Will It Start?! 1987 Ford F250 6.9 IDI Diesel

what's going on guys we're back we're gonna do a uh we'll start on a 87 Ford F-250 with the six nine IDI diesel in it and I got my cousin Thomas here today we're gonna see if this thing will start up we're gonna if it don't we're gonna hit with the Cosby in a can Thomas say hello what up okay so we're heading uh heading down there right now we got a battery and some uh calls me in a can see if we can get this thing going remember warning I'm gonna start a Certified mechanic who's wearing swim shorts right now so bad boy to start we don't know nothing about it it's just been sitting here look at the plate and see the last time it was registered let's see usually that usually tells us about the time they've been sitting in it so that's helpful and I believe it's a five-speed four-speed it is they actually they actually did do those on a four-speed [Music] the first couple production years were four speed and then they came later with the overdrive what a zf-5 I think they put in them yeah that should uh zf5 sufficep I don't know what before I don't know what four speed was when either no probably a ZF something [Music] all righty all right this is not hot as hell out here today here she is what a hard life that thing's left yeah someone came and busted out all the windows all right I have this battery sucking son of a that takes two batteries right yeah but that's a big enough battery it should start it nah we got the jumping cables oh what do we got here in here Critters hmm someone had that off is any oil in it ain't got no gas in it uh if there's an oil dipstick um yeah it's gone it should be right there so it can identify identical oil in it because evidently someone needed the dipstick more than it did all right well we're still gonna start it we're gonna send it I'm sure there's got to be something in there yeah this is the main side fudge oh God [Music] either [Music] you don't need coolant just put bug juice in it bug juice identifies as coolant I don't see why not ah you grab the biggest battery we have well after uh the uh log skidder incident I am going to be using a big batteries there's that one battery came out of that truck it was small smaller battery and I drove a truck down there and it won't even start the damn thing so then I grab that battery and then it it started so we keep getting Walmart batteries I know I was talking crap about them and then oh my battery scream quality yeah yeah they're good and bad so that's all I have out here Poor Man's battery I like NAPA batteries myself yep six nine right there granted six nine liters I'm not much of a battery connoisseur since I was I I pretty much get throwaway batteries from work and repurpose them into my cars until they stopped starting them yeah she's pretty she's a good life got some tool boxes that you know this is actually pretty good uh electric stuff in there all right these things usually have a latch right there right there oh wow I'm stuck in here lots of stuff oh yeah good thing there's nobody home right there yeah this is actually nice so toolbox other than someone sideswiped it but these all close there's some binders in there nice where's the plate oh where is the plate there's that one why is there another license plate on it huh I think where'd that come from I don't even know if that's any good I'm just gonna put it in the second spot and probably hook the jumper cables up to it guarantee you value cable connections is going to be a problem because those ones over there suck ass are we gonna Peg Leg it oh totally put it right into the danger zone as soon as we get it running that's what they like you can't start a six nine or a seven throw on top putting it right near the engine room put it right and a ketchup it's right off the Hop and you don't need oil we got a screwdriver I should probably gonna start You know what last time I did all this I always make sure to put my tools up so but you know what this thing has bound to have a screwdriver in it I guess let me see if I can get the shipping crate this will work won't it wow you guys know what that is that's a dipstick out of like a grater or old cat d8 oh it is yeah that's funny I recognized it hold on I'm coming this thing is all up and I mean fudged up and sure oh it's gonna crank oh yeah all right you do the Autos just put it right into the ketchup yeah all right let's go okay so is it gonna get Cosby are we gonna keep trying um let's see here let me hit this oh oh I hear air oh yep look we already got fuel it's got uh it's leaking from the injectors they all do that yeah remember RockAuto they make reboot kits for these and they're cheap oh yeah what's it called is this some weird name standard products I think an injector injector return line reboot kits yeah I seen them someone was telling me about it all right go ahead all right she's getting the juice okay you're gonna have to give it just a little bit because you know it's gonna eat a lot hard instantly oh no you just gotta give it all of it no it's gonna eat it all right go ahead you do that good gotta hold the How You Gonna well I can't camera my I can't camera man in okay fine oh yeah oh oh I'll just let that burn its way out well it should have took off I gave it enough either you gave it a lot it's like oh it's a lot we got air in there still kept shocking me too that was annoying me oh he's still doing it we're gonna just go in there and use the key then all right ready too it says I was full tank all right maybe if you turn the key on it might have stayed running huh [Laughter] the key should have been on oops I thought you turned it on look at that your eyes are good holy crap we're in the ketchup what's that any checks coolant on the floor look oh wow oh I should turn the heat off oh he is off that's how you know the heater core is good oh we've got a little pressure oh good that means there's some oil in it [Music] the volt mirror that don't work it's got all pieces oh yeah one two three four clutch oh it's kind of um oh yeah oh two three four hey hey bud the thing's got fit it's five speed [Music] three [Music] yeah so someone swap that in or or something because like I said I was for these things came with the four speed [Music] oh they're all got a little stuck there come on that's all got stuck I was gonna put some water in it but there's no water in that tank [Music] that's amazing that thing started I have no idea how long this thing has sat me guys I really know someone broke all the windows out of it [Music] [Music] holy what's that well does it move well they had the axles around out of it look there's no uh axles in there so I don't know what's up with that I think the Driveline [Music] oh yeah you can see the driveline's spinning go on there I can feel it [Music] so basically someone was doing a front load driver off with it I'm positive before I went in [Music] it's just soft it's going to go to fit because there's no fish oh oh I mean you've seen it Go in see look [Music] the speedo is working [Music] yeah sounds so bad [Music] [Music] oh wow how's our radio still works it's gotten rained on through the past I don't know how many years I guess that's all four to ten years make a good stereo huh tape in there too how dare they advertise a high-speed truck and only have four speed [Music] [Music] cruising
