[Music] hi everyone my name is richard zhang technical marketing engineer at cisco's enterprise networking business unit today we're going to be talking about how cisco's catalyst y56 access points with multi-gigabit switching produced the fastest wireless throughput in the market today with an astounding speed of over 2 gigabits per second this completely changes the game and colossal over the sub gigabits per second previously possible with a one gigabit switch connection but are such speeds really necessary the truth is this generation's growing thirst for technology to provide a more next-gen and seamless experience has resulted in data consumption for technology to absolutely skyrocket an example of this is ak vr streaming which will require a staggering two gigabits per second for an optimal experience with such high data consuming technology around the corner we can only imagine what else is in the future and whether your current network can handle it to explore how we can experience the fastest wireless throughput let's start by looking at cisco's top of the line wi-fi six portfolio the catalyst 9100 series access points this portfolio consists of four indoor and one outdoor model and is equipped with different specs depending on your business needs for indoors and for the densest client environments we have the catalyst 9130 with a max phi of 5.3 gigabits per second for 11ax 3.5 gigabits per second for 11 ac and 1.5 gigabits per second for 11n this ap is equipped with two 5 gigahertz and one 2.4 gigahertz radio supporting channel widths of up to 160 megahertz capable of eight spatial streams and powered with cisco's award-winning rfasic which is a cisco proprietary technology providing an array of features such as enhanced wireless visibility dual dfs dedicated off-channel rrm awips rogue detection spectrum analysis and much more for a step just below we have our catalyst 9120 also with a max phi of 5.38 gigabits per second for 11ax 3.5 gigabits per second for ac and 900 megabits per second for 11n this ap is equipped with a 5 and 2.4 gigahertz radio with the flexibility to change the 2.4 gigahertz radio into 5 gigahertz it supports channel widths of up to 160 megahertz is capable of four spatial streams and also powered by cisco's rfasic for our mid tier we have a catalyst 9115 which still provide high speeds but are intended for less dense client environments and for our lower tier we have the catalyst 9105 whose small form factory make it ideal for branch office and remote working solutions for the perfect outdoor wireless experience we also have our new catalyst 9124 outdoor model with an external antenna skew with a tri-radial architecture an internal antenna skew with a flexible dual radio architecture but it doesn't end here in addition to power these access points also support an abundance of wireless solutions this includes cisco dna center for an ai driven network monitoring experience such as ai network analytics intelligent capture application experience and many more then we have dna spaces for various cisco certified iot solutions such as real-time location services then finally we have application hosting for third-party powered iot such as electronic shelf labeling but while these access points are powerful and multi-faceted to allow for peak performance we need enterprise switches that support uplink speeds faster than the access points max 5's this allows me to introduce our catalyst 9000 switching portfolio with multi-gigabit technology when it comes to switching we have two main categories access and core for access we have a catalyst 9200 90 300 and 9400 switches all which have 10 gigabit ports regarding power the catalyst 9200 has poe plus capabilities which supply connections with up to 30 watts of power while the 9300 and 9400 have upoe plus which supplies connections with up to a staggering 90 watts the intended use for access switches is to connect user level devices such as access points iphones and laptops to the wire network and with the catalyst switch's throughput and power capabilities it enables them to be the ultimate wired infrastructure for any smart building solution for core switching we have the catalyst 9600 which can have incredible 100 gigabit ports this category of switches are used in data centers to connect multiple access switches and is leveraged as the reliable backbone of the network infrastructure to achieve a wireless throughput of over 2 gigabits per second our answer was to simply combine any catalyst 9130 20 15 or 24 with any of the mentioned catalyst multi-gigabit switches and broadcast a wlan with a 40 or 80 megahertz channel width with these blazing fast switch ports combined with wi-fi 6 you've got yourself a future-proofed wireless powerhouse that's a match by any other vendor in the world with that said if you've enjoyed this video please give us a thumbs up subscribe to our channel and as always thank you for watching
