Would you like to know about Alliums in my garden and how I plant them?

[Music] hello hello welcome to my garden today i will talk about alum such an incredible bulb plants you plant the bulbs in the autumn here in denmark scandinavia we plant them around october november and then they are starting to flower by the end of may or in the beginning of june and now you can see they are just amazing i just love them because they have this flower balls i think they are great and i'm growing different varieties first of all i am growing allium aflatunense purple sensation this is the most common variety and um i'm also growing one mole the other one is um alum globemaster and it's a stunning plants see for example here all the bots and the great thing with alum globemaster is that this variety is flowering um about two weeks later than elion efrazzone's purple sensation so it means that you can if you plant both horizons you can have alliums for longer times on this side of the driveway we have shade but over here there are more sun and here you can see that globemaster is just amazing here you have globe master in full flower and alum effects sonensa is almost finished but it's still nice because you have the green seed heads i'm growing the alliums together with such a beautiful plants i would say it's quite seldom seen this is shmeonium perfoliatum a woodland plant and i just love the satorius flowers together with the purple alums i think it's such a great companionship it's um quite easy to combine allium with other plants and let's go in the garden and i will show you one example more i just love naturalistic planting and i will say that allium it's such a great plant together with the wild plants here just now i really adore anthriscus sylvestres ravenswing the cow parsley with the small flowers and i also think that bistarta officinalis is such a great plant i have been focused on the violet and lilac varieties but there are also some white ones and if we go to the next garden room i will show you them [Music] do [Music] the white variety you see here is mont everest and i think it um look like can you say soap bubbles i think you understand what i mean and you can see it's a bit higher than um purple sensation and globe master and if you look here you can see i'm using it all over this room together with many companion plants at the end i also want to tell you that you can you can also grow alliums in half shades it's okay for them they don't need full sun and i really think that this is such an incredible plant and if you don't have alliums in the garden i hope that you will decide to plant them and as i have told in the beginning you need to plant the bulbs in september october but you can also plant them in november thank you so much for watching here goodbye goodbye [Music] [Music] you
