Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Is your airplane physically on fire?
No, but part of it's missing. They said there was a hole and someone went out.
I'm sorry you said there is a hole and somebody went out? ... Southwest 1380 it doesn't matter, we'll work it out there.
Absolute pro.
God damn, I absolutely love the professionalism of the ATCs and Pilots. It's really something to listen to. It's amazing how calm and maintained they are.
Interesting thing to note is how the pilots sounded while talking. The oxygen masks on emergency setting actually provide positive pressure to your lungs to basically force air into them. Itβs hard to talk while wearing the mask because as soon as you open your throat to try and vocalize, the O2 pushes back. You end up having to force your words out and itβs difficult. You can hear it at the end of sentences . Very funny feeling .
This woman was a US naval aviator. Apart from the number of souls she was responsible for during this incident, I guarantee this is not the most stressful or dangerous situation she has ever been in.
Wait so there was one fatality? Did a passenger straight up get sucked out of that window?
God, and to think I always like having wing seats.
well this was intense. I can't imagine being on board.
wow, that pilot is cool as a cucumber the whole time. Major respect for her doing such a great job in a such a strange emergency situation.
She's a fucking boss!
