Windows 11 24H2: Upgrade using official ISO file (preview)

hello everyone in this lesson we're going to look at steps to upgrade early to Windows 11 version 24 H2 I have previously uploaded a video with the easiest way to install version 24 H2 from the windows Insider program using the Windows update settings but it appears that some users are having some issues getting the update so I'm creating this video as a second option to upgrade using the latest ISO file available for the 2024 update it is important to know that you will be installing a version of Windows that it hasn't been finished so it is not recommended to use it on your primary computer instead you should use this on a spare computer or a virtual machine also a backup is always recommended okay let to steps to upgrade a computer running version 23 H2 or 22 H2 to version 24 work first we need to download the latest preview for Windows 11 version 24 H2 you can download the ISO file in two different ways you can actually watch my other video which shows the different ways to download the latest ISO file using the link in the description below for this lesson I'm going to be using the official Microsoft download website and to do that open the browser and go to this website and here you need to sign in with your Microsoft account and then you will be able to access the download page scroll down and then in here select the latest preview available for Windows 11 in the release preview Channel which in this case is 26,100 560 and then click the confirm button now we're going to select the language for the installation and then click the confirm button now just save the file to your computer while the ISO file continues to download I just wanted to point out that we will be doing an in place upgrade which means that all your files apps and settings will be migrated automatically to the new installation and you will not have to go through the Autobox experience to finish setting up the device because you already had a setup configure on the computer however as I said before it is a good idea to have a backup of your computer in case you need to roll back or something happens to your files now that the file has been downloaded we need to open file explore and locate the folder where the ISO file has been stored now that we have the latest ISO for Windows 11 just right click on the file and select the mount option going to click the open button and now inside of the Virtual Drive we're going to see the installation files we just need to double click the setup.exe file which is this one right here and now the upgrade experience is going to and now the setup experience is going to launch you don't need to check this option to speed up the process I'm going to click this option and I'm going to skip getting the updates for this particular release you can always update later after the installation then click the next button now click the set set button to confirm the terms now when the setup is ready to install the new version of Windows 11 just click the install button and now the upgrade process to version 24 H2 2 is going to begin the installation process will take around like 15 20 minutes and even more but that will depend on the hardware configuration on your device also during the process the computer will restart a few times once the upgrade completes you will be back into the S screen and that's that's it we just completed the upgrade to Windows 11 version 24 H2 using the latest preview available through the Microsoft support website for Windows insiders now if you want to confirm that you're running version 24 H2 simply open star and let's go to settings and then on system about we can confirm that we are on version 24 H2 however since we used the ISO file you might still be Miss missing some updates and the last thing you want to do is just go to Windows update make sure to turn on this option and then click the check for updates button and download any of the available updates it is important to not that during the preview time you might not get all the features also since this particular update will add a lot of um AI features you will need a computer that actually meets the requirements to use a specific features such as Windows recall like captions Studio Effects and many others for those you will need a copilot plus BC with the latest qualcon Snap Dragon X Elite processor that also includes an mpu and this PC will also come with at least 16 GB of RAM and 256 gigs of SSD which are also required to run many of the new AI features if the feature update is not
