WILD CAMPING in my dream TENT

so finally i'm back while camping again very excited and a little bit anxious but i have managed to pick up my dream tent so when i get to the top of the hill get pitched up hopefully everything will as well hey let's get pitched up so this is the obvious place to pitch up nice and flat and these rocks offer a bit of protection from the wind here it is attention my dreams well at least i'm hoping so i've never pitched it yet so i have opened it up just to check that everything's there which is apart from one thing which i'll show you in a minute so the tent is the tarp tent scarp one these are the stakes that come with it these are eastern eight inch i believe so i have seen a couple of videos on how to pitch it but that's all i've done i'll just pop a stake in to stop it blowing away you can't miss the sleeve anyway not with that colour the little pocket at the end of the pole fits in same at that end and then i think you pull on that strap to hold it in place what a gorgeous looking tent that is i love it now these are for the optional uh structural cross poles which i have bought but i haven't brought them with me today that's the bit i said was missing it's not missing it just doesn't come supplied with guy lines for the side and for that price i think it should but i have pinched a couple of another tent so i'll just use them for tonight for a one-man tent this is huge a palace you could easily fit two people in there so that's me pitched up for the night i've just chucked a couple of guy lines on there looks like we're gonna have a mega sunset as well at the moment we've not got a breath of wind so i mentioned at the start of the video i was feeling a wee bit anxious about coming out tonight i think that has just been a pre-match nerves because i've not been out for five months i'm a little bit rusty i think i was a little bit worried that i'd forget something or up while i was doing the setup which incidentally i have forgot something but it's only my pillow so i'll use my jacket i can live without it for one night hey let's take a look inside shall we that's the settle for tonight quilt sleeping pad and the jacket is going to be my pillow really surprised with how much room is in here i know it's early but this could be new favorite tent so there's plenty of ventilation options one of these either side the zips come down from the top i did get the tent seam sealed at the factory so it's a much better job than i could do it's got some really interesting ventilation options so this zips up and then the bungee pulls up onto here i've actually got it set up on this side look so that will give me plenty of air in the night and there's a door at either side so for one man tent that's a luxury so from this door i get to see the sunset and then in the morning i'll just open the other door and watch the sunrise i reckon it's time to grab a fizz and watch the sun set what that went to plan take two a little bit better cheers waited so nearly 40 minutes since the sunset still got all that color look at all the fairy lights down there is that curry done yet i'm famished it's getting a bit chilly but i want to stay out here in this it's gorgeous and best jump in there though we've got an early start tomorrow all right so i'm gonna get out these clothes and get into bed i'll quickly show you how much rooms in here though let's move on with bright red socks but there's acres of space over here look so you could get two people in it would be tight but for one man tent this is immense all right then i'll see you in the morning good morning campers all past five beat me alarm quite a lot of condensation that's my fault i think some idiots forgot to open the vents last night looks very sparkly on the fly though so i'm guessing there's a bit of frost getting a little microfiber sponge on it not that bad actually told you it was cold proper frost i think we need to get up there though see what's going off the other side of the rocks looking lush the scarp blends in quite well doesn't it just some of this frost off and then get the kettle on what a breakfast that's gorgeous it's been a while since i've actually seen this one guys still a bit fresh though the time lapse didn't work very well you just have to look over my shoulder that's everything out of the tent it's gonna have to have a good dry off when it gets home we'll see how long it takes to take down and then we'll reflect on what i've learned from last night's camp these eastern stakes hold really well undo that little clip to relieve the pressure the pole flicks out should have kept my gloves on all right so from what i've seen you just bring those three together having three poles here makes this really robust and then these are brought over together like that took a few bits in and roll it up not too bad it's only took about five minutes that all right because it's got built-in poles it doesn't pack down as small as i would normally like a tent to be i guess that's a compromise for the extra rigidity so the first thing that i've learned from this trip is that this way mark pack is really comfortable it's also the quietest pack that i've got but i do miss having a pocket on the top so this roll top will take some getting used to also if you don't practice regularly you do forget the odd thing didn't bring my pillow and packing wasn't very organized took me a while to find everything but as long as you haven't forgotten anything major like your tent and you can usually get by and the last one is just how much i've missed coming camping last night was awesome although it got down to below freezing was toasty warm inside my quilt so if you're thinking of trying wild camping for the first time get
