you read it okay I'm going to the sixteenth psalm the sixteen psalm and they're only eleven verses even though the text is coming from verse eight and the Lord just has me preaching this over and over again and I'm just going to follow him so Psalm 16 beginning at verse one ending at verse 11 and I'm preaching I'm reading from the King James Version you may have another version here against the reading of God's holy word preserve me O God for in thee do I put my trust oh my soul thou has sent unto the Lord thou art my lord my goodness extended not to thee but to the sensor in the earth and to the excellent in whom is all my delight their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after up God their drink offerings of blood will I not offer nor take up their names in two the Lord is a portion of my inheritance and of my cup they'll maintain as my lot the lines are fallen unto me in Pleasant places yay I have a goodly heritage I will bless the Lord was given me counsel my rains also to plow into verse eight the whole Psalm is too rich but just first eight I just want to stay there for a minute and I just want to ask you a question will you be here and I don't mean physically but of people who have stood the test of time when it comes to walking with the Lord my mother is 104 she will be at the end of the month and we're going to celebrate her birthday and she's still standing in the Lord is it possible to be in this kind of generation at this season in the history of this world and be saved is it possible to be in and among and not be off is it possible to live with all of these distractions and options and seductions and still maintain a steady commitment is it possible not to change up deconstruct water down kind of customize the gospel to suit our preferences is it possible to have a preference but giving up for God is it us to like something but like him more is it is it possible to leave Church and live it is it possible to leave this conference and go home and live what you have heard is it possible to make hard choices when it comes to ambition and relationship and popularity in neediness and choose Christ's above it all are there people in the world who live like this are we just a bunch of hypocrites that know when to dip when to come up when to wave went to holla one to cliche it and then walk out of here and live any kind of way we want to is it possible to come out of this and be strengthened in the Lord is it possible the world thinks that we're a bunch of hypocrites the world the world meant the world put money on us that they studied us enough they watched us and they know that there's some things they make movie on us and they redefine us and we have submitted to their redefinition you see America is not going to get rid of Christianity because she can't but she can redefine Christianity and we can agree but here I love this text I love it I love it I love it I love the Psalms I love the Psalms I do love the whole book with the Psalms are very powerful especially in my devotion I believe that spending time with God alone alone without the TV without the chatter without company is a thing that strengthens me daily daily I need that time yes I am dependent I am codependent I'm dependent on him yes I do need him every hour yes I do I need him every hour every day I need him all day long I need him at night I need him when I wake up in the morning and I don't apologize so when you spend time with the Lord and he ministers to you and he gives you what you need you're able to maintain a certain you're able to step certain way carry yourself a certain way and you're able to make choices based on that belief system so you're not easily seduced sometimes you feel yourself ending but you come right by blessed is a man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly standing in the way of sinners know what sit sit in the seat of the scornful don't you have lunch ah but his or her delight is in the law of the Lord and in this law that you want meditate day and night you shall be like a tree planted I'd have mercy by the rivers of waters who bring it for this fruit in its season whose leaf also shall not wither you won't have a fake anointing whose leaves also shall not wither but whatsoever you do it ah shall prosper the ungodly not so they're like the chaff that the wind driving away come on ladies and gentlemen if you take counsel only from God you need to celebrate him right now put your hands together and crazy so behind every every literary piece but particularly the poetical books you know this is where some belongs to that section of the Bible called the books of poetry like Song of Solomon in Ecclesiastes and job in Proverbs they all represent the the the poetical books and in these what peace means what joy means find out what holiness meter sit down with your word so try to look to somebody to always tell you you know how to eat eat this book turn off the TV and stop trying to
