bubbles are in a weird spot you can hold down the movement keys to angle the rod you will see a light blue glimmer if you have made it within the range of the bubbles once you have 7500 gold just laying around you should most definitely upgrade to an iridium fishing rod this Rod is a massive upgrade as it can have fishing tackle trust me fishing tackle is very important if you want to be truly successful while some of the fishing tackle is highly effective others are just not that good the spinner and the dressed spinner fishing tackle do the exact same thing they reduce the time between bites these can be very good if your goal is to catch tons of fish in a single day and if you are capable of catching those fish without the help of some of the other fishing tackles like the Trap Barber for example this is by far one of the best fishing tackles that you can use against a really hard fish like the lava eel and most importantly like the legendary fish the Trap bobber fishing tackle will reduce the rate at which the progress bar decreases by 33 percent it sounds small and insignificant but it makes a massive difference use this when trying to catch hard fish the cork bobber is another fishing tackle that you can use to catch hard fish instead of slowing down the progress bar this fishing tackle increases the size of your fishing boat if you combine this with the most efficient Rod enchantment and some buffed up seafoam pudding your fishing bar could be this big look at it how could anything Escape you with this massive fishing bar the lid bobber will stop your bar from bouncing when it hits the bottom this is absolutely useless in my opinion so don't even bother the treasure hunter fishing tackle is actually really good if your goal is to get more fishing treasure chests this fishing tackle will only increase the chances of finding treasure by five percent however if you stack this with all of the other things you can get a massive 60 chance to get a fishing treasure chest with every single cost first pick the Fisher profession and then the Pirates profession at level 10 fishing then use magnus's bait and the treasure hunter fishing tackle then wait for the best possible luck day and use as many luck boosts as you can you will be swimming in Treasure in no time the barbed Hook is a really fun one if you pair this with the auto hook enchantment and some buffed up seafoam pudding you can fish of almost no effort just cast your line into the water lift the auto hook enchantment grab the fish for you and then let the barbed hook move the bar for you this does unfortunately only work on easy to medium difficulty fish the Curiosity Leo is a really strange one in my opinion you cannot buy or craft this and will need to get lucky in the mines this will increase the likelihood of catching rare fish but it only works on a select few so it's not that useful in most situations ah the quality bobber this is kind of amazing in my opinion this will raise the level of fish by one if you have a high enough fishing level this will basically guarantee that you only catch iridium quality fish it's great if you plan to make money by fishing at the later stages of the game yes this does work on legendary fish as well however I would wish you good luck on catching them without a better Fishing Tackle fishing food is important it just is there are so many dishes that you can eat to increase your fishing level higher levels equal bigger fishing bar it is important to note that your fishing level can exceed level 10 take full advantage of this here is a list of all of the food that you can eat to increase your fishing level to be honest the best ones on this list is the trout soup because it is so easy to obtain the dish of the sea because it's so easy to cook and the seafoam pudding because it gives the highest fishing bonus out of all of them Additionally you can use key seasoning on any of the cooked meals to increase the bonus by one and if you are really struggling you can enchant your fishing rod with the master enchantment at the forge to always be at level 11 fishing pair this with seafoam pudding cooked with key seasoning and you will be at level 16 fishing no fish will dare stop you if you are feeling confident in your fishing then you can try and catch the legendary fish the Crimson fish is the first legendary that you will most likely catch and you can find him on this platform by the beach during summer the angle is your next victim and you can find this little guy on this bridge during fall during winter you can catch the glacier fish this one is quite difficult and you can find it on this Arrowhead Island right over here inside of the Eerie sewers you can catch the legendary mutant carp this one is not hard to catch but does not bite very frequently lost and most definitely not least the mighty Legend to catch this guy you will need to be level 10 fishing you can only find the legend in front of the mines during spring however the legend will only show themselves when it is raining this is a hard fish use all of the tips in this video and you will conquer it now
